Escentric 01

This perfume is totally intriguing and my experience of it is as elusive as the scent itself. I was put into it by a lovely Mecca employee( shout out Victoria!) who suggested it for me after I told her how I loved Milky perfumes! I Have to laugh at that I think she was trying to expand my horizons. She gave me a sample of this perfume even though I didn’t ask for it . On a random day I sprayed it on to bed I smelt the bright peppery citrusy opening along with a sort of Metallic or futuristic note. Off to bed. Nothing reported. That weekend my sheets came super floral And beautiful smelling out of the laundry and dryer I couldn’t understand why. The same with my morning robe which I wore when spraying the fragrance at my wrists. I looked For the origin of the beautiful scent but was at loss. Another day I tried it for work, may have over done it as all I smelt was peppercorn and plastic for most of the day then 3rd try I sprayed and 5 minutes later hopped into the car for an appointment . Parked and when I came Back to the car shortly after I was immediately met with that same gorgeous scent. This time I knew !! It was eccentric and I’d done some research and found others also reported it stayed in their clothes sometimes after 12 washes. Another try and I smelt absolutely nothing . Another try and I became sure of the iris and pink pepper citrus Notes . Another try I coughed but smelt nothing. Another try I wore it to Bed again and this time my sheets throughout the night smelt amazing. The other day I sprayed it before Pilates and it smelt amazing as I was walking back after class I wondered who Or what smelt so Good like a whisper following me - I thought it might be a bakery or gift store or yoghurt store nearby - something sweet maybe a little floral light bright but as I kept walking I realised the smell was staying with me even as I kept passing the various suspects - it had to be me!! I love the warmth that is inside iso super and I enjoy the pepper sharp accords on a woman they are refreshing and f*n* sexy - bad ass!! I love to be the sweetnes alongside it or whatever suits me to be alongside it . I’ve tried layering but I don’t favour it , this is like a sexy sheer white shirt or cotton bed sheet its minimalism is its charm!!! It the first sample I’ve actually finished and found myself rationing so after 2 months it was a no brainer to buy a full bottle

This is fantastic. Plain and simple. I had never tried any of the Escentrics and wasn ́t that interested after reading reviews here. Some time in the spring this year while working my latest job this woman came to pick up her son. She wasn ́t very close to where I was standing at all, but I smelled her AMAZING perfume and had to ask her. Ended up being this one. She wasn ́t sure at first which one of the Escentrics - most people aren ́t like us! :-) - so when I got to know her better I asked again and she brought the bottle. This one. And I got it in June this year and luckily it works SO well for me as well! I find it utterly clean without being sanitised at all. Yes, it is quite woody and I can understand the pencil shavings comparison, but to me it is merely in the best of ways so I ́d rather call it newly cut, good quality woods. It ́s grounded by the pepper here and brightened by the fresh and icy lemon. I smell the iris right away too and I think it ́s the iris that makes it more sensual than the Molecule 1, that I also tried when buying the Escentric 1. The Molecule 1 is nice too, but this one is more sensual and more perfumey. More real, I guess. Anyway, in this one it is, maybe strangely so, kind of like with older, more classic perfumes- the notes meld together in such a good way- it ́s kind of unimportant what they are and that ́s kind of the way I like it. I smell water and woods, high quality soap and greenery and some milkiness and YET it is very fresh and bright. I don ́t find it ambery at all even though Iso E is described as having ambery properties. Well, maybe like dry amber, a bit like the amber in Stella! Yes, that ́s it. Very different from the amber in Pradas Amber or Balmain Ambre Gris- that type of amber does NOT work for me, see. Escentric doesn ́t so much change on me during a wear, but it is true with the wafts coming and going. I haven ́t met a lot of strangers since getting it, but i have met a bunch of friends and four friends that would NEVER say anything about perfumes have complimented me on it. It seems to drive people slightly nuts, it makes people happy and giddy and fascinated. I have my first day at new job on Monday and I will definitely wear this because I feel that it evokes positivity. I am VERY happy I bought this one!

