Falling in Love

I’ve been waiting for this perfume to be added to Fragrantica since I purchased this and I’m so glad to finally find this on here! I bought this perfume back in 2023 because this was said to be a dupe of Rolling in Love which after getting a single whiff, my heart was dead set on finding a clone/dupe because I couldn’t afford Kilian pricing. 😅 I won’t lie, I was a bit disappointed when this perfume arrived because it didn’t give me RiL. When I read the notes on the Emper website though, I was convinced it would be a good dupe at least 90% close because their DNA profiles are so similar with the exception of several notes from RiL missing from FiL such as Heliotrope, Raspberry, Hedione, Peony, Lactones and Caramel while FiL has the addition of Rose in the heart notes. Since it was just under $20 at the time of purchase, I figured it was a score anyways. Not exactly what I’d hoped for but I thought she could do with some maceration. I still used it on its own and would also layer, and I’d usually get compliments so it was a win for me but she wasn’t in heavy rotation other than in the fall and winter time. After two years, this has started smelling so much better and closer to RiL. I used up my sample of RiL already so I’m going off memory, but to me this isn’t as complex and I get more of a synthetic airier version of RiL. It’s great overall, unisex but possibly leaning more feminine to some because it is a bit sweet although it isn’t sickly sweet or cloying by any means. On clothes and fabric this lasts a long time but on skin it tends to progress quickly and I’m left with powdery vanilla musk after an hour or so. It lasted way longer when it was new and I’d still be able to pick this up on skin the next day. This does last quite a while but not overnight like before. I pick up powdery, almondy florals overall but I get a lot of Rose and Iris on my skin. Theres a slight spiciness but it’s subtle enough that I can’t truly call this a spicy scent, it’s on the powdery side and perfectly musky. I’ve used it in any weather except extreme heat when I prefer something fresh and clean. My brother mentioned picking up a lot of Rose and it coming off as a fancy scent, which I agree. On his skin it pulls a lot more muskier and the subtle spice is deeper as well. If you love RiL, you might like this. Even if it is a bit synthetic, it’s still in the same vein. And if you don’t have Kilian monies, like myself, then consider this a safe blind buy. I scored this for less than $20 years ago, I’ve seen it increase by a few dollars now which still isn’t a bad price point in my opinion. The bottle itself is clear with a red decal on the back only, which creates the illusion of the entire bottle being red, not sure if this is how the RiL bottles are too, as I’ve only purchased a sample. I’ve also noticed that RiL bottles have a pattern on the sides which Falling in Love does not. The juice itself has gotten significantly darker, it used to be a pale amber color. Right now it’s the same color as my bottle of Al Rehab Choco Musk.

I can't compare it to the original but I find this one addictive by itself. Sweet but not cloying, a bit powdery, a very pretty combination. I like spraying it on my hair and it lingers, people have complimented this perfume a lot. It smells like gummies on me, I find it uplfiting. Very long lasting too.

Nose Note #137 I think it's quite similar to Franck Boclet Cocaine, even the juice color is the same. Though Rolling in Love is much more tolerable, pleasant even. Cocaine is cold and I find all of this combo based on tuberose just repulsive This one is more "for everyone". Leans on the sweet side in the tonka and vanilla, feels light with the almond and dense on the tuberose. All the other notes are somewhere else. Performance is just OK. All in all pretty average scent, not very special. Maybe a little dissapointing. My wife liked it I think it's far away from CH Good Girl, it's a completely different scent I confirm it may appear as "synthetic flowery PlayDoh" smell. Just like Cocaine and Rosendo Mateu #5

Im a bit disappointed not gonna lie. It's giving generic sweet floral. The opening is harsh and screeching. The almond is present after the harsh notes that tone down within 5 to 10 min. It's not too sweet, but it is kind of generic. I just got it tho, I hope it will develop once it matures. It's not bad at all, its kind of fresh and sweet, but not strong at all.
