Flor del Sol

I love the Escada Summer Limited editions! My favorite is Agua Del Sol. I saw this one at Marshall's when my brother (who is technically my adopted son) and I went shopping weeks ago. It was sealed and hanging out in the glass case with a few others. It was near closing and the lady with the key took forever to come over. She allowed me to open the plastic and test the scent. He and I both gave it a quick sniff. It was a summer block party complete with hanging fairy lights, laughter, heat pouring off the summer baked city asphalt, and just enough drinks to make everything more fun! It was almost intoxicating! I wanted it but since the store was closing, and I am running out of room for more perfume, I was unsure. Just a few days ago, he ran out to pick up some items at the store and I asked him to go back and check to see if it was still there. He called me and said the manager with the key had left, but that there was one left in the glass case. I was almost crushed, honestly! I had my heart set on him going to rescue it from retail oblivion so I could give it a nice new home! What can I say, I hadn't stopped thinking about that enchanting block party in a bottle! He called again, and I picked out two other cheapies from Ross to soften the blow of missing out on " the now alone, without its friends party in a bottle." "What if someone else got to the store first and bought it," I lamented to myself. When he arrived home, he handed me the purchases I had asked for. I opened a few bags and, inside one, was another bag ... "Oh my, what was that hiding in a Marshall's bag in the bottom of the Ross one?" What a surprise! He laughed as I pulled it out and giggled with glee. "I thought the manager with the key was gone," I stammered happily. "She was, then she came back," he said between happy "I surprised you" peels of laughter. I was so excited, I almost overlooked a very cute detail; the plastic was torn. It was the exact bottle I had asked to sniff and we opened almost a month ago! It had waited for me to bring it home after all :) I love you my new party in a bottle friend, you may just become my new favorite ESCADA! Block party in a bottle!

I bought this blind from Chemist Warehouse because it was only 30$ and in Australia that’s basically free. Over the years of online perfumehood I’ve realised I really do love frooties as much as I love everything else. I’m humbled. It could be 300$. It smells overthetop gorgeous, has a fabulous trajectory, lasts 3-4 hours, as much or more than plenty of the 300$s. There’s something delightfully strange about it. I’m trying to empty blah decants atm. I really hate Chanel Cuir de Russie it smells like toilet bowl to me and yes it’s probably my old nose being over sensitive to civetone. Or whatever it is that smells like that. I reckon I could create the next hit from the combination of skanky old manure leather and bright abstract fruit the same as that combination I sprayed over. It was a pure accident as I was simply trying to drown C d R out. I’m eyeing a decant of TFds Ombré Leather. I’m going to fill it up with F d Sol and let it macerate as I’ve found on the rare occasions that I experiment with layering that is the only way to do it. Anyway another hot summer Ibiza hit from this line and to me it’s the best one yet, even moreso than the watermelon one...

Flor del Sol has quite the unexpected hold on me. It opens with a photorealistic grenadine and tequila, I could smell each of them equally. Intensely boozy with the addition of something foodie-piquant like chilli pepper, this was unusual and captivating. I found the opening addictive. It began to soften, I guess that's the fantasy-note of dahlia, and I loved it still. I couldn't detect sandalwood but the fragrance gradually became so smooth that all of its interesting facets disappeared. I was left with artificiality: precisely gummy bears and watermelon gummies. That's all it amounted to, after such promise?! Thoroughly disappointed, I passed the fragrance on. And here's the interesting thing: now, I can't get it out of my mind. I need to re-purchase it. So, I guess I find Flor del Sol pretty captivating indeed!

I picked up this beauty because I want and crave a GOOD strong cherry scent. Listen, no one has one. BUT this tries, and really the grenadine and the tequila with that sandalwood it's a great attempt. While this is only an EDT it gets off the ground but it doesn't get very far. Maybe 4 hours longevity. But it wears great on clothing. I had a lady actually FOLLOW me and go "you smell amazing, I could smell you all over that isle and WOW" which was a great compliment seeing as I didn't go heavy handed on the spray, and I could barely smell her on me. SO Del Sol is an attention grabber. Very fragrant in warmer temps, but I see this playing in the cold weather. Keep her around in the fall just to try. Very much worth the grab if you find her cheap like I did at TJMAXX.

