On Essential parfums: Every now and again a brand comes along that really hits on every level. Essential parfums is one those brands. Superb perfumes, nothing superfluous or irrelevant in the lineup, a nice number of releases, Frederic Malle style focus on perfumers (all of which are fantastic master perfumers) with their name (and picture) pride of place on the bottle and marketing materials. A commitment to sustainability, in terms of perfume materials and packaging, transparency about natural naturals used and their source, and the really important thing to most consumers an pledge to keep prices affordably low without sacrificing quality. So a brand that truly adds value and brings a lot to the table. I have huge admiration and respect for them and they should be applauded for the whole concept of the brand. Rose Magnetic Gorgeous!!! Lovely, mellow, not overly sweet rose. There's been some really lovely roses along the lines of this recently, beautifully supported, natural smelling roses. Velvet rose, propped up in all the right places by musks and warmth and lovely complementary top notes, like pink pepper or here there's Litchi listed in the notes. I'll buy it! Kinda fresh top, sure litchi okay. cool. I mean why would you bother with a screeching JAM, from Montale or a cheapo, crude PEA & rose crystal affair for a more money from a 'niche' brand? So good for the money and another example of a lovely rose accord which probably only uses a tiny amount of rose absolute but gets a hell of a lot out of it, with careful balance, Bravo Sophie Labbe. Comes highly recommended.

There are so many rose dominant perfumes out there. Given that my name is Rose, I've always liked the idea of finding a signature rose perfume! Mostly though I don't love them as much as hoped. I find the lighter roses a bit thin or metallic, the heavier ones somehow don't smell like actual rose so much. I mean perfumes are always like that - you don't get the experience of the warm sun, or dew, scent of earth and the look and feel of roses and the whole context. Rose Magnetic is quite close, but there's a mucky synthetic in there. Maybe @koxayous (comment below) has correctly spotted in in the lychee note? Most of us are sick of synthetics. Not the tried and tested ones that have remained and survived, in small doses, over the years (Aldehyde if sparingly used, hedione, salicylates and others). Maybe hedione in this perfume might have lifted it, maybe a tiny touch of 'sugar' if you wanted the Turkish Delight vibe? As they go though, this is nice among the available rose perfumes. My hunt for a signature rose continues ...

Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic is a pleasantly bright, tart, and semi-sweet rose with a varied supporting note cast of grapefruit, lychee, tonka, vanilla, peppermint, and musk, really one of the more splendid and somewhat unique fresh rose experiences I’ve had in recent years, and I find it very easily wearable while being striking and interesting. Really outstanding stuff, with the notes fitting together despite being frankly quite a bit odd as a group. Also, it performs fairly well, by no means a letdown, but it’s the scent itself that’s the standout. Like the rest of the line, Rose Magnetic is EDP concentration and priced at $96 for 100ml, very reasonable in the current market. It’s sold in the US via the house site and boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought my discovery set that contains the majority of the house’s catalogue. 8 out of 10

Rose Magnetic Essential Parfums - a nice simple take on the on the rose note yet not a boring one. Turkish rose is the main note of this perfume but the true highlight is the combination of citrus/litchi and mint; giving this perfume a very refreshing and summer vibe. The perfume is very well blended, all the notes mix together seamlessly, giving a general wholesome feeling and non-offensive yet still unique. Easily one of the best rose scent for summer. For me, this one is very unisex due to its combination. The citrus and mint notes provides fresh and masculine elements for the male audience while the sweetness from vanilla plays really well with the rose scent to appeal for women. Funny enough, after around 30min, it settles down to a very gender-neutral classy scent. - worth getting!

Imagine you're having brunch on a summer day in Amalfi, you're in a garden full of lemon trees and there are fragrant rose bouquets on the table. You're sipping on champagne while spreading rose jam on your pastries with a side of fresh lychees. In other words: a delicious, sparkling, zesty sweet and fresh blend of a citrusy jammy rose! The only downside is it's performance, the projection isn't really the best. It becomes a skin scent after about 2 hours, which could be interesting so it's still worth purchasing imo. Especially during the hot summer days, since intense fragrances can be cloying in the heat, a skin scent like this is perfect in that case. A solid 8,5/10 from me!

