Green Spell

This perfume has a soul. It feels alive with a green beating heart. It feels like the soul of a weed or a tomato vine has been captured within. This... Green Spell, is a supreme being from the brand. A terrestrial marvel. If our planet was actually on its way towards a nigh and obvious apocalypse and if I believed in aliens I would put this perfume into a time capsule on a satellite as the reference for what Earth smelled of. Crisp, snappy, dewy, refreshing, photo-realistically green and tomato-y. Vintage green chypres can only wish they were made like this. I imagine it was almost impossible to capture the kind of transparent, watery, sleekness exhibited in Green Spell with the thick, green, full bodied and opaque ingredients they had in the past. I feel like a philistine saying this but Roudnistka himself would probably feel threatened by this creation. For me this easily succeeds vintage greens and I say that sincerely. I won't even name fragrances just to maintain respect to the classics that have laid the groundwork for Green Spell. Green spell is a perfect and polished deconstructed green chypre. It functions as a minimalist chypre without a tree resin or oakmoss dominant base as most of the provided notes are very prominently top and heart dominant ingredients. On me even with a minimal base it has good lasting ability for a freshie, that continues to transform seamlessly and mouthwateringly into its fruitier heart having a grape-y, blackcurrant, salty ambroxan, gently, soapy musk and dry, woody, vetiver acting as the slightly heftier fougère platform from which the assertive green chypre top can subside. Green spell bursts out like a geyser of fresh, dewy fig leaf, grassy, bitter, Iranian galbanum and true-to-life tomato vine that is vegetal, savory, reminiscent of petrichor and refreshing beyond belief. To me it is never too sharply green. Sinus cleansing, ripe and relaxing is as far green as it gets on me never to the point of being piercing, fermented and rooty. In its restraint it successfully creates a real place with real plants like I'm outside in my yard right now cutting the grass, weeding the flower bed or tending to the herbs. Green Spell is like you are levitating in the middle of a rainforest with your nose firmly pressed against a ball of freshly picked plants in your hand. You can smell the earth, the humidity, the snapped stems the subtlety of fruitiness in a picture perfect way. Immediately as it dries down and the green tomato leaf subsides, you are further away from the trees now, possibly above them gliding just over the canopies almost as if on a zip-line. The smell is now more suggestive of dew and fruitier, fresher more transparent with an approachable and very well-done blackcurrant note that gives it a kind of soft woodiness. The beautiful and watery blackcurrant is almost grape-y with fresh dew, grassiness and extra woody nuance from the fig leaves. An absolutely fantastic deconstructed green chypre. A vintage archetype done with modern sensibilities and sincere talent. Green Spell is special, a very noble, dapper and refreshing blend. It is unisex. Spring and summer easy. Great golfing, tennis, basketball, hiking, biking or gym scent. Even if you can only try one fragrance from this line I highly suggest trying Green Spell. It is masterful. 🍅🪴🍇 10/10

No. 19, my love, is that you? It looks like you, it sounds like you. It’s not you, is it? You are Snow White’s Evil Queen, regality and primness concealing sly nefariousness until you walk by a mirror that drops the illusion of your spell. You are Ursula, a black haired beauty using a voice that doesn’t belong to you until the charm is broken and your tentacles reveal themselves, reaching out for strangulation. Galbanum is the muscle and bone of this witch. Everything hangs off of it. The completely parched and oily orange zest, and the tight, elastic, densely fleshy blue fruit note, like makeup and lipstick they compliment the jewelry of violet and tomato leaves. Every shade of green is present here, from the underripe oranges only slightly gaining color, berries ripening from green to blue, the white-green wateriness of cucumber, and dark forest foliage. The sharp nails on the beautiful hands of galbanum are the same as No. 19, tantalizing when they gently run up your spine but drawing skin and blood when applied with more pressure. In short order everything but the galbanum dispenses where a honeyed green note of narcissus takes a file to the galbanum’s nails and smoothes them out for us. The witch is getting a manicure that sets her up nicely for a woody green vetiver and musky base. Like either Sorceress, their personalities are compelling but shallow and hollow - the one criticism that can be levied against Green Spell is that it is so short lived and fleeting that it may be too much like a spell, too much like a flick of a wand wherefrom plasmatic light is cast and then fades into the ether - or perhaps like a breeze, since there are a lot of similarities to Balmain's Vent Vert. Maybe the lack of longevity is a creative decision, or just simply a lack of durability to any of the materials, or no singular driving force to put behind it couldn’t be identified and incorporated while keeping the theme. It’s unfortunate because you will certainly wish to be under its spell far longer than it takes hold of you, but for that short time the hex is mesmerizing.

