Brisa Cubana

Lime is the star of the show! This is not just simply squeezed lime, it is lime with the peel. I have never tried mojito so I was unsure of what to except. This is very sweet too and I am guessing that's the mojito, it smells like a sweet and sour cocktail. Escada does sweet and sour very very well. I am on my second 100ml bottle of this and I think I will be going for a third or fourth bottle. It is absolutely mouth watering and especially the opening is to die for. It's very fresh, sweet and sour. It is so juicy and perfect for citrus lovers like myself. This is my favourite of the six Escada limited edition fragrances in my collection. I have Sorbetto Rosso, Santorini Sunrise, Brisa Cubana, Agua Del Sol (my previous favourite but my bottle has expired and it is a shadow of it's former self), Chiffon Sorbet and Nectar De Costa Rica.. Brisa cubana is easily my favourite although it is not the best performer out of them. My second favourite is Agua Del Sol. I cannot wait to buy last year's "Bali Paradise" and this year's "Yum Me, Sunny" to add to my collection. My only complaint with Brisa Cubana is the longevity, it lasts around an hour if that. That might be because I have been wearing it in winter. It lasts longer if you are heating up and working up a sweat. It even seems to smell sweeter the hotter one feels. It is designed for high heat and made for summer. I cannot wait to wear it in the summer.

Tried this today and it was an instant love! I bought it right away bc it was on sale, and it was super delicious! Before trying, i was thinking why not make the bottle greenish or whatever, with such green notes, but I do get the colour fits the smell more than the notes showed. This is fresh juicy sweet fruity! I dont get the mojito vibe, but I do however get a drink vibe of it. It remind me a lot of a drink i dont know the name of, that i was served at a time. It was sooo good smelling it as I loved the drink! (I dont like mojito though lol!) I have no idea what it smells like, its quite an unfamiliar smell for me. But I wanna say its a rather safe blid buy for summer escada lovers! Its yummy, summery, fruity and even though its cold winter here now, I cant imagine this being cloying during summer but rather refreshing actually :) as usual, the sillage and longevity is not much to brag about, but thats kinda how it is with these summer editions i think, treat them as mists :) (if someone tried this and get same drink vibe as me, and know the drink name, ill be very happy!) :D

I'm inept with discerning notes in a fragrance except for detecting citrus in this without going too sour or screechy. I can say that this is light, fresh yet sweetly alluring and distinctive... A winner. Despite the rating of this here by the others, on me, it has a moderate to strong lasting power of 10+ hrs. Also a good projection as I can detect a whiff on me here and there. Hence in my opinion the performance is even superior to some Eau De Parfum. I don't know how it does this, but many hrs later, the crisp zinginess fades into something sweet while retaining the memory of initial freshness... and a wee bit powdery. I can not say it must be a Mariposa lily, since I never smelled that flower. ETA: I still can smell it on me a day later. Also, the test paper still has it, which has been a day short of a week since I dubbed it in the chemist - now that is eternal!

So, second review after wearing it some more. Initial smell is mouthwatering raspberry lemonade. I also could guess red current in there as well to my nose. As it settle it turn a little bit on the green side. I dont really detect it as minty, but more in a juicy grass-like freshness (not to become cloying, like a tiny hint of it, not much green at all!) Although I dont smell directly those notes, I wouldnt be surprised if orange and peach was part of the juice either. But mainly, a freshly made raspberry lemonade is closest to my nose of what this smell like on me :) i might be totally mistaken. Compared to notes shown, I think I am lol! Please try and share your thoughts! :) I think its juicy refreshing, cant wait to try in summer heat

I have this lovely gem, and as much as I LOVE the smell-it comes off like a body spray rather than an EDT. This is so beautiful, it’s light and airy fruity and sweet all at the same time it’s very much the seasonal escada perfumes it just projects as a body mist from bath and body works rather than my fresh perfumes I’ve come to love from the summer releases. It’s so bad that if I hadn’t gotten it free I would take it back, spray it and it’s gone. I normally spray my blankets with a perfume to smell when I cuddle up (I hope I’m not the only one who does this lol) and you can’t smell it immediately after, it’s actually so frustrating because it’s beautiful! Don’t spend the 92 dollars they are asking, wait for it to be cheaper!