I love Escentric 01! Just tried it and fell in love. Full disclosure I am an Escentric Molecules fan already and Molecule 01 is one of my favorites. I love the subtle, sexy cedar-like scent that wafts around me intermittently, and it blends so well with many other fragrances. I have read through most of the reviews here and although I believe people are entitled to their own opinions, I highly recommend you try a sample first to make sure you're not anosmic to ISO E Super - and that you like it - before forming an overall opinion. If you can't smell ISO E Super, I don't think that entitles you to downvoting or writing a bad review. That's not the fault of the perfumer. But do wait some time and give it another go because some times your olfactory nerves open up and suddenly you can smell things you couldn't before. I love the additions they gave this scent. However I think the notes listed here are wrong... I checked the Escentric Molecules website out of curiosity (not because I'm any good at identifying notes, I truly did think I was smelling iris and lemon when I read this description here) but Escentric Molecules site says it contains: "Lime peel, hedione (green jasmine bud), orris, balsamic notes, and fresh musk" As well as 65% ISO E Super Anyway this is a lovely clean woodsy cedar-like, citrus, very slightly floral and subtly musky scent. It takes just a short time to develop and like other Molecule scents, it sticks around on clothes a long time. I have full bottles of M01 and M02, and I think one day soon I'm gonna have to get full bottles of Escentrics 01 and 02. They are truly beautiful fragrances and I am in awe of Geza Schoen!

I didn’t like it at first, but now it’s my top 5 for summer. Let me tell a quick story of the first time I sprayed it. I was well aware of the rumors that this fragrance has unusual performance, so with that in mind I sprayed only two sprays on my neck. That is my general rule for stronger fragrances as to not offend anyone. I let it sit for 45 minutes. I step in the back seat of a 2016 Honda Civic and my two parents who sat in front immediately react very negatively with a cringe. They asked what is that smell! Ethan you put on too much, don’t wear that cologne anymore. So I didn’t, because that shit hurted. Mind you I could only smell the fragrance if I pressed my nose on my skin. My first impression was that it was too harsh and too lemony peppery. 7 months later and I have made a complete 180 with my opinion. I’m a little bit addicted to the smell, it is unlike anything I’ve ever smelled on anyone my age, and it makes me feel like I’m on another level than anyone else wearing fragrance. I feel like it is contrary to my parents first impression very inoffensive and light. The sillage is excellent (probably) and the reactions that I get are very positive now, even my mom likes it now. I don’t know what happened on those first two sprays, but now I am in love with this stuff.

Escentric 01 (NOT molecule 01) was a bit of a departure for me, I've usually favoured scents that lean naturalistic however I actually really like it. It feels like a more modern, sharper, quirky take on other scents I enjoy. Oddly it also feels like to me like a significantly improved version of Maison Margiela's 'Lazy Sunday Morning' which shares this fragrance's Iris/Musk notes but - I think - delivers them in a much less appealing way. I definitely get the amalfi lemon (a key distinction from Lazy Sunday) but the combination makes it feel like an interesting variety of it. For me the smell fades into the background faster than most other scents but the fainter scent then lasts much longer - I've been able to smell it on myself 24 hours later in some cases and it's survived a shower too. After the initial spray it starts to mix in with your general scent very nicely to the extent that you may come across as a person who just naturally smells nice rather than a person who is wearing a fragrance. I've been pleasantly surprised by this and will definitely be keeping it in regular rotation, its subtlety also lends itself to wearing in a range of scenarios. Great stuff.

