Escada Rockin' Rio 2011

i have Rocking Rio since 2015 and would never have thought i will "LOVE" the perfume and will wear it that frequently. Rocking Rio is tropic fruity and fruity sweet on me. I get pineapple supported by peach from start to end. 6 sprays and i get around 6 hours with decreasing sillage. The perfume is warm, happy and optimistic. i reach for it often during winter and when i am moody. This scent is simple and linear but it serves great purpose.

When i got it and used it i wasnt sure about how i felt about it, but it has gron on me and i love it now, i think it was the translusion from winter to spring that made it feel weird but it changed my mood and suits me wery well now:) I dont think it is all sweet, its kind of a balmy citrus and i also smell mango even thoughthis is not mentioned as one of the notes. Love the smell for spring and summer:)

I owned Sunset Heat in 2007, and used the whole bottle by 2009! I have such fond memories of it. I now own Rockin Rio, which is very similar, but a little more tart. RR is fruity, fresh, and tropical. It reminds me of a mango passionfruit dole whip! It's sweet, but not sickeningly so due to the tanginess of the fruit. I loved this fragrance so much I bought a 3.3 oz backup bottle!

Definitely a teen fragrance. Those limitex editions were my signature scents throughout my teens til 2nd year of uni. I loved the smell, the feeling, everything. The only bad thing about them in general was the longevity.. How I wish I could find a more sofisticated version of this kind of perfume, with similar notes and bigger longetivity.

Wonderful. Girly, sweet, provocative.. I smell sth creamy. Very nice one. It reminds me of lollipop. Yummy. :-D I smell tangerine which gives it the right amount of juiciness. Love the smell of papaya in it. There is a little hint of coconut. + this is the scent which stays out of the crowd, and that ́s perfect, isn ́t it?

I don't like coconut, but this one does not have too much of it, and even though I can smell it, it is not overpowering, indeed it complements the fruits exceptionally well! This is a juicy scent, I like it very much. Fruit salad and samba carnevals and juicy tropical drinks! Possibly the best tangerine scent out there.

I LOVE this scent! When I first tested this I was at the airport on my way to a summer holiday and boy my nose was like hang on this is the scent u need! It's so fresh and tropical and will definitely get you in paradise vibes. The fruitiness is amazing as you can easily smell the sweetness of the peaches and orange!

Rockin Rio is one of the best escada perfumes in my opinion. When you first spray it, it smells like a fruity/sweet papaya/pineapple perfume. Then the peach comes in and it smells amazing. I have both the 2005 and the 2011 version. I have 5 bottles of this rocking rio and that is how much I love it lol.

this is so unlike any other "fruity" scent- it's totally berry-free! I didn't think I'd like it because I do love sweet berries... but really I LOVE IT!! :-) Perfect for summer, just refreshing and *good* Unfortunately it only last about an hour on me.

Agree with Roseamongthorns...it's my least favorite of the three re-leases. But having said that, it's still a true blue Escada with the tropical fruit and flowers. I find it the most fruity of the three.

Very nostalgic and uber sweet!! Sweetest juicy fruit salad in a bottle. Papaya is dominant and very playful. love love love.. The ultimate summer/vacation perfume for me.

This is so nice! Smells much like Live by Jennifer Lopez except I think this oe is fruitier..very sweet & fruity & fresh..LOVE it!

Smells EXACTLY like "Ralph by RL (the blue bottle) I really like it, but kinda sucks I have two perfumes that smell exactly alike.

juicy! a fruit splash, refreshing, invigorating, it's like a fluffy bed of pineapples and papaya.

I blind bought a 30ml bottle and I can't decide if it was worth it or not. Its a sweet fruity scent but it smells very similar to something I already have and I can't quite put my finger on it. Its a great perfume for summer when I don't want to wear my heavy coconut scents. This says there is coconut in the notes but I simply do not smell it at all. I get more of a pineapple, mango, and peach scent. Its like a bowl of fresh cut fruit. I don't smell anything else on me, not even the musk. I can say if I was offered a swap for some other gourmand perfume, I would probably take it as I am not overly impressed with this. Sillage (arm's length) and longevity (5 hours) are ok. edited- I figured out what it smells like on me. Zahrat Hawai by Al-Rehab

i have tested all 3 new reeditions of Escada summer fragrances and this one is my most favorite of all those 3 ones. It is the most intense and very-very much like an original one. Maybe it is a bit different, i can ́t compare, since i don ́t have it yet in my collection of summer Escada scents (but i had it back then), but as much as i can remember it is even better than the original one, more softer then the original one, not that chemical on that "tropical" note as it used to be. I would even wear that gladly and would even enjoy it during summer time or even better on late spring time. I get a strong papaya and pineapple mix from this scent, with a peach added as well, but the papaya and pineapple are really dominanting.

I mentioned in an earlier review that I didn't like any other Escada fragrances, but I couldn't help not purchase this one. It's very fresh, clean and fruity. I smell the pineapple, papaya and tangerine immediately, then after a couple hours it changes into a pineapple, papaya and peachy smell. It lasts a long time which is a plus. A little bit of the down side is that It smells like one of those "kid" perfumes I used to have when I was younger, meaning a play-pretend perfume more than an actual young lady perfume. I must admit I mostly got this scent because of the fact that it's supposed to be a scent that smells like a Brazilian beach party or something. I love Brazil and I love Rio de Janeiro!

I agree with one of the reviews @JetsBabe below me...I kept smelling it over and over again and thought "this smells so darn familiar"...it's Ralph by Ralph Lauren in the blue bottle. Smells good but, as the one below me said, now I just have two bottles of the same scent (though this one is definitely prettier lol) It's fresh, tangy, and I don't feel it's that sweet; it's more tart. Great for the summer, but to be honest I don't like it alone; I like to layer it with a couple of my other Escada petfumes (like Taj Sunset) or a coconut scent (since I smell NO coconut in this)
