Rose Magnetic

On Essential parfums: Every now and again a brand comes along that really hits on every level. Essential parfums is one those brands. Superb perfumes, nothing superfluous or irrelevant in the lineup, a nice number of releases, Frederic Malle style focus on perfumers (all of which are fantastic master perfumers) with their name (and picture) pride of place on the bottle and marketing materials. A commitment to sustainability, in terms of perfume materials and packaging, transparency about natural naturals used and their source, and the really important thing to most consumers an pledge to keep prices affordably low without sacrificing quality. So a brand that truly adds value and brings a lot to the table. I have huge admiration and respect for them and they should be applauded for the whole concept of the brand. Rose Magnetic Gorgeous!!! Lovely, mellow, not overly sweet rose. There's been some really lovely roses along the lines of this recently, beautifully supported, natural smelling roses. Velvet rose, propped up in all the right places by musks and warmth and lovely complementary top notes, like pink pepper or here there's Litchi listed in the notes. I'll buy it! Kinda fresh top, sure litchi okay. cool. I mean why would you bother with a screeching JAM, from Montale or a cheapo, crude PEA & rose crystal affair for a more money from a 'niche' brand? So good for the money and another example of a lovely rose accord which probably only uses a tiny amount of rose absolute but gets a hell of a lot out of it, with careful balance, Bravo Sophie Labbe. Comes highly recommended.

There are so many rose dominant perfumes out there. Given that my name is Rose, I've always liked the idea of finding a signature rose perfume! Mostly though I don't love them as much as hoped. I find the lighter roses a bit thin or metallic, the heavier ones somehow don't smell like actual rose so much. I mean perfumes are always like that - you don't get the experience of the warm sun, or dew, scent of earth and the look and feel of roses and the whole context. Rose Magnetic is quite close, but there's a mucky synthetic in there. Maybe @koxayous (comment below) has correctly spotted in in the lychee note? Most of us are sick of synthetics. Not the tried and tested ones that have remained and survived, in small doses, over the years (Aldehyde if sparingly used, hedione, salicylates and others). Maybe hedione in this perfume might have lifted it, maybe a tiny touch of 'sugar' if you wanted the Turkish Delight vibe? As they go though, this is nice among the available rose perfumes. My hunt for a signature rose continues ...

Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic is a pleasantly bright, tart, and semi-sweet rose with a varied supporting note cast of grapefruit, lychee, tonka, vanilla, peppermint, and musk, really one of the more splendid and somewhat unique fresh rose experiences I’ve had in recent years, and I find it very easily wearable while being striking and interesting. Really outstanding stuff, with the notes fitting together despite being frankly quite a bit odd as a group. Also, it performs fairly well, by no means a letdown, but it’s the scent itself that’s the standout. Like the rest of the line, Rose Magnetic is EDP concentration and priced at $96 for 100ml, very reasonable in the current market. It’s sold in the US via the house site and boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought my discovery set that contains the majority of the house’s catalogue. 8 out of 10

Rose Magnetic Essential Parfums - a nice simple take on the on the rose note yet not a boring one. Turkish rose is the main note of this perfume but the true highlight is the combination of citrus/litchi and mint; giving this perfume a very refreshing and summer vibe. The perfume is very well blended, all the notes mix together seamlessly, giving a general wholesome feeling and non-offensive yet still unique. Easily one of the best rose scent for summer. For me, this one is very unisex due to its combination. The citrus and mint notes provides fresh and masculine elements for the male audience while the sweetness from vanilla plays really well with the rose scent to appeal for women. Funny enough, after around 30min, it settles down to a very gender-neutral classy scent. - worth getting!

Imagine you're having brunch on a summer day in Amalfi, you're in a garden full of lemon trees and there are fragrant rose bouquets on the table. You're sipping on champagne while spreading rose jam on your pastries with a side of fresh lychees. In other words: a delicious, sparkling, zesty sweet and fresh blend of a citrusy jammy rose! The only downside is it's performance, the projection isn't really the best. It becomes a skin scent after about 2 hours, which could be interesting so it's still worth purchasing imo. Especially during the hot summer days, since intense fragrances can be cloying in the heat, a skin scent like this is perfect in that case. A solid 8,5/10 from me!
