Vanì Charnel

This is such a beautiful vanilla with a good balance of sugary gourmand notes, fruits, & a few florals. It's just right to me! I don't actually smell any floral notes, but I believe they're there to keep it from becoming too cloying. There's a smooth light brown caramel note in this that's not too heavy or thick and it's creamy. It's not a dark brown or burnt caramel note, but just more like a drizzle of caramel over the candied fruits & this reminds me of vanilla ice cream. The fruity notes don't stand out too much to me either, but they give this vanilla caramel scent some substance other than just sugar. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you won't sniff this and smell juicy fruits, but the candied fruits give a nice hint of a twist that makes this different than some other straight vanilla perfumes. Overall, this reminds me of a creamy vanilla ice cream scent. I've searched for a vanilla ice cream scent and even the ones that list ice cream as a note miss the mark for me. This smells like vanilla ice cream that's halfway melted because it has more warmth to it and doesn't have any icy notes and it doesn't feel like a cold scent or have any frozen scent accords. With a bit of overspraying, this has pretty decent projection and very good longevity for me! It's not a powerhouse that you'll smell across the room, but it definitely has a presence even in cooler weather. In warmer weather with the heat warming up the fragrance on my skin more, it projects even better! I'm not sure why a few people are saying they smell latex from this, but I don't get that at ALL, not even a little. Scent: 10/10 Projection: 6.5/10 Longevity: 9/10

I truly love this vanilla, caramel fragrance. It's soft, yet long lasting, radiates nicely within arms length, it actually has some depth. I love the little touches the artist made to this fragrance! The Vanilla and Caramel is most prominent, but than the Candied fruit adds a nice sweet fruity backdrop, benzoin helps add warmth and a stable ground to keep it from being all sugar, and then the peach blossom is in there adding a very slightly floral touch to keep it from going too sugary as well and it's blended so well in here, to where you can feel it, you can tell the florals are in here but you can't exactly place them either. This is my 2nd most favorite vanilla that I have, 1st being fire at will. I feel like now that I have these 2 scents. I could get rid of all my other vanilla frags besides maybe Royal Crown Sultan. But I have like 20 vanilla frags right now and I can't wait to get rid of them so I cam minimize my vanilla collection, and I now I just need to figure out my top 2/3 favorite Chocolates so I can also cut back on the 10 chocolate frags I have lmao. But yes this is LOVELY. Def worth the money imo. Just please test before you buy b/c everyone is different. And maybe you already have a top 3 vanilla list and this won't cut it for you or maybe it's too similar to something you already have. But for me this is a 9/10. She's a true beauty and a keeper in my collection ALWAYS!

In the opening I get spun sugar and a tiny bit of vanilla-strawberry hard candy; the lemon note in the opening is fleeting. Then it settles into a beautiful vanilla with not much evolution after that. This is from top to bottom, a sweet creamy caramel vanilla fragrance along the lines of Mazzolari Vaniglia but with very slightly less caramel and more fruitiness— but not fresh fruits, hard candy-like fruitiness. I don’t get any florals. This is not a heavy vanilla by any means, the words ‘fluffy’ and ‘airy’ come to mind. It’s beautiful, feminine-leaning but a man can pull this off if he is not restricted by boundaries of what is considered feminine or masculine. Overall a beautiful fragrance, definitely worth checking out. EDIT: Y’all are going to think I’m crazy but I’m getting elements of Glaze Ecstacy. Like the sweet fluffiness in the dry down of Glaze Ecstacy. EDIT 2: Deep dry down, I’m getting strawberry vanilla ice cream. EDIT 3: Projection— arms length for about 2 hours then a nice scent bubble. Longevity: 6-8 hours on my skin, over 10 hours on clothes.

I am wearing my sample from L.S. today and as soon as I put it on, my grown up son came into the room and said "What is that smell?!" He never does that with any of my perfumes. He loved it and wanted to smell it in the tester bottle too. It's a sweet, caramel gourmand, even though generally I'm not a fan of caramel at all. It's got a burnt sugar smell to me that's addicting. My most recent purchase was Escapade Gourmande, and I'm wondering if I should have waited and bought this instead. I still love the other one, but this one a little more so. I have a feeling it will be going on my full bottle wish list. It leaves such a delicious trail behind me. I have smelled Pink Sugar and hated it, so I do not think this smells alike at all. This is so much more elegant and made with better materials. I also agree with MyChinaRose (bottom review) that mentions something lactonic in this scent. I get that too, and it's a perfect pairing with the almost burnt vanilla smell here. I'm not getting any florals, citrus or fruits though, and that is fine with me!

