Paradise Moon

I was actually planning to buy Cartier's La Panthere Parfum but I came across this fragrance because a lot of people voted it as a similar fragrance to the aforementioned. After looking at its simpler note breakdown, I was easily convinced to get this instead of LPP because I am not the biggest fan of fruity notes but then it's no use because this one also ended up smelling fruity lol (I still like it tho) Despite not being a WOWWW MINDBLOWING fragrance to my nose, it still left a great impression on me because it was an unexpected emotional ride. Who knew a simple bottle of smelly water would make you feel such things 3 I had high hopes for a leather and labdanum fragrance, I expected a chypre similar to my beloved Paloma Picasso (and yes if you've seen my reviews mentioning this fragrance? I still regret selling her). In the world of new, modern, or contemporary fragrances, it's given that old-school DNAs would obviously be watered down for the sake of mass appeal. Seeing reviews of La Panthere Parfum wherein people said it was chypre-esque and blah blah, it made me think that maybe this is also going to be reminiscent of old-school chypres as well since they're similar. Also, the ingredients on Paradise Moon gave me so much hope since it uses oakmoss oil (which is such a crucial note in chypre) but godddd the initial spray was so anticlimactic. It was simply HELLOOOO FRUITS !!!! umm this is not at all chypre??? But maybe it is chypre tho (gosh everything is chypre at this point as long as the marketing says so :p) lol I guess I'm just not used to fruitier takes on chypres. I will always loveee my dark floral chypres Amidst the disappointment, I suddenly paused and wondered why it suddenly felt so nostalgic. Why am I in a state of bliss? Why am I liking a scent profile I no longer enjoy and find extremely boring??? Welllll, that's the smell of peach for you. The smell of body mists I hoarded during my childhood. I then started missing the times when things were simpler. The times when a peach body mist was an easy 10/10 grab at Bath and Body Works. Times when a peach body mist made me feel like my "truest" self. Times when I was an insecure teenager. Times when my friends associate me with anything peach. Back when future was nothing but graduating high school and studying at a university without the fear of what happens next. The smell of peaches also reminds me of the childish mistakes I wish I've never done to every people in my life. The times I can never turn back to spend more time with loved ones who are no longer with me. Times when relatives were always around. The times when you thought your friends are going to stay at an inner circle and never be an inch-distant. Times when I should've been better to myself I miss youth. I miss innocence. I miss how carefree I was. Fragrance is litrullyyyyy the music of beauty products. It may be extremely melancholic but things happen for a reason (how cliche how original). This thing reminded me of my roots. The smell of peaches on the initial spray was a reminder that I am where I'm meant to be. In fact, it wasn't the same peach I smelled during my youth--it has now matured. It developed. The peach fragrances I wore back then were very one-dimensional but this one? milesss, if not, yearssss refined. It's not ur typical fruity peach fragrance !! it has different facets that appeal to someone who has finally grown out of their shell. It starts off super peachy but develops a medicinal bitterness and I think that comes from the "osmanthus trilogy" note listed in estee's site. I think trilogy is just a fancy way of saying flower, leaf, and branch haha !! and indeed, it smells like the whole shrub. As it warms up, the honeyed animalic sweetness from labdanum finally starts to bloom which elevates the composition into something deeper and more sensual, breaking the zen tranquility from osmanthus. Who knew that a light and fresh tea-like note could be sexy? The full dry down is where the money's at. Woody, stemmy, vaguely milky, honeyed with a great balance between green bitterness and a tart tang. It smells like dried figs, peaches, a splash of bourbon cream, and astringently zingy mango leaves mashed together then slowly simmered into a thick compote. The leather in this is undetectable. I would've preferred an actual leather smell to really make it extremely complex but heyyyy estee lauder isn't a niche house to push beyond their boundaries. I guess I'll just layer Guerlain's Cuir Intense to satisfy my leather needs in this one + it's a win because they have overlapping notes. It smells way cleaner on fabric. It smells veryyyy shampooey on clothes. This is a fragrance that should only be worn on skin as it's the only way to unleash its inner beast.