For people saying they can't smell anything, here's why. If you think you're going to smell a full blown fragrance only after spraying it once and sniffing once, you won't smell much but wood. If this is what you do with most fragrances, (judging at first spray) then you're in for a rude awakening because you're missing out on a lot of amazing fragrances. You should spend about a week MINIMUM wearing a fragrance to really understand it and get its true smell. Molecule 01 does smell like wood. It smells like pencil shavings. Not attractive at all right? Well, wrong. This smells like BRAND NEW SKIN. Yes... skin. People will not think you put perfume on. They'll think that this is what you actually smell like. If you want to know what molecule 01 smells like, get a sweater or a shirt, spray it with molecule 01 and put it in your closet. Leave it there til the next day and go in and ... ENJOY. This is mysterious and sexy. You can't explain the smell once it's on clothes or someone's hair/skin. You're welcome :)

I was an exchange student in Korea, and there was this guy who smelled amazing. I could smell his perfume from afar, I could even tell BEFORE entering the class room that he was in there just by the smell. That's how mad the projection of Escentric 01 is. I just HAD to get my hands on it! It is actually quite a simple and linear fragrance, but its ability to fill an entire room while not being overpowering captivates me. I can't imagine this being offensive to anyone, with its innocuous citrusy, slightly peppered sillage. I see lots of people mention Glossier You as similar to Escentric 01. While both are major fragrances crushes for me, in my experience, they don't smell anything alike, especially since there is not a hint of lemon in Glossier You.

Perfumery is also about technology. And I fall in love with this brand because of their molecular technology. My first full bottle of Geza Schoen creations is E01. I bought it almost 3 years ago, and it instantly become my favorite scent. This bottle is all about Iso-E Super, the molecul that gives you a woody scent, smooth, bit powdery, and citrusy at the beginning. While their brother, M01, is only about the Iso-E Super, the E01 is enriched with Iris that give you a powdery feeling, and lemon to lift up and freshen your mood. It can be a stand-alone fragrance or you can simply use it for layering with other fragrance to creatw more complex nuance and boost the sillage, performance, and longevity.

This is an easy, versatile molecular fragrance. Wooden, airy, clean and unisex with some creamy iris/orris notes. I wouldn’t call this perfume weak – it lingers hours on me – but it is a subtle skin scent. Escentric 01 works as a stand alone perfume unlike Molecule 01 which I feel is more of a booster for other perfumes. However, Escentric 01 is simple enough to suit all seasons and occasions. On the skin, the scent becomes fuller and softer hour by hour. This perfume is perfect for office, as it’s clean, universally pleasing and will certainly not irritate anyone. I would love to own a full bottle of this beautiful liquid.

This is how you do a phenomenal molecular fragrance! Molecule 01 is a mas appealing woody, citrusy, floral scent with a touch of citrus in the opening. I am not the biggest iris person but I really enjoy it here, I think the combination with ISO E Super is very smooth and creates a comforting feel fragrance. I would get a bottle of this, I find that really works during fall. It’s that type of perfume that envelops you in and might boost your mood. I’m surprised by how natural it smells, I thought it would be more synthetic, artificial smelling, but on the contrary, a very pleasant surprise.

I have the discovery set with all 5 of the Molecule and Escentric scents and this is one of my two favourites. It works well on it's own as an ethereal citrusy skin scent, but I LOVE this for layering. If I were to buy a full bottle from the range, this would likely be the one. I think the addition of lemon and pink pepper really make citruses in lighter performing fragrances pop, extending the top notes beyond the usual half hour to hour. If you have it, try layering a base coat of this with Eau Sauvage EDT sprayed generously over the top, and thank me later.

I think this very well may be my signature scent. I fell in love with it the moment I sampled it. It's the scent which really began my perfume journey. I think you know you've found a favourite when you then begin to look at the many 'similar' fragrances - sampling them and experiencing the pros and cons of them. If you're interested - the closest scent to escentric 01 is Ormonde Jayne Isfarkand - another scent by creator of escentric 01 - Geza Schön. I'm just so happy this scent exists - and that Geza and his many wonderful creations does too!

This scent is so ridiculously good. It starts with this beautiful spicy sharpness that teeters on offensive but lies just below it. It’s not at all elusive for me. But it also isn’t cloying or too present. The interplay between the iso e super and pink pepper is incredible. It’s this dynamic, ever changing duet. I don’t pick up a whole lot of floral notes on this one. I’m male presenting and very much prefer unisex scents. This one is perfect for me. I want to be enveloped in this smell all the time. Very likely will become my signature scent.

