Mother's Milk

I believe this to be the best lactonic scent on the market to date. This is comfort in a bottle. Most of the lactonic scents out there either go sour on my skin or are very cloying and/or way too sticky sweet, but not this one. This is beautifully soft, with a slight sweetness from the vanilla. I get the rose, but it is very faint. The orris combined with the milk makes this buttery soft and beautifully rounded. If you’re looking for a soft, comforting milk scent this just might be what you’ve been looking for! I’m thrilled to have added it to my collection💕

I have to agree that it is soft and feminine and nostalgic somehow. Well blended, ethereal and comforting. I don't feel the gourmand nuance in this fragrance, perhaps just enough to keep it balanced. I keep sniffing my wrist. It does feel more like a skin scent with soft projection and longevity. ♡ Beautiful samples available at Nectar Atelier.

the opening is sweet and fruity like strawberry milkshake but to my surprise I see no red fruits listed in the notes. It is a cosy milky scent with a hint of sweet rose that I can actually get on board with, (I'm very picky with rose perfumes.) Very soft, feminine and beautiful. Will sample further to see if it changes from a like to a love.

This is a subtly complex milk scent that lasts all day. The rose takes a back seat and makes occasional appearances, but the milk and cinnamon is most prominent on my skin. I still detect a flower but the gourmand aspect of this is the main focus. Amazing. Powdery and sweet but not cloying. Reminds me of Fresh Cream by Philosophy.

Very powerful and interesting. I don’t get a lot of rose but more deep tuberose note. I have tried and knew it. This is the scent (with a softer floral note - the rose over the tuberose) I got when I layered Sandal Ruby with Blanche Bête. A little less sweet than BB. But the effect is close. It’s cosy, but for me, super intense. Not quiet or unassuming. Less creamy and lactonic than BB and has that airy mid with the powdered edges. One for the cold I think and worn lightly when in crowds or small rooms. If you have both fragrances try that layering combo and see what you think. Update- the deep dry down is soft, comforting and very softly rosey. When the dry down becomes skin scent I honestly pickup a delicious roasted black plum note - complete with toffeed aspects just like you’d get from the caramelised fructose and skin.
