Escada Moon Sparkle

Received it in a swap and I like it..it's very different from fragrances that I usually wear these days and reminds me my perfume style and preferences when I was in my late teen years.if I knew it back then,I'd love it and maybe it could be my signature for a year It's very fruity so if you're into fruity scents,it can be for you.when I first spray it,most dominant note I catch is red apple,but after a minute,strawberry and blackcurrant are also there and it becomes deliciously sweet.I can detect just a small hint of citruses.florals aren't prominent in moon sparkle and I can detect freesia,sweet pea,rose and jasmine after reading note's list.I doubt I could name all of them if I didn't know they're there but definitely I could say there's a touch of light florals I think sweetness and florals prevents moon sparkle from turning to a fruity shampoo scent.it doesn't change much in Drydown..sweetness mellows a bit and a soft touch of white musk is added.it's drydown smells just as a fruity lip balm I used to have as a kid,it was so delicious I always wished that it was edible, escada moon sparkle is also as delicious Moon sparkle is a simple fragrance.it's fruity ,sweet,colorful and happy.it can easily lift my moods and arrange a travel back in time to my late teen years and make me a happy carefree young girl again..it's a summer scent but because of it's sweetness It's also wearable in mild weather year round. Can't tell about it's longevity yet but it seems to have moderate sillage and unexpectedly,it's a real complement getter! ❤❤❤ Edit: I had to add this: this little cute fruity sweetie has amazing Longevity! Only musky white florals tend to have great lasting power on my skin so I was expecting 4-5 hours of longevity for moon sparkle which was ok IMO.I sprayed it in morn.about 8,9 hours later my sister in love told me after hugging me: you smell so sweet and lovely(she dislikes heavy sweet scents and gourmands and naming a sweet perfume lovely is rare in her case) I smelled my wrist and I was surprised to see it's pretty scent is clinging to my skin) I think I have to change it's rate from three hearts to four hearts not because of it's impressive longevity; I also tend to enjoy it a lot.it really makes me happy and I have to appreciate this ❤❤❤❤

Preferences: Fruity, vanilla, watery, sweet, citrus (Will update) Perfume nose: amateur best season Warmer seasons day/night both the age of the woman who wears it 18+ i think even a 40 year old can wear this the persona of the woman who wears it sexy, addictive, tease! from the first sniff of the nozzle to the release of the spray its love at first smell! its like mmm this smells pretty and then you spray it's like wow!! sits on the skin so beautifully and when you get a whiff of it you wants to just smell it over and over again. i get the slightest hint of grapefruit just the very very slightest. you can definitely smell the wild strawberries not so much as ralph lauren but a nice amount. the apple i get is a nicely ripened royal gala apple very nice.one little little tiny criticism is that it needs a warmer basenote like a tiny hint of vanilla or sandalwood to accompany the musk which i think if they added it i would bathe in it! nice balance of sweet and fruity the woman whos wears this is a sexy socialite. tease is the step up from flirty and this is what i think of this scent its a step up but its not too aggressive it sits very nicely. she holds herself well and is a joy to be around a good addition to a party or social event. This was my first “grown up” perfume at age 15. One evening, I drenched my Juicy Couture velour hoodie with Moon Sparkle to sneak out of my house and traipse in the moonlight and to meet with a boy, the son of a famous wrestler. Despite our proximity as neighbors and his then enrollment into the high school I was attending, we never spoke again. I wore this perfume in excess as an attempt to garner his attention in our shared science class, positioning myself infront of the fan to see if I could evoke memories of the night we spent together. For many years this perfume reminded me of the embarrassment of the experiments of youth. Now, 15 years later, I realize that this scent is a metaphor for the experience. Sticky sweet fruit and flowers represent playful, bubbly naiveté white the notes of musky amber represent the foreboding undercurrent of rapidly approaching adulthood. What I would do to go back where my greatest hurdle in life was wooing a boy with a perfume my mom bought at the Macy’s counter.

kinda like a grown-up version of a fruity body splash - certainly has a bit more depth to it than a regular body splash, but still not especially complex. what you smell initially is what you smell all day, and I smell a lot of citrus + currant (along with some cotton candy, maybe?) when I wear this. MUCH better longevity than Turquoise Summer and almost wears like an EDP imo. I spritzed this once on my decolletage last night after a shower and it's still regularly wafting up to my nose a full 12 hours later. this fragrance is also my boyfriend's favorite and seems to be a hit with guys in general. I absolutely love this perfume and hope to always have a bottle of it in my collection. it's young and sweet, but also mysterious and enchanting. glad I can still find it at most malls but heartbroken that it's officially discontinued, this is a signature fragrance for me for sure.

