English Laundry #7 ... Bought it for 12.99 and tjmaxx. Out of all the flankers they had this one stood out to me. I love how strong it is . its pretty beast mode. Surprising for a non middle eastern. I don't know why but when there's a note of apricot in a fragrance it comes across high class to me luxury like. This is deffintly a gourmond it's sweet and if I had looked up this fragrance and saw the whipped cream note id probably pass on it, most smell juvenile with that note im a woman not a girl and I can pull off this fragrance its a mature nutty smooth not fluffy or airy to me ,very seductive. If you over spray you'd probably get turned off its linear doesn't change much.for 12.99 its stupid good! If you can find it at your outlet stores and you like the scent stock up! all discounters are asking 30+ for it. Ridiculous! Very pretty a sweet scent a grown woman can pull off!! Enjoy!

I found this lovely, heavy bottle sitting unpackaged at TJ Maxx this weekend, and after one sample spray it went straight into my shopping cart. This scent defines the word "cozy." It's like fresh whipped cream poured over slices of pear and melon. The fruit portion is very soft and non-cloying and the whipped cream makes it cozy and delicious. I am wearing it on a cool summer morning and it's not too much at all - I see comparisons to Jessica Simpson's Fancy and I agree, but whereas I would not be able to handle the creamy dessert vibes of Fancy in the heat of summer, I think I could handle No. 7 pretty much all year long - although having said that, I can't wait to try this in the fall and winter. Hoping to spot other English Laundry bottles on my next inevitable trip to TJ Maxx. :)

I am not a connoisseur by any means and can rarely pick out exact notes. This is a great fragrance with my chemistry! It smells sweet but not cloying, I can see the vanilla and whipped cream. I don’t really get anything fruity, on me it is a very warm, comforting, pretty scent. Sensual but not sexy. Understated and soft, but not weak. I do notice the floral in there, according to the notes it’s jasmine and that explains why I like this so much, jasmine really plays well with me and I usually love it! I bought a “rollerball” set (turned out to be atomizers but that’s fine with me!) of this and a couple of other English Laundry fragrances, all are really good on me and I will be on the lookout for a full size one.

When I first tried this, my initial thought was that it smelled just like the drink horchata! Looking at the notes, I shouldn't have been so surprised; the drink is made from rice, blanched almonds, cinnamon and sugar. This perfume has the same warm, super creamy vanilla fragrance. The layers of whipped cream, almond, and sandalwood give a lot of depth to the vanilla note. It reminds me a lot of the "rice pudding" feel of Kenzo Amour, only this is a bit sweeter. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear this, and if I'm ever feeling sad, or am having a "there's nothing to wear!!!" moment with my perfume wardrobe, I can put this on and it always feels comforting and right.

I received a 10ml in a subscription beauty box, and loved it, I've bought another 10ml. This is strong a few spritzes and it lasts all day. I dont get the top notes when I first spray, (maybe because my little bottle is old) it goes straight into the mid notes for me, almond first, and the floral comes through. The whipped cream definitely helps make it light and fluffy. As it settles the vanilla comes through, although for me, the sandalwood is stronger. It's beautiful and different to what I own,( usually more sweet, vanilla heavy scents). Happy to repurchase, its a grown up scent, I don't think I would have appreciated this 10 years ago, but I do now.

I’ve had my bottle for 6+ years and it hasn’t changed much. I’ve noticed my skin picks up on the melon, apricot, almond, gardenia. With the vanilla, whipped cream & sandalwood surrounded it making it fluffy and soft. On hot days the apricot turns funky so I add a lotion & mist before adding the perfume so I don’t get that reaction. It reminds me of a melon marshmallow Japanese candy!

