XXX Verdigris

I easily like Verdigris over the others in the triple stitch collection. Heavy aldehydes with a fresh woody dry down, it doesn’t remind me much of GIT except for the green spicy ending, this is much more frozen aquatic in my opinion than GIT. If I were to compare it to any creed I would say SMW Is much more closer in comparison after wearing them both side by side. Not saying it’s a clone of either just the closest in reference. I actually really like the composition behind this freshy. You can understand why they have ice listed in the notes as this doesn’t come off as a blue but a frozen green if that makes sense. For those those who say it’s not for office... DON’T LIE this is one of my most complimented fragrances that I wear for work and I WORK IN A OFFICE SPACE WITH ALL WOMEN WHO LOVES IT WHEN I WEAR THIS!! Tons of compliments! It has moderate to long on longevity and sillage, but if your a heavy sprayer your gonna smell it all day, and it last longer On garments than on skin. I’ve noticed some wool coats hold the smell very long for days and days. It’s so clean and fresh it will make you want to wear again if you come across something that still holds the scent. I can’t really see how you can’t like this cologne. Very well done zegna! Rated: 8/10 Longevity: 7/10 Sillage: 8/10 Worth a buy if your into fresh green fragrances!

I'm very glad having a bottle of this, I got one for a very good price, the regular price being a bit overpriced for me. This is a really interesting juice and a nice experience, there is a strong duality in this fragrance, between Hot and Cold, warm and fresh, mettalic and herbal, it is a bit everything and its opposite at the same time. This is the best of the line, the other 2 are more forgettable and less interesting. I get a lot of Thyme, Aldehydes, Metallic Notes and Musks. I wish I got the Ice note more. All the notes are blended very well. This gives me some "Comme Des Garçons" vibe, this really smells like something they could launch. I see also the comparison with Ganymede and I kind of agree, it's not the same at all but they could be placed in the same family. It is, like Ganymede, a cold/mineral/metallic juice with a really modern/futuristic vibe. This is a great 4 seasons scent, this would be interesting to see how it does in extreme heat or cold, because I think the notes would interreact differently, and make the scent quite different through every climate.

Received this in a Bloomingdale's "little freebies box." It's really very nice and deserves more than the current 3.81 perfume rating; maybe 4.1+. I get a truly unique spicy-fresh-aquatic with a strong peppery note. Performance is very good. UPDATE: The more I use this, the more I like it, very much. I went on a pepper-forward fragrance jag a few years ago and tried MANY brands: Blackpepper, Spicebomb, Re-Charge Black Pepper, Poivre Electrique, F, and others. XXX Verdigris is superior to all of them, IMO. This note blend just works so very well. The price, though. 🙄

Glad Zegna has released something strange and unique these days. Apart from the annoying tendency of sweet aquatic Gatorade scents. To me it’s like a fresh take on Gucci guilty Absolute . Long lasting but a little intimate on projection.

Suggestions say it Smells like green irish tweed😅its like comparing orange to a burger. They have zero similarities. But i love zegna verdigris very much🖤its unique

It resembles Green Irish Tweed, but with a modern edge to it. It's mostly violet leaf with metallic and mineral nuances along with an elegant cooling effect of ice, mint, and thyme. The scent comes off as quite artificial, but I suspect synthetics was the overall theme to Zegna's triple stitch line. Cyprium and Charcoal follow a similar approach with a concoction of molecules, aromachemicals, and synthetics -- giving the overall impressions of copper, minerals, and graphite. Verdigris is not a bad scent per se, but I expected more from Zegna.

I get fresh violet leaf, thyme, spices and a lot of artemisia and mint. The base is mostly composed of soapy musks. Performance is modest on my skin. Definitely not holding up to its full retail price level, but should it be available for a third of its price tag at discounters at some point, some might see in this one the perfect clean versatile office scent.

A fresh an calm fragrance. Green, a little spicy and good for summer. I bought it for 30 bucks. A good buy for me.

A pretty unique take on an aquatic. And for its unapologetic boldness, I’m kinda feeling it.

