Ambre Latte

from the very first sniff, I had that familiar feeling of recognising something I'd smelt before. It opens with a creamy almond note, quickly followed by a comforting blend of caramel, tonka bean and vanilla. The overall impression is smooth and milky, but not overly sweet. As it develops on my skin, a prominent musky - woody amber accord begins to emerge, adding depth and warmth to the composition. It was at this point that it clicked for me, Ambre Latte to me is a lighter interpretation of Vanilla Haze Extrait by Fugazzi. Both fragrances share a nutty opening, followed by a rich combination of caramel, vanilla, tonka and musk, although Ambre Latte feels a little airier and less intense. Longevity on my skin is around six hours with moderate sillage. This fragrance will resonate with anyone who likes modern vanilla - amber combination. I genuinely enjoy this fragrance and think it's beautifully composed. However, I won't be purchasing a full bottle, as I already own Vanilla Haze Extrait and the two are really close.

Although I was reminded of a few perfumes I own or have smelt, this one is missing all the harsh and booze notes, and isn’t as overwhelmingingly pungent, and therefore is now the perfect iteration of all those other ones. I can stand any of the other ones about 30 minutes (after just one spray), and become nauseated. This one put a smile on my face every time I got a whiff. I’m so glad I ordered a sample. And I love this house. They use recyclable packaging, refillable bottles, hire amazing perfumers, and don’t charge an arm and a leg. The dry-down is the best of all its cousins. It’s so smooth, warm, cozy. Not all perfumes need to make a statement. What happened to the perfume world that people don’t just want to smell and feel good, and not offend all their seat mates while doing so. If my seat mate smelt like this, I’d definitely ask what they’re wearing. If it was my hubby, I’d want to do other things. But I’m keeping this one for myself.

This fragrance is a mix of bianco latte with a sweet fresh base of akigala wood which to me gives off the same vibe as bois imperial. I don't get any plasticky notes from it (and i get them a bit from bianco latte). It sounds strange but if you like bois imperial and aren't afraid of the sweet notes in the opening, I think you will like this. Ambrofix smells like mold to me in perfumes that are filled with it (like vanilla skin, glosier you etc) and i can pick it up almost instantly. So I was pleasantly surprised that i don't notice it here. Overall it's a new love for me, will be buying a full bottle of this, but judging from the reviews not blind buy safe.

I'm currently testing a sample of this fragrance. Ambre Latte opens with a crisp almond note that is slightly sweet, creamy, and still feels surprisingly fresh. Beneath it lies a comforting blanket of woody notes, making this far from your typical gourmand perfume. Projection is moderate—not too loud, but certainly not a skin scent either. Longevity is excellent on both my skin and clothes. Is it an ultra-special niche fragrance? No. Yet that's not necessarily what I look for in a perfume. To me, Ambre Latte is a true masterpiece: comforting, beautifully blended, incredibly easy to wear, yet still unique. I can't wait to get a full bottle.

I don’t get the hate on this perfume. If you want a lactonic perfume, but want something different than Milk, with some sweetness but not an overly sweet gourmand, this is it. It is realistic and cozy, but to me sexy and mysterious as well. The ambre adds depth, and it is just so pleasant on skin. Better than Milk in my opinion. If you love this, DEFINITELY try to layer it with the Rare beauty Amber Vanilla layering balm. They have a different opening but the dry down is quite similar. They compliment eachother beautifully.

What an incredible fragrance! Powdery, gourmand, and sweet — but not overly sweet. I usually choose fragrances based on my mood, so I can adapt to almost any scent. But this one is the kind you just want to keep smelling again and again. It also lasts amazingly well on both skin and clothes. Once I spray it on my coat, it’s almost impossible to wear Bois Imperial afterwards, because Ambre Latte lingers so beautifully.

Oh this is delicious! Very vanilla, milky and woody. The longevity is great, I usually go nose blind to fragnances after couple of hours, but not with this one for some reason, I can smell it as clearly as when I sprayed it. I can't stop smelling my hand. Its very soft and just comforting in a way. Genuinely just such a nice fragrance, not generic either. I can see this as a great signature fragrance. Love love love!