Green Spell is an excellent fragrance for very specific occasions. It's 8:30 in the morning in the middle of summer. California 103°. I am currently in my summerween era. Sigh I hate to say that. My summerween enjoyment phase. Lol I'm sure you care all about that. This is perfect for mornings like this. It is fresh and green without being too much. It smells like you went into your backyard right after your sprinklers came on and you are smelling the tomato leaves and bushes surrounding it. Almost exactly like that. No other interpretation and no extra sweetness to build around it. It is simply a breath of fresh garden air. And of course a little bit spooky to go with it. That might be in my imagination, but I think it works. It smells like you are getting ready for the best season of the year. I'm simply prepping! Lol. That's it. It doesn't last very long, but I forgive it because it does its job. It puts me in the mood I want to be put in. I'm not looking to spend all day ruminating about this particular composition. This is my first and my only fragrance I have tried from ERIS. I am excited to try more. If anyone would like to send me samples of others in the collection I would greatly appreciate it! I’ve been fantasizing about the perfect green scent, something with the biting, vegetable freshness of crushed stems—not fruity or light, but sharp and bitter, like roots and earth. Eris’ Green Spell delivers with a blast of galbanum and hyper-realistic tomato-leaf that feels like the deepest part of an Henri Rousseau jungle painting: it makes you think of plant life in terms of blades and spears. In this dream of greenery, there’s no sunlight or even moonlight, just dense thickets of spiky, dewy foliage taller than you are. Mandarin and black currant are listed as top notes but the citrus and berry tartness seem don't feel front-loaded to me, they sneak in sideways, along with the nice addition of fig leaf, which warms up the mix a bit, though there’s also violet leaf cooling it back down. This is like an underworld version of Philosykos—a shadowy, almost poison green rather than the angelic airiness of the Diptyque one. People seem to complain about its longevity, but I haven’t found any super-green scent that lasts very long, so I think it just comes with the territory. This one dries down to a spicy, slightly musky and grassy vetiver that lasts for quite a while, though really just as a skin scent. I like this perfume a LOT.

Applies brisk bitter green on a warm cloud with dank vetiver adding weight. Tomato leaf up top with freshly zested mandarin orange. Fig leaf and black currant could soften and round out the mid, but they're blended pretty deep and not easy to pick out. More feel their impact. Ok...gentle black currant sweetness comes out late in the dry down as a pleasant accent - not cloying. On skin, green slips away pretty quick, but remaining notes still harmonize into a satisfying fresh countryside experience. On clothes/bedding, green projects stronger and longer - rain soaked watermelon rind with orange spice herbal tea. Rain evaporating in morning sunlight. Overall, uplifting without familiar/generic notes. The cozy nature vibes I crave. Short performance on skin could make a bottle debatable, but works well on fabric and is one of the best of the genre, I can't resist. 1ST REVIEW: Yes! Gorgeous damp garden, fresh cut grass, and tomato leaf/stems. Not fruity, but slightly tangy/sweetness of sun-soaked nature and bell peppers. Warm, comforting base of vetiver? Nothing to fault, except shallow projection/length. A normal amount wasn’t noticeable without touching nose to skin. Regardless, would love to own a full bottle.

I'm so sad about this perfume. I love every note in it, and upon application the fresh vegetal scent was exactly as I'd envisioned. It's a green, verdant wonderland. And then it disappears after thirty minutes. I figured I had just applied too sparingly, so I generously reapplied. Then when it still disappeared, I rubbed on an unscented lotion, thinking my skin must just be absorbing it due to dryness, and applied again. Nope, absolutely no difference. This is a glorious green riot that disappears entirely in under an hour, not even leaving a skin scent behind. If I press my nose directly to my wrist I can get a faint citrus/fig smell, but that's all. Edit: So this will surely make a purist cringe, but I mixed the final half of my sample with an equal amount of Molecule 01. Something about the Iso E Super seems to make the Green Spell stick around much longer. I don't know if it's worth buying both, but if you happen to already have them, give it a try.

