Musk Gold

This one is very strong, the opening is a blast of musky Patchouli, they have captured an animalic musk accord very well, when I first smelled this as a sample in a department store I initially thought "god that stinks!" but then I kept getting drawn to the sample and smelling it again and again. this will be a polarising fragrance and definetly not for everyone or for every occasion but you are seeking something that oozes machismo, then this is it. Imagine a classy version of "sex panther" from the film "Anchorman" and I mean that in a good way, imagine a hairy chested and virile brute drinking Cognac on the rocks in a Mediterranean bar late at night, and for me that captures the essence of this fragrance. Longevity 10/10 - this is one of the longest lasting frags ive worn Silage 9/10 - as you walk around you will be leaving trails of this stuff, so use it sparingly

I agree with Victor Lahovary’s assessment. I get mostly cognac, smoke, leather, tobacco and myrrh. There may be a tiny bit of castoreum or civet to give the name some justice, but other than that, the scent is mostly incense, leather, tobacco, and cognac. Other notes, I detect are ambrette, pepper, cedar, labdanum, and patchouli. Vague similarities to Peruvian Ambrette, and this is actually much closer to Tobacco Oud Intense but with a cleaner and airier vibe due to its EdT concentration. I love this scent, I wish it was creamier, an EdP would have made it even better. Either way, this is gorgeous masculine stuff that has now replaced Laudano Nero, which got too sweet for my taste.

Lucked out and found all 3 gold line at a pretty well known online discounter about a year ago. Finally getting round to reviewing... Way way better than I expected, I think this is probably my favourite from the gold line by a hair. Reviewer below me nails the notes, a cognac feel is very noticeable from start to finish with some underbelly of spice and earthiness. Very masculine and the most niche one out of the line. Some would struggle to wear this, much like many struggle to wear Tobacco Oud which it has some echoes of. I know this is hard to find but if you see it and you enjoy Amouage Overture (quite a lot similarities there), Tobacco Oud, Creation-E and other such darker masculine fragrances I think you would like this too.

I can normally find something I like in just about every perfume I try. Some I would never wear, but can still appreciate the intent. This however is just plain vile to me. To be fair, I'm not sure what original deer musk should smell like, so perhaps they have done a faithful job in interpreting it. For me all I got was a salty, rancid butter smell. I cannot imagine wearing this, it would make me feel sick.