Oh this is such a beautiful shy rose!! So beautifully blended (Sophie Labbé, you are a Rockstar 😍🤩)!! To me, this is a very intimate rose, something I’d wear to lure my lover in bed for some serious between the sheets games. It has a very aphrodisiac power to it. It is not a flower bomb at all, it’s just that to me, this smells very alluring and sexy but in a quiet and intimate way. I also wanted to mention that for the price ($75 for a 100ml Bottle on Luckyscent), this is definitely a great buy. I blind bought this reading reviews and watching different YouTubers and I must say this was a success. I will probably get a backup bottle of this too because it’s that good!!!🌹🌹🌹

I have so many rose frags, but this one is special, sparkling, light and crisp, suited for spring/summer wear. It's lemon-drenched rose petals, sweet, bright and green. I don't know why, but it reminds me of southern sweet iced tea, right after you squeeze a lemon wedge over the rim. I do find the listed notes a bit odd. To my nose, this is lemon, rose, sugar cube and tea. Projection is low. I find the 3 bottles I have from EP to all be short-lived on my skin (4 hours or less). One note--I dislike soapy frags and this is not soapy on my skin. There are no white florals or lily-of-the-valley here. Maybe some reviewers just associate rose with soap?

Rose Magnetic is a rose that breathes confidence and softness. I picture it worn with an impeccably ironed white shirt, freshly out of the wash, under a bright sun at 23°C. It evokes a walk through a rose field, every sparkling and luminous note gently caressing the skin. Soft and sensual, it asserts a quiet masculinity: strength lies in subtlety, not in raw power. It is a fragrance that attracts without ever imposing, provokes through its delicacy and leaves a mark through its originality. A rare olfactive signature, at once elegant and confident, that few would dare to wear.

Reminds me so much of Coveted Duchess Rose from Penhaligons..but more sweet and citrus at the top. This is a beautiful pink rose wrapped in soft sweet citrus cloud... it is so nice. I love to wear this to bed or if i am just lounging in the house. this is not a beast mode fragrance that will fill up a room, but a cozy intimate skin scent. If you want an alternative to CDR, you can try this one. CDR is a colder muskier scent whereas RM is warm and cozier... I love them both! but if i have to repurchase, I would definitely go with RM as the price tag is wayyy cheaper (78US)

Rose Magnetic opens with a zing of grapefruit and mint with rose in the background. About 10 minutes in the rose opens up as if the sun has coaxed it from bud to fully opened flower. This is a beautiful rose perfume. I love the opening - it's a surprise and delight! To me, the litchi enhances the rose to fully come out, and I adore the dry down of Tonka and cedar. It's a great combination for a base imho. As rose perfumes go, I have only ever loved Delire d' Rose by Caron and Rose de Grasse by Aerin Lauder. This is worthy of being in a top 5 for any rose lover for sure.

I have many favorite rose perfumes, more than one for all seasons... I like them all as long as they are quality because nothing is worse than fake or cheap rose perfume! Rose Magnetic is tied for my go-to rose with Rose Scheherazade . They’re very similar so I can’t decide which I prefer. When I feel like it’s a rose day. I just reach my hand for one of them in whichever I grab is the one I wear. They kept in a special place with my other favorites for easy choosing. You really cannot go wrong with this if you like a pretty, vintage style rose, perfume!

I believe Amouage's Guidance 46, launched in 2024, is strikingly similar to master perfumer Sophie Labbé's Rose Magnetic, released in 2018. Amouage here seems to have mastered imitation. Bright Lychee Rose. This is called Magnetic Rose for a reason. It will draw others to you with a plethora of compliments. It is a juicy, tangy rose. The sweetness is second to the clean tangy aroma. You will smell both roses used and the colour that comes to my mind when I wear it is pink. Exceptional value and quality and very underrated. For an all natural it will make you feel refreshed and it is hard to overspray. Rest assured you will want to, especially in the summer. 4.5/5

As a guy who never really considered wearing a rose based fragrance I was blown away by how much I liked this. In my discovery set, this was my second favorite behind Bois Imperial. The rose is fresh and citrusy (grapefruit) yet jammy (probably the litchi). It’s blended well and played very safe with other familiar ingredients of vanilla, tonka and cedar. I think a confident man could wear this just as easily as a woman. Definitely worth a sample but trying to decide on FB. SYL

This is so versatile and a joy to wear. Besides being a fresh rose scent that is not too old fashioned or offensive , it lasts for upto 7 hours on my clothes. It is not a projection monster but I get wafts of it every now and then as it dries down. For the price and for fresh rose perfume lovers , this is a must try. I'd say this is in the same category (but not a dupe) of Florabotanica.It has a mint and super iso e drydown which I love but may not be to everyone's taste.