Since discovering last year this Luxury Collection from Estee Lauder, I kept wanting to get my nose on Paradise Moon. I like osmanthus in perfumes and this scent is supposed to be all about it. Today I have found it in store on display amongst other bottles from the collection and I am testing it as my fragrance of the day, plus a few sprays on a blotter. As a first impression, I love it!!! Smells amazing, floral, fruity, apricoty, leathery, ambery, warm and slightly spicy. It has so many facets and smells more complex than it would seem judging by the three notes listed. Has an interesting contrast between the intense fruity floral, feminine aspects and the masculine/ robust facets given by leather. To my nose, it smells like it could have tea or cardamom included in the composition alongside osmanthus, labdanum and leather. As it dries down, it gets a bit sweeter than as it opens and more leathery. Don’t worry about the leather aspect, it’s not overpowering the fruiy/floral dominance. It doesn’t reminds me of anything from my collection, which is awesome, but then again, I have just one osmathus dominant perfume that I’ve bought last year, Absolue d’Osmanthe by PMC. I think it’s a nice representation of this exotic flower and it’s very likeable, therefore if you’re interested in an osmanthus forward fragrance, I would say try Paradise Moon. It’s not too pricey and can be found on sale quite often, for about 20% off, and for a discounted price, it’s worth getting a bottle. It comes in two size bottles also, so if you don’t want to get a 100 ml bottle, they sell it in a 40 ml as well. Talking about bottles, this collection comes in a very classy, luxurious bottle with a magnetic cap. It’s really nice and unique because not many perfumes nowadays have prominent osmanthus note in their structure, so you’ll smell unique and distinctive wearing Paradise Moon! I will add this beauty to my collection in the future, I really love it. As far as the connection between the name and the juice goes, I don’t get it. To me smells more ambery, resinous/ earthy than anything celestial... Will update about how it performs at the end of the day. Edit: around five hours is a complete skin scent. On clothes last a bit better, as expected.

I tried this first from the new Lauder line because I’m an osmanthus and leather fan but wasn’t overly impressed at first; the leather aspects take time to emerge and the initial stages seem a bit candy-like and simple. However Paradise Moon eventually came to impress me a great deal and I bought a bottle. Starts off sweet and sour and slowly the cistus and other earthy parts come out, adding depth but letting the osmanthus stay front and centre the entire time. There’s a sweet-soapy-sour effect that I absolutely love and some of my favourites possess (Galop, Miyako). The general effect is smooth, rounded and glossy, with a lot of lushness and juiciness but not “damp” smelling or too sweet. Staying power is terrific and the scent projects amazingly, fruity and milky at a distance and darker and earthier closer up. There is a hint of chypre in Paradise moon that makes me think of Le Panthere by Cartier and Azemour Les Orangers by Empire d’Parfum. All of these have kind of bitter, hard fruit candy effect. The quality and value of this line is really good and I hope more bloggers/ reviewers start talking about it! EDIT: I tried this again when I bought a backup bottle at an outlet and it smelled much more leathery and smokey than my old bottle, but I thought it was even better. I have no idea which bottle is older and which is newer.

Sometimes I feel like we ask for too much from fragrance when we could simply embrace it as an emblem of beauty. When it's simple, it is expected to be complex. When complex, it may be deemed too complicated. It's like trailing for the elusive ideal that will finally, FINALLY, set our heart a-flutter and make the unrelenting search worth it. But this ideal never comes and we sometimes feel like we settle. Or maybe we start to pick apart and analyze the smell of something and we lose the visceral wonder of it all, listing notes and making comparisons and trying so hard to articulate when we can just feel. We could just let that feeling guide us. Paradise Moon is what I perceive to be Rodrigo Flores-Roux's love letter to osmanthus, letting it radiate beyond its natural inclinations, intensifying its qualities, especially its leathery undercurrent. The sweetness is just right, the amount of apricot meets tea is measured, and the inherent wearability makes it effortlessly wearable. The labdanum is the perfect cornerstone: subtly sensuous. It has a refreshing simplicity where lately I find many newer releases clobber one over the head with concept. It just feels good, it smells good, and there's rather no need to expatiate the matter. It clears the mind to just see it as beautifully rendered as that emblem of beauty and be on my way.