I wrote a review on Charcoal on this series which I bought also on special with some gifts so it was a blind spontaneous plunge. I solely relied on the marketing and a bit of faith on this as there were no reviews. Anyway... these three are under whelming for the price. This one somehow despite the fantastic note table listed really is just a light sweet green and grassy scent over a weird metallic dark amber - not far off Charcoal in the base drydown - though I get some of the violet in the longer drydown. The performance in silage and longevity is also quite poor. If I didn’t have the freebies and the discount I’d return it. Not full bottle worthy, at their normal asking price, however it’s fair to say I’m spoilt for perfumes and I rarely buy commercial brands. I think you’d have to be a die hard EZ fan to appreciate them. Pure marketing spin.

the opening is actually very good. cold, metallic, and there is something eerie about it. at first it seemed a bit like a classic masculine freshie but i can tell there’s something more to it. a bit CDG almost? the drydown unfortunately is not as good, since it shifts into a quite generic ambroxan type base.

Lo compré por U$40. Un asco. Me dieron ganas de vomitar. Quizás mi nariz no es tan sofisticada como para entenderla o apreciarla, pero nunca me había pasado algo así. Por lo general las fragrancias suelen ser aceptables. Hay algunas que gustan más, otras que gustan menos, otras que solamente usarías en ciertas ocasiones, etcétera. Esta fragrancia no la usaría NUNCA EN MI VIDA. Es espantosa. Me tuvo toda la mañana y la tarde sofocando. ESTA REVIEW VALE TANTO PARA VERDIGRIS COMO PARA CYPRIUM.

Disclaimer: This is another one of those perfumes that i was confident about what it is, then comes Fragrantica and says im wrong. I’ll describe what i personally smell so treat it accordingly because im dying on this hill haha. Verdigris to me comes across as a Frankenstein mix between Ombre Leather and Irish Leather from Memo. Ombre Leather is one of those that perfectly walks the fine line between niche and mainstream, a different type of perfume from the usual masculine perfume families yet still constructed with a safe aproach in mind. Having said that, i feel like i’ve “decoded” the DNA in my brain. Analysed it, catalogued it, archived it. Perhaps because i no longer feel the need to “read more material” on this type of leather scents, the very first whiff of Verdigris that hit my nose made me say “Oh, you again?” with a bit of a negative intonation. With Verdigris, i’d like to imagine that the brief was to recreate Ombre Leather without using the ingredients and notes used in the Tom Ford, hence why i called it a Frankenstein version. Ombre Leather has a touch of a floral/sweetish ambery background whilst Verdigris replaces that with a woody and mossy green undertone. These facets are the ones that push the scent towards the Irish Leather DNA aswell. Im not sure if its some spice that does it but the scent darkens in the long drydown, gaining an almost mushroomy facet. All of this makes Verdigris a bit more niche and also more suited to my taste. It still doesn’t topple Memo Irish Leather off my personal leather throne because that one fully embraces the green woody herbal side. As i mentioned earlier, scentwise it takes baby steps towards that direction tho. (An interesting side note, in the reminds me section someone compared Verdigris to Ambergris Showers which is actually inspired by Irish Leather so i might not be the only one) The scent seems to be tenacious, im picking up traces of the scent off my hand the next morning after i sprayed it in the evening. If you like the Ombre Leather DNA but feel like exploring a different, more peculiar variation on it, Verdigris might very well be what you are looking for.

I get a huge cardamon hit off if this scent. Makes it vibrant and distinctive and works to creat quite a dynamic fragrance. Got to be the right mood for it though. Not for mornings. Not for the office, (nor church temple or ashram). If you're a grown up. If you're horney. If you're looking to stand out. Well worth a sample. (Two women I work with separately told me this scent resembles Fahrenheit) Edit: Air temps now in 20's and this scent blooms. The multiple elements combine to project even more confidently and playfully. This is now my Saturday night fragrance.

Smells like a Fahrenheit with less violet/florals and it’s actually a little cold. Now I see the ice note and makes sense. Doesn’t smell like Ganymede at all. The drydown is the typical amberwood of the designer world, not very well done.

This perfume just smell like designer Fragrance zero percent niche quality.I didn’t get any green Irish tweed vibe by creed .it’s not worth to buy .
