Chiffon Sorbet Eau de Toilette

This is delicious, yummy tropical fruit 🥭 with mango definitely being the primary one to my nose. Has a tart, mouthwatering opening then gets sweeter, but stays fresh, not cloying or syrupy. This is my first Escada fragrance. I’m surprised I got this for such a low price at Ross -the bottle, brand and the juice feel slightly luxurious to me. The scent is really well blended, lighthearted, fun- with more oomph than a tropical body spray. My husband thinks it smells clean, but that’s probably because so many body washes are kind of tropical these days. But I would never categorize this as soapy. I think the florals lifted and take it into clean/fresh/shampoo territory. This is a safe blind buy-pretty and crowdpleasing summer fragrance if you like fruity scents. Decent longevity, around 4-5 hours.

Everything is pretty here: The package, the name and the fragrance herself. Chiffon Sorbet is not a typical Escada fruit cocktail. This has also many floral notes, which make this scent so delicate and elegant. I bought it without testing first and I love it. It is one of the most beautiful scents I have tested. I think it will stay in my collection forever. I never tested the original one but I am happy with this new version. Great that Escada re-launched this beauty!

I blind bought this recently and I absolutely love it! I have many of the Escada summer fragrances, and this is a top fave now. It is a very fresh, clean, fruity and aquatic scent. Perfect for spring and summer. The longevity is not great, but it is still worth it. It was super cheap too! I already got a second bottle as a back up. Escada never disappoints!

I get so many compliments when I wear this. To me it reminds me of Ralph Lauren fresh. I used to get every escape summer fragrance when they came out but I stopped over the years. Picked this one up at Ross and I want to go back and get another for back up. It's that good.

Beautiful long lasting juicy floral💕 It has a bright tropical fruity opening and you can definitely smell jasmine and violet from the beginning. Then the dry down very much reminds me of DBIR green stravaganza, but this is much cheaper 😊 such a must have

Sweet tropical and floral. I'm getting mango and maybe an apple? And then mix of flowers. I don't think this is aquatic tho. I've tried Sorbetto Rosso, Brisa Cubana, Santorini Sunrise, Yum me Sunny and this one, which might be my favorite yet.

I'm not sure what is causing this to smell aquatic on my skin but I'm not mad about it! It's juicy but not juvenile, flirty, light and refreshing.

A bright, fresh, aquatic fruity floral that is simple but honestly so lovely. It’s finally sunny here in the UK and I found myself reaching for this straight away, it just matches the mood perfectly. I got this as a Christmas gift from a friend, and while it’s not ground-breaking or complex, it’s such an easy, enjoyable wear. You get sweet, juicy mango and red apple right away, with a soft fig note that gives it a slightly creamy feel. The violet and jasmine keep it light and fresh rather than overly sweet. It’s not trying to be anything complicated, it just smells clean, fruity and happy. I’d call this a proper mood booster. The kind of scent you throw on when you want something pretty and effortless without thinking too much about it. Perfect for spring and summer, especially when you don’t want anything heavy or cloying.

Ordered the new version from Poland. I would say that the remake is very comparable to the original, though the currant seems a little more predominant in the new version. Very happy to have this again. Now if Escada would just bring back Tropical Punch, I would be very happy.

Fruity, eraser-y, plastic-y, woody ish. Quite nice, I don't feel the notes represent it how I smell this though. More plummy, grape, berry sort of fruits, a bit dark syrupy, that nice plasticky smell..or erasers smell, wood and leaf background. Couple hours still going strong

It's very light, clean, airy and tropical at the same time. In a way also fresh. Very good summer perfume. Has a calming effect and makes you feel at peace

Does not last, 30 mins max. But smells nice though.

I had high expectations based on the reviews here, but I didn't like it at all. It's very sweet and sharp to my nose, maybe because of the raspberry. Definetely a blind buy fail :(

28. August 2024 I am very happy that Escada re-released this forgotten 90 ́s treasure in a bit modernized way. It is basically the same old CHiffon sorbet but more sterile, if i can say so. Still very yummy, still amazing, not sickeningly sweet, but more fresh. We do not have Nectar de Costa Rica over here, only this and Brisa Cubana, and compared to Brisa Cubana i like Chiffon sorbet better. I love that mango and fig notes are quite prominent, it makes it different from latest Escada summer releases, but that what it was back in the days, each summer Escada scent was quite different, then they found a crowd pleasing combination and started to produce same smelling scents under different name. I enjoy lasting power, it is quite well lasting, silage is also good. So i highly recommend this version.

Tested this on my skin in the store. It doesn't really have the overly sweet feel to it like most of the Escada fragrances have - it's rather juicy fresh and floral. It's definitely more complex than I expected especially from Escada. I would say that on my skin the apple is very prominent, there's a little bit mango as well on the background and some powdery woody florals. The only downside is that the lasting power is terrible - just 30 minutes and it's gone. Disappointed in that, so won't be buying even though it smells heavenly.

So, wait... Escada is bringing three new summer scents this year? Chiffon Sorbet, Bisa Cubana AND Nectar de Costa Rica? That's a lot... not complaining, though! Fig and Ambergris notes are unusual for Escada summer scents ~ nice to see them venture out a bit, try something new! Interesting to test if Chiffon Sorbet really smells like SORBET ~ can't really see it in the notes, but the name should be an indicator of what to expect, right?

This is so pretty. It is a soft, elegant fruity floral that is not super sweet like most Escada fragrances tend to be. It is really beautiful and well balanced, it has a good dose of violet and rose, mixed with mango, raspberry, the drydown is woody and musky, somewhat fluffy. I think I will need back up bottles.

Woohoo. Thanks Escada for re issuing this ♥! Edit: I just got this and excitedly opened it and sprayed this. This is very much the same fragrance from all those years ago which is the main thing (woohoo! again). This also strongly reminds me of its successor (Summer in Provence from 1994). Another winner 👍🏼.

Too much mango , like when a mango is overripe , very overpowering . Passing it on to someone who will hopefully be able to make it work for them . #32 out of 114 perfumes I’m trying to use before I buy another one.
