Santorini Sunrise

This is like the sophisticated older sister of Cherry in Japan, with a fresher twist. This fragrance has quickly become my absolute go-to this summer. It exudes a delightful combination of freshness and sweetness, with a hint of citrus and a touch of fruity notes. While it boasts floral and white floral accords, it doesn't lean heavily into the floral category. One thing to note is that its longevity is not the longest, but its projection is simply amazing. A little spritz goes a long way, enveloping me in a captivating aura that lingers in the air. It has effortlessly captured the essence of a sun-kissed morning on the Greek island, evoking a sense of joy and vivacity. For me, this fragrance embodies the perfect balance between freshness and sweetness, making it an ideal companion during the summer months. It's a scent that perfectly complements the warmth of the season and adds a touch of allure to any occasion.

I had the chance to test this out the other day when I was working at Ulta. They had a tester bottle in the back room (apparently it doesn't launch until next week) and it is a beauty! I liken it to Island Kiss, although this is in my opinion even better because it actually lasts longer and I could still smell it later on that evening. I also get whiffs of blueberry and it almost resembles Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy as well. I am so going to purchase this on Monday! It should be available then hopefully!

One of my favourite Escada Summer scents! I bought one for myself and fell immediately in love! And I bought another one for my perfume friend and she simply got hooked - it was her first time to try Escada scents. It’s summer in Australia and this scent last on me hours but not overwhelming. It is fruity and brings you directly to the seaside holiday with a few sprays. Mood lifting, pleasant, feminine, even with a hint of elegance. As some reviewers say: please wear this in a sunny day in SUMMER.

This is so bright and yet fruity. Personally I feel it smells consistent and I do not experience a dry down. The sorbet, bergamot, and a floral note that reminds me faintly of peonies. Perhaps it is the jasmine and bougainvillea together. I found this at Ross in a 1.7 oz and it became a going out fragrance. It's bold and bright and works well with my energy. I ended up buying a larger 3.3 oz at TJ Maxx. I feel this could be almost unisex.

This is one of best Escada fragrances thats been made in a long time, imo. Amazing summer scent. This performs quite nicely on the skin. Bright, crisp and juicy. When it dries down, little pepperiness comes through with jasmine alongside. Delightful scent overall! Had to order bigger bottle. This is unusual for me, for what comes to Escada fragrances, that i like it so much.💕

I tested this at Ulta and loved it! Its like a rich powdery coconut fruity drink scent! I sprayed this on my blouse and lasted all day! I did not test it on my skin, I never wear fragrance on skin. I bought this online at Ulta, right now they're gifting 4 ysl minis with a $65 purchase! Now is the time to maximize your purchase if you want to get this!

Reviewers are complaining that the scent is ephemeral. This is not my experience at all. It is strong, and I can even smell it on my clothes the next day. I was captivated by it right away when I tried it. As far as I'm concerned, the quality is better than its modest price (at Chemist Warehouse in Australia). It's uplifting and opens my heart.

This one feels a bit too fresh for my taste, I usually prefer sweeter perfumes in the summer. It smells almost like a tart tangerine, which is nice, and the sorbet note adds a lovely, creamy touch. Overall, it’s like sipping a refreshing fruit juice that instantly takes me back to sunny summers in Greece.

I get sweet, tangy candy from this one. It’s a phenomenal citrus scent with low longevity, but worth the purchase if you’re into light yet nuanced fragrances. Not a safe blind buy due to the earthy notes. Occasion: Daytime summer/spring Sillage: Moderate Longevity: 4 hours

I have had the opposite experience with this perfume than most reviewers. It lasts on my skin and the scent is so uplifting in my opinion. It’s a Summer scent for sure but I I’m tired of wearing heavy winter scents. I’m so glad to have this in my collection.

I enjoyed this scent more than anyother Escada scent except of Magnetism. It has something more than other Escada scents. However it only lasts 30 minutes on my skin which makes its price outrageous. Id pay max 20 euros for for this.

My boyfriend bought me this as a present, since he knew I love fruity scents. I personally wouldn't have bought it myself, but I must say I do like it! I'm not a citrusy lover, but in this case I do like the sweet tangerine scent.

This is really lovely! It is not too sweet and sickly fruity as there is a tartness about it. It reminds me of Agua Mistica by Sol de Janeiro which also has a tartness. It is very refreshing and makes me long for summer.

My ears are always perked up for Escada’s limited edition releases, my last additions were Sorbetto Rosso and Candy Love. Santorini Sunrise is sweet and tart with an earthy vibe that makes it more “Grown Up”

It smells super fruity and just reminds me of the Greek Islands. Truly a sorbet citrusy beautiful scent to own.

