Escada Summer Festival

Yup this is a strong LOVE for me (terrible lasting power though)!! This is for sure the best summer Escada scent in the last 4 years. It is exactly the level of fruity and playful that you want an Escada summer scent to be. At first sniff you get a kind of apple/fruity/cherry blossom vibe. It is very sweet, youthful, and almost bath and body works eques. Super fun and playful. I can sort of understand the icy note because there is a very cooling with almost a watermelon cooling smell (Similar to Escada Sorbetto Rosso 2017 LTD). I don't pick up the sandalwood much but that is just probably there to give it some lasting, BUT with all Escada LTD's they just don't have a lot of lasting power. They are much more like body splashes than heavy fragrances, but in summer for myself that is pretty much what I want. If you spray it primarily on your clothing it will linger. Now the down side is Summer Festival is HARD to get currently You will have to pay that over-priced resale price as she just isn't available anywhere. I did pay the markup because I had to get another bottle and I am so happy I have it.

I deleted my original post I did on this because I bought the full size of this today and one I love it even more than before. First off-I am a die hard escada yearly lover!! I was introduced to them in 2013 and I’ve bought them yearly since-and even bought some older ones too!! They don’t last the greatest, and they aren’t anything ground breaking but if you like summer loving, beach bum, girly, easy to wear and not murder the wallet kind of perfumes than this will be your jam, just as they are mine. Other than Magnetism, I haven’t found any of their fragrances I didn’t love, and I always buy them!!! It is similar to a few of their older ones but none of the ones from say 2012-2016ish give or take, but yes they do have some of the same notes as other years but when you’re doing summer fragrances it’s hard to not reuse a lot of the same notes!!! Love it! Recommend it! MmmmmmYUM!

I'm a sucker for sweet, fruity, floral scents and Escada just knows how to do them right! Yes, it's got a Victoria Secret and Bath and Body Works vibe, many of their scents do ... But they smell so yummy, who cares?! I love this one! Escada produces some of the best summer scents!

A cherry and mandarin explosion with a hint of jasmin. I don't get any 'ice' note or I don't understand it. This is a great sweet fruity summer scent with good silage and longevity. Love it!

I LOVE this perfume! I am a Escada's fan, and this is no exception. This is very fruity, sweet and fresh at the same time. It kind of reminds me of Miami blossom, but less floral and sweet.

A beautiful, sweet and fruity summerperfume. The best one in years I would say. The perfume doesn’t last long though but no regrets of the purchase, I love the smell of it!

I get the ice note, like an iced fruit. Very fresh yet fruity and A bit sweet. A wonderful scent, I Wonder why I don't use this More often.

I'm a bit surprised at the vitriolic reviews, but I stand proud in my burgeoning love and enjoyment of this perfume. I'm an Escada die-hard, though pre-2015 was my last big love, in Taj Sunset. I also enjoyed Agua del Sol, but found it to be a bit more musky, with a note that made feel a bit sick. I bought it because I missed Taj Sunset, and it came somewhat close, but it wasn't quite as soft, nor was it watery. I'd spritz Taj any day/time of the year - I'm a summer-scent loving gal. Even in winter, I default to softer, close to the skin scents that may get lost in coats, sweaters. Most times, I keep on with my summer scents, in denial of frozen temps and dry skin. I smell delightful, albeit a bit weird - like having a mojito in January. I think this one will make the seasonal transition. I just bought my first full-size bottle of Summer Festival, having tried the roller first. It does smell a bit 'young', but summer feels like returning to youth. I smell cherries, cream, the lightest musk. Nothing sour, as others have said. I think the 'cherry in ice' descriptor is meant to feel a bit refreshing, without the watery distinction. It feels very warm to me, so ice may not quite be right, but it does have a zing to it that ice does - maybe more a brief whiff of spice? It IS sweet - if you don't like sweet, you won't like this. I think I like Summer Festival because it reminds me of a cross between Taj and my other long, lost love, Cherries in the Air: it's like those two had a baby, and grew up to remind you of something you once loved, but feels different enough not to rely on pure nostalgia. Is this earth shattering? Will you turn heads? Maybe not. But you'll smell sweet, girlish, fun - but not juvenile. It'll come on a bit strong and then fade without overwhelming you in the heat. It's one side of the perfumes that I like: uncomplicated without being simple, feminine, fun. I've given up playing dress up with older, more elegant scents that get lauded as unique and 'must have', only to end up smelling like fancy hamster chips. (I'm looking at you, Molecule #2.) Sometimes, you just want to smell sweet, like 'girl'. So thank you Escada, for giving me the good stuff!

