Que Viva Escada

I have a small mini, and just found a great 1.7 on ebay! What has stopped me from reacquiring a full bottle of is is the lasting power of this great perfume. The opening is rather like a 'boozy' shot, ( yes Vodka, but with lemon added). That is very quick and then gets spicy, fresh and woody. I am going to layer this with some of the Azzaro pure vetiver, and even the Escada Silver and see what happens. More later. Okay must reccomend the addition of Escada Silver, makes this a crisp clean unisex refresher.

I bought the body lotion of this in 1997 on the way to my friends wedding as I was a bridesmaid. It was a scorching hot July day and the projection of the lotion was fantastic and intense, scent went on for hours. This was a deep, tropical fruity smell. Interesting and complex. I regret not buying the fragrance. Can't believe a lotion could be as strong as the EDT or EDP. I would love for this to be brought back. I have Born In Paradise now which vanishes after about an hour.

Romantic, delicious, blissful fragrance. A true jewel and one of my favorites. I wish they brought it back...

Opens on a sharp alcohol note and quickly dries down to a mixture of fruits and musk. Average to poor sillage and lasting power. None of the notes are personal favorites, but QV still manages to be wearable. QV is pretty unisex because it doesn't have overtly feminine or masculine notes. Safe for work and play, the scent is unlikely to offend anyone. QV is a nice, uncomplicated scent. It's a cheapie, but thankfully without the nasty chemical notes many inexpensive frags have.

Got this from a friend in the nineties twice. Did not like Escada fashion at all, too old-fashioned and glary and Dinasty but this fragrance I liked, very fruity but intense, classic, bit exotic, not too overpowering.

01. may 2011 First impression i get from this fragrance is that something is rotten here! Sweet fruits that are gone bad and rotten. I guess i just don ́t like a passionfruit note. Looking at the notes it is a strange combination to me: pineapple and apple??? The top notes are overly sweet and the drydown is all about passion fruit. Another Escada seasonal fragrance "Rockin Rio" that was released later smells almost the same to me actually. Very onesided fragrance, Escada had better seasonal fragrances which i prefer more, so i guess my 100ml will last me a lifetime. Not bad but not the best also. Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks.

There is a note in here that doesn't smell good to me, smells like Dali's Laguna which I have and don't like so much. So I'm comparing notes and I see both have pineapple. Surprises me that this must be the note. It has, as does the Laguna, a Eucalyptus smell to my nose which I just can't tolerate...My nose mustn't process pinapple well?