Truth be told, I have never smelled an unpleasant Escada fragrance. Flor Del Sol is no exception. The opening is a Shirley Temple beverage on steroids. The addition of the Tequilla and the Orange do indeed give this sort of a 'Tequila Sunrise Cocktail scent. It is my understanding that the bloom of a Dahlia flower has no scent. It is the actual stem and leaves that are used which gives a slightly bitter scent that is detectable here. The sandalwood gives it a nice creamy warm finish. Overall, nothing really complex here. It's a happy little scent that stays close to the skin. In terms of blind buying, I would say this would be a safe one if you like fruity floral types of fragrances.

The initial blast is so lovely and fruity. Like sugared strawberry mousse. I think it is common with other summery Escada releases, a trend that started with Sexy Graffiti. It is incredible, the opening. Looking at the notes it feels nothing like it. But maybe grenadine with orange without any bitter tones. Hard to imagine anything better for holiday. But now, in spring it truly works I am yet to wear it in the summer. It is a great surprise, good that I secured a small bottle. Uplifting, invigorating, free time blend. Sweet. 5 hours in and it does not change just has less strength. I feel the ghost of it on my skin next morning. Just a wrist test.

So far this is my favorite Escada! So favorite that I bought two 1oz back up bottles. It just smells so nice! Kinda fresh cucumbery on a first spray. But the dry down is something special. I sprayed some before going to water park. When we got there and went on about our day, I kept getting a whiff of something. At first I could not understand where this amazing smell was coming from, it took me a sec to realize it was Flor del Sol! It in a strange way was reminding my favorite KKW BFF! Very very lightly though! I do not know why it is called Flor/flower. Couple minutes ago I had "Sexy Graffity" delivered, it is flowery. Flor del sol is fresh.

Smells very fruity to me - specifically, like watermelon. This then fades to a soft woody floral, a bit indistinct but really very nice. The key thing I would note is its longevity, which was many hours. I bought a roller-ball (7.4ml) and was surprised to note around 3pm that I could still smell the perfume clearly and quite strongly on my wrist, having applied once around 8am. I often find that fragrances last long on me that others criticise for being fleeting (and vice versa); or the key may be using a roller-ball. Either way, definitely recommended if you tend to enjoy any of the Escada summer releases.

Very Sexy Graffitti, Ibiza Hippie in style. The most iconic Escada's limited editions that started the craze. The limited editions for summer do not differ much in general with the exception of Cherry In the Air. I feel strawberries on top. A bit of grenadine minus its bitterness. It feels heavily fruity-aquatic. Super summery but is great also in the spring. Fruity pulp with heart and soul. Used globally I do not feel it for a long time but on my wrists it stays very well. It stays long on clothes and smells very good on them.

~Swee Orange, Fruity Pomegranate, Delicate Dahlia In typical Escada fashion, this is another sweet and fruity cocktail type of fragrance. Don't be fooled, the boozy notes are nowhere to be found here. Pomegranate dominates the fragrance with a sweet orange/citrus and a beautiful soft floral I absolutely love this one, the notes blend very well! Silage is Moderate Longevity is 3-4 Hours

I really like this for a fun, fruity, yummy scent. Perfect for the summertime running errands, shopping, school, or work. The other day I spritzed this on my shirt & the next day I was tossing it in the hamper when I instantly got a whiff of a beautiful scent & I thought where did that come from? I sniffed my top & it was this perfume! It has great longevity!

So fruity, sweet, floral, and clean. I get the cocktail vibe they were going for, it's definitely what it's giving. The sandalwood note in the dry down is so lovely, it keeps it lasting longer than you'd expect. If you find this at any tj Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington, or Ross, PLEASE GET IT! If you enjoy fruity, cocktail like scents, this is for you!