Escada Summer Editions are simply a summer time fragrance that I look forward to seeing. I don't try to compare these with Coco Mademoiselle or even my Dolce & Gabbana The One. This is just fun, playful, perfect poolside, perfect beach side, on vacation, sipping a fancy fruity iced tea or cocktail, let my hair loose kind of perfume. I bought the smaller size this time so it won't be weighty. I smell cherry and florals similar to some of the more floral Escada offerings. Some call it juvenile, fragrance doesn't have an age for me. This is something I am happy to have to refresh myself during casual times. Fits perfectly fine for my area which has pretty white sandy beaches and humid weather.

Escada do the best fruity, zingy, summery fragrances - this just being the latest in a long line of fabulous! I like many others fell in love with Tropical Punch years ago, and while the scents that followed have never quite reached the same status in my mind, their summer offerings are always good and a safe blind buy for me. You know what you are getting- sweet fruits, not much longevity, but fun while it lasts! This time I do smell the icy cherry initially, back up by a general fruity cocktail scent. Perfect for hot summer days to spritz and smell delicious! Nice nice nice.

Delicious, pretty girl stuff. Smells like early 2000’s, platform flip flops, tube tops and boyband posters on the wall. Flower motifs everywhere and pink pink pink. I love it. Just like most escada stuff it smells like candied juice and I just want to drink it. Borders on shampoo-like (is perfumey enough to set itself apart from a true shampoo like scent) + The longevity is crap but who really cares. I can see this getting sickening so go easy with it. Update: It can lean a tinyyyyy bit cough-syrupy. But still nice

I bought this recently because of the "reminds me of" Tropical Punch which came out in the 2000's. I absolutely loved TP and got compliments every time I wore it. Summer Festival is a little bit similar and nice but it is much more subdued than Tropical Punch which really did pack a punch. These fruity Escada frags are way too expensive now for the quality of the juice. They need to improve the potency of their products as they are nothing like what they used to be.

One of my favorite scents. Smells as the name suggests - Summer Festival. It honestly smells really great and I can imagine myself wearing this perfume a lot this summer. However, I have to say that the lasting power is embarrassing, especially when you consider the price tag. It disappears after 1-2 hours. If it lasted a few more hours this would definitely be one of my favorite perfumes.

Very surprised that there are no fruit notes listed, this fragrance smells exactly like berries. Perfect summer fragrance, it lasts all day. This was my first Escada purchase...I really like this fragrance but after smelling other scents from Escada...they are all very similar. If you have Miami Blossom you could probably skip out on this one.

A beautiful fruit punch fragrance with a touch of green. Not sure if it's full bottle worthy, but I like that it's fruity and sweet without being sharp or woody. It has a very similar "feel" to my other holy grail Escada fragrance: Born in Paradise (but Summer Festival feels "pink, "not "Pina colada blue").

Skin test summer. I don't think this one is very different than the loads of others in this line, but it is pleasant, fresh clean fruity, then leans dusky. More of an average longevity on me, others I have last longer.

Every summer I try the annual Escada limited edition, most of the time I'm disappointed. Summer Festival sounded different for Escada because it doesn't list a lot of fruity notes, but in reality it's as fruity as ever and doesn't stand out one bit. When you know it should be there, it's possible to single out a hint of cherry blossom, but despite the official notes, this is really more of pink berry scent. At the start I get whiffs of that trendy strawberry note that got popular with Burberry Her, does anyone else sense that or is it just me? The opening is really nice, like it is with most summer Escadas: Super fruity, sweet and fresh, familiar and nostalgic, 100% fun. But the drydown comes too soon and then it smells just like a creamy shampoo with artificially sweetened, nonspecific sour berries, rather thin and unrefined. I like Summer Festival a little more than Flor de Sol and Miami Blossom, but not by much. The last Escada that really impressed me was Sorbetto Rosso, because that had its own character but was still distinctly Escada, like the old early 2000s releases. I wish Escada did that more often instead of churning out mixed fruit openings with sourish drydowns. If you feel nostalgic about the older Escadas, try Al-Rehab Al-Nourus, it captures the summery feel-good spirit much better than this does.