I am not normally a fan of fruity fragrances, mostly because they smell the same to me but Escada Moon Sparkle is one of the most unique I have come across so far. The Strawberry and Raspberry are delectable, and the highlights of the perfume for me. I don't personally think that they come across as being synthetic... More like abstract...Strawberries can sometimes have a "fungal" smell so think of freshly ripened, and also freshly picked raspberries, so I would say they are both at the peak of their states. Divine!! Of course they wouldn't have the centre stage without the support of the other notes, making this scent a myriad of girlishness, progressing through to womanliness. Therefore, I believe this perfume is appropriate for all age groups because sometimes a woman wants to feel abit girly :) Love the bottle too :))

Certainly more mature than Escada's other summer crazes. Definitely better than this season's Marine Groove! I got astoundingly sensitive when I first tried Moon Sparkle. Suddenly, I could almost sense the presence of my young piano teacher and the good smelling reward stickers that she gave to me when I could play a new song. So I aggressively emptied my lungs in order to scrutinize the scent as accurately as possible, to be a 5-year-old again. Those kind of moments are the essence of loving smells and scents; unexpected moments of memories that one could not recall via sight, hearing, feel or taste! __ Nowadays, I sometimes feel ashamed of wearing Moon Sparkle because most people recognize it. But on the other hand, MS is worth it. And unlike most summer fragrances, this one's sweetness is in great balance.

Around 2006/2007, I was shopping in a department store when I came across some brightly colored Escada perfumes. I tested maybe 1 or 2 and was drawn in quickly to fruity sweet scents I had never experienced in a perfume before. However, I am cheap, so I grabbed the mini dabber set of all 5: Rockin Rio, Island Kiss, Moon Sparkle, Pacific Paradise and Sunset Heat. I don't think I paid more than ~$30ish for the set. I became smitten with the tart, fruity scents. However since I am also stingy, I rarely used them and eventually stashed them away. Moon sparkle is a little more than half full and Rockin Rio more than 3/4 full...clearly liked them the most 🤣. I believe this to be one of the best Escada summer collections ever released. If you can snag a bottle of Moon Sparkle, go for it!

oh, gosh. I love escada since im into the fruity floral fragrances. This is my first escada perfume and I'm loving it. I'm still a newbie when it comes to identifying notes but I can definitely say that this is quite fruity, sweet, not too strong nor it is weak, it also can be sexy and feminine. I find it is quite versatile, I wore it when I went to Humid singapore but i wear it too in the Australian Winter. I also wear it day or night depending on my mood. Definitely the perfume I wear if i want to feel like a sweeet young graceful lady. :p Lasting power is quite alright.

For me this is one of the best Escada perfumes. I like that is not flat, as some others of the same series, but a sophisticated, dark and mysterious. In the beginning it feels citrus and the other fruit notes. After about 30 minutes come and floral notes, but not lost fruity smell. And my favorite part is the dry down - deep and compelling. Musk, sandalwood and amber give the required depth and passion of this scent. While raspberries make it very fresh and tasty. It was my signature scent for some years and always will be in my love list. Not a bad projection for the edt.

