Chocolat Chaud

This is some potent stuff! Took two sprays and had people commenting on who smelled like coconut cookies. It doesn't smell if coconuts but I get why they're thinking that. It smells like someting between a dark chocolate cake and toast with Nutella on. I'm not a chocolate lover so thought I would hate this, but It's yummy. Defintely cool weather appropriate and like I said before, go with a light hand as it's beastmode!

I have a sample of this. I wasn't sure what to think the first time I applied it. The scent was pretty heavy and smelled a lot like chocolate, but not in an obviously good way. The second time, I appreciated it a bit more. I could smell the sub-notes a little more, but the chocolate is really heavy in this one. I feel that I might like to buy this one, but my daughter complained so much about how bad it smelled, so I think I have to pass. 😅

This does straight up smell like the bowl when you’ve baked a chocolate lava cake. It can be a little overwhelming, if not recommend as a blind buy. However, if you layer this with Sabrina Carpenter Me espresso you smell like a lovely Swedish fika!

It really gives a slightly burned, really dark mud cake. Absolutely beast mode, it never goes away. It’s not bad, but I almost never wear it. I wore it on a Christmas market outside in -18 Celsius, that was the perfect time, but only then. This is nuclear gourmand!

This is THE WORST fragrance I have ever smelled in my entire life. Period. This scent almost made me vomit. Seriously. If there was a rating worse than ”hate” it would be there! I truly thought this was going to be yummy nutella but instead all I get is moldy dark chocolate. Revolting!

Nonononono. I seriously wanna jump off a cliff if I smell this holy shit, this is terrible. This smells like the cheap chemical chocolate you sometimes smell in "chocolate-scent" products. It's waycoverwhelming, smells chemically and is just plain bad.

This dupe smells exactly like the original! For good or bad, I'm one who don't like Chocolate greedy, so i don't like this either. 🤷♀️

Essnce have a lot of very bad scents (and a few goodies) but this is by far the worst!

Willy Wonka's perfume 🍫👨🏻🍳 What an incredible discovery, had no idea of this affordable Swedish brand and now I'm curious to test their other scents ! I absolutely LOVE chocolate perfumes and have been on a search for the best choco and this is legit in my top 3. Price / Quality / Scent wise... it hits the jackpot, that's an excellent perfume for its value, with the craziest longevity and sillage ever. Essnce Chocolat Chaud is better than what I expected from the name, the perfume is well crafted and REALLY have a chocolatey scent to it. Not cacao, a realistic melting chocolate/ chocolate spread. For the scent, it reminds me of Le Gourmand , they're so similar it's surprising. It opens up with delicious melting chocolate and is quickly followed by a buttery - hazelnut note. The only thing I'm not a fan of, and found it in "Le gourmand" as well, is the butter note. However in Chocolat Chaud, the butter smells like it was created with a light coconut note, not big of a deal, but like I said, just not a fan. Many are comparing this perfume with Velvet Chocolate , I half disagree. Velvet chocolate has a cute chocolatey note, but it's only present for few minutes. From there, I agree with the similarity. But velvet chocolate also fades into a honey scent that I hate. On the contrary of Chocolat Chaud, which has a prominent chocolate scent from the beginning to the end, many hours later. I do think it smells like the name after many hours, the chocolate (star of the show) still as present as before, but more into a condensed - powdery choco/hazelnut instead of a melting one. At the end, this perfume is 100% worth the shot if you're a chocolate lover like me ! just be careful to not get addicted to it -

Chocolate and rye. I honestly couldn’t wait for it to dry down on the paper strip because it wasn’t pleasant. My brother tricked me twice by putting the strip under my nose and I had the same reaction. eeeeYUCK

this smells like my microwave after it caught on fire. still don’t hate it though