I don’t agree with the comments under me, this perfume smells nothing like lime or mint. It smells insanely dreamy - that’s the only way I can describe it, also it’s very very addicting. Reminds me of a Spanish vacation. I think the package design totally visualizes the scent. You should definitely try it on your skin first, bc this smells different on everyone. I don’t like flower and orange scents but something about this hits very different. Only downside is that it barely lasts, but the amazing smell makes up for it.

I bought this as a blind buy as it was on clearance and I'm so happy I did! I dont really get any of the listed notes but I do get a gentle, tropical citrus. There's a light floral in the background and its very subtle but does enhance the fragrance very nicely. For me, this feels like a skin scent I'd wear on a beach day.

This was LOVE at first sniff! It's so airy, fluffy and fruity, and, it also reminds me of my most beloved Hippie Ibiza, and, l agree with your positive comments, and descriptions, and, l will most defently hoarder MANY bottles of this HAPPY juice!

I accidentally sprayed it on the same wrist after Narciso Rodriguez for Her Forever and it was a love at first sight 😍 The result is absolutely beautiful. Should you have access to both, give the mixture a try.

I love it; sour, tart, bitter lime all around, with a sweet something keeping it friendly, and additional herbal freshness from mint. Makes me think of my beloved Bath & Body Works Limelight from 1996.

Smells like lime and florals. Simple but very refreshing fragrance for a hot summer day. Lasts a few hours on my skin but FOREVER on my clothes.

Verry addicting and very soothing. Fizzy mojito. I use it also for layering when I want to add some sparkling citrusy freshness somewhere.

Gorgeous citrus opening, juicy and addicting. After half an hour smells very sweet and candy like (?). It lasted around 4hrs on the wrist

I love you Escada, if I was a famous woman in the 90s I’d love to be a brand ambassador for them. These perfumes are so me.

To my huge surprise, both after reading others reviews, and from looking at the notes of this perfume, I actually like it! I tested it, and basically was certain it would be dull, vaporize within short, and be a forgettable don't even bother kinda fragrance. Little did I know that I would notice beautiful whiffs of this perfume all day long. It's more than 12 hours since I sprayed one single spray on my hand to test it, and I can still catch this pleasant, almost soothing smell from it when moving my hand to grab something. I ended up going back and by a 50 ml of within a few hours after spraying it on, feeling myself drawn towards it like a bee to a flower. I can not explain this. The notes are not me at all, and it's nothing spectaculary special to this fragrance. It just.. hits the spot. Suits me well. Makes me dream about summer, but it's also strangely familiar. Perhaps a resemblance to a previous limited edition Escada? Might be. I really don't care. I just know I really like this scent. Love? Maybe not. Not yet, anyways. But I definitely like it (she said, smelling her hand. Again.) Some will say this is a summer scent. And I get why. It definitely has those summer vibes. But in my book, that can work all year round. Imagine in the middle of the winter, it's freezing 20-25 below zero, and you are longing for summer like it's the doorstep to heaven. And you sit by the fireplace, close your eyes, dream about summer and then you catch it. That wonderful smell of spring or summer, and you can almost trick yourself into believing you're there. That's what this scent is to me, and thus a perfect all year, all rounder. It may be that it's best suitable for day time, I am not sure yet. But it's a safe office wear, and still it can also heighten the experience of a fancy dinner party.

A very refreshing, simple, unpretentious mix of mint, lime and mojito with some tropical variation of lily flower. Nothing new and never smelled before but very pleasant and energising. Easy reach scent for hot and humid summer days. Quite fleeting to be honest but not excessively overpriced like many other similar scents from other designers houses! I have similar perfumes with this scent profile, so for me it is a pas. But if you’re new to the perfume world and want an affordable, pleasant, refreshing summer time scent, give Brisa Cubana a sniff.

This is more like a fruity, slightly citrusy shampoo scent to me than mojito, in my opinion. I don't get any mint at all and no distinct lime. That said, it's a very pretty, feminine freshie that would be lovely for summer, although the longevity is weak for the price tag. I think this bears a resemblance to Applejuice from Zara, though side by side, Brisa Cubana is more delicate and better blended (as it should be). Similar ballpark, though.