Vanì Charnel by Epicò opens up as a sweet vanilla musk. Over time a rich, warm caramel seeps through to upstage the gentle musk. Vanì Charnel blooms into a smooth and balanced gourmand. There is a hint of sticky, buttery, condensed milk throughout the scent, and it is deeply comforting. At the end of her long life, Vanì Charnel leaves with just a faint sugary vanillic musk left, just as she began. After giving her a chance, Vanì Charnel is a very warm, sugary, and creamy caramel. This is not a "complex" scent, but it is every Gourmand lover's dream. To me, this perfume smells like dulce de Leche. I do not detect any of the fruits or florals listed in the top notes. Vanì Charnel is feminine, rich, and sensual. I actually received compliments on my perfume all throughout the day! Delicious scent, lovely projection, excellent sillage. A new favorite for me!~♡

Finally, after being SOOO hard to get, she is mine!! And she is GOOD! Vani Charnel is buttery caramel cookie goodness! I wore her last night after my shower and she was still there when I woke up this morning! Such a comforting scent bubble of deliciousness and I keep wanting more! Vani Charnel reminds me of Bath and Body Works Christmas Cookies and also Jousset Accident a la Vanille, so if you are a fan of those scents I am pretty sure this would be a safe blind buy for you. Very caramel-y and heavier on the first spray but lightens up a little as I wear it. The bottle is exquisite and looks so luxe on my vanity. If you are a gourmand lover this is a must have! Absolutely yummy!

This was highly raved by reknowned perfume influencers without commission or affiliate code marketing. And I can see why! It's a super smooth vanilla buttercream. 80% gourmand, with 20% perfume facets. A fluffy, airy, jovial yet classy vanilla frosting with good lasting power and moderate projection. Doesn't have any cheap synthetic nastiness or reminders of a body spray and is not straight up vanilla extract. Surprisingly office-safe gourmand, I recommend to any vanilla lovers looking for a sophisticated vanilla. Edit: I just received a compliment on this scent, also its projecting like crazy even 3 hours later! Love it

I’m surprised to be the first reviewer! This is delicious. Hands down, this is a dessert. And the notes are really very deceiving. There is something very lactonic about this perfume, although no milk notes appear in the pyramid. It reminds me right off the bat of Biancolatte... although unfortunately, while quite beautiful, Biancolatte doesn’t last on me. Then the drydown is very much like hot fudge sundae. This scent is rich and thick and sumptuous. I only have a 10ml decant, but if dessert gourmands are your jam, you may find this full bottle worthy. I see one in my future.

This scent is sublime! If you are looking to smell sweet and edible but not choke people out, this is it. It’s a beautiful caramel, vanilla, musk gourmand that is light enough to wear in the warmer weather. Definitely agree that it is a lighter and more sophisticated version of Accident a la Vanille, which was too strong and buttery for me. This is a cozy comfort scent and a new favorite in my collection🤍

This is a perfume I can only wear when the weather is cold - not because it’s too cloying in the heat, but because I literally cannot smell it in warm weather. I have never had this problem with any other perfume, in fact if anything it’s usually the opposite. It is delicious when I can smell it though! Sparkly cotton candy-ish berries followed by vanilla and warm buttery caramel.

This is beautiful. I get a warm, sweet and creamy, buttery vanilla. The caramel intertwines with the vanilla so well. I get a burnt sugar smell that is mouthwatering. So yummy! Once it's drying down I only get the tiniest hint of fruitiness that's way in the background giving it some depth. But make no mistake, this is a gourmand vanilla and caramel fragrance. It's a love for me.

Wow... so creamy and a very potent vanilla scent. Some noses may turn this heavy heavy vanilla into a strange smell... but not for my nose. I fell in love with first sniff. The dry down is a lovely musk. It may even start off super sweet but that fades pretty quick into a warmer musky scent. Delicious gourmand for all the vanilla musk lovers.

I'm a huge vanilla lover. To my nose Vani Charnel is like a much softer less potent Vanilla Tana. I own Vanilla Tana and will be purchasing a bottle of Vani Charnel. It's good. Gives a fluffier wear than Vanilla Tana. Good longevity, unsure about projection given I only have a sample. And I much prefer the price point of VC over VT.

