Enrico Coveri Paillettes Classico is a fragrance that perfectly embodies the vibrant and slightly retro elegance of the Italian maison. recipe according to enrico coveri's site: top; cassis, cilantro, bergamot, mandarin middle; camelias, mimosa, orange blossom, carnation base; patchouli, vetiver, iris, amber I bought mine on ebay as part of a collection of mini bottles, it may be the original, because it doesn't say classico anywhere. I was surprised to see it categorised as a fruity floral, because what I get is a strong smell of joss sticks. I like it, it's not pure joss stick, there's a sophisticated floral in there too. I thought it might be a chypre. On buying a large bottle, I've realised my mini bottle smells just the same but without the grapefruity scent at the beginning. I would guess the citrus has broken down over time. I still like it, but the initial blast of what smells like grapefruit to me, does remind me of an aftershave. I like it when it's calmed down a bit. I think I wouldn't have bought this had I tested it in a shop. I would have dismissed it immediately based on that top note.

This was a great find. There is definitely a similarity with Juliette has a gun Oil Fiction. This is brighter and not quite so heavy. I think there is jasmine present along with tuberose. The cassia and cilantro are quite strong in this. There is also something fruity going on in the background which I guess is the mandarin. The base definitely has amber present. It has a good silage and hangs around for many hours. There is something very 80s about it but if you don't spray too much you should be fine

Testing a vintage mini. I thought it was a man ́s cologne as it came in a lot and I was looking at it for all one year on my husbands cologne tray and then I am like what is this and WOW what a perfume. Really a lovely one. If you want something that defines the 80s in a light scent you may like this one. Great name too. Really recommend this one. Always buy vintage and many times if you can get full minis, they seem in good condition.

I'm wearing this perfume most days now. It's funny that enrico coveri's site doesn't mention jasmine, because it smells very strongly of jasmine grandiflorum oil when I've been wearing it for some hours. I've changed my like to love, in part because it smells like my grandma who died last year, (she didn't wear paillettes, but she did burn joss sticks, and she may have worn jasmine) and I love the floral mixture of this scent.

To my nose this is more a classic 80's Chypre floral. It is strong & sophisticated, I think with some green & sweet notes, honey, oakmoss I think. I should look it up in my vintage books!!

For everyone that love Paillets, I recommend Ted Lapidus Creation. It's very similar.

Its top notes come from blueberry, mango and spices; middle notes from peony, peach, freesia, heliotrope and citruses. The base notes are taken from vanilla, sandalwood, musk & cedar to round off a delicate collection of fruits with flowers, bringing out the delicacy of the fragrance.

Love it. It's a sharp, crisp, floral chypre fragrance. Om my perfume eating skin is the projection and longtivity moderate. It's no power bomb but definitely present. A cheapy but the scent is not cheap at all. 😊👍🏻

This was such a nothingburger on me. Maybe it was my bottle? It had no strength and no longevity. It made me mad! I would love for it to have had the punch it had when I stuck my nose over the open bottle. But alas, it did not. I can’t even say I hate it because I can’t even smell it on me.

I have found this list: top notes: bergamot, mandarin and blackcurrant, heart notes: jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, orris and cloves, base notes: vetiver, patchouli, musk, myrrh and amber. The version of the 80s, despite this list, smell like gardenia heliotrope violette and green musky notes plus some mandarin and soapy jasmine/ylang. Recalls me Molinard de Molinard and Envol by Lapidus, but more creamy and sunny without loose its melanchonic femininity of humid white flowers of a secret garden. Version of the 90s since now are another story, another fragrance.

yes! 1983 but now is completely changed :-( horrible! nothing compared with the old one.I'm very disappointed and sad because it was one of my favourites. it was sparkling with a hint of pepper..it was specially and unforgettable..now is chypre! nada que ver..