This is cute. I wouldn't buy this for myself, but I would buy this for someone younger than I am. Like one of my nieces. When I first smelled this, I was quickly taken back to my childhood. My Grandmother used to make a punch on holidays that smelled exactly like this perfume I should buy it just for nostalgia's sake and who knows I just might. When she brought out the punch in the punch bowl, she always added a huge chunk of orange sherbet to it. I smell the sherbet, and the fizzy pop of carbonated punch. Sweet, summery and fun. This would be easy to wear on hot summer days. Lord knows I don't need another perfume, but it is tickling my nostalgia bone. Grandma's holiday punch.

I really like this. It hits that perfect sweet spot of both fresh and sweet. Longevity is fine for an eau de toilette. Lasts about 3 to 4 hours and becomes a skin scent after. I can smell it on my clothes the next day too. Some people smell coconut in this, but I honestly think it's the creaminess of the sorbet note. Besides it's a fragrance with the type of notes you would expect to be combined with coconut so maybe that's the reason. I think it's a perfect vacation scent, especially for a fun night out by the sea so I would recommend it☺️

The sorbet note here smells kind’a artificial to my nose, it’s like a supermarket “juice” with sweet mandarin chemical aroma, frozen and then shredded. Despite of this fact, this is a nice warm time scent and escada knows how to make pleasant summer perfumes that so many people like. This is quite juicy, sweet-fresh, not overwhelming. The floral note is there too, though I am not distinguishing anything specific known to me so far. A nice addition to carefree summer mood or any time you’d like to experience something fresh.

This is an easy grab in the high HIGH heat. Where I live its 100+ degrees in mid June and its hard for a fragrance to withstand such intense heat. This actually sits well on my skin in extreme heat! I appreciate the peppery notes with the fruity citruses. I love layering this with my sunscreen when I sit out by the pool, or pairing this with a white floral to add a bit more elegance. Great addition to my summer scent tray!

Delicious and refreshing. Intense mandarin/citrus sorbet with something that reminds me of passionfruit and coconut mixed, like a summer drink. The jasmine is not too intense. I don't think Bougainvillea flowers have any smell. At least the plants I had in the past, never had a floral smell, so I guess it is a fantasy note, to go with the image and theme of the scent. I like this a lot, very uplifting and feminine.

Super fruity and citrusy scent. A little generic and not super original but it’s a very pleasant fragrance. Performance is average. A pretty average perfume overall. I hate the bottle, I knock it over all the time. It’s one of my first full bottle purchases but I’ve found other scents that are similar and either perform better or are more unique. I would recommend it if you can get it discounted. Overall 6.5/10

This is the perfect inexpensive segway into experimenting with a bright, tropical, fruity, and spicy Summer perfume. I would try this if you are wanting to experiment with very sweet and bright accords. If you don't like this then stay away from most fruit-related or candy-like accord based perfumes. Otherwise the complex powdery pineapple scent is perfect for a beach bag addition or an on-the-go trip.

This is a nice tropical scent but it doesnt, omg, WOW me. If someone bought it, I may wear it. I would recommend others to sample. It doesn't pack a punch though. Its like a watered down Hawaiian punch with a fruit garnish. This would be lovely for a super young lady who is just being introduced to perfume. This sits very close to the skin. I love sweet but I want something bada BING....bada BOOM!

Simple and pleasant. Kind of smells like a room spray moreso than a perfume. I do pick up on the "sorbet" notes, and it has a softness to it that alternates between sweet and sour. It's a nice one for the price. Not unique, so if you're looking for something that stands out you might want to pass on this one. But if you don't care about rarity and just want to smell summery and good, go for it.

I'm super shocked that coconut isn't listed as one of the notes here. My nose detects a very strong coconut in this fragrance. It's definitely a warm weather/summertime vibe. It smells exactly like Bath and Body Works Mediterranean Waters to me.

Blind buy. Familiar with Escada summer fragrances but haven't felt need to get since imho quite similar to each other. From this I first get the familiar sweet spritz but unfortunately turned so quickly into an earthy liquor I'm not a fan of.

Syrupy juicy fruity drink. Kind of reminds me of the sweetness of Rihanna's Nude however that one is a guava sweet floral and this is a mandarin syrupy cocktail with a flower on the rim. Nice and sweet and long lasting in the heat.

That smells really familiar! I think I had something similar to that when I was a teen. It’s a blend of synthetic tropical fruits with some musky and shampoo-y undertones. It’s quite sweet and fruity. Not a bad one tbh!

This is a happy perfume for happy times and happy people! It's sweet and uplifting! The dominant sorbet note is nice and not too sticky. I think this is a great perfume for a teenager or a young spirited person.

If this wasn’t going to get discontinued I would pick a bottle. Smells like papaya ice cream 🍦 ideal as a summer treat. Doesn’t last long, but I think that’s the story for all the summer releases of Escada.

The opening is DELIGHTFUL but as per usual with Escada fragrances, it loses its charm as it dries down. You quickly lose that mouthwatering, sparkly fruity quality and it turns stale, but in a quiet way

Santorini Sunrise smelled wonderful when I first sprayed it but I didn't enjoy its development and the synthetic mid and base notes. It seemed quite weak and boring, and it lasted for a very short time.