This fragrance immediately made my top Vanilla's. It is stunning and just keeps getting better. I immediately bought a backup. It is very similar to Vanilla Tana, yet less buttery, More of a spun sugar opening and less rich. That being said, it is still delectable. I love having both.

Very light and airy buttered vanilla cookie. I wish it were stronger. Longevity is moderate on my skin, but stays well on clothes. Atomizer isn’t my favorite. It wears too light for my liking. I love it, but it’s more so something I would wear to bed.

very delicious smelling. if you're gourmand lover like i am, you'll love it. if not, you might find it cloying. the scent reminds me of carnival food like caramel popcorn, funnel cake and those sugary little donuts. a delightfully sweet aroma

Lovely fruity vanilla that really reminded me of Dulce Diablo. An apricot and honey type fragrance that exploded off the skin. Lots of fluffy vanilla and blossoms to round it out. It seems to behave very differently on skins. Most definitely a fruit bomb for me worn on a mid temperature winters day. Nothing like Tihota (which I found incredibly dull and flat like a watered down Bianco Latte) or the yummy milky roiboos notes of Royal Bourbon or even Escapade Gourmand. I’m going to grab a decant and spend more time with her.

A nice, easy gourmand caramel perfume, and on my skin, smells very natural. If there’s any knock against it.... It would be that it’s not that unique as evidenced by the “smells like” list. Still, a pleasant day was spent with this perfume. Definitely a cold weather perfume, and with above average performance. Bonus points for the beautiful bottle and label design.

Beautiful gourmand, very VERY similar to Jousset Accident a la vanille (just adds a touch of fruits & latex) Letting it sit for now. Edit (Nov 2025): It's gotten much better, creamier & milkier and I'm enjoying it; plus the latex smell is so faint now (I can barely smell it). Worth the wait & a strong like now.

This is a sweet fruity and lightly floral vanilla, but nothing here to suggest the unbridled lust of the ad copy. Delicious, pretty, and different. Not a caramel-heavy fragrance although it does feature in the drydown.

Personally had to really over spray to get it to project but once it started projecting it stayed on & strong! It just took A LOT. But a beautiful fragrance. A simple safe blind buy IMO. I’ll purchase the full size

If you like Tihota with added butter, sweetness, caramel and a strawberry note you might enjoy this. I love the scent of my sillage but in my scent bubble there is just something synthetic that is throwing off the composition. Maybe it’s just an overload of vanilla, caramel and strawberry and as a gourmand lover that almost seems not possible but I’m just not sure if it’s completely balanced or it’s just my skin chemistry and nose. This fragrance is perfect for the cooler temperatures since it’s super rich, thick and sweet and can only see myself reaching for it then. Personally I wouldn’t recommend blind buying especially if you are picky about your vanilla and caramel fragrances and if you are not a fan a butter definitely try before buying.

wow it really reminds me of tea specially the yorkshire tea biscuit brew😅but there’s definitely caramel or a lot sugar in this tea ☕️ something here is nostalgic for me..it’s reminding me of drinking tea at my nanas house when I was little and there’s a lot of sugar in our teas she always had a sweet tin on the table full of fruity sweets maybe that’s what I’m getting way way in background anyways saying all this makes it sound like it’s more than it actually is but to be honest it’s pretty much just another vanilla caramel and if you like escapade gourmande you will probably like this

Explain to me why no one is comparing this to Vanilla Bean Noel by B&BW??? It's 90% similar. A scent that is also extremely similar to Tihota Indult. They all 3 are in the same family and are at least 90% similar between each other

Smells like a latex condom with a bit of vanilla cream on the tip. Very strange.

First impressions: (sample) This reminds me of a vanilla perfume I know but not quite sure. Hmmm Edit 1: I think this reminds me of Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed What We Do Is Secret for just a brief moment. I must be the peach blossom I’m smelling. This perfume is okay but it’s faint on me. Edit 2: Oof there’s a plastic artificial smell in the background that I can’t quite pick out. Then someone said it smells like a vanilla latex cond*m and I was like. Oh now I smell it. Yikes. Verdict-pass. Something plasticy about this.

In theory, this should be the perfect summer scent for me, but it smells like ????mysteries???? It’s sweet, but in a licorice way that’s pretty heavy. Confused on if I like it or not, leaning towards no.

All the notes suggest that this is something I'd like. Alas, it's a weird plastic vanilla. It's like a car-wash wafer.