Well.... Yet another perfume I thought I'd already reviewed but turns out I hadn't. I'm wearing it today because this week I sampled an Antoine Lie creation which I adored and thought back over some of his creations for fledgling, indy brands and Eris sprung to mind! Green Spell is fantastic!!!! I mean talk about electric green notes the galbanum evoking the vintage perfume Eris brand creator Barbara loves so much, clashing with the contemporary oddity of tomato leaf which is something I associate with those kinda new wave perfumers (about as outdated as new wave music) molecular maestros like Mark Buxton. Woody, musky drydown perfectly complements it. what I love about galganum is that it's a top, mid and base note and it remains permeated through this compostion in a clever way. Awesome stuff.

Wow, This was love at first sniff. I've already ordered a full bottle. I was afraid it would come on too strong, but it doesn't. It's very green, but it is not a challenging scent to wear. The tomato leaf is the stand out star in this. It stays green through it's entire time on my skin. I had ordered a sample of Erawan which is also lovely, but it goes into "vanilla land" and I wanted a fragrance to stay green to the end. This is destined to be a classic which other greens shall be judged against. I think Eris needs to do more green fragrances as they did this so well and beyond my expectations. Applause to Eris for bringing me spring time here in January. I anxiously await for my full bottle to arrive.

This is what I had hoped L' Ombre dans l' Eau would be sans the roses. It's cheerful, fresh, tart, vegetal, and smells like a photorealistic garden. I hate the black currant in L' Ombre, but in Green Spell it's used to successfully brighten up the other notes without any hint of a litter box. Reminds me quite a bit of the 1990s Vent Vert I tested at the same time. However, Green Spell is significantly airier & missing the sweet, slightly indolic floral aspect, which I'm not fond of anyway. Needless to say, I like this far better than that version of VV, particularly for hotter climates & summer. Update: Happily, sillage & strength of Green Spell are better than Vent Vert & it layers beautifully

Super-herby green aromatic. All the classic green notes are listed but what I pick up is the wonderful green muskiness of angelica root and the earthy green qualities of hedgerow plants like cow parsley. It's a beautiful combination of fig and tomato leaf accords, galbanum and orange bigarade over vetiver and cedar (not listed). Subtle use of ambroxan giving it a freshness in the nose, not unlike petrichor. At the 15 minute mark this is one of the most sublime, musky greens of all time. Calm and reflective, pastoral. After 45 minutes the greens have mostly evaporated and I'm left with a quiet but pleasant, woody musk skin-scent and a thin trace of angelica, almost elemi-like.

A beautiful addition to the green-fig genre that is uniquely blended with the cigarette-like qualities of galbanum. Other listed notes are tomato leaves, violet leaves, mandarin rind, and white musks. Very interesting and worth a sample even for owners of Debaser, Philosykos, or Alluring Fig by TK. My main complaint is that the longevity is very poor compared to Debaser or Alluring Fig. Probably comparable to Phylosykos EDT or EDP, in that the wear time is 1-2 hours.

This is what I always wanted Un Jardin Sur Le Nil to be on me~ It’s spring in a bottle! The open is full of intense, almost harsh tomato leaves. It smells vividly of fresh celery or like cracking the bristly-haired thick stems of tall weeds. Fig leaves and a light dewy narcissus slowly creep in. It dries down to photorealistic newly opened narcissus, vetiver and fresh wild plant stems.

I got my sample of this and cannot wait for the launch of the full-sized. This opens with a blast of fresh tomato leaf that settles into a bouquet of lush, green notes. This reminds me of going out into a garden after a little summer rain shower and everything is the most vivid shade of green - vibrant and alive.

I love this. So many green scents aren't green enough for me, this is. It smells like a handful of fresh, green leaves crushed up. It isn't going to be for everyone, but it you like green scents this is for you. Update: letting this sit in a dark cabinet for a while helped the performance issues a ton.

I love this green tomato scent, I will wear this forever and so excited to have such a crisp scent in my collection!! This is perfection!! So natural and light, yet there...I wish the sillage was a bit longer and airyer, but so lovely!! Kudos to the whole House!! Will never stop buying this scent!!