Escentric 01. Big like for me. On my skin is a nice woody and musky smell. I can smell a bit of Iris. Good performance, perfect projection (i.e. it won't bother those around you). Great to use year round. Update: wore it all day today. Spent about 3 h on a meeting having to wear a facemask. I went outside for break and took the mask off. I could smell myself surrounded by the most amazing perfume bubble (a side effect of wearing the mask and taking it off... I could smell Escentric 01 on me probably as others smell me, and it was good!).

I bought this for my sons but thought id give it a try. I like it! I do see the similarity to light blue but not exactly the same. I was searching all over for the cap but i guess it doesnt come with one? I will try this as a layering tool, mainly i get citrus. But i do think i get a woody background Update: my son (20) loves this. He said he layers this with every scent he wears and this takes it next level. I only tried it once and i thought he may share with me but nope! That is how much he likes it.

I love this scent - warm, clean, very vaguely woodsy, very vaguely sweet. The scent is very hard to describe but it melts into my skin and fades from being obtrusive *to me* while still getting nice reactions from people who get close to me. I feel like it smells like me, but better. It may be helpful to know that I'm one of those people who finds most high end perfume to be disturbingly "perfumey" and intrusive, so this lovely, mild, cashmere sweater of a scent was absolutely perfect for me.

I can't hardly wait to get mine...actually,I've been fan for years now,but somehow I've purchased many other perfumes before Escentric 01.I've smelled it first on one lady I was in company with,close to 8 years now,and she smelled fantastic!(I don't know if she wore molecule or escentric,but I ordered escentric)I think this is a MUST have in any fragrance lover rotation,it is that good...totally unisex,and divine smell.And I could recommend a safe blind buy.Enjoy and thank me later:)

This one is damn good. Incense (ebony?), fresh musk, mastic, cedar and a hint of orris. It moves with the body and it sticks to it. Enigmatic: you want to know what it is and one day you might become sure what it is. And yet you ponder and wonder , desire to know what this really is especially that it is long lasting, eternal and it does not have drydown at all. It smells the same until one day it dissapears. So here I am: my signature scent is to be dethroned.

I’ve sprayed this in store a couple of times, and it’s the first time a perfume has really evoked memories for me: first I’m resting in the shade of a grove of pepper trees in the outback, then climbing pines by the sea as a kid. Couldn’t stop sniffing my wrist when I tried it - the smell of childhood adventure was intensely comforting. This stays all day as a skin scent, and for several days on clothes. Will definitely buy a full bottle.

I don't love it on my skin, but I think it smells AMAZING on clothes. Just a little spray inside your jacket or something is perfect. Agree with the previous reviewer that it smells like the feeling of a hug. Edit: About 4 months later, I like it on my skin now! A good description imo would be a more complex Molecule 01. It still has that pencil shaving vibe (in a good way) but is way deeper and more interesting.

This is a great 'clean', natural-smelling scent that works in all seasons and most situations where you aren't aiming for an attention grabbing trail. Not a strong projector but it's designed to be that way. Lasts really well for me, with my perception of it phasing in and out. Pleasing for me to wear and will be noticed but those close to me but not designed to be an attention grabber.

Brisk peppery opening transcending into delicate, velvety, iris petals in a steadfast base of Iso E Super. I would describe it as "pure", and oh so clean. It's intoxicating and addictive. I just love it so 💕😌 ..full bottle worthy. All seasons, all occasions. *Edit 10 minutes later I pick up the listed violet note as this fragrance unfolds. Ugh so pretty!

This scent of this perfume is sooo nostalgic for me. It brings back memories of 2008. My signature scent then was, the now defunct, Burberry The Beat EDT Man. Metallic, peppery, and wet grass! This is it. I’ve been looking for a fragrance similar to that but with a modern twist. Very unisex.

Molecule 01 and this Eccentric 01 are Geza Schoens best creations. Unlike most other Molecule or Iso E super Fragrances, this one is the most refined and classy one. Its beauty lies in its simplicity, which the most complex and balanced simplicity in any perfume. This is a masterpiece!