A fruity, happy, sunny lychee-rose that will be a stunner in the warmer spring and summer months. I’m impatient to get there. But in the meantime, I’m wearing Rose Magnetic with Eau Duelle, which play beautifully together on skin. The commitment to sustainability that Essential Parfums makes impresses me. In a world with thousands of rose perfumes to choose from, I’m happy that my money goes to this brand. I wish more brands would follow their example.

This is a rose lover's rose -- it might be one of the best more straightforward roses I've smelled. When I smelled it, I actually said outloud, "wow this is a perfect rose." It's round, it's medium bodied, it's fresh, but warm, it's uncomplicated, and the drydown goes a tad musky even. There's something so warm almost apricot-ish in here to me. In the drydown, I can understand the comparison to Roses Musk, but I much prefer Rose Magnetic.

This was my 1st niche perfume I got on hands and I definitely think was one of best purchases I've ever made. The rose is stunning, truly alluring, not over powering yet performs really well on me for over 8 hours when I was in indoor and outdoor setting. It smells like the perfect blend of rose garden under the warmth of sun, dried elements of green and sweetness. Blindbuy worthy!

This is so pretty. I absolutely love it. A fresh rose, but certainly not a green or an aquatic rose. It's a playful, beautiful rose, slightly fruity with the grapefruit and litchi, and a hint of vanilla that brings just the right amount of velvety warmth. Such a lovely blend! I dislike Guidance 46, this is not at all like it.

This fragrance converted me to a rose lover. As a guy and someone who prefers and appreciates masculine leaning scents, this is BY FAR the best rose on the market hands down. My gosh. Had to order a bottle. 10/10 charm and smell. You feel different wearing this - an out of body experience this is that good

Wow! My first rose with citrus combo. I must say, this one is worth a try. I love it as an easy to reach unisex fragrance that is blind-buy safe. Got average performance and a very pleasant scent bubble. Recommended. As fyi, I layered it with Interlude Man and the result was magical. Shukran Habibi!

This rose is playing, she is covering her eyes with a feather fan, she has a charismatic eyes and personality. She enjoys taking a walk around the garden, picks the roses from the bush, flirts with the gardener. Oou... I forgot, she lives on the south of France.

A very well executed fresh rose. Rose is front and center and the grapefruit isn't pronounced. It just helps to lift the rose to new levels and I find myself walking around in a elegant scent cloud the whole day. Pretty, effortless and lovely.

this rose perfume is quite impressive. It has a floral structure. I can use this perfume for four seasons. I see this perfume as my joker perfume and I am thinking of buying a few more bottles to back up.

I got a sample vial of this after buying Bois Imperial from them. Finally got a bottle and this is a lovely airy flora rose with vanilla. Totally Unisex but guys can wear too. Smells great

Fresh, bright, cheerful, youthful and tart rose. It's direct and pleasant, very linear, and well-balanced. At the price point, I can definitely see myself buying the full bottle.

A jammy rose with just the right amount of fruit and citrus to brighten it up, followed with some warmth to calm it down. I can smell the mint in this but it is quite light

Stella! I finally found something similar! Have been looking for a year. Most I blind bought to find a stella with longevity. I bought at essentialparfums website.

The opening smells like Folle De Joie, and the drydown smells like You or Someone Like You! Two of my favorites, and a really unique combination of notes

Dark rose with something that's almost leathery. Interesting and very well done, I like it.

