Fruit d'Amour Black Liquorice

I just smelled this at a store, and it’s almost like a mini-copy of Christian Dior’s “Hypnotic Poison”, but without the Play-Doh feel! I'm also being reminded of the perfume "Wonderstruck Enchanted" by Taylor Swift. For a fraction of the price of HP, this is AMAZING!! Gosh, the mesh of these 2 perfumes in 1 is divine!! I feel like the black licorice is warping me in its little spell! I can’t pull away! An absolute, HANDS DOWN, gourmand scent. I’m a sucker for sweet, but not sickeningly sweet scents! For some reason, it seems like the order of the notes are reversed on my skin, apart from the black licorice. I get the vanilla and tonka bean FIRST, and only within 2 hours, I get the bergamot, plum blossom and pear sorbet lingering on me. I don’t detect an ounce of orange blossom on here, and I’m kinda happy about that! I think if it were the other way around on me, I wouldn’t really buy it. Overall, I think it’s a very pretty perfume! I believe it can be used at any time, but it’ll be best during the fall/winter and evening/nighttime. That’s when the little witch comes out to play. ;) 10/10!

It was a love from first sight...This perfume is amazing, it's sweet but not too much and I think it's perfect for everyday use since the sillage is not too strong. I don't know if I'm the only one but I find it a bit similar to pink blueberry. I also have the Hypnotic Poison and I absolutely love it, but in my opinion this perfume doesn't smell anything like it.

FdABL’s first blast is full of alcohol so give it a few seconds before smelling. I got the vanilla, tonka and black licorice from the start; a beautiful and sweet combination without being overbearing. After that I could sense a weak, fresh green accord (the bergamot and icy pear) but it was very fleeting. The licorice here is not a challenging one, I find it very soft (after the initial blast) and it’s lovely and adds character, but I am among the minority who love the note so try it first if you usually don’t like licorice. The performance is on the lower side of moderate but it’s reasonably priced. The smell, despite sweet, is almost dark, mysterious and intriguing if only people around you could smell it! Great potential.

Just... Don't. It's so heavy and oh, so boring. I'm not a fan of Hypnotic Poison so was hoping for a lighter, better, less aggressive, version. That did not happen. It's overly sweet, not original enough and too heavy for summer.