lol i've spammed the reviews in this particular fragrance but it's been 3 days since I had this and i've had pretty good wears with it. when i first had it, the leather note was nonexistent during its earlier days but the more i kept experiencing its bubble the more i detected the leather note overtime. I randomly started getting some faint leather nuances ala Guerlain Cuir Intense in the air while wearing this and I was confused because I didn't wear that fragrance today? and then it kicked it, there goes the leather note as promised in the note breakdown of Paradise Moon. WE FINALLY MET !! (after kind of ranting that the leather note is nowhere to be found) It's kinda given that Cuir Intense and Paradise Moon would have faint similarities with each other because of some overlapping notes but they're pretty distinguishable. (so yes, not a dupe, just vaguely familiar) Cuir Intense is less floral forward with less osmanthus (no apricoty, plummy, peachy opening), a more licorice smelling leather with a mild tobacco drydown Paradise Moon on the other hand has an OBVIOUSLY more floral forward opening with its osmanthus' peachy facets dialed up, and the leather here is nuttier and greasier compared to Cuir Intense. I have zero regrets picking this fragrance up !!

Although simplistic in its notes, Paradise moon feels somehow complex. It smells much better on the skin than it does on paper. This perfume was like a trip down memory lane for me. When I was younger my family moved to the middle east for a while. We used to go to these beautiful markets that were half-indoors half-outdoors at night since it was too hot in the daytime. There was life, music, food, colour, and the smell of spices and arabian perfume dousing every area. This perfume reminded me of walking through those markets and I can't really put my finger on why. Paradise moon captures the sophistication of the polished modern stores of gold, yet the dust of an ancient street, and the freedom of the big open night sky glittering with stars, but the business of the market night-life. It's a beautiful feminine perfume that makes a bold statement. I imagine someone who wears this perfume is very sure of who they are and is no-nonsense, passionate, inelligent, and sophisticated. This is not for those who are after a perfume that is inoffensive in nature. This is elegance and a firecracker at the same time. It does have good longevity and projects quite well. Overall this perfume is warm and spicy and smells addictive-it exudes confidence.

This has quickly become one of, if not, my favorite fragrances in my collection. On my skin, this lasts eternally. I have literally sprayed it on my skin at 8 AM and can still smell it lingering at midnight. Something about this fragrance is so addicting to me... it’s a very dark, spicy, autumnal perfume that is atypical for a floral fragrance. It’s a unisex scent that does a great job at mixing masculine and feminine notes, which I love as I enjoy both feminine and masculine fragrances. At first spray, it is a very spicy and ambery floral, but as it dries down it turns a lot more mellow, yet dark from that leather note. While not gourmand in any way, it pairs very well with gourmand fragrances and it is perfect for autumn weather. I love to pair this with cheriosa 71 by SDJ and bare vanilla by victoria’s secret. 10/10. This is a very unique scent, and while not for everyone, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

i think it's light and lovely. whatever that oil concrete that's listed in my small wonders sampler pack is, it is icy and mineral. it is an unusual composition. not for someone who wants louder more relatable scents as i usually do. this one is abstract and somewhat futuristic to me... like something i have language to describe (sweet, chilly, leathery) but i do not have a real life analog for this scent. seems like something from science fiction almost. not something i will reach for all of the time but it is thought-provoking. sexy but in a cyborg sort of way. reminds me of the moon babes in rudy rucker's "live robots" double novel.

These are now in stores at the EL counters in Dillard’s in the US. I ended up buying a bottle of Paradise Moon and Desert Eden. Paradise Moon smells like a sweet, tropical sparkling Champaign. There really is zero hint of the leather note in this fragrance so please do not buy this one if you want the leather note to be noticeable. I’m not a big leather fan and I was quite surprise that note is listed for this one. This is a fun and flirty fragrance. An easy reach if you like sweet and fruity tropical scent. Although it is fruity this one doesn’t feel juvenile. There is something still classy about it.

This is my favorite scent from this collection. I was drawn to this because it's the most intriguing and unusual scent I've ever smelled (in a good way). At first, it smelled very artificial to me, but now it smells like unique floral. This scent has really grown on me, its one of my more unique smelling fragrances. This will last your entire work day. It's linear, it does not change throughout the day. Get this if you want to smell rare and different, but also pleasant and fit in hah. It's weird, but nicely composed and not outlandish or offensive.