Would I buy this at full price? No. But I found this for $17 at Ross, so we took a chance. Super bright, super fresh and juicy! Perfect for hot summer days. The lime note is strong and may be too sharp for some. I don’t think this is juvenile at all. My one complaint is that I wish it was a bit more boozy. It would layer well with many fruity fresh summer scents like coconuts, aquatic/scents, driftwood! Beachy things!

The notes are so off, i didn't smell Mojito at all! Instead i smelled Sex on the Beach cocktail in the opening. 🍹 Straight orange and red grenadine. 🍊❤️ Then it settled into a sweet cocktail mixed with sunscreen. Sunny, beachy and immediately reminded me of a holiday i've been to. 🏖 I liked it but in my opinion not worth the high pricetag for a "simple" perfume. Mind you it's 80 swiss francs here!!

I always look forward to the limited edition perfumes from Escada. This one does not disappoint in my opinion. It smells like a minty mojito which definitely lifts my spirits in the winter months. Is it a beast mode perfume? NO it isn’t. But it is strong enough to lift my mood and to help me make it through the cold months. I think it will be perfect for hot weather because it smells so fresh.

In the store it smelled a lot like peaches which I loved about it and immediately purchased. When I got home I look on here and saw lime, mojito, and mint?!? Was super confused. But not mad. Smells amazing but paid quite a pretty penny for this. It’s definitely very summery and fruity with a little bit of citrus. The smell doesn’t last super long but it does linger on my clothes.

Looking at the pyramid, I did not expect Brisa Cubana to be sweet. I thought it would be very aromatic and in that sense different from the two fruity summer editions I have. But it is sweet (tangy-sweet), and the previous reviewer might have a point. Never tasted mojito. Is it sweet? Or is this the lily? For me, it is enjoyable nonetheless. Not fresh-aromatic though.

This is interesting. My first impression was that this smelled like sparkling raspberry juice. Very fruity, rather than citrusy or minty. In the drydown it almost smells like suede. But throughout it has that sweet, juicy fruit scent. I'm not sure I'll purchase it but I do like it. Very nice summer vibes.

A very nice summery perfume. If you like mojito the go for it immediately but be careful, don't drink it 😜 It's very sexy playful and it makes you feel like you are in sandy beaches of Cuba just it's name says. A breath of dew, a piece of summer around your neck!

Not a very exciting perfume, but still a refreshing citrus for hot weather. This would probably be a good layering scent for coconut and other tropical perfumes. I’m happy with this $15 purchase at Ross. Very sweet, though.

Its very pretty and tropical cool. I don't get where the mint is. But lasts 5 minutes. Over spraying does not solve the problem. 8/10 scent, a 2 for longevity

I don't get mint at all. But it's a pretty, feminine and juicy fragrance. Reminds me of the old school Escadas my mom used to wear. Love the nostalgic vibe 💚

Lemonade+raspberry lip balm smell. SO surprised the raspberry is not mentioned in the notes. Top pick for next summer, fun and mood boosting.

More of a general fruitiness, very sweet, than either lime or mint. Appealing summer fragrance and permanently sold out mid-summer at Ulta.

This is a lovely fruity fragrance. For some reason to me it smells like the dry down of Kayali Sparkling Lychee

At best, this smells like a fruit cocktail. At worst, it's like those fizzy drinks that you made yourself by adding dry powder to carbonated water. It's not unpleasant but this doesn't make me think of fresh fruit and nature, it's very obviously 'artificial'. It kind of reminds me of those body sprays intended for little girls that Avon had when I was a kid, that came in plastic bottles and had cartoon characters on them. It feels... cheap. I don't dislike it, I wouldn't mind catching whiffs of it on someone else, but I would not want this for myself. My same-aged friend likes it though and considers it appropriate for the summer, even though she prefers musky perfumes.

Peachy clean, a bit green, very much a pale scent. Maaaybe a bit of the reported mojito mont Lome way in the background somewhere.. This is sort of like the nectarine green tea from arden, but without the 'arden' overtone. A very plain scent - though I like this initially - could be that the cold winter air isn't making this shine, summer it will probably be better and stronger. The actual scent profile isn't a fruit bomb like usual

Don't trust the listed notes. This is extremely sweet! Before I read the notes I thought this is a tropical fruit smell as that is what it smells like - with sweet being the main note. It smells nice but only if you want a really sweet fragrance. You can catch the mint but this does not smell like a mohito, more like a mohito syrup - veeeeery sugary. Sillage and lasting time is average.

