Another World

I love this fragrance. My go-to right now. The ink opening is so interesting, and after about an hour you are left with a really great musky and woody comforting fragrance. I was thinking this would be an autumn winter vibe but I’ll be wearing it year-round. It lasts a good while too.

It has that soft, paper-like, musky quality that immediately brings L’Eau Papier to mind, but this feels slightly deeper and more grounded, with a more defined structure. The ink and wood notes add form without making it feel heavy, so it still comes across as light and fluffy.

So nice! Papery-musks,pine and a light ink note. It’s super simplistic but really soothing and more interesting to my nose than the abundance of white musks out there. To me this smells somewhere inbetween angel dust and L’eau Papier. The person below me described it very well!

It smells very similar to CDG - Marseille, but with a cooler, fresher vibe.

This fragrance bears a striking resemblance to L’Eau Papier by Diptyque, and I have to start by admitting that; it’s an undeniable truth. Looking at the note lists alone, you’d never connect the two, but your nose absolutely would. The similarity, I believe, lies in the combination of musk and peppery nuances possibly even a roasted sesame facet / black pepper. In Papier, the “ink effect” comes from the trio of roasted sesame extract, rice steam, and musk; and that same ink impression exists here too. While Papier can sometimes lean a bit too sharp and peppery on my skin, this one feels softer, slightly more coniferous in tone. The finishing touches here are exquisite. This turned into more of a comparison than a simple review, but honestly, there was no other direction to take. Overall, it’s a beautiful scent; refined and well-crafted, with a drydown that’s particularly impressive. 3 months later: I now turn to this whenever I want something less powder-driven and far darker in mood; so much so that I find myself craving it even more than the aforementioned reference. I love this fragrance. I am brand new into trying new fragrances, at least beyond your typical department store classics (I wore Dior Poison for about a year straight) and have never experienced a fragrance that invoked such a strong memory, so I'll take some time to explain my memory for such a novel stimuli. I've written with fountain pens my whole life, well, really from the age of 9. Naturally as the antithesis of a person comprised of disposable income in middle school I found myself writing with pens which were relegated to the cheaper side. Needless to say, they leaked; everywhere. By my teachers I was known as the kid with ink on my hands, and typically blue ink. Before I found myself down the railroad to financial ruin called "hobbying" I used to buy this specific brand of looseleaf notebook paper. I distinctly remember the smell of the ink on the cheap paper and the leaks and spills that would ensue. This fragrance is that on the skin. Very pleasing scent to my nose

I ordered this as a sample. When I first wore it I was hooked. The pepper was what drew me in. So I bought a full bottle. After I sprayed my bottle and wore it for the day, I became sick of it. I don’t know if it’s the inkiness or what but this synthetic powder scent that just lingers makes my throat close up. It developed into this piney almost minty note that reminds me of the chemical scent of sharpies (ink note?). I am grossed out by it, so much so that I think I need to take a break from buying fragrances. Disappoint and disgusted in myself.

I agree that this strongly resembles L'Eau Papier, particularly in the type of pillowy musks that are used and the soft woodiness it presents. It's actually a pretty sweet scent though, which pulls pretty synthetic to my nose. I wish that was toned down a bit and I got more of the ink and pine facets. Edit: the longevity is impressive, considerably dialed up when compared to L'eau Papier (EDT).

Another.... A sharp green edge. Initially loud, shiny and masculine with pepper, pine and ink in the foreground. It reminds me of stevia.. After about 2 hours it becomes strongly sweet, earthy musky, PATCHOULOUSE...

Absolutely love this scent. I get ink, sweet pine, and white musk. Works really well with my skin chemistry and last a good bit. @Chumaosse, if you still have your bottle, I would love to buy it :)

Opens like Angel Dust and slowly turns into Tears by Regime Des Fleurs. I'm testing both at the same time right now. Nearly the same scent. I do like this one ever so slightly more.

A generous amount of ink is poured over all the woody aroma of a wonderful pine and cedar wood. After it dries, it’s garnished with spices. A clean, inky, beautiful woody aromatic.