This perfume is not a safe blind buy! I bought the mini collection to give each scent a fair rating. Paradise Moon is strong (2-3 sprays) is good enough for the day. Smells classy.. a bit unisex... I'd say it has a feel of cold fall/winter time. I get a feeling of blanket, fireplace and warm spice tea, dark night and candle lights. I am at 50/50 if this is going to be added to my 600+ bottle collection.

Very juicy & sweet , I think leather note gives this perfume depth and 3 d effect. Great one for casual days or dress up occasions, it objectively smells very good, sweet, may be too sweet for someone but it is a pleasant scent. It is fun and flirty, love to wear it in hot summer night and fall, but I think it is seasonless fragrance.

there's something weirdly milky in here no wonder why there's "lactonic" in the main accords. it isn't the dairy or straight up milk/cream type of lactonic but it's like whipping up dried fruits, fig milk, stemmy branches, and bitter green leaves into an aerated fantasy milk/cream note which makes this fragrance weirdly unique.

Truly unique and very sophisticated. Love, love, love this sexy scent! Not sure why there are complaints about the plum note. It's soft. The leather is more suede. There isn't any "grandma" or "old lady" notes! The combinations in this scent are nothing short of intriguing and a bit mysterious.

This was a love at first sniff and makes me feel confident and happy as advertised. It’s my number one signature scent and I think I can get away with wearing it throughout the year. My husband and step daughter enjoy it as well. This is a unique edition to my collection. I got a large bottle

The opening is sort of a bitter Pear note. (Must be the osmanthus, which apparently can have a peachy vibe.) Later it sweetens and makes me think of a pear candle.

One of the best in the luxury collection. In summer it smells very fruity with peach accent, in winter it smells more leathery with the accent of dry herbs.

Not bad, but not quite as leathery as I had hoped. It's mostly an osmanthus soliflore. I like the faintly tropical vibe, but it's not as special as I had hoped. So far I have just smelled a single spray on the back of one hand, from a small vial in the Mini Wonders discovery set. It's a strange scent to me--not a chypre, despite the leather notes that might bring to mind a leather chypre like vintage Revlon Unforgettable or Halston Classic or even Azurée. But it's mostly just a fruity-floral, with creamy aspects from the osmanthus, and a very slight labdanum and leather accord that doesn't seem to harmonize with it terribly well. The name is almost unbearably stupid, like almost every other name in this luxury line. The bottles are better than the defective bottles that they're putting their classic scents in now, and the bottles and packaging do indeed look luxurious, but the names are lackluster at best and highfalutin-stoner-weed-strainesque at worst. Paradise Moon sounds like a drugstore brand to me, although I suppose it's no dumber than Beyond Paradise.

In order to appreciate this perfume, you must love Osmanthus, as it shines brightly here. It's not just a top note, it is showcased in this perfume. And it has folks pretty confused, although I'm not sure why. Paradise Moon is unique. Nothing else smells like it. I happen to love it. It's very bright and linear...the leather is barely noticable. It's Osmanthus all day. This perfume has great longevity and sillage..I would've said this perfume is a safe blind buy, I bought it blind, but after reading the other reviews, maybe try it first. For me, I loved it at first spray because I hadn't ever smelled a perfume that so completely made Osmanthus the star and I love it still. Bought a couple extra bottles so I won't have FOMO. You won't find another perfume like this one. To me, I find it makes me happy just wearing it. NOTE- If you can't smell the Osmanthus in this, then you have no idea what it actually smells like in the first place. This is almost a soliflore.

[625] Paradise Moon is another simple but well-executed scent from Estée Lauder's luxury perfumes. It does resemble Cartier La Panthère parfum somewhat thanks to the osmanthus and musky amber, but PM is a much simpler creation. While I prefer the bold chypre of La Panthère, this peachy amber scent is undeniably good. PM opens with sweet apricot, initially tangy and candy-like, but mellows as it develops, becoming slightly jammy. There is a musky amber undertone that steadily develops, culminating in a realistic leather note, just the right amount of animalic. Some apricot remains, and fades eventually to a musky amber skin scent. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. Linear with good longevity, PM is a good-quality leather scent that is punctuated by osmanthus throughout. Feminine-leaning but potentially unisex, it is a nice autumn/winter leather scent with a slightly unusual twist. Not my favourite of this line, but objectively good. 3.5/5.

