Un Ete En Provence

Yummy! This is juicy; sooo juicy it's intoxicating. Opens with a fresh bunch of red raspberries and cherries, but it is not saccharine; soft floral notes balance this delicious concoction in a surprising way. I love spraying this in the summer, on hot humid days and getting a whiff of it under my shirt when I go about my day. The opening notes remind me of Givenchy's Hot Couture with its yummy raspberry MINUS the smoky dark undertone. As other reviewers mentioned, it is not super long lasting, and it's likely to be inoffensive due to its weak silage. It is feminine, playful, and sophisticated. What a lovely gem! The dry down is the quintessential 90's Escada fragrance, with a soft muskiness, and a slightly metallic note that I also get from other contemporaries (Loving Bouquet, for example) plus deliciously soft sandal. In any case, worth a try! Very different from the summer fragrances that Escada became well known for in the Y2K era (which I also love!). This is much more subtle and balanced. Edit: after a few days wearing this, I do detect towards the end a slightly plasticky note, reminiscent of the strawberry scented dolls from the 90s... but it doesn’t bug me, maybe it’s the nostalgia!

I agree with Karenannn. This was ESCADA in its prime when they were QUALITY. I remember purchasing this back in 1994 or 1995 and was blown away by the delicious smelling scent. This could be considered as the best fruity/floral/gourmand ever as the ingredients in this are so well blended and are very high in quality. As someone mentioned , the ''buy out'' took place when the frosting on the bottles ceased to exist (i.e. 2002). This obviously signalled the change. I urge ESCADA to please bring the old school Margeritha Ley ESCADA editions back. Everyone will then realise the superiority of those editions vs the abominations that are made now.

I have been in love with the Escada summer editions for years; all time favorite has to be Ibiza Hippie (PLEASE BRING IT BACK!) followed closely by Sexy Graffiti (the new version isn't quite the same) and Pacific Paradise. This was one of the first ones and I missed out on it; however I was lucky enough to purchase two sealed minis. It smelled as lovely as I'd hoped; I was a huge fan of Red 2 and was quite disappointed when it was discontinued. A lovely scent for the summer; fruity and fresh. Definitely not a mature fragrance, but lovely all the same.

My mouth waters as I remember the notes of this delectable juice and it is just that: juice, juice so juicy, I could drink it right now, forgetting that it is perfume. Ete en Provence is a mouth watering fruit punch that I want to sip endlessly all summer in the balcony of my château in Aix en Provence overlooking a field of French Lavender swaying softly in the Mediterranean breeze.

This was one of the most wonderful scents I ever had...and I remember how shocked I was when I learned that it was really just available one summer long...my great 1994 love!!!