It's September now and this just really works right now! Creamy, slightly sweet. I really love this! I thought I wasn't very happy with this but I bought it in the super heat of summer so it just didn't make me happy with the high heat. But right now it's perfect!!!! The longevity is around 7 hours on me.

such a charming little perfume :) i genuinely smiled spraying this on. warm fluffy vanilla, jasmine, almond, and sweet apricot/melon resting on a smooth sandalwood base. overall, smells very clean. a successful and affordable blind buy 🍑🍈 ⋆✴︎ ̊。⋆

I fw this fragrance heavy..... I usually like gourmands so I think that’s why I really love this one even though I feel it’s more floral. It does have that lactonic and vanilla touch though and it’s soo delicious.

Sophisticated vanilla creme that has a little bit of a spiced feel, like whipped creme on a German holiday cookie. Very warm but easy to wear - jasmine and baby powder make it nice.

Both fruity and woody, a nice combination. A bit too sexy for day. I feel like it’s oriental. I use my 1 ml sparingly to make it last.

I have a big perfume collection and still this is one of my very favorite fragrances of all time!

I found this at TJ Maxx and instantly fell in love with it (along with the other English Laundry fragrances such as Primrose). This scent is very powdery and sweet! It’s giving horchata and marshmallows (sometimes baby powder). It is a great scent for everyday, it does not come off screechy for me. It is very fresh. I get the almond, jasmine, gardenia, whipped cream, sandalwood and musk. To my nose, I rarely pick up the fruity notes, if any... a bit of apricot! I do get how this can be comparable to Fancy by Jessica Simpson because it does have that Fancy DNA... they both have that sweet and powdery aspect, but this scent is much more airy and floral. What would I WEAR with this perfume: Silky pajamas, boho, sun dresses, skirts, airy fits. Sandals, cute platforms. Dainty jewelry. natural makeup. Hair down.

i blind bought this during a Macy's sale. upon first sniff, i was pleasantly surprised by how it performed on paper, but spraying it on clothes and skin made my nose burn. i was so disappointed! BUT, i suppose letting it sit was the key to truly unlocking its potential! i revisited my bottle after a few months of letting it sit on my dresser, and it was everything i had been hoping for when i bought it. it's just the right amount of fruity from the melon-y notes, and i don't find it overwhelmingly sweet. interestingly enough, i get an intense powderiness, but i'm guessing that's from the jasmine mixing with the whipped cream and vanilla. as other reviewers have mentioned, longevity is abysmal, but i would say it's a nice bedtime or lounging-around-the-house scent; to me it seems very comforting and inoffensive. i likely won't repurchase if/when i run out unless at a steep discount, but i do think it's worth picking up.

I remember really loving this enough to order when I was not insane about owning perfumes :). Didn't use much the past couple years and just used it to finish it up and remember why I loved it. Warm...creamy...almonds. Horchata is a perfect way to describe it. Mmm. Edit: Amazing longevity by the way! It stayed on my skin for quite some time, but it's almost been a week, and the sweater I wore with it still smells of it! It's a shame because it was my last drop of it and I told myself I'd be super picky with repurchases...I'll keep it in mind and see if it survives the test of time :).

I like the way this smells a lot - simple & splendid - whipped cream, apricot and lots of pear - it is pleasing to my nose and makes me smile. Does it last? Good enough - I dont know how long precisely - but I got a quality perfume for $12.99 - and I like to spray it from head to toe; it smells scrumptious. Will I repurchase -? Probably- as long as it continues to be sold at discount retailers. Too many complicated things in life - sometimes you just want easy breezy, snackums. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you dont.

It opens with a fruity cantaloupe-melon then transitions into a vanilla custard, a sort of “neutral” vanilla, neither cool nor warm. After a while it shifts into a cooler vanilla bean ice cream scent and eventually settles into a dry, powdery vanilla. It’s a really pretty, comforting scent. I don’t really pick up the florals as distinct notes they add complexity but don't really stand out on their own.

A blind buy that has surprised me by going right lol! This is the perfect bedtime/chill-out fragrance as the sillage and longevity are both on the softer side of things. It's also great for the office or other close quarters where you want a nice scent but nothing too obvious. I really do like the gentle sweetness of this composition and am seriously considering getting the matching body lotion.