The smell is nice and i bought a full bottle, but the sad part is that i cant notice it after like 30 minutes to 1h; i did multiple sprays on skin and clothes; you can smell it if you shove your nose into it, and i havent asked anybody if i smell like anything or got any remarks

Incredibly sexy .. I was looking for a perfume that a person smelled like in my workplace.By the way, it was a woman. I never asked her about it, I don't know why ... I finally found it! Ethereal, sensual, alluring ... Many people confuse Escentric 01 with Molecule 01 .

It really starts with pencil shavings, in a weird and fun way. Full blown arts and craft schoolwork scent. Then it smoothes out. Mellow citrus, not obtrusive at all. Love it as a base layer with something light, floral cdg's, sprayed over.

Escentric 01 is transparent and absolutely beautiful -- the essence of all that is new, contemporary, clean, minimalist, abstract, and exquisite. Contains hints of celery, making this a vegetal clean fragrance.

Another banger from Escentric. An incredible woody lemon scent. The lemon is very present it was the first thing I smelled Without having read the notes. It’s practically molecule 01 with Lemon. 8.5/10

This is a clean, woodsy scent that is smooth and appealing. I find it stays close to you and doesn't have much sillage. It stays on for about 8 hours. It actually is a lovely scent.

I got a sample and I like this! But if you already have Light blue you don’t need this. Same DNA. Not very long lasting at all, so I won't be buying a big size :)

If you want to smell clean and fresh this is the one for you..its subtle and minimal great for layering and on its own.Finished 2 bottles already. Gorgeous.

This is such a perfect layering fragrance, with any sweet floral or herbal fragrance you have in your collection. Amazing on its own as well. Love it!

On my skin I get sweet Cashmere and leather. Magic. Love it. No pepper, no citrus. Just sweet cashmere and leather. Happy. For me good skinchemistry.

Escentric Molecules Escentric 01 EDT opens with a soft projection of citrus, floral powdery, and soft spicy notes. The opening is very fresh, faint, and pleasant. The Amalfi lemon is noticeable, sour but with a mild sweet touch; the iris is the next most prominent note a floral note well-know for adding a powdery accord. The pink pepper is a soft spicy touch, needed to counterbalance the citrus and powdery notes. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the initially soft ISO E-Super note will start developing into a fresh woody accord evocative of cedarwood. Simultaneously the iris and Amalfi take one step down losing some of their initial sharpness and that powdery note. The fragrance has a noticeable opening to dry-down change, the opening is citrusy, fresh, sharp, sweet, and floral powdery with hints of pink pepper; on the other hand, the dry-down favors the ISO E-Super within this fragrance creates a scent evocative of cedarwood, fresh, with faint ambergris touches. Once Escentric Molecules Escentric 01 EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a low projection, woody (ISO E-Super, cedar-like), and citrus (Amalfi lemon) fragrance with pink pepper fragrance with soft musky and powdery accords. The fragrance feels casual, delicate, diluted, diurnal, dry, elegant, faint, formal, fresh, gentle, mildly powdery, simple, sour, sporty, mildly sweet, weak, woody, and pleasant. Escentric 01 and Molecule 01 were the fragrances that started the success of Escentric Molecules. These fragrances were designed upon a particular molecule, more precisely the Iso E Super, patented by IFF company. Escentric 01 has 65% of Iso E Super in its formula, maximizing the power of the fragrance and the other notes. According to the manufacturer, these notes are lime peel, hedione (synthetic compound of marked freshness, which may have floral nuances - similar to jasmine - or citrus), iris, balsamic notes and fresh musk. On the skin, Escentric 01 works great. It is a kind of perfect complement to what the perfumer wants to show for those who have not seen the brilliance proposed by Molecule 01. And what they bring in common - Iso E Super - is much more effective here than in the other creation, at least for me. Respecting the concept of the brand, Escentric 01 is clearly synthetic, but has a perfume vibe, exudes an extremely pleasant fragrance and does not give that feeling of frustration, which was the reaction of many people regarding the other fragrance. Escentric 01 is easy to conquer because it has a clear and citric aura, but carries numerous facets that only reveal themselves over time (and depending on the user's skin) thanks to the immense amount of Iso E Super that was used. That is why some people smell bitter orange, others smell pencil shavings and others smell woods. There are also those who feel a silky and strong musky effect, others say they feel suede and there are those who only smell peppers. The truth is that Escentric 01 is extremely changeable, although it does have a citrus-like spine that holds up everything else. On my skin, the projection is good, but the highlight is for the longevity, typical of fragrances that bring a synthetic note here and there, but with a big difference: this time, the compound is not just another note in the middle of the olfactory pyramid. It is the main note and was used without fear! Escentric 01 is shareable, differentiated - even when it seems generic - and still allows some bolder layering attempts. It deserves the family fame!