I spent some time with more than one tester and while I was thinking this is a transparent rose at best, today I noticed several other facets - Ambroxan and Hedione. Which then reminded me of Baccarat Rouge 540, covered with rose water. There's a light sugary and slightly metallic background to Rose Magnetic, and I do get the same background more prominently from Ariana Grande's Cloud. That, in addition with musks, also giving me the DNA you mostly get from Juliette Has A Gun fragrances to no surprise because JHAG brand loves their Ambroxan, Hedione and musks. Opening is a fresh citrusy rose-water sweetened by a red fruity note. Shortly after light woods and musks kick in, rose remains noticeable throughout. I think it's unisex leaning to feminine. Overall, it's pleasant, not special and it doesn't have to be. This is a good perfume, no weird edges and longevity is not bad either. We should keep in mind that many people reviewing fragrances are regular users exposed to hundreds of smelly molecules every day more than once - no wonder why such fragrances will seem short-lived. Not everything can & should be a slap-in-the-face-heavy-moleculed-monster.

A really lovely fresh rose scent with an unusual quality of tanginess about it. Not a puckery tanginess like lemon, or peppery like pink pepper, both of which are often used in these lighter rose fragrances. I’m assuming it’s the litchee that gives it this quality and it’s very nice. The rose, although it’s not heavy, is a red rose and feels like a complete red rose, just a very see through version of one. There is a beautiful base of Tonka and wood that adds some dark shadows to this and that perfectly complements all the other notes. Contrary to the experience of other reviewers I have found this to project a lot and last a good 8 hours, when worn in hot weather. The value for money for this is excellent as well. Addendum- I just bought this and wore it yesterday in very hot weather and it was gorgeous. The perfect summer rose. It really projects for about 7 hours so spray lightly! The experience with this is very different if you spray it versus using a dabber. The sprayed version has excellent sillage and life on the skin.

A freshly picked photorealistic rose, enlivened by a tiny twist of grapefruit and made just a little bit different with an exotic, sweetening touch of lychee to accentuate the voluptuousness of the rose oils. The whole composition has a delicacy to it that conjures soft pink rose petals, and it smells entirely natural, nothing synthetic detectable here. In the dry down the airy rose sinks into a soft, slightly sweet but not too sweet bed of vanilla, tonka and cedar, without ever losing that airiness. The blending from opening to dry down is sumptuous and the overall effect is mildly intoxicating. I keep being drawn back to my wrist for another sniff, perhaps this is the eponymous magnetic effect! Rose lovers should flock to this, it’s the most naturalistic representation of the flower that I’ve come across. However I feel it should have broader appeal to all aficionados of fine fragrances, it is executed beautifully with very skilful restraint.

Rose Magnetic is a beautiful summery take on a classic rose. It opens sweet and juicy with grapefruit and litchi at the forefront, before a gentle mint becomes present creating a gorgeously fresh scent bubble. The rose sits gently in the background, light and airy only there to compliment the fresher notes. There’s a sweetness of vanilla and tonka in the base, which is a nice addition - however the cedar remains pretty much undetectable. It dries down very quickly and soon becomes a skin scent unfortunately. While this fragrance smells lovely, it’s only fleeting and to me lacks character and depth. It’s a very pleasant fragrance but that’s where it ends. It’s a good option for the summer and a nice fresh take on rose but it’s not massively special, thankfully the prices from Essential Parfums are reasonable.

A "well-done" fruity rose. The initial spray smells like jammy rose & grapefruit with a slightly fresh floral drydown. The sweet, botanical scent we are picking up comes from the floral notes being mixed with a vanilla note, similar to how honey is made by bees. Overall it's a safe & quality second-skin old rose that anyone can pull off, yes even men can pull this off. And the price of this bottle is getting crazier by the day which i find odd but it's a whatever really. Besides that, it's pretty intriguing and okay scent, reminds me of PDM Delina (just did 1:1 test and this one is a tad bit warmer, smoother and has more lychee/ grapefruit prominent note more than Delina), but with weaker sillage and projection as a con. Overall it's a very good rose scent profile.

When you want a big, bold, complex rose, reach for Portrait of A Lady. Rose Magnetic is for those days where you want something uncomplicated. It's happy, light and linear. You get a bunch of spray roses that were properly stored until you waited to treat yourself with a bouquet. This is something you could easily spray for work, as the sillage and projection are very weak, and I imagine it would be great during the summer or after the gym. The roses are young and fresh, with some citrus notes. I also smell something that reminds me of white flowers, though it isn't specified. For the price, I don't see why not (less than $100).