It smells like cabo san lucas. Boozy, citrusy, floral. I tried it on at ulta 10 days ago & since then I haven't stopped thinking about it. It's not sharp nor powdery. Sweet but not super sweet. Its got a really heady scent note in the opening ( tequila sunrise?) That is delish ! The floral note is is very nice. Very refreshing & fun

I love that it’s meant to smell like a mixed drink and it brought me back to my younger days at the clubs. It’s so sickly sweet but has that alcoholic tartness or edge? To bring it back from being a fragrance for the younger audiences. I’m on my 2nd bottle. I just love this so much for summer and going out with my friends.

To me, this scent smells like the perfect, most magical spring romance. Just imagine taking a walk on a warm evening in late spring, smelling beautiful flowers with the love of your life. That's this scent, baby. Remember the Dahlia garden chapter from Cannery Row? This scent captures it all. Pure bliss. Peace!

This is my first perfume I’ve bought as a young adult, I blind bought this on sale. It slightly smells like Mexican candy de tamarindo or specifically “rellerindos” but the sweetness also reminds me of something from Victoria secret but with more longevity. Perfect for warmer days.

I cant find escadas taj sunset anywhere,but im happy because this smells kind Of similar to my nose it has the same delicious fruit punch smell Dancing on the beach with a glass of tequila or something That is what comes to mind when i smell this delicious scent !

Not so sweet as other Summer Escadas. The composition is fairly simple. I don’t know what dahlia smell like, but this perfume really has something lush about it. It smells like a beautiful flower that just bloomed and has morning dew on it.

i have been searching long and hard for a GOOD tropical scent. this is it. smells like a tropical drink at a resort and is srsly divine if you pair it with a coconut or oceanic body mist. love love love

Lovely fragance, fruity and very sweet, but in a very nice way. I find it very very similar to Dylan Blue, a bit fresher and watery, To me it smells mostly of black currant. I find it adorable.

This is just how I remember Escada! I had so many of them back in the day. This one is both so fruity and fresh, like a cold umbrella cocktail during the summer. Absolutely love it <3

I bought this last summer and I love it! Fruity and fresh. It lasts for over 6 hours on my skin. It's a easy grab in the summer. It's one of my favorite summer scents.

A powerful fruit punch. Very pleasing and addicting. I don’t get any wood or booze. Something vanilla-like lounges in the bottom that makes my eyes roll back.

PS. I figured out what this smells like... if you've been to cabo wabo in cabo san Lucas.... it smells like their "I can't drive 55" adult beverage

literally smells like watermelon. i have a bad habit of overspraying this but its so nice. received compliments before from this as well!!

This is a delightful perfume. Juicy, summery, but not cloying. An easy compliment getter!

I must confess that even though I am an elder millennial that is almost 40, I still have a love for Escada and their fruity tropical scents. Usually as you get older you stop wearing the fruity fragrances because there is a weird stigma that it is for younger girls, well this middle aged lady says wear the fruity smells if it makes you happy! In the early 2000s I ALWAYS had Escada perfumes, and my top faves were Sunset Heat, Taj Sunset, Ibiza Hippie, and Rockin Rio. I would honestly be so thrilled if Escada would bring these back some day. I long for those scents, and the sweet memories that are tied to them. It makes me think of bright sunny days at the beach or pool, parties with friends, and just being young and carefree. I recently ordered a few of Escada's current limited edition perfumes to see if they are still as good, and I actually really like this one! It is not quite as good as my old faves, but I would say this is really close. It is very fruity, fresh and floral. Unfortunately, the longevity isn't great. I only could smell it on my skin for about 3 hours. I could smell it on my clothes a little longer though, so I think the trick is hitting the skin and your clothes so it lasts a little longer! All in all, this was a good buy for the summer ☀️