Red berries and slight citrus/orange. That’s all I get from this on my skin and to my nose. It’s very fruity like fruit punch. The red berries overpower any other notes. It’s immature but fun. Escada frags are notorious for their poor performance and this one is no exception. Longevity is 3-3.5 hrs on my well moisturized skin. Sillage sits close to the skin. It leaves no trail. All Escada frags are on par with body sprays. Their frags all remind me of Body Fantasies or Bodycology sprays. Summer Festival is best suited for the 10-16 year old crowd, but anybody can wear it and pull it off in the right environment/occasion. It’s just a bright, fruit punch, summer fragrance. I think I’d wear it to an outdoor daytime party, boardwalk or theme park. Despite it being suited as a starter fragrance for children and teens I like it. It’s simple, straightforward and fun. 6/10 overall 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓 The smell is childish yet good, but Escada needs to fix the performance of their products. Yess!! I ike it alot! It's a blend of fruits. Like a refreshing fruity ice slush, with some fragrant flowers in the air, under the summer sun basically. It definitely have that Escada ID, like if you're familiar with the brand and it's previous releases, you'll instantly know this is from Escada. It instantly transport me too the summer, and living in a winter climate country, this is lovely. It's also alot more fruity than many of the most recent releases, and I'm here for it! Still the lasting power are not great, but hey, at least they're consistent lol :)

Overview: Lounging in a pool floaty on a summer day This scent is definitely not something I would wear now. It is very sweet, and almost apple juice-like. It is suited for light-hearted beach occasions with your friends. I don't feel that the "juvenile" nature of the scent is a bad thing at all. It keeps the fragrance fun and light.

Initially at first sniff it's pretty similar to Tropical Punch from the early 00's -- but that's where the similarities end. TP was a charming and multi-layered concoction of fruity flowery notes with extra longevity but this flanker only smells cheap and synthetic. What you get is a strong and displeasingly artificial "fruit bomb" aroma which sort of knocks you out and then fades away very quickly. Escada could (and should) do much better than this.

Agree with you fatty.ratty! Escada summer scents used to be fun, sexy, and flirty with a little grown-up kick to them, but now they smell like a mishmash of cheap aromachemicals that don't say summer but desperate cash grab. If they want to impress, maybe they should try a banana daiquiri scent or pina colada. Anything but the cheap, flat, stale, sour mess they've been putting out lately.

No, just no. At first it smells like a sticky (sickly) fruity but slightly sour drink. It fades into a cheap smelling perfume or hand sanitizer you can find on a festival portable toilet. This is the first time in my life where i can say with confidence that the smell does not match the scent pyramid. It smells like a sticky warm red berry lollipop that has been in the sun for too long.

As usual coming from Escada, this smells like a cheap shower gel or body mist. I find that sometimes, they have a really good scent, like Cherry in the Air, but usually they all smell pretty much the same. Bottle is cute though.

(From a paper Ulta sample that comes in their mailed catalogue): "Fresh", my left foot. It's so sweet that it churns my stomach--like someone added sugar to Hawaiian Punch. Hard pass, especially for the asking price.

This is horrible quality and shocking coming from Escada! Smells like a flat, stale, sour, cheap body mist that would be rejected by Dollar Tree! Wow, this is an epic fail...