My most favourite perfume of all time :) (dreamy eyes). I bought it on a whim back in 2007 whilst on holiday and it has been my most treasured perfume ever since. Its hard to describe entirely or specifically but it is the most delectable,creamy,long-lasting fruity fragrance i have ever smelt and no other fragrance comes close to this one. I tend to wear it for special occasions now and i have many a fond memory whilst wearing this perfume. utterly divine. So upset its a limited edition because one day i know it"ll be gone!!! I started wearing this when I got tired of Pacific Paradise. At first, I was really excited with this one. It was sweet and more grown-up than the others I had tried. Unfortunately, I wore it so much, that it began to smell like all the other Escada scents I had owned and I couldn't even finish the bottle, choosing to give the rest to my sister instead. I do miss it from time to time, but I'll never revisit it. If you've never tried it, please do as it's a very nice frag. Just don't overdo it like I did or you'll begin to detest it.

This is where party Stephanie comes out! This is the scent I wear to clubs and parties! Guys love sweet right? And you are here to dance your head off and this withstands everything! Opening you smell sweet strawberries and black currant then the freesia hits you and on the drydown i get raspberry and sandalwood! Most men love it they give ya the" oooo you smell so good comment" on the first date or the dancefloor. You could wear it for other things but for me this scent just means let's have some fun!! Yaaaa

I'm wearing this now as I just found it in my stash and forgot I had it. It's fresh clean, sweet, fruity, carefree and innocent with a tad bit of zing and spice. The zing seems to be like wild strawberries. Glad I found it and now I will wear it more often. Looked on here for reviews and notes and didn't realize it was rare. I had gotten my bottle on clearance for super cheap years back and it was the large one. I love fragrances with Raspberries so this is why it smells delicious to me.

Bought this a few days ago, first time smelling Escada perfumes, and I fell in love. I have been wearing this for a few days, and I love it. It is fruity and sweet without being tacky, fluffy, or boring. The fruitiness has an edginess and complexity to it. It is layered about rich base notes of musk and amber, covered in a floral raspberry, a citrus tang, and fragrant sweet pea. This perfume is divine. Wish it were not discontinued. More Escada, please!

I have two partial bottles left, but I'm afraid to use them!!! I was given a dupe called Sweet Sensation which I stupidly gave away. Now the dupe is discontinued, but I found another one on eBay for like $25 when it was normally $15. I really need to stop giving perfumes away, LOL! The La Rive dupe is cheaper, but I haven't smelled it and I know the Sweet Sensation one is spot on. Oh, I forgot to comment on the scent itself... it's amazing!

I love this perfume so much. This and Born in Paradise are my beloved escada's. It reminds me a bubble gum which I like very much, it is happy and perfect for spring and summer. I would love more longevity! I have back up bottles maybe it is my new signature? I really don't know. As much as I love Fracas which was my signature, I love This one also. So sad that they discontinued it or let me say it is an LTD for summer. 3/5 V

Light, bright, happy, fun and fruity! One of my favorite summer fragrances. I don't know why Escada would ever discontinue this either, but like Gemsense below, I also stay stocked up on the perfume oil! I've ordered from various places over the years and luckily they've all been consistently good. My last one was from Nature's Oil and I definitely recommend it! Their version of the Herbal Essence fragrance is also amazing.

I got a bottle of this for Christmas back in the early years of High School and I regret using it up so fast. Or at least keeping the bottle. I get nostalgic for this scent and it randomly pops in my head sometimes. I remember it smelling like grape syrup but in a good way! The bottle looked absolutely gorgeous on my dresser. I like some of the new summer editions and some are just alright but this is the one I truly miss.

This was a blind buy of a sample, and I don't regret it. I tend to steer towards floral- and oriental-floral scents, so I'm actually very excited to find a gorgeous fruity scent! I'm also doubly-excited about the dupe perfume that apparently exists! Winner, winner! *** Kitty rating: 9/10 --> *will* repurchase. Husband rating: -5/10 (yes, that's a minus/subtraction sign) --> "BLARGH, smells like cotton candy!!!". *sigh*

I remember purchasing Moon Sparkle as a blind buy because I was madly in love with Sunset Heat, its extravagant and fruity sister. At first I was disappointed, because Moon Sparkle is definitely more subtle than Escada's annual fruit bombs. Only now, nine years later, I get to rediscover a beautiful combination of blackcurrant, red fruits and citrus on a bed of musk. Apparently, with age comes wisdom :)