Each "Molecule" scent has a complementary "Escentric" scent to act as a "binary pair". The "Molecules" consist of one aromachemical, bottled, while each "Escentric" is supposed to feature the same amount of the aromachemical in question, but accompanied by other notes chosen to enhance it. As the complementary other half to Molecule 01, Escentric 01 is an Iso-E-Super-heavy scent, featuring hints of other notes. E01 is permeated by Iso-E-Super throughout - warm, cosy, synthetic, woody and amber-y. There is a sharp lemon note at its opening, reminiscent of cleaning products, perhaps due to the synthetic base. Pink pepper becomes prominent as it develops, tempering the lemon somewhat with its soft, rosy spice. I was keen to smell some iris, but I get none here. There is a powdery quality, but there is no discernible iris here. I get something akin to patchouli as it develops, but it is somewhat faded. The Iso-E-Super permeates this scent, as expected, remaining until final fade. Perhaps thanks to the inclusion of other notes, I am not anosmic to E01 on my skin, as is the case with Molecule 01. Sillage and longevity are moderate, and it is a unisex, spring/summer day scent. Intended as an exercise in showcasing Iso-E-Super, E01 ultimately feels pointless - this simple scent lacks a meaningful composition, and is banal, if not unpleasant. I understand the novelty of the minimalism of Molecule 01, but E01 is just a linear lemon-pepper scent with a lingering, synthetic amber-esque base. Not bad, but dull. Reminiscent in part of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. 2/5.

Make sure to buy a sampler bottle before committing to it, not a safe blind buy as it changes based on your body chemistry. From many reviews I read people mentioned how only people around them can smell it or that it is a faint scent, but that wasn't the case for me. I sprayed once on my arm below the elbow and to my surprise I smell it strongly, in fact I smell it too well that I am getting tired and next time will apply it farther away from my face as it doesn't give nose fatigue as other perfumes (your nose will get saturated but will reset often enough to get tired of it) The notes I picked were bright, refreshing and sweet notes, it is lovely but not that interesting and the perfume will be linear for the better or worse. Sillage and projection are strong with this one from what I can tell by myself (I can smell it even if I extend my arm and turn my head to the other side in the first hour and after that I can smell it if I face the same direction. Apply 1-2 sprays to see how you react to it first, as it can get nauseating/ head ache inducing if put on too much or too close to the face for longevity I haven't used it long enough to say, but for me 5 hours passed and the perfume isn't getting any weaker so I think minimum 8 hours but it depends on your skin and the climate.

Bright and sawdusty, yet somehow pillowy. Personally, I'm anosmic to the Iso E Super in Molecule 01, but I can smell it big time in Escentric 01, so this is the next best thing for me. It's a dry, lemony cedarwood bomb with the iris giving it this pillowy, powdery sheen. I can see how it might skew into air freshener territory with that description, but it doesn't for me. Even though I love the fragrance, my biggest complaint with this one is that it's painfully linear to the point that it's boring to me. It smells exactly the same in Hour 1 as it does in Hour 8. On that note, I consistently get 8 hours of longevity on my skin, but projection comes down a bit after the 4-hour mark. Even if the projection gets smaller, this is a fragrance I can constantly smell on myself all day. I think this is unisex and extremely versatile, and I especially recommend it to people who work in professions where you need to have inoffensive scents (schoolteachers, clerical work, nursing, hospitality, etc). 21/M - Chicago