My favorite fruity fragrance in my collection. Definitely want to try more Escada's after getting this one. The notes are a bit confusing because it's like what is ice supposed to smell like lol. But maybe it gives it that fresh vibe because it's not a warm fragrance at all. It's very classic Escada fruity, and it's not very cherry blossom at all. In fact I don't even smell cherry in the fragrance but I smell the mandarin. When it dries down too it almost gives me this lipstick/thick lipgloss type of smell with the fruity smell as well. Summer in a bottle but is fresh enough to be worn year round. Happy go lucky fragrance. And for me it lasts a very long time most of the day and longer on my clothes. This isn't a perfume that just fades away on my skin. No not complex but I love it for what it is, and I just love fruity fragrances like this in general.

I bought this recently because I was yearning for a scent that was as close to Ibiza Hippie as possible (it was my best friend's perfume back in the day and I remember loving it so much!) My package just arrived and I quickly opened it hoping the votes here weren't wrong and they are Soo right!! This took me right back to 2nd year highschool getting ready to go out. Just a fruity juicy and fun frag,nothing serious. Very reminiscent of our teenage years! I'm so so happy I got this! It probably isn't exact but it is close enough to invoke the same feelings. As a fragrance, there is something among the candy juiciness that reminds me of light blue but just a hint of it. I can totally smell Ibiza Hippie or what my memory remembers as Ibiza Hippie. Couldn't be more pleased with this!

I also think this has the classic escada DNA. A fruity sweet perfume. I don't think of cherries with this one the same way as with "cherries in the air" ( Def prefer the latter over this one) I haven't worn it myself yet, but a colleague sprayed it in the restroom this morning and it has been lingering out of that door ever since.It's, two o'clock in the evening now. Maybe its just me being very sensitive to this kind of fragrance. I think maybe it's the ice thats ruining it for me. I'm not into aquatic perfumes.

Ulta didn’t have a tester so I chose to blind buy this since I always love the summer editions. I ended up returning it today. The initial spray smells like Tropical Punch but quickly fades into a sour fruit smell and then within half an hour, I smell nothing at all. I even had my husband try to smell it on my wrist and he couldn’t detect that I sprayed anything. Waste of money. This will be the first summer fragrance from Escada that I will not be adding to my collection

Casually testing this out on a cloudy Summer day. It smells like most other Escada Summer scents and also a few Anna Sui perfumes. Sugary nectarine with overzealous floral underlay. Not offensive, fun to wear, unpretencious, and just what it should be. Spray with abandon. On the other hand, what does ice smell like? Do they mean the smell of the freezer compartment in my fridge, because I could smell that if I stretch my imagination. LOL.

I dislike this one with a passion. Is it just me or ever since Fiesta Carioca, everything went down hill. The scents aren't even escada like anymore. Turquoise summer is what kinda made the scents shift into a different category of perfume scents. But now they're just making a lot of them floral. Its gross. This years smells just like flor del sol. In the beginning it is a fresh fruity. Then 5 seconds later is a sour scent.

The box & the bottle are beautiful While its NOT a brand new or a unique escada scent Its still got that cheerful fruity fresh vibe that u need in the summer hot days🌞⛱️ I am sure there is a bunch of fruits notes in it Even though its not listed ! I sence Pineapple 🍍, a bit of guava, Orange 🍊 & candy notes🍬 Fruity & floral notes here are 50/50

Quite boring scent, typical fruity top note. Nothing new. Could be any other summer fragrance from Escada. Just a bit less sweet. I don't like it. But if you love synthetic, cheap fragrances - this will be the right choice for you. :P

I really like this! It’s sweet and fruity and fresh. I don’t know if anyone will know what I mean but if reminds me of the pink lotion they put on your hands at the nail salon lol! So whenever I smell this I think of a nail salon.

yes at least dralingnikki understands me. Tropical punch, Ibiza hippie, Rockin Rio, Pacific Paradise were some of my favs that they NEED to bring back. Mainly Tropical punch and Ibiza Hippie. Those were real escada fruity OG'S.

This smells like melted gummy bears. It’s your typical Escada syrupy summer fragrance. If you like this kind of scent, you will love Summer Festival. To me it is a bit too synthetic.

initial smell was promising with a strong synthetic cherry blossom & mandarin smell, but it goes away really quick. Try again next year..

I find this better and more cherry smelling than the hyped Cherry In The Air. It is still not something Id ever purchase fullsize of.