Green Spell opens with a verdant snap. Smells like breaking a plant stem in half and huffing the juices or rubbing a handful of fresh, wet leaves between your fingers and inhaling deeply. Absolutely gorgeous and photorealistic. I am an insect scaling a tomato vine while taking care to avoid drops of morning dew. All around me is lush, vibrant plantlife. In an instant, the green mirage disappears. The opening lasts about ~20-30 minutes on my skin, then transitions into a blooming narcissus flower enveloped in a gentle musk. I get whiffs of vetiver and a ghostly trace of galbanum's bitterness. The fragrance sits close to skin and feels very personal. The scent is only perceptible if I raise my arm to my nose. What a joy it would be if perfumes were able to hold on to the scents of greenery. Science just hasn't gotten there yet. I won't be able to justify purchasing Green Spell at retail price due to how quickly the magical opening fades and how faintly the lingering scent whispers. That being said, this one is definitely worth sampling.

Opens crisp, green, and fresh — like earthy tomato leaf, and dew on green leaves. Then it dries down into something softer and muskier. A green, slightly mossy scent; plush and almost a little minty. The opening is in a similar vein to Sisley Eau De Campagne , but even at its brightest and most crisp, it's still much more mild and plush than EDC's zesty green bite. It's falling asleep in the garden, sitting at the base of a mossy tree, with a book in your lap. As a lover of natural, green, herbaceous garden scents, the first couple minutes of Green Spell are right up my alley, but after that it becomes a little too soft, intimate, and short-lived for my taste.

A realistic tomato leaf in the first fifteen minutes, transitioning into a fresh violet and fig leaf scent. The opening is truly green heaven. I don’t pick up any florals or citrus, I’m sure it’s here but this is blended so well that I can’t isolate the notes. What’s most dominant in the dry down is ambroxan, and I right now I’m loving it but I can’t tell if after wearing it a few times if it would start to annoy me, as only ambroxan can do. My wish would be for the tomato leaf to reappear, but it’s pushed far back in the composition. A thumbs up, and I can tell my 1ml decant is not going to last long. I’d like to try more from this brand.

the opening is extremely vegetal, green vegetal, i thought it was bell pepper before looking up the notes, so i'm assuming it would be the tomato leaves, it's also going into bitter territories for me. there's a wet quality, like dewy green stuff, that i'm assuming is coming from the violet leaves. the dry down is still extremely tomato leafy, but there's this papery smell i get from the fig leaf which is extremely pleasant. this is different, it doesn't resemble anything else i own. i can imagine it'd be hard to wear, u gotta be in the mood to wear this, but it's really unique.

this is a literal green fragrance. green plants, not "perfumey" at all. this would be a nice gift for a gardener who works in an office but wants to be near their plants all day. as long as you don't over spray, the sillage is intimate so you won't offend anyone for spelling like a green tomato plant 😄 the first 10mins leans a little "masculine" but i consider all fragrance unisex in the same way all food is unisex. the dry down softens into a smooth, deep, rich woody fragrance that is mellow at the same time. Maybe it's the vetiver shining through.

It begins with a blast of galbanum then a duality of raw vegetation and emerald-like verdancy which is what appeals. An acerbic tomato leaf follows a metallic violet leaf. Fig leaf assuages some of the intensity of narcissus. It leads to a base of rich vetiver. At every turn, another source of green adding a new layer. At the end, a bit of ambroxan provides a woody frame for this green olfactory tapestry. I can totally imagine it being worn in the 50s and 60s when Vent Vert was the hit.

A holographic hyper-real tomato leaf, that sits close to the skin and dries down quickly to a clean, laundry soap musk (which about exactly matches my memory of Eau de Campagne). A bit forgettable in the ERIS line, and particularly let down by the overblown name and premise. I want to channel the venomous seductions of a forest witch if I’m wearing Green Spell - not the brief promise of snapped stems and crushed green leaves lining the path-way to domestic comfort.

Rich, aromatic tomato vine and cut leaf that quickly settles into a quieter but pleasant and well rounded, green tinged musk. Think the fuzz on the outside of the vine. The fig is fresh but creamy, contrasted with an effervescent violet leaf and citrus. All together dewy, refreshing and soft despite the thorny facets.

Tomato leaf, vetiver, your neighbor's freshly cut lawn on a hot July day. I can feel my toes inching into the turf. This is one of those fragrances that is meant entirely for the person who's wearing it. It's evocative for anyone who hasn't spent their life in a bubble. It's magical.

Green Spell feels more like Etat Libre d'Orange-style pop art green than witchy. It is fascinating, unique, and beautiful but i get synthetic rather than mother earth. For primordial, mystical greenness I would go with Dryad from Papillon or Ormonde Woman.

owned it and ultimately had to let this one go. everytime i wore it, it gave me negative attention. just know if you wear this out people are gonna think you smell a bit weird. some people are fine with that though! follow ur heart

It definitely smells like youve just pruned your tomato plant. Like just snip a tomato leaf and rub it on you and thats what it smells like. Its a nice scent but i wish it was a little sweeter. Not very wearable for me.