Escentric 01 is much better than Molecule 01 and at least I don't feel like Geza Schoen is pulling my leg with a single molecule of Iso E Super. E01 opens with a great combination of pepper and woods notes joined by a sparkling lemon. Unique and somehow familiar at the same time, then the Iso E Super starts to play his role evolving the scent into an intoxicating woody-incensey accord that stays linear for hours. IMO this is the real essence of this fragrance. I immagine E01 as an undressed minimal version of the vintage Fahrenheit or, if you prefer, as a warmer Odeur 71 with Lemon instead of mint. This is not a groundbreaking or revolutionary release and, as I said for Molecule 01, no "magic" or pheromonic effects here, but if you try to forget about all the hype behind this line of fragrances you will discover an incredibly delightful and modern scent that has a great projection and an amazing lasting power. In continental europe this is sold cheaper than in the US. Rating: 7/10

This is very strange ! It really is barely perceptible on me. It's true that the alcohol is quite overwhelming at first, but it soon fades. Initially all I can smell is a top note of lemon zest. Then enter cedarwood shavings with something a little musky in there too. There is something soapy about this, it's like expensive gentlemens soap from an old fashioned barbers. To my nose it's so subtle that I end up spraying A LOT of this on, and then worrying that it's only me who can't smell it and everyone else around me is suffering from over-kill. The most extraordinary about this and the reason that I own it is the effect this has on other people. Never have so many people complemented me. Friends, strangers, lovers and family all seem to think I smell amazing. 'Fresh and Beautiful' are the most commonly used adjectives. Note that they all say 'I' smell beautiful, not 'what a beautiful perfume' Although it's extremeley discreet it is also long lasting.

i enjoy Molecule01 but it takes a while to really develop (about 2 hrs before it really starts going good) i heard this was basically the same thing just a lil more notes to help during that 2 hr transition and so far i'm inclined to say those ppl were spot on correct. It opens citrusy fresh with some florals and that stays for about an hour and some change and just like Molecule01 that cedarwood /hamster cage scent is still there but it's less prominent because there are things kinda masking it and eventually it turns into the scent we all love. overall Escentric 02 is a bit better in terms of just everyday wear BUT if you didnt like Molecule01 then give this a try. personally i like M01 and this about the same and if you own 1 i don't really see the point in owning the other because they are basically the same but if you want a safer blind buy then this is safer than m01 because it actually has a opening and notes and things like that.

Light, musky citrus. Escentric 01 (ES01) is an extremely light scent. Citrus dominates, spiced up lightly with pepper. There is a light, cool, breezy lightly musky/ambergris/woody note. That is your Iso E Super. Fresh, light, citrusy, cool. To my experienced yet armature nose, I have always found it difficult to smell Iso E Super, & I am usually good at dissecting notes and accords by smell & identifying perfumes when I smell them in the wild. This has been slightly irritating for me. Back to ES01, it smells much more prominent on paper than on my skin. It does smell like D&G Light Blue, and also like a very diluted & more citrusy version of Encre Noir Sport. ES01 is a unisex, warm weather wear. Personally, even though I like the scent, I can't justify paying +$100 for an elusive smell that I find difficulty smelling. If you are among those that smells it without issues, you are of the lucky ones. "Like"

On first sniff while going through multiple samples, I thought this smelled like Molecule 01 with pink pepper. My nose was too distracted with so many smells going on to focus on details. Passed off as boring. But now, trying again with a clean nose, this really does smell quite a lot like Light Blue and Polo Blue! It's actually surprising, because Molecule 01 has absolutely none of this "blue" scent direction. So I wouldn't say this is just Iso-E's faucets strengthened. This is somewhat of a fresher stereotypically "blue" take on the molecule. I'm only giving a like because I dislike pepper as a note. Iso-E already has a peppery faucet that's on the edge of not annoying me, no more is needed. This would be absolutely incredible with a creamy sandalwood molecule replacing the pepper.