I really like this one! I definitely get the apricot, whipped cream, almond and vanilla. A beautiful combo on its own but here you also get some other fruity & floral notes with a smooth sandalwood base. To me it smells cozy but has a bit of tartness especially in the opening but mellows out nicely as it dries down. Great fragrance, especially for the price.

Smells like Jessica Simpson Fancy. But, less complex (can't believe I just said that). A bit heavier on the vanilla cream and less on the everything else. Not too bad. But, not great either. Kinda smells like an opened bag of Kraft Marshmallows. This would be REALLY Great for layering. Nice for the Åutumnal holidays as well

Nice, unique, not too sweet. The combination of vanilla, almond, and cream is not too sweet or gourmand, perhaps due to the powdery white flowers and musk. Unfortunately, there is sometimes a hint of something sour like overripe fruit (musk? melon?), which prevents me really loving it on my skin.

It’s a decent scent. It’s a very safe, work-friendly kind of fragrance. I have purchased it years ago and that formulation was more fruity and creamy. I repurchased around the winter holidays, and it is more floral now.

To my nose, this is a smoother version of Jessica Simpson Fancy, minus the caramel.

This is definitely a bedtime sort of scent. I get mostly apricot and whipped cream from it. The scent is very soft and it's lovely, but it doesn't last long. I will use it up but I won't repurchase

Smells like a soft, powdery, sandalwood. Really teeny tiny hint of gourmand sweetness. A nice fresh smell. Almost smells like Moonlight by Ariana Grande to me

So short-lived I only wear it to bed. But it’s a lovely fruity, creamy love...while it lasts. Got this in a set and won’t replace it when it’s gone.

i get the melon at the opening which i liked, but soon the vanilla/whipped cream comes out and for whatever reason, it just smells plasticy and cloying on me. I got a vague scent memory of mcdonald's moist towelettes for whatever reason in the background, which isn't a pleasant association lol (it could just be the cream note reminding me of the mcdonald's ice cream?). also don't get the almond at all, unless it's what's making the vanilla/whipped cream smell off to me, which is disappointing because i was looking forward to it! wore this to bed and woke up with it faintly still on my arm. the faint lingering scent of it actually smelled kind of nice to me, faintly sweet slightly melon whipped cream. it's just the hours after spraying it that i don't like unfortunately. it could be that i'm trying this in the summer so the scent might be too much in warm air (even though i wore it indoors in air conditioning). but i could see this smelling good on someone else! just for whatever reason this scent smells weird on me, but i liked how it smelled when it arrived partially spilled open in the box lol. i will most likely be returning this.

I can see most people down agree, but on my skin this is a screechy and sharp apricot clashing with a super sweet and creamy base. The deep dry down is pretty but in the main, the word that comes to mind for me when I smell this is “curdled”! It’s like too much acidic fruit juice has has been added to Chantilly cream too quickly and the mixture has separated. I think if you love Poison Girl and Wanted Girl you won’t have a problem with this perfume though!

Bought this without any interest, just for the sake of the discount I got. I generously sprayed it today for work, & I can clearly get the smell after 5 hours passed. Now I am interested for such lasting power at a discounted price. This so much reminds me CK downtown. It tends to be more on the sweet aquatic side, the sweetness is not bad at all. I give it a well done, it's work friendly & safe to use if you just want to smell good without turning heads.

On me this smells like an orange creamsicle topped with whipped cream and a dash of musk. It's too foodie for my taste but I think it's a pretty safe fragrance. I'd say best for younger perfume wearers, the tweens to twenties. It's kind of cloying to me, unfortunately. If the Jasmine/white flowers were more heady and the star with the creamy notes more as base/trail then I'd probably love it.

Sorry but this is truly awful, I can't believe a 3.4 oz bottle of this is $90 at Macy's, even the packaging is sub par. Vaguely sweet and floral but very artificial smelling. I think I said enough about this one, proceed with caution.