This scent is gorgeous kind of lactonic ( because of the sandalwood and caramel ) and a bit sweet from the tonka and almonds and full amber. Is for everyone and please please don’t write that it smells like Bianco Latte means you have never tried it

Masterpiece in my opinion, milky but not overly sweet overall, my husband quotes or and we both think it reminiscent of a childhood dessert but can't remember which. Hope not everyone will start wearing it, like Bois imperial.

oh its a divine scent for sure. i’m so sad its almost summer so i can’t wear it because it’s going to be a little too cloying to my liking but its still a perfectly, not overly, sweet and an absolutely gorgeous scent

Groundbreaking? No. Delicious? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. So cozy- this is a perfect bedtime scent.

This is a very loud scent, way more pleasant in a distance rather then smelling it directly on the skin. I would say the other people will get to enjoy it way more than the person wearing it ( up close it is a bit kwer powering and synthetic) . It smells really familiar. There is caramel, it reminds some pistachio scents and of SOL perfume by Sol de Janeiro. At the same time I detect something a bit masculine in it, and resembling Purpose 50 by Amouage. Performance is very impressive though.

I had assumed that this would be a no-brainer buy for me, but there’s something almost plasticky in here that I can’t put my finger on. Almonds, tonka, milk, vanilla...but maybe all the ambrofixes and woods are making this less special than it could be. Great longevity and performance though. I think Essential Parfums is one of the best value brands out there, for the quality you get. One for me to consider further.

Lactonic dominant opening fades a little after a while giving more room to musk. I don't sense much of woods but overall, Ambre Latte smells quite sophisticated and luxurious, and yet, it gives warm and cozy vibes, it doesn't scream, it announces its presence, I like that. I portray woman wearing warm white fur coat or a home with such white fur cozy carpets.

Beautiful creamy, savory, softly sweet almond fragrance just after the initial alcohol burst, then poof! It's gone. What remains is a pleasant sandalwood skin scent. That's upsetting. Hopefully, they will release an extrait soon.

i find it kind of plain. woody, soft vanilla - soft but has depth, doesnt smell too sweet, more close to the skin, intimate scent. pretty and easy to wear

This is very strong but not ambre latte just wood. So it is a long lasting sweet wood scent. I like it but nowdays everyone smells like that.

Opens quite sweet, I can barely detect the almond (which is a shame, that’s what I was looking for). The opening fades very quickly, leaving a sugary sweetness (perhaps the caramel), though not suffocating. There’s also something fresh, almost cold — on my skin it reads almost mentholated. There’s a slight plasticky note too, which I can’t quite place. I guess it’s the Ambroxan. Overall, nothing extraordinary. A wearable sweet scent, suitable even for summer. No note stands out excessively. Neither remarkable nor disappointing Edit: kept trying it. A big synthetic modern cold mess. Gifted to a friend. I usually really like Essential, but this is a huge miss. :(

There are already a billion perfumes that smell like this, and this is a particularly synthetic and boring iteration of this bloated genre. Of these boring, milky, saccharine gourmands, this one is cheaper than the rest, but you get what you pay for. This is irritating my nasal nerves and quickly becomes nauseating.

Maybe it's just my nose but the dry done has this very woody scent that almost smells like anti-mosquito spray to me? I don't get the plastic-y scents others seem to get from this, i personally like the opening and middle but don't like the dry done.