Paradise Moon strikes me as a more unisex Cartier La Panthere Parfum. Both are dense, golden, almost sticky osmanthus-dried stonefruit and a softy dirty, animalic musk. Think tamed lion rather than feral cat. Beautiful and endearing but not cute. Very elegant and smells expensive. Paradise Moon skews more balsamic and Panthere Parfum has a more vegetal floral-moss touch to it. Like earth versus the plants growing from it. I don't smell any leather per se in Paradise Moon. Paradise Moon is not masculine (it's certainly unisex), but Cartier could have released it as Panthere Pour Homme as these fragrances originate in the same jungle but emphasize different facets of the animal.

The opening is flowery with an animalic undertone, slightly spicy. As it dries, it becomes more rounded; it smells rich, deep, ambery with some sweetness. I can't detect the leather specifically, but I imagine it is what gives it depth. It becomes more pleasant with time, after 5 hours it is much sweeter and very pleasant; it reminds me of "old fashioned" perfumes, but in a nice way. It seems perfect for autumn weather, with medium sillage and solid longevity. The name doesn't match the perfume at all, in my view. All in all, very nice, elegant and completely unisex, slightly more feminine with the sweet dry down 🧡🍁☔️

I bought a deluxe sample 4mls spray from EL with the cost refunded on purchasing a full size, at first this was a little overpowering but within 20-30 mins it settled really well and the smell is divine, i would say this is very similar if not a recreation to the discontinued pleasures delight which i really loved so im happy about that, Longevity is fabulous i can still smell this on my wrist faintly even after showering and bathing 2 days later, not sure if thats a plus really or not. I would buy the full size. for now the spray bottle sample will last me a while but i will put this on my list.

I recently bought this at the Cosmetics Store outlet at a good price. I didn’t like it at first sniff, but over time I get an intriguing smell that develops from Leather notes to Apricot, peach and floral to musky, spicy, bitter with a wave of apricot in the background. This is a unique scent and is good for layering with pear and peachy vanilla scents. I bought two bottles as they were discounted. This is a departure from the usual sweet, vanilla perfumes that I own but I like wearing it, I like that it’s a confident and unusual scent.

From 8 MINI WONDERS: I absolutely love osmanthus, and I had high hopes for this perfume, but, I couldn't sniff any osmanthus-"wonders" in this? - I have been sniffing this perfume all day long, waiting for the osmanthus to kick in, and, now in the evening it still isn't there, the first sprays smells actually very good, as in the Juicy Couture perfumes, fresh, fruity and a bit sour, I can taste it in my mouth, and, the drydown on my skin smells more as rubber than leather, it's okey, but not a big love from me, 5/10,

My second favourite from the collection. The warmer the weather, the more I enjoy it. Has an elusive, tropical flower scent, that one can't quite place, makes it intriguing and interesting. Not much leather, just a nuance of expensive handbag interior. Very long lasting, but not pungent and overpowering.

It took me a while to get around to testing this. When I smelled it initially in a department store I didn’t like it. But I bough one of the sets. About 10 minutes into wearing this it reminded me of a scent from childhood, which in my case was in the 1970s. A scroll through the olibanum list and I discovered that the memory was probably Jean Patou 1000, released in 1972! I was young enough then to barely recognize that perfume was what made ladies at church smell nice. Now that it is warming up I am sure that osmanthus was present in several other products in the 1970s, too, although I have no idea what they were. As the labdanum comes forward, it contributes to the nostalgia. I can almost remember someone I knew wearing these scents. The scent memory also includes avocado green kitchens, bright sunlight through windows without UV protection, and bright gold-brown colors which were popular then. This was the scent of the fashion-forward. This is a very pleasant scent combination, sunny and comfortable. It feels more like a warm weather scent to me. It is fruity but not at all gourmand. This scent, like most of the others in the collection, lacks complexity and is fairly linear. It will be good for layering. I highly recommend this collection for someone new to perfumery and interested in learning natural notes that tend to be very expensive. They layer together seamlessly which is fun. Originally the collection was available as a set of 4ml bottles or 1.5ml samples. Innumerable eBay sellers have broken up the sets for individual sale. The entire collection is available for reasonable prices in samples or larger bottles but seems to be hard to find elsewhere.

