Z Zegna Extreme

When I first tried it in an airport duty free shop, I thought the opening was horrid! I don't think I can repeat my exact words to the sales assistant that sprayed it on me!! But I bought a 50ml bottle within a few minutes. Why? Because the dry down was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I didn't know much about scents back then, but the patchouli, cashmere wood and vetiver base just made me think this was the most masculine scent that I had ever smelled. I kept going back to my hand all through that flight and I did not regret getting a bottle. The opening really was harsh - it reminded me of Joop PH to some extent. I could just about make out a rose note in there, but otherwise there's a very metallic vibe to the opening. The bottle was awesome too. The silver/metallic bottle combined with the rubber edge was just very cool and sporty. The negative side about this review? Well, can't you see it's written in past tense? Sadly, this gem of a fragrance is no more. It's in the fragrant history books now. What a shame. Would have bought a lorry full if I'd known...

Once you smell the icy rose notes from that bottle, you are sold to that olfactory beauty. Metal and frozen wood notes surround a clear and crisp rose smell to create a modern yet romantic male blend. Unfortunately, this amazing perfume can be found available only occasionally in limited quantities at exclusive stores worldwide. I found it at a Zegna store in an airport department store but the price was out of my league... Then only a couple days ago, I discovered a few bottles offered at an unbelievable price at Fragrancex.com I am sharing the news with the few who can appreciate this enchanting perfume. So, stock up before it's gone forever! My overall rating: 8.5/10

Well, its a beauty. Is it a $175 beauty (thats what 3.4 oz bottles on Ebay can go for),hhmmmmn...no..maybe not that much. Rose, gin, and Vetiver. Got lucky and won a 10ml travel spray on Ebay for a fair $20. The vetiver gets stronger as the fragrance develops and it reaches a point where, at least to me, it smells very much like Voyage D'Hermes with Rose. Wonderful, Fresh and MAsculine. Loses the rose note when the White Musk comes into the drydown about 90 minutes into progression and loses most of its charm. Update: Gorgeous for around 90 minutes. Then just musk, as I said earlier, but that opening is worth the trouble of reapplying.

Really great. Refreshing, boozy opening with a great metallic rose note. Drydown becomes fresh- spicy and woody, with just the right amount of powdery touch. Not extreme to my nose. Very pleasant, unique and full of character and style. This is the best from Zegna, a hidden pearl, very underrated. Zegna fragrances have switched from YSL beaute to Estee Laudeer and rumour is that Zegna Extreme will be discontinued. I hope not. Sillage is average. Longevity yes could be better but not terrible. Around 4-5 hours. I highly recommend Zegna Z Extreme.

Here's another fragrance I used to own a handful of years ago. It was pleasant, sweet and a tad woody. It works great for the hot weather but it's a bit simple in my eyes. I liked it but I had to overspray like a maniac just to get any kind of sillage where I felt comfortable that others would smell it off me. If only the fragrance was more potent it would be perfect.

One of the finest fragrance i ever had. Simply incompareable to another scent, though so many others but this juice is just the best. It is long lasting, when you wear it you feel extremely confident because you know there will be people around you on a busy day but your scent just stands out. I feel that good cologne from Zegna should be like this, i would give 9/10

Sprayed on a tissue, this eventually morphs into a unisex fragrance. I thought this unwearable in the summer after buying blind, but now it's like unwrapping a surprise gift that lifts your spirits. It is a "broken mold" scent; really special and inspiring. Moisture/humidity must change the chemistry.

Woody vetiver rose, Excellent fragrance. Very pleasant can be daily worn. Can be used in office/semi formal. Gorgeous dry down. Cashmere wood and vetiver with hint of rose Long lasting and impressive silage. You will get noticed. Longevity: 9/10 Silage: 9.5/10 Scent: 8/10

I wore this to the movies tonight and oh boy did I overspray. Overcompensating for what I remembered being average projection but this was beasting on me for about 2 hours. I was really embarassed. Oh well, its not a capitol crime, it happens. It did smell beautiful.

How can I describe this fragrance in words ! It's unique , but doesn't last for more than 2 hours .

Best of the Zegna's of all I've tried. Not so woody, not so musky. Just perfect! It deserves 10/10

Z Zegna Extreme is an aromatic, slightly spicy and woody fragrance. Its opening immediately reminded me of the classic Z Zegna DNA, but with nuances that make it different. To begin with, this Extreme version handles the citrus in a different way, in this version they are not sparkling, but rather diffuse, that is, they are still fresh, but there is a gin accord that is above the citrus. After a few minutes you can perceive the note of rose that gives it a very masculine aromatic character, a bit similar to what Gucci does in Guilty Eau de Parfum. This aromatic accord remains until the final phase of the fragrance, along with a base of cashmere wood and vetiver. With me it stayed very well for more than 8 hours. and a regular and noticeable sillage. This version of Zegna is a mid-season fragrance, spring and autumn, a shame that it can no longer be obtained, because the aroma is quite pleasant.

One of my favorites. Very spicy, sophisticated, I would recommend it for suit and tie events. At first the longevity seemed bad, but it's reasonable. Could be better though. 4/5 from me (.5 points off for lack of longevity)

Z Zegna Extreme is a good freg suitable for the winter ( in my opinion all day long ) , safe one & non offencive beside the bottle design is really good .

i wrote here since five years ago for this perfume and now after these years i can say im in love with this perfume.

The chrome/rubber bottle is out of this world and perfectly reflects the juice inside. ZZE contains some weird icy-metallic notes that make the scent appear very cold and uninviting to my nose. There is a lot going on here, but I have never found out exactly what. It might be the gin note - something seems strangely out of place and makes it impossible for me to become friends with this fragrance. Too bad, since the bottle looked fabulous on my shelf.

To me this cologne is a close blend between Amouage Epic Man and Chanel Allure Edition Blanche...It has the icy, cool incense of Epic Man, and the lemony vetiver of Edition Blanche. Although the incense here is toned way down from that of Epic Man. It's an interesting scent. I like it. I can't see your average cologne wearer liking this one at all. This scent requires a more refined nose to appreciate it. It seems to last fairly long, but does not project far at all. I can't see this cologne getting much attention or many compliments. I would part ways with my 1.7oz bottle, for the right price.

Rose is very seldom used in men's scent nowadays. This scent from Zegna is a very good scent with an almost perfect blend of rose. The beautiful flower scent stays throughout the juice's life. Initial blast of citrus, then after 2-3 minutes, the rose comes on, together with an alcohol vibe, which turns into a soft cloud of patchouli, musk and the merest hint of vetiver. Get this scent wherever you can, when you can. Hell, you can even blind buy it and not feel any regret.6 to 7 hours on my skin. 9/10

It's pleasant and unique. Woody and spicy. Opens with a blast of bitter citrus ... joined by the roses mixed with gin ... then very fast dries down to patchouli, white musk and vetiver. The projection ... strong ... for a few hours at least and then becomes one with the skin. The dry down ... great. The presentation ... amazing. An excellent fragrance ... the best of Zegna!

Here's a serious one. Stern and sophisticated. Categorized as "woody-spicy." A little old-school, a little modern. I'm lovin the touch of cashmere wood. A travel spray may be convenient, because then you can carry it with you and re-apply as needed. The lasting power and performance are questionable.
