Blue Kalbar

A gorgeous musky Floriental showcasing a central blue lotus note, this is yet another winning release from Ensar Oud. The perfume opens with the lotus along with hints of magnolia, mimosa, rose, neroli and lavender. Then its slightly moves to a resinous woody heart with hints of pine, cypress, sandalwood and nutmeg. The perfume settles into a powdery musky base of oud, ambergris, and civet and dries to mainly reveal the lovely lotus note. This is a lovely, sensual and lingering experience. The perfume has moderate to strong projection and sillage. It displays good longevity and is firmly unisex. This is a perfume oil and hence should be dabbed with care on skin before it becomes too overwhelming. A beautiful lyrical sensory experience. Enjoy!

wonderful composition. i have to say, as many attars and mukkhalts as i have smelled (and owned) over the years, this is definitely the best, most seamlessly blended. it's true, it's not very strong -- but it is *very* good.

Have the attar, It's a stunning oil and a very small amount goes a great way, it's a unique floral accompanying the oud, piney in the back but oud floral complexity at the forefront I own nothing like this it is fantastic.

Lots of layers come to light while wearing this fragrance..by the time you’re placing your finger on one smell you’re noticing another one. Beautiful and a tiny bit goes a long way

Incredibly beautiful, inviting and warm. A multitude of complex scents waft in, out and around the narcotic .... yes .... narcotic blue lotus. Truly a wonderful scent to wear.

Wow! Very beautiful and wonderful! , it start with clean floral notes and end with woody notes ,i cant explain! One of the best oil parfum 10/10

No doubt about it these attars ensar is making are beautifully blended with top notch ingredients but i just wish they packed more of a punch. Blue kalbar is a wonderful attar but performance is just not there or at least not on my skin. Performance i am getting around 6 hours with little to no sillage.

I get mostly lotus, supported by clear aquatic notes of cypress, then strong orange blossom and rose, lavender, oud, civet. Refreshingly fresh, more daytime, unisex, pleasant, with a medicinal, subtle, floral sweetness in the middle and a beautiful creamy sandalwood through to the drydown. Relaxing.

This review is for the Blue Kalbar SE pure parfum version Blue Kalbar SE is quite the olfactory journey that I am not too familiar with. From the very start, the fragrance exudes an air of richness, with an incredibly unique and calming nature. The blue lotus is a revelation for me as this is the first perfume I have had that really puts blue Lotus at the forefront. It has a buttery warmth and subtle sweetness that are unlike anything I’ve encountered. I think the closest thing it reminds me of is a high quality iris or orris butter. It has an ethereal or airy quality that seems light and fleeting, but yet it is projecting heavily off my skin. The many different floral elements creates a delicate bouquet, balanced by the woody, honeyed undertones of blue cypress and kewda. There is also a creaminess to the fragrance from the sandalwood and ambergris. The ouds add a depth and an almost incense-like facet without overshadowing the softer floral components. As it develops, the fragrance becomes even more nuanced. Notes like Ta’ifi rose and cedar are detectable. The overall experience is one of harmonious contrasts: cool yet warm, soft yet structured, intimate yet grand. Blue Kalbra was a complete blind buy for me, and I am very happy with the outcome. This is the softest, most delicate perfume I have experienced from Ensar, and I am very pleased. This is a welcome departure from the smoky, oud heavy fragrances I typically wear from the house.

It was the description of the complexity and difficulty of acquiring the blue lotus flower that intrigued me to sample this attar. It is undoubtedly one of the smoothest scents i have experienced. It seamlessly moves from one note to the other without any hard edges. One of the priciest samples for me. Lasted about 6 hours on my skin. it was like floating on an open long boat in a lightly misted pond. Rich hues of green and blue are all around you. thick fresh brush tickle the surface of the water. There's a chill in the air. You wrap your blanket around you a little bit tighter. There is no urgency to the trip. No specific destination. Just a deeply satisfying journey.
