Italian Bergamot Eau de Parfum

Excellent, elegant and refined summer scent. Generally speaking, this is slightly bitter, serious, I might say, citrus scent with a soft, earthly base. The scents of bergamot as well as neroli are prominent, complemented by a mossy/soapy base. As a whole, I would call this as a mature, muted, citrus scent with a soft hint. With respect to performance, as already said by SocialAssasin, the scent is linear. After some 15 minutes or less, the scent settles and remains fairly constant until it fades. As for longevity, on my skin, I get very respectable 6-8 hours. Although not at the class of some longest lasting winter scents, for example Amouage’s Black Iris or Armani’s Myrrhe Imperiale, for a summer scent, the longevity is very good. When compared to some better known summer scents, Chanel’s Pour Monsieur is slightly more aromatic while fresh citrus is stronger, than this. In addition, Chanel lacks the soft base of Zegna’s Italian Bergamot EdP. Furthermore, Chanel’s longevity on my skin is nowhere near this. However, I would say that Italian Bergamot and Chanel’s Pour Monsieur are at the very least cousins, if not brothers. Then, again, for those preferring more prominent pure citrus, Armani’s Acqua di Gio or Boucheron’s Pour Homme might be better choices, although for me, both of those, although good as such, are a little bit “too sunny” scents and lack elegance when compared to Italian Bergamot EdP. Finally, Tom Ford’s Costa Azzurra Acqua has some close characteristics when compared to this, although with CAA general freshness and citrus are more prominent and as a whole, is simply not as elegant than this. In conclusion, absolute elegance is where Zegna's Italian Bergamot EdP excels. As for usage, I would say that this is a perfect, elegant and non-offensive summer scent for office. Perfect to pair with a navy blue summer suit, a crisp white shirt and a tie. Maybe, with chinos and polo. For jeans and T-shirt, I would look for other offerings, this is too formal for such combination. The same holds true for night club use, where you may want to attract attention, this is a bit too tame/formal for clubbing. Furthermore, I am quite sure, that those under 30 years of age may not appreciate refiness of this scent.

Ahh finally!! Have been looking for exactly this for a while now! (Scent profile) I do also like Neroli Portofino Forte too, yet to buy a bottle if I ever do. . . Others I have tried in this genre just have not hit the mark for me. This is just what I've been wanting, citrus with a dash of neroli, backed up with some slight pepper & vetiver. No powdery notes with it, just right. My only gripe is performance isn't the best and it is very hard to find in New Zealand. 9/10 for me losing half a point for each point above but I'll add a point back on the rarity because that is truly what it is for me. Feels pure, clean, classy and balanced. Just right. Big love here ❤️ 💙 💜 If anyone has suggestions for others very similar to this that are available please let me know, I'll cherish this bottle!

I got this version compared to the EDT previous version - More versatile than EDT as it is more creamy and soapy. - Greater longevity than EDT but less projection. - Smoother and richer scent than EDT. - EDT is classier as it is sharper and bolder kinda scent. You gotta have some charisma to pull the EDT off. Personally I still like the previous version more as it is classier and bolder scent but this current version is indeed one of the most versatile soapy citrus fragrance out there. Very clean like a bar of white citrus soap.

Elegance. That's what comes to mind whenever I wear Italian Bergamot. It's linear but refined, chic, and versatile. A wonderful blend of bergamot, neroli, moss, and woods on a creamy base reminiscent of bergamot scented shaving cream.

It’s really incredible in these kind of scents it’s always risky especially when neroli is involved I hate neroli dominant scents but this one managed to tone down the neroli to my liking Aromatic and citrusy A great choice for a more warmer weather With good longevity you can’t go wrong with it Yes it’s overpriced but if you like this kind of scent the quality here will win you over

If you’re a fan of classic masculines with a fresh and soapy profile this is for you. Not my style but a well made addition to this genre of fragrance

I have smelt this version and the original 2012 version and unfortunately the 2012 version is much better to my nose. I prefer the fresher, more citrusy and versatile/everyday wear smell of the original. The tonka and pepper that they added to this version completely ruins the scent for me

This is a much smoother Acqua di Parma Essenza and a richer Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford. It combines those two beautifully. Very classy and inviting. I like this a lot.