Oh dear, I am a sucker for the Escada summer scents ever since Tropical Punch came out. And honestly, TP remains high up there, on its solitary pedestal against a deep blue exotic sky. Then again, having most summer scents since on my shelves, one knows one cannot really go wrong with the successive issues of the summer editions. Some are heavier on pineapple, others on mango, or still on any other tropical fruit, but they all basically just play on different degrees of juicy sweetness. To the level that, with each summer coming and going, the combination options have been increasingly tried and tested, and they become harder to distinguish one from the other. This equally goes for Flor del Sol. A grenadine packed sweet bomb with enough tequila and sandal to avoid it being a cloying sticky syrup. The use of dahlia, moreover, brings an interesting slightly mossy bitter twist to it. Obviously a summer scent, but I also like to wear it winter, just to bring some summer and holiday feelz in da house, especially now in corona lockdown times. Never a let down, the Escada summer scents. You know what you'll get and that is reassuring, albeit not a mind blower. As such, Flor del Sol is not surprising but still a very worthy scent in the series.

Oh dear, this is so very drunken. I was hoping that booziness would not be pronounced as some reviewers complained about the missing boozy tones. Based on that, I hoped it would be the flavours of fruity cocktails more than the inebriant. But no, it’s right there, front and centre. I did not expect it to be so literal. I almost feel like I’m getting tipsy from the fumes. This is unfortunate because I’m a teetotaller (if that’s still a word) and maybe even a Prohibitionist at heart. I just wanted another Escada summer edition because I enjoy Santorini Sunrise. I’m not sure I can handle this. Shouldn’t this be a violation of consumer rights that they don’t have testers and then refuse to take it back if it’s been opened? If you like to reek of booze even when you are not drinking, this one is for you! 😬 Update: although most people think it’s best for summer, I began to enjoy it when it’s grown cold. I like the flavoured smell on my clothes the next day (which lasts for days, too). After the alcoholic aspect which makes me uncomfortable goes away, it’s what I wanted it to be - delightful fruity wafts. I felt melon and strawberry when I sprayed it just now.

Back in the day I would buy new Escada fragrances for a couple of years in a row. They were fun and I felt like it set the mood for the summer to come. The colourful packaging and the fruity juice inside just scream summer. Sometimes that's just what you need. Summer fun in a bottle. You're not trying to impress anyone, you are simply having fun. This is a colourful bikini by the pool or beach, short denim skirt and fruit cocktails. Tan skin and bright orange nails. I might be tempted to pick this up, if it wasn't for the fact that it really reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana's L'imperatrice 3 and I already own that. There is no rhubarb note listed in Flor de Sol but I definitely smell something similar. To my nose Flor de Sol is slightly "darker" than L'imperatrice, which is very sparkly. Sadly the projection on both isn't that good but spraying on clothes helps them to last pretty long. If you don't mind taking the bottle with you to the pool or beach and top up throughout the day, then this is a gem. A summer gem.

This is a fruit punch. Nothing tropical, nothing too complex, just straight up happy red fruits. On first spray, it's pure juicy grenadine, and this then settles into a lingering smell of dry, warm florals-it reminds me of flowers drying in the hot sun. This warm, sun-dried smell lingers for ages, especially when sprayed on clothes. I could still smell it a day after. I wish the juicy fruit lasted longer, I'd prefer it a bit more juicy to make it more refreshing. There's nothing boozy or orangey in here that I can detect. It's definitely not a winter fragrance, I'm excited to use it during spring and summer and see how I like it then. Also, it's nothing like l'imperatrice, that one much tarter and more "sparkling". It's similar to Dylan blue but that stays fruity and "shampooey" throughout.

So this was a blind buy for something completely out of the usual for what I like. BUT, I’m glad I got it! The sillage is pretty poor but on me it stays a slim scent and hangs around for about 6-8 hours, with better lingering on clothes. It opens with the orange, alcohol, and grenadine as a sharp, sweet smell and then quickly fades. Then it lingers as a fruity/floral sandalwood close to the skin. It’s nice, inoffensive, and light for warmer days. Nothing phenomenal but a great price for a good, sweet smell! Edit: The longer you have this the sweeter and more syrupy it becomes. For me it smells like a really expensive fruity mixed drink now and is a bit strong. Wears beautifully in high heat.