This perfume smells fantastic for the few minutes it lasts. Unbelievably realistic. I received a sample and am glad I didn’t make the purchase because I can literally only smell it for a few minutes.

It starts off with a bang. Very lush. If i close my eyes and reopen them, I am searching for the creatures I should see in dense foliage. Not bad. Wouldn't wear it. But, it is nice.

So this does, in fact, have the sharpest, greenest and most realistic tomato vine opening I’ve encountered... And I’ve tried many at this point. It also does, however, disappear within 20 minutes on my skin. I read through all of these reviews and hoped that everyone was just being harsh on the longevity and sillage... but it’s bad. I even sprayed twice on each wrist, at the elbow crease and behind each ear while getting ready... almost the entire sample. Couldn’t detect it at all by the time I left the house.

I loved this so much until the dry down. I couldn’t figure out what it reminded me of... the smell was so, so familiar. And then it hit me. It smells *exactly* like those scented dog poop bags, the green ones. I used to be a dog walker years ago, and I can’t stand the smell of those scented bags. I can’t believe how similarly Green Spell smells once it dries down. Huge bummer! I still love the opening and middle though, but the dry down is absolutely not for me.

One of those greenhouse like fragrances that is very nice but more suited to a room fragrance than a perfume imho. Joop's What About Adam for example did this sort of fragrance years ago and better imho.

The freshest, most naturalist, tomato leaf fragrance I’ve ever encountered. It’s so fragile like nature itself, but it also fades away after an hour.

Avada Kedavra!!! No, but seriously, that’s the first thing pop into mind when I saw the name. I love green, and always want a multi-facets green perfume, this one fits my expectations. Scent Description A few seconds of moist green grass , then the juicy tomato leaf comes out, this sour green scent makes my mouth water. However, the "sourness" stands out, so sour that it seemed to have a independent life, gradually transforming into an “astringent” / "puckery", tart black currants . Before I scrub it off, a playful sweetness, smell like smooth green apple skin toned down the tartness, which fades into the background. A slightly sweet fig leaves come to the forefront, seemingly edged with a bit of silver lining of spearmint. However, all of this happened within two minutes. That is to say, before you finish reading this review, all the above greenery has collapsed and ended up on a green bell pepper base

Discrete, polite and modern floral green scent. The scent opens with notes of galbanum, fig and tomato leaf and black currant. The heart is violet leaf with slight hints of orange and narcissus. The perfume settles on a powdery ambroxan and synthetic musk base with slight vetiver. The well constructed but slight unisex scent has moderate sillage and longevity. It is a bit too fleeting to make a real impact. Enjoy!

Before I came to look at the notes, you could not convince me this wasn’t 100% celery juice. It should have its own accord. Whole Foods Produce section. I assume (now) that what I was smelling was tomato leaf. It’s definitely different but I don’t know why anyone would want to smell like this.

Lasted literally 15 minutes on me, which is odd because the other Eris scents I own last like 10-12 hours. I'm not a "green" fragrance person, but I got the discovery set so I figured I'd give this a try. I think I just need to accept that I don't want to smell like crushed leaves and stems!

So, this spell is all green and to be able to conjure up images of spring during Xmas, well Mr. Antoine Lie and Ms. Barbara Herman worked really some kind of magic. I think it would be useful to look at the declared notes: Italian Mandarin, French Black Currant Bud absolute (Bourgeons Cassis), Iranian Galbanum (oil and resinoid), Egyptian Violet Leaf absolute, French Narcissus absolute, Tomato leaf accord, Fig leaf accord, Haitian Vetiver, Ambroxan, Musk (synthetic) The composition runs on the greennest of notes: galbanum, but magistrally softened by a very real tomato leaf accord. Anyone familair with Vent Vert -Germaine Cellier's version, 1947 - will recognize an overlapping of tricks: the airy violet leaf, the leathery narcissus and jonquilles and the zesty orangine opening. But in my opinion, the end result is much more similar to 1999 @nathaliefeisthauer's version, even if there were no tomato leaf in it. The musky drydown is a nice complements to the scent itself. I am wondering wheather tomato leaf is a challenging note today. Long are gone the epoque of Annick Goutal's Folavril, or the more recent Miller Harris's Cassis en feuille and, case in point, Vente Verte.... I have to thank Eris Parfums because with a touch of zesty modernity, he took me back in time, a time when perfumes was (almost) art, and not pure consumerism. Follow me on IG @alexolympia6