Fruity with pineapple and mango, lime and fresh greenness. There's a bit of "mojito" in there but my first impression wasn't mojito, more a "fresh juicy sweet fruity" like @cacemonster wrote. A bright, sugary fruit-juice cocktail but I can see my fructose levels quickly saturating. 🍋🍹

Very disappointing, the notes listed here definitely do not shine through. It smells sort of old, and not a fresh and sparkling clean type of smell as expected.

Oh wow. I tested this before looking at the notes and I really thought it was a mango scent. On par with other mango body sprays, but pretty good! Very juicy.

i really liked this fragrance when i smelled it on the paper but once i tried it on my skin it smells exactly like hair dye... 😭

Powdery and sweeter than expected. I am not really picking up any mint. I smell parma violets in the dry down.

I enjoyed wearing this last summer but all I can smell now is hair bleach

EDIT - I had to wash it off... It gave me a headache and got nauseous so I wont be buying more and will be giving mine away:( Jealous of those who found this for SO cheap! I did get it on discount at the Rack but not under $20 like some of you!!! I'll tell you guys now... if you like it, stock up because 20 years from now, this will be a cult classic and will sell for hundreds! I really like how fresh it is and can be layered to warm it up or make even more tropical. If I see more at discount stores, I know I'll be grabbing some (to save for later)! It does something weird on my skin so I can't 'love' it... kinda plasticky & synthetic that I'm not caring for. Maybe its the papaya (not listed in notes, but it's there). I have a bottle of "Pacific Paradise" from 2006 and people are going crazy over it.

Overall I usually enjoy the summer Escada scents as I live in high heat and they are great for summer. This one was not as fun as previous years. I was really hoping for a sweet mojito with a refreshing mint and lime vibe. Unfortunately this one is more a lime/citrus fragrance with no sweetness and no cooling mint. It is really just similar to last years, just a blah citrus. I am not a fan of much citrus as it goes like a household cleaner in the heat and just isn't for me. I already passed this one along to a friend. I have a hoard of Summer Festival from 2021 and that is what I will be wearing again this summer. Hoping next summer Escada moves away from the citrus and back to fun fruity.

Tried it in store, because I'm looking for a fresh mint/mojito scent for the summer. This definitely smells nothing like that. It smells very sweet and artificial (which is what some look for, but I was looking for a photorealistic scent). To me, this smells like children shampoos in the early 2000s/ mixed candy that has melted? I can't seem to understand the notes of this at all.

This was a blind buy. The name sounded fun and interesting. This scent is a mess. A sweet and syrupy synthetic mess. I do not like this at all. I wasn't expecting WOW coming from an Escada fragrance but this is a scrubber and a NO for me. Glad I bought a small bottle.

Smells exactly the same as Santorini Sunrise. The difference? While Santorini dries creamy this one has a weird citric note in the background that smells like a mix of dry lemons, sweets and masculine sweat from a locker room. Not a fan at all.

it smells like a mojito for the first 5 seconds and turns into a heavy plastic almost gasolina scent on my skin. I should've tried it on my skin at the store.

At first whiff it smelled like gummy bears fruity, yet with some plastic-y undertones. Now after owning it for a while I smell juicy, fruity, goodness, it’s like an elevated fruity shampoo. This was a blind buy for me, I bought this originally expecting the notes of lime and mojito, I did not get ANY of the listed notes. However what I do get is some orangey, green apple sort of mocktail smell. Downside: I can’t smell this on my skin after 30minutes, even if I over spray an obscene amount of this stuff, it’s even more watered down than a body-spray. Overall 4/10 it’s a nice easy fresh fruity smell I wouldn’t repurchase this again. Longevity 1/10 abismal longevity. Projection 3/10 I have to apply 10+ sprays to even smell something, and even then it’s light. I have been layering this with Layali Rouge and it’s a nice layering combo, for hot days. . .I’m going to use this up and it might be my last escada purchase ever. (Edit: I do smells some of the lily scent, it’s in the background and helps makes this not too sweet)