It started out as a non-juvenile floral-fruity fragrance, but it faded off my hand almost instantly. I don't know if it's just that I became anosmic to it that quickly, or if it's really gone and can't be smelled by anyone else around me. Edited to add: It took me a while to realize, but I think this has the same chemical accord as a lot of designer "gourmand" fragrances. Unfortunately, that accord also gives me a headache. I'll have to try it one more time, but if that accord is indeed present, that would make this fragrance unusable to me.

English Laundry No7 is a very sweet, fruity floral. I don't take away much dimension from it, since it's as if the sweet fruity notes and the sweet floral notes coalesce into one big sugary melon-pear-apricot-jasmine punch. My opinion should not detract from this perfume though, as I receieved more than a few compliments wearing it today. It's a heady mix and clearly turns heads. This will make a nice spring fragrance for someone who likes the recipe, but I could easily see English Laundry no7 becoming a little too cloying in summertime.

I received a small sample vial of this the other day. It is infinitely wearable, rather comforting and honestly, rather boring to me at the same time. Nothing to write home about, and I actually think it might smell better on a (sweaty) man. I think if it had a tiny bit more amber or musk it may have been more interesting. It is certainly nice and would be non-offensive to wear to church or the office, etc... It lasted about two hours tops on my skin.

this is a really nice scent for bargain price. I saw it in local Marshalls for 12.99 and smelled it on a whim. I really love this. I get apricot and melon which gives it very fresh opening and gardenia with other sweet notes makes for perfect balance of fresh, creamy and sweet. My skin seem to eat up perfume but i could smell it on myself for at least 2 hours so not bad at all for such bargain. I would like to try other fragrances from this brand now.

This was a surprising blind buy at Burlington Coat Factory for $12.99 for a 3.4 oz EDP. It's a nice gourmand that has similarities to Lancome's LVEB. Fruity, vanilla, with flowers in the background. Unlike Hanae Mori and Black Opium, I wouldn't repurchase but I'm happy to have it in my collection. Very nice packaging with a heavy glass bottle and heavy plastic lid has rhinestones in the front.

I smell vanilla and whipped cream on my skin. Beautiful scent if you like those notes (I do). Very very light silage and not much for longevity but I wear this around the house or as a cozy bedtime scent. I found this at TJMaxx for $15 so I’m not complaining to have a comforting at home sweet scent for a bargain. I layer it with Philosophy fresh cream lotion and they make a great combo.

This is wavering between "dislike" and "like." In fact, I feel I might actually enjoy this on someone else. But there's something so typically floral-gourmand,and it has a sharpness as well as an unsettling base that turns my stomach a bit. Granted, it is rather warm in Haiti as I'm testing it. Cooler weather might just make it sparkle! I will be gifting my travel spray.

Well thank God I found this at tjmaxx for 12.99. It’s not that bad and maybe I’m fortunate to find at this price. Sillage is not good and neither is longevity. It’s really not that bad thou. It’s just a very sweet type of fragrance. I would wear this in the summer during the day. It’s really ok at 12.99 but 90 is way too much for this

This is a lot like Fancy from Jessica Simpson, they even share many notes, the big difference is No 7 is airier, more fluffy, Fancy is heavier. I think it’s the whipped cream note in No 7 verses the caramel note in Fancy. To me, they should be flankers for each other, and if you one like you’d likely like the other.

Gross. Started off as a glue or rubber cement smell. But as it sat for 30 minutes, changed to almost an exact match of Dolce & Gabbana's The One. Except when I wear the One it turns into a cat pee smell on me. So the One minus the cat pee. Still gross.

Fruity floral with a strangely tobacco-y note - I don't get cream at all, more woodsy. Not the greatest staying power - which I have noted with EL scents but I got this as a Birchbox sample so I'm not going to complain.

I love wearing this scent at home when I want to smell good and be cozy. A hint of tartness is offset by a lot of vanilla, really nice. Not a lot of sillage or even longevity but a beautiful fragrance nonetheless.