This is a bit of a disappointment mostly because I’ve fallen prey to the marketing of this fragrance and the reputation of the founder. Green Spell made me think of something really captivating, spellbinding, something that would stain my shirt or prick my skin. This is none of that. Antoine Lie describes this as sparkling and joyful. Nothing about this sparkles and though joyful, this is a calm smile. This opens, as promised, with beautiful greenness, one that is not a big departure from very popular fig-based perfumes like Philosykos, Premier Figuier, Debaser, Ichnusa and Jardins de Kerylos, to name a few. Yeah, I mostly smell the greenness of fig here almost without that coconut-y creamy feel. It eventually dries down to a subtle sweet (but a little too sweet for me) woody musk. Green Spell is quite nice! My expectations were just so off. This is pale shades of green. I was hoping for a bolder, much greener fragrance.

"Green Spell" is the one (and mostly the photo of that hand with long green nails) was the reason for me to revisit this brand again since 2016. Fig salty green fruity blend.. I can't determine if the tomato leaf is there! & i believe it's because of the fig leaf mixed with the orange, & the black current! I do get huge doses of galbanum, & bits of musk, some violet leaves, & definitely aldehyde. Green spell is quite pretty and i do sense fresh grass, with water dew vibes in here & the impression of bright green freshness embedded within while those nails speaks dark, witchery, and kind of mysterious and obviously it's not in "Green Spell" DNA. "Green Spell" is for those who enjoys the freshness of the wild, grassy cuts, bright sunny days in the fields. Beautiful.

Green Spell from Eris Parfums is as if a celestial being of 100% chlorophyll descended from the heavens, its wings a crushing flutter of many leaves, broad and flat, delicate and curled, waxen, rubbery, pliant, radiating every variation of veridian. In a voice like seeping moss, like eroding rock, like insect wings disintegrating into the earth, it whispers to you, "Like, be not afraid, or whatever." It's the endless trailing succulent stem of a bittersweet pennywort patch through the soil until you reach a darkly massive gnashing malachite rootball nightmare. You awake with emerald scratchings on your palm and jade lashings of fern in your teeth.

Big, beautiful, sharp tomato leaf jumps out of the gate at the start, and then this transforms into a pleasant but somewhat formless "green thing." I can recognize the fig leaf and galbanum as well--the latter being not overdone in a good way, since galbanum can certainly pierce. When the scent gets to its core, I don't get a real defined, floral heart, which is maybe what I'm missing most in this scent. If there is narcissus, it gets lost for me. The opening salvo of tomato leaf is super compelling, I just wish there was a follow up to it. Corsica Furiosa opens with a similar bite but settles onto a persistent and interesting green base.

Green Spell. What a fantastic tomato leaf fragrance. Instant transport to a garden in summer, ...or some other bucolically laidback setting. A sense of warm sun on skin and damp soil pervades memory. The complexity of tomato leaf is already a complete perfume on its own, ...but there is even more. Where tomato's leaves finally stop, vetiver's roots begin, ....and possibly even an unlisted suggestion of cannabis. Galbanum and cassis emphasize this green world, while a hint of fig accord soothes with sweet sap. Right now in early February, this is what I least expected, ...and most needed. Thank you.

I agree with "fascinating, unique, and beautiful." This was the most nature-inspired scent I've ever tried. However, for me, it would have to be sprayed every half hour to get the joy from this lovely scent. But I know longevity seems to be different on everyone, so if you want to get out in nature by just sniffing your skin, then try it. Side note: If you are old enough to remember Herbal Essence shampoo, this gave me a burst of nostalgia for that fragrance. If I could smell that this many years later, who knows if they would be as similar as I think they are, but the vibe is the same.

As a lover of green fragrances, I was so excited to try the sample of Green Spell I had purchased from luckyscent. When on a mild Autumn day I applied 1/2 of my 0.7ml sample vial to my wrists, all I was able to detect was a soft whisper of my beloved Chanel No. 19 EDT. It faded away in less than an hour. Perhaps I'm anosmic to some of the accords in this fragrance. Or perhaps it is simply a very light fragrance. I was hoping for realistic greens with some personality, a touch of floral, and a little mystery!