Mango tango, despite not having any mango in it. Mango from start to finish - I didn't even realise it was supposed to smell like some cocktail until I searched it here. Flor de Sol is nice when you want to break away from those complex, heavy-hitter scents. Surprisingly, the scent didn't really change even though my skin tends to make everything turn bitter. That's a win to me! Pretty generic overall and smells like it belongs in Victoria's Secret body mists, but if teenagers wore this instead of Ariana Grande's garbage Cloud, the world would be a better place.

To me it smells very juicy and fruity but i can’t pinpoint the individual notes. The tequila note makes it smell kinda alcoholic but in a way that reminds me of the bath and body works hand sanitizers with like 75% alcohol content and a lot of perfume, it’s not a cocktail drink scent to me. It’s definitely a summery, unserious and non-invasive perfume. I’ll also mention the bottle, i really like the sleek, simple yet eye-catching bottles of all the limited edition escadas. The 100ml bottles are the most aesthetically pleasing to me 😅

Oh this is nice! Don’t expect any booziness, it is pure marketing. Escadas limited editions for summer are nice, nothing extraordinary, BUT they open up in full when the temperature outside is higher than 25C. Bear in mind that otherwise, it is a normal fruity coctail, but so addictive in warmth. I would not pay a retail price for this one, but would be happy to grab a bottle at a discounter. My favorite so far is Sexy Graffity with strawberries which I finished 2 bottles of.

Wow, it's exactly how I imagined it to be :D Smells extremely juicy, refreshing, and summery, like a watermelon raspberry cocktail! I love it so much! I've been looking for exactly this kind of perfume for a while. I also find this very versatile, I think it's more day time scent for sure but I can also easily imagine to wear this to night club or late night summer parties. Such a mood booster too, this is what "happy" smells like to me

Boozy smelling, in a fun vibrant way. I had it for a long time and it wasn't a big hit for me because I don't love smelling boozy and fruity isn't my favorite scent profile. Turns out, I just hadn't worn it for the right experiences. I've really enjoyed wearing this going out for dinner, or holiday parties. It pairs well with being around groups of people and celebrating.

This smells like gummy bears with a hint of cocktail. Basic and generic, but smells good. It’s a happy scent, and projects well for the first 30 minutes. The ad is really cute, i love the drawings, but i think they spent more time planning the ad than developing the perfume and the bottle. If you like Escada‘s summer scents you will probably like this. Final note: 6/10

Yeezus! This one goes right for my olfactory jugular with a one-two punch! I haven't been this impressed by Escada since the original Ibiza Hippie dropped back in the day! This stuff is mega-powerful, at least coming from a single swipe from a rollerball that I bought from Ulta. Whew, this is one zesty little senorita! ;)

Hot summer nights. There is some bitterness that reminds me of sweat but not in a bad way, it doesn't smells like BO at all, but I picture a girl who partied all night yet still smells good idk it's sexy to me It pairs very well with coconut notes Also the longevity is surprisingly good on clothes

The best way to describe this perfume is refreshing. It's like a nice cocktail on your skin. Creates a cute little scent bubble for a few hours. You would think the tequila note would be odd, but it brings a little razzle dazzle. Easy blind buy.

Very similar to Marine Groove or sexy Graffiti - both which I already own. Plus I can smell clearly Ananas 🍍 which I really dislike in perfumes. So I'm gifting this to my sis

Nice summer fragrance. It does smell like tequila and floral fruity. It is a perfume for Cinco De Mayo. Not bad for a Ross bargain perfume.

It's not bad. It's fruit punch + a flower shop. It's not my style and I should have tested before buying.

Smells delicious! And like others are posting, its gone in 2 hours :(