To me, Ambre Latte smells like buttery cookies. The scent feels warm and soft, almost like cocoa with milk. But there’s one problem. Once the fragrance dries down, severe amberwoods start to dominate. The base reveals a salty-sweaty note that keeps creeping into my nose with no mercy. It’s not ambrocenide (pure ambrocenide as in, for example, Vanilla Powder or Metal Lavender by Matière Première). What’s used here is the same sort of amberwoods which create a dusty haze in my nose in the recent modern Amouage fragrances - Lustre, Reasons, Outlands etc. The effect here almost copies the ambery, smoky and dusty style of recent Amouage releases. At first it smells pleasant enough: dusty-woody, slightly sweet, “supposedly” cozy, gourmandish, just like buttery cookies. But every molecule of this fragrance feels soaked in a kind of chemical brine that drills my nose relentlessly. A similar base can be found in Velvet Iris by Essential Parfums. The difference is that in Ambre Latte there are no cool iris layers to veil those amberwood materials underneath. A typical modern heavy-amberwoods perfume: nuclear longevity, huge projection, cookie-like sweetness with a poisonous, peppery-metallic, synthetically salty-sweaty abstract note of modern aroma chemicals that I personally cannot stand.

at first it was a bit strange, very synthetic, milky, lactonic, almost roasted almonds with tonka beans and woody, it's just so synthetic that it's almost plasticky. on the dry down the rest goes away and you can really tell this is heavy in ambroxan/ambrofix, it's like a very generic gourmand/sweet base with a ton of amber and wood with no sustenance or uniqueness to it, almost like if you took what perfumers use to make a gourmand and stripped out all the main notes, leaving just the base with nothing to say pretty disappointing coming from Essential Parfums, I was testing Bois Imperial, Orange X Santal, Nice Bergamote, and more from their lineup before this, and this one is pretty bad in comparison, which makes it even worse knowing this is their most recent release

Первый час это очень красиво, жареные орехи (больше фундук чем миндаль) в молоке. Мне напомнили молочко от Ив Роше с овсом. Я даже подумала о покупке этого аромата в первый раз теста. Но через время это раскрывается... некрасиво. Точнее, в этом нет ничего плохого или неприятного, просто из красивого орехового аромата это превращается в обычную сладость, ничем не уникальную и ничем не примечательную. Это то, что есть сейчас на рынке в большом количестве, и это очень скучный аромат:( который становится просто сладким и все. Без лактонности или чего-то цветочного. Даже нет ванили.. увы Также хочу отметить что некоторое время, когда аромат раскрывается, пахнет чем то мятным..? Ментоловым..? Это единственное что мне показалось необычным в этом аромате

Someone said this smells plasticky and I couldn’t agree more. I wanted to love this since I liked latest BDK novelty Stellar Silk but cannot purchase it and support their political views. That being put aside, it’s nowhere near Stellar Silk. This has this plasticky moment, star-anise-like-coldness that is not found in the new BDK. Very very upset about this new release as I had high hopes for it.

To me it is sweet, airy, vanilic woody smell. Nice but generic. There are a lot of perfumes that smell alike.

Perfect example of what I hate in contemporary perfumery. Just what the title says. This is a single note of sweet almond sustained with a crapload of overdosed amberwoods and synthetic musks. Just orrible. It is like someone decided to troll overtly and overdose everything that makes the contemporary perfumery boring, effortless and annoying. It has a chemical, lactonic, sweetness that goes over for hours and hours, basically a scratcher.

This is along the same lines as bianco latte but it is a diluted version. It has a nauseating component which I do not appreciate. I do not recommend.

All I can smell is Akigalawood or Amberwood or Ambrofix.. They need to chill with those molecules

I understand why they say “Neo" Gourmand in the promo videos. It doesn’t feel like a natural gourmand, and it doesn’t feel like something I want to eat or drink. Instead, it is airy, effervescent, and boosted, like some of the other new trendy fragrances. Overall, it feels transparent at first, then creamy, then abstract woody. In the first hour, it smells very medicinal and sharp, not like a gourmand. The sweetness is there, and I get a lot of caramel, but it doesn’t feel milky or lactonic to me in this phase when it's combined with the medicinal feel. I mostly smell the boosting aromachemicals that are used in some other popular fragrances, something like the strong, nose piercing, smoky feel in fragrances such as Kirke or Erba Pura. It has a similar key element on air like those ones, but with the fruits replaced with caramel. In the first hour, it doesn’t feel like it's right named “Ambre Latte.” After 90 minutes, I start to smell the tonka, vanilla, and light amber benzoin feel when I smell closely. At this point, yes, it becomes Ambre Latte. However, it's very different on skin close by, and almost a completely different fragrance on air. On paper, it's completely different as well, stays close to its opening. It reminds me of a popular hand cream that I cannot really recall, but this could be something maybe made by Rituals. It also reminds me of Sephora’s own branded creams and shower gels with chocolate aromas that they had a long time ago. Late dry down, looses again the vanilla amber feeling. I feel the facets reminding me Blue Talisman or Bois Imperial time to time, not that I'm saying this due to the mentioned shared notes, it's just sudden whiffs reminding me primarily those. Update on the very late dry down: I get the mentioned recent Amouage resemblances. The final part lingers a bit like Guidance, and it also reminds me of something like Musamam Black Intense.