The lychee, tonka and vanilla notes are taking this rose scent into a pudding direction. The opening is yummy and lovely, very soft and feminine. Rose magnetic is creamier than Stella, and less sharp but more complex than Izia, both voted similar here on Fragrantica. In fact, of the three options—Stella, Izia and Rose Magnetic—I prefer this one. In part because it’s a newer scent for me, although a few days ago I tested Rosefire by Hermetica and that one trumps all of these by a mile. Still I really am enjoying my maiden voyage with Rose Magnetic. Fades a little too fast as many of the lovelies do, so not a love but very close.

To me, this is a rose perfume for people who don't particularly like rose. I only tried this because I received a sample and was pleasantly surprised. I don't normally like perfumes where the rose scent is strong. This one is nice, not super loud or projecting. The rose scent is balanced out nicely with the other notes. I smell a lot of the citrus in this one. With that being said, if you are looking for a rose prominent fragrance, this probably won't hit that sweet spot for you. Sample first!

Very pretty at first spritz - I can smell the rose and the grapefruit quite prominently. It's also sweet. The drydown is a beautiful vanilla. I am waiting to see what the longevity is, so far it's about 2.5 hours and I think it will fade completely soon. Edit: At around 3 hours it was almost completely gone. And that's with me just sitting at the computer all morning and barely moving. I assume if I had gone on a walk anywhere, it would have faded even faster. Sad, it's such a pleasant scent.

The good news is this is very rose forward. The scent is very kind and pleasant and to my nose is photo-realistic is like a smelling a real rose picked up from the garden. If you are a fan of the rose note this is worth looking into it for sure. The cons is its longevity which is poor, one hour on my skin and it becomes a skin scent. I also find it quite simple as I get the dominant rose note and not much else. If you want something more complex and long lasting this is might not be for you

A marriage of lychee and rose served on a fluffy cloud of sweet vanilla. It feels vaguely powdery, but that powder is captured by the watery notes of the lychee that gives an impression of something like strongly scented shampoo. Light, fresh, and somewhat soapy clean. More feminine-leaning than most fragrances I've tried. Totally linear as it dries down too. Much like Nice Bergamote, I only get moderately soft projection here for 2-3hr but 12hr+ longevity as a fruity-musky skin scent.

Actually, this one is pretty good. In my mind, rose perfumes fall into three categories: the epic rich-lady type with spicy notes, the fruity rose type with lychee added, and the plastic rose type with a chemical base in the dry down. This one feels like it’s standing at the midpoint, leaning slightly toward the lychee rose. It has a touch of powderiness, a bit of freshness, and still keeps a hint of fruitiness.

Calming, fresh, well blended rose scent. The grapefruit and mint balance the rosiness and keep things light and fresh, while the cedar counteracts the sweetness of the vanilla and tonka in the base. It's nicely done and beautifully balanced. Sillage is pretty close to the body which doesn't bother me, as long as I can smell me I don't care whether others can, but longevity is poor on me.

A very light, fresh, airy rose. I can't detect the other notes well. This is a fragrance that would be office safe and safe for sensitive noses. I can't imagine over spraying or offending anyone with this. Like all Essential Parfums, it's an incredible value. I'm thinking of getting a full bottle just to have an easy -reach, daily driver that can be suitable for any situation.

At first I thought oh no not another Delina copy but this got much more rosy as it went along. I wish the mint was more amplified. That would have made this much more interesting. Plus longevity is weak with this fragrance. If you want a rose that is office safe this is a good one because it is a light fresh rose. Grapefruit and cedar are kept in check. They don't overwhelm.

i'm not the biggest fan of rose notes in general, but it's not overpowering in an old lady perfume kind of way. the rose smell is quite nice and sits close to the skin. like other essential parfums fragrances, nothing smells really cheap and synthetic like versace, for example. not something i would get, as i think it leans a tad too feminine. biased 7/10

I received a decanted sample of Rose Magnetic along with my Bianco Latte purchase. I love rose-scented fragrances. In the initial sniff, I didn't fall in love with it like I did with Philosophy's Amazing Grace Ballet Rose. However, as it dried down, this is def a top 5 fave of mine. Will def buy the full size.

Very pink rose/citrus scent. The scents of petals in the morning while holding a glas of newly squeezed orange juice. Very bright, light and feminine. I don’t see similarities with Fleur Narcotuque, but definitely from the same category - rose/lytchee combination. Very good scent for a price. Well done!