I was shocked but I literally gagged when I first smelled it - the dry down is way better, and what I was expecting from this, but not worth the fact that the first hour or so I almost vomit :( I can see why people like it but something in this rubbed me the wrong way. // I think it was the butteriness that made me nauseous. Ended up giving my sample away.

This is very similar to Vanilla Tana by Gritti or i should say Gritti copied this scent. Its a lovely fluffy vanilla with candied nuances. I own Vanilla Tana and compared both and i prefer more vanilla tana (despite i dont fall in love with it either). After Vanilla Planifolia extrait 21 by guerlain no other vanilla has my attention... Vanilla charnel is ok but a little by too mass appealing, clogging and synthetic. A huge pass for me!

I received a bottle from Italy before it was available at Lucky Scent. I let it settle for a month before trying it again. I like it, but I honestly don’t feel like it’s full bottle worthy. It falls flat and it smells like it’s missing something to give it more depth or a bit more sweetness, so it’s not so flat. I feel like it smells like I put on cocoa butter. For $180, just put on some coco butter.

didn’t bat a single eye at this opening. honestly, given the hype surrounding this fragrance, i was borderline unimpressed (bored, even). it was definitely giving “meh.” but OH BABY that drydown came and knocked me right out in the best way. it’s intoxicating and i could not stop sniffing myself. creamy cloud of sweet vanilla. i own and often wear vanitas (which vani charnel is compared to). i see the comparison as both are baked good-esque vanillas. but vanitas is definitely “sharper,” in a way. whereas vani charnel might pat you gently on the arm, vanitas is gonna reach out and grab you. i’m waffling re: whether it’s redundant (for vanillla gourmand lover) to own both.

With all the hype surrounding this last year, you would think it was super deletable. It's fine. I was wondering why this simple fruits and caramel perfume smelled familiar despite the fact it was hailed as some super unique gourmand masterpiece. It's because the musk in here reminds me of Coty's Vanilla Musk. Layer the $10 Coty perfume with Prada Candy, I think you'd get the same effect.

Cookied vanilla. That's all. Very similar to Tihota, or even Outremer's Vanille. Vanì Charnel is a gourmand scent for sure. I would rather have a rich, non-edible vanilla, personally, but I will give this points for not turning cloying or giving me any headaches despite its dessert-sweetness. Definitely a must-try for those who love all the "smells-likes!"

Super light. Super powdery. To my nose it is as if someone made eternal coffee by Paris Corner without the coffee note and watered it down with some type of fat free creamer. It reminds me of a caramel powder puff .. not heavy . I don't know if it's full bottle worthy for me just yet. I will let this sit a bit before I come to a true conclusion.

Much lighter and airier version of Accident A la Vanille without heavy dose of caramel, but caramel is still here. There're some lactonic notes in here, not milk, but something milky... condensed milk, but just a hint! It's not a heavy gourmand, but still gourmand. I really like it! One of the best vanilla perfumes for me so far.

There haven’t been too many fragrances that have wowed me lately, but this one is absolutely gorgeous. It is the most smooth, buttery caramel that I have ever come across. If you are a big fan of vanilla & caramel (Vaniglia, Vanille West Indies, Lira), you will love this one.

idk if i’m anosmic or what but these caramel benzoin scents are very dry and faint smelling to me. yes it’s sweet but just not hyperrealistic and edible smelling as other gourmands i’ve tried. this is in the same vein as escapade gourmande / caramelo vanilla to me

I ordered a full size from Scent Split. however, I find it similar to Bianco Latte, minus powderines and with added waxiness which does not go well with my skin. selling mine on ebay at discount if anyone is interested.

I fell in love with this perfume, it doesnt smell like jousset accident la vanille though, that one smells more like cheirosa 71, vani charnel does not smell like that. Its a buttery vanilla caramel. Delicious

Very pretty fragrance ! I finished an entire sample ! It is similar to st barths- but I really like that scent profile . Is it a little redundant ? Yes It it a linear vanilla ? Kinda 7.5/10

I'm learning that carmel notes are difficult to duplicate and often read as plastic, latex or rubber. I'll keep trying until I can find that perfect blend, if it's at all possible.

Vani Charnel is quite a simple yet lovely gourmand. This isn’t a sticky, cloying gourmand perfume like Bianco Latte, it’s more like Prada Candy with extra caramel and fruits added.