I recently bought this fragrance, and overall I think it’s amazing. The opening is very similar to Bianco Latte, with a delicious sweet apple pie vibe that immediately reminded me of a warm autumn dessert. The only part I’m not completely sold on is the dry down. You can still smell some of that sweet apple pie opening, but instead of becoming a cozy cinnamon heavy autumn scent, it develops into something sweeter and fresher than I expected. It’s still a beautiful fragrance, but the dry down wasn’t quite what I had hoped for, which left me a little disappointed. That said, for €94 I still think it’s worth the money. It could also be that my nose just needs more time to get used to the way the fragrance develops. Besides that it’s a really strong fragrance if you don’t like heavy fragrances maybe this is not the fragrance for you

It’s no coincidence that this fragrance is classified as neo-gourmand, there truly is no straightforward, edible sweetness to it. The sweetness is definitely present, but I don’t perceive it as a caramel note. Instead, the sweetness feels very delicate and unobtrusive. The fragrance takes me in the direction of a latte made with almond milk, or rather the creamy foam of that latte. Very close to the skin, if I listen carefully, I can detect a dry woody nuance. Overall, the fragrance feels soft and enveloping. None of the notes stand out too sharply, everything blends together in a very cohesive way. A very charming everyday fragrance that never becomes tiring and sits on the wearer like a delicate veil.

A lot of mixed feelings from people on this one. Im a bit biased since as a guy I dont have anything that smells like this but im sure to people with similar scents it may be redundant. This is very long lasting on skin, packs a bigger punch than divine vanille but still a tier below bois imperial from the same brand. opens of with the smell of almond-dipped Biscoff cookies but the clean woods surrounding it tames the scent so its not an outright gourmand. I enjoy the progression of this one a lot its very comforting and simple with some nuance to keep it interesting.

I just smell crushed biscuits. And I say crushed because I can literally feel as if I’m smelling the biscuits and some of the powder from the crushed pieces went into my nostrils. After drydown that effect is gone, and it just smells like biscuits covered in caramel, honey, and a little chocolate feeling. 8/10 not my type of smell though. Test before buying!!!!

I liked Essential Parfums, for the brand spirit and some pretty scents they have. I guess they finally ended up doing those new bestselling scents: if you like piercing synthetic amberwoods and plasticky-sweet-weird notes, be their guest. I was looking forward to it but I had to try twice because I genuinely thought the tester was wrong. Awful.

Lactonic powdery vanilla and tonka on a bed of akigalawood and sandalwood. It's nice I like it but leans feminine, too powdery for me to wear. The woody amber overdose is present and annoying as usual. I need to spray something with edge on my other arm to even this out.

Modern Amberwood/Amrofix mess mixed with some sweetness and sandalwood milkiness. I hope this plastic perfume era ends soon. Maybe some people still haven't recovered from post-COVID nose blindness and actually enjoy overspraying this stuff.

Terrible release, I don’t understand what was the point of this perfume, boring, weak, lazy blend of something that almost every other brand have in their collection. Pure disappointment.

Well Samwise its not supposed to be fucking ultra niche or the most groundbreaking fragrance ever created.

Excited to try this one, feel like it could be an every day perfect vanilla perfume.

Reminds me a lot of Kayali's Musk Latte, but a bit less sweet.
