Luxe Rouge

I love this fragrance. It smells incredibly luxurious and expensive, like walking into a high-end hotel spa. The combo of pepper, sage, and tuberose is beautifully done, adding a soft herbal freshness that perfectly balances the florals. I'm usually sensitive to pepper notes, but here the pepper is smooth. Nothing feels sharp or overpowering. The tuberose is delicate yet slightly creamy, without any of the bubblegum sweetness that tuberose can sometimes have. The jasmine comes across as bright, clean, and airy rather than indolic. My bottle is the older version that looks more like Rouge Malachite, with a square bottle and a gem shaped cap. I couldn't find this listed anywhere on fragrantica, but the notes are identical. The name is slightly different, Emper Prive Rouge. I'm almost certain the juice is the same, I suspect there were a few copyright issues that meant the brand Emper had to give it a new bottle design/name. What an amazing blind buy. I can imagine this as a perfect wedding day scent for an elegant bride. I'm sure this bottle will age and mature beautifully, i'll keep you updated!

I love Tuberose, as in the OG Poison, Fracas, Giorgio, or more recently, Rumba Passion. Was hoping this, based on reviews, would fulfill my tuberose desires. Nope. This smells, old, dusty even. Has a slight nuance of stale wine, like the day after a party and you are cleaning up the table with a dozen half empty red wine glasses on it...Gosh I miss the 80's tuberose bombs, alas, there are none these days...The big round bottle and sprayer are nice, unfortunately, longevity is mediocre, sillage is not perceptible, sits close and is not what I expected. I have decided I am never gonna blind buy anything, and will stick to my tried and true frags, even if they have been reformulated, I know I will recognize them and appreciate them. No more fake-ass clones from UAE parading as French authentic perfume. They are all the same. Cheap smelling, have that awful fake dusty musk I can't stand and it is in everything these days. Sadness and longing prevail.

Comparing side by side to rouge malachite currently. Luxe rouge is extremely similar, maybe slightly less spicy than rouge malachite, slightly less smoothly blended. Luxe rouge may be a tiny hint sweeter. However I think you may be hard pressed to find a difference if not comparing side by side. It has the same tuberose cashmeran pink pepper sage blast, perfect for a serious confident sexy vibe. Strength and staying power is quite good. Very good dupe in my opinion, and I'm going to try my hardest to NOT buy a full RM bottle as the price is offensive. Comparison to l'interdit rouge: obviously not a dupe for it but in the same family, l'interdit is sweeter and grapier. Same warm spicy white floral vibe.

I got this in a mixed sample bag. Mature tuberose. Not really my vibe, but if you like Alien, you will like this. Very similar. I need vanilla or fruitiness in my perfume. Edit: It is growing on me. Was going to declutter, but decided to keep my large sample. I don’t think I will ever buy a full size, though.
