November No 11

The notes (with how strongly I smell them at each stage) are... Top Notes: Cardamom (0), Frankincense (1), Iris (2), Rosewood (1) Heart Notes: Cedarwood (3), Fir balm (2), Heliotrope (2) Base Note: Benzoin (1), Chocolate (2), Frankincense (1), Tonka bean (2) I tested this in the cool back of my hand plus the warm crook of my elbow. In both places I sprayed, it starts off a bit chaotic, but within about 10-15 minutes calms down to a very pleasant woody smell. Within half an hour, base notes are noticable. I cannot comment on the overall longevity, because I went and worked out three hours into wearing this (I could still smell it at the four hour mark, when I went to shower). In the warmth, the rosewood, pine and frankincense are strongest [and stay for the duration]; in the cool, it's a sweet woody (rosewood + cedar) chocolate, with heliotrope and tonka [passing through stages]. The far drydown for both warm and cool is light wood + a touch of frankincense. Overall, I would say this is a genderless scent--there is sweetness and a lightly floral stage, but it's (almost equally) balanced with the wood/fir/incense. Some people may find it swings too far to one side or the other for them, and for this reason I strongly recommend that you don't blind-buy it (like I did, lol)! I do like the scent, and am looking forward to giving it a proper wearing.

What you mostly get from November No 11 are sweet sugary notes. These are underlined by lavender and cardamom. I admit I can be wrong here but that's mainly what I get from it besides a tad of medicinal notes. I'd definitely think that this is a female fragrance as it's very sweet. In conclusion a sugarbomb in a bottle.