This smells like melted sorbet and it's truly a refreshing summer scent. Lasts about as long as a body spray but it's a nice easy reach when the weather calls for something light and breezy.

This smells almost exactly like a tart tangerine! And the sorbet note is really lovely! It’s just like a fruit juice and reminds me of a summer in Greece.

Young fresh fruity girly scent. Great for spring/summer. Doesn't last long. I have to respray, a LOT. Because of low longevity, I won't repurchase.

No lasting power. Max is 1 hour. Very pretty scent. If you just applied, the scent does fill the room. It just doesn't last long once you leave.

27. December 2022 I have tested this fragrance several times already and i am not fully decided about it yet. I really do not like the opening, yet i like middle stage quite a lot. When you first apply it on it smells too much of a marshmallow (which is probably the sorbet note in description). It does not say what kind of sorbet but you know that sort of creamy airy vanilla note which they call nowadays sorbet, to make it more appealing, i guess. So when i smelled that i was really disappointing at first. But then the bergamote and jasmine came through and it smelled bitter, zesty, yet nicely creamy at the same time. A very weird but yet enjoyable combo. I do not know how that flower smells like, i cannot even spell its name. Maybe that is the flower, that gives this perfume nice accord. I do not smell any of the earthy notes whatever it might mean. I am happy about projection it is loud enough and noticeable, also lasting power is quite amazing and lasts the whole day! But overall do i feel crazy about it like i did about other previous Escada limited editions - the answer is no, but it is definitely a very pleasant scent. P.s. i read from one review, that it has a smell of figue and i agree, it does actually reminds me in overall a figue smell, as we know it in perfumes. It does not smells like Island Kiss (which i have both original and re-release and can actually compare to). Neither it smells like Midnight Fantasy.

I would never buy it if I could test it first. I loved Tropical Punch and there were a few summer Escadas I liked after that, like Rock'in'Rio or Pacific Paradise. I always hope they create something like Tropical Punch again and few reviews made me hope. Unfortunately it's similar in spirit to many newest edition I don't like and nothing like old times Escadas. And it's not that I'm to old for those Summer limited now - I bought Rock'in'Rio in vintage bottle last year and I enjoyed it. If you didn't like the two before Santorini, you can as well skip that one in my opinion. Also I still can't get over bottle design change 😁 The lasting power on me is good enough.

I almost blind bought this but I'm happy I didn't. Instead I decided to try this on the back of my hand today, just a single spritz. For the first 6 hours of testing this all I got from this perfume was a pungent mandarin orange. I couldn't smell any of the other notes at all! Just pure mandarin orange on me. It's so strong that even after a shower and ten hours passing by I still smell the mandarin orange on me. It has now been joined by the jasmine and pink pepper. Thankfully the fragrance is a lot more balanced now. The strong mandarin orange opening lasting for so long has honestly put me off this fragrance.

Smells similar to Anna Sui Fantasia Mermaid, but without the depth and complexity (or lasting power) that makes that perfume so beautiful. On me, Santorini Sunrise leans very, very mandarin or navel orange-- not an orange from the grocery store, but from the garden, with a pleasant sort of sharpness from the sorbet and pepper. I like this perfume, but it is very, very weak, and somewhat generic and synthetic. I sprayed this as a tester on my wrist and in the amount of time it took me to finish shopping (maybe 30 mins) it was already gone. Would not recommend getting this.

Smells slightly fresh like a gentle breeze of wind. It's somewhat sweet and juicy. Like tropical punch juice. The notes listed in here I can't really pick up on at all. I buy a lot of citrus fragrances and this is definitely not sour citrus. I also maybe think it slightly smells like lotus flower even though it is not listed as one of the notes but only so upon opening. It's an okay blind buy if you want something juicy and somewhat sweet. pricepoint is okay. Nothing unique.

I don’t know who said it smells like mandarin sorbet, but to me, it doesn’t smell like that at all—and I love mandarins. From the moment I took it out of the box, it smelled very sweet and quite synthetic. It’s sweet, yes, but not at all citrusy. I think people get too influenced by perfume descriptions, but this one doesn’t smell like mandarin sorbet. I didn’t like it at all. :( By the way, I bought it on FragranceNet. Could it be fake?

Very sweet. At first it is a mix between the smell of a body cream and something sweet but not citrusy or fresh for me, afterwards it stays close to the skin and maintains the sweetness but loses that body cream smell I wouldn't use it in summer because the sweetness at the beginning can make you uncomfortable. The sweet smell is fruity, but synthetic and generic, nothing remarkable or different.

Bright, juicy, fruit juice vibes. Kinda juvenile, but an uplifting fragrance nonetheless. If you're a fan of candy sweet scents, maybe you'd like. Just not MY cup of tea. It only projects for about an hour and I don't detect the "earthy" or "white floral" accords. If they were more prominent it would make this a more well rounded fruity floral.