Let me first say that "Ms. Lauder" and I go back a long way ( which might be the problem ). Three of my Top 5 are EL scents ( and more if you go as far as a Top 20 ) but they are ALL nearly over 20 yo ( and the rest ). The only more recent that I own and rate are flanklers ( Azzure d'Or & YD Nude ) nothing else has really come close to the greats of yesteryear. Sadly, based on Paradise Moon, neither do these latest offerings. I can't detect any of the listed notes at all. Definitely no labdanum or leather which is such a shame. What I do smell is a genetic fruity scent, slightly tropical with maybe a tiny hint of indistinct florals. I didn't know before that the Perfumer also created Clinique Happy ( another travesty compared to it's older stablemate AA ) but I'm not surprised. I did wonder if it might improve on the dry down, but no. By the time it hit the four hour mark it was still already fading but unaltered. Talking of: why shoot oneself in the foot ( er, nose ? ) by trumpeting a "12-hr performance" when it's just average ( by modern standards ) and would, otherwise, have gone unremarked ? I had planned to try a couple of others ( Eden and Sands ) but not sure I'll bother now. To be fair, it's so inoffensive I may wear it but more likely gift it to a young relative whom it may suit better.

There is definitely classic Estee Lauder DNA in here - it smells like an 80s perfume through and through. There is a bit of aldehydes a la White Linen meets a dark cola spiciness reminiscent of Youth Dew. I don't know what to make of it, but I can't wear it as yet. There is osmanthus and leather, but quite frankly I'm a little too scared to realize them.

Paradise Moon disappointed me a bit. I was hoping for richer fragrance. This is very light. The apricot nuances of the osmanthus are very present but they have no depth, and the perfume gives off a shampoo type of vibe. I would like this scent for a bubble bath, but it isn't very memorable.

Reminds me of rainbow sherbet. I almost scrubbed it immediately, but it dried down to a very light, inoffensive sweet fruit scent. It's not quite a clean scent, but allllllllllmost there. I'll probably end up giving it to my daughter, because it strikes me as for someone younger.

In the UK we have fizzy sherbert sweets (candy) called Refreshers made by Barratt. They're not a million miles away from Chuba Chups . And Refreshers are what Paradise Moon smells of to me. Powdery sweet shop sherbet.

This has a weird, almost plastic, fruity candy, bubblegum start, which I am not a fan of. It becomes more tolerable as it dries down and some mild spiciness and leathery base notes come out. At the point of dry down, it's just odd - a strangely sweet leather that has little complexity and feels discordant. Perhaps this particular osmanthus is just throwing me off, as I don't generally dislike osmanthus and I usually love labdanum and leather. Nevertheless, I just can't abide the evolution or the final, maturity of this fragrance. It's different, but for me, it's different-bad not different-interesting/unique.

Least favorite one from the EL luxury line that has one or two other note worthy fragrances. Can’t pin point anything in particular that is off, just that the smell overall feels somehow very artificial and screechy. Like a desert or a candy that is full of colouring and preservatives and gives you an instant belly ache (just for your nose). If that makes sense. Full disclosure - did not dare putting it on my skin due to the first impression on the test strip. So hopefully skin contact and later dry down is where this one becomes better.

I have a sample of this perfume. To me, the initial spray smells like pink pepper and redcurrants. As it dries down, it goes through a phase of smelling almost jammy on me to eventually settle into a generic white floral given a bit of warmth by leather. It's not offensive, but it's not memorable either, and there's no projection even on fabric.

Too strong, almost like old plum. There are a couple of notes—maybe osmanthus and cistus—that overpower the fragrance. I would not call this floral. I like soft, light white florals, and this came off like plum that got quite old. Of the luxury collection, dream dusk and tender light are my favorite.

Leather, labdanum and osmanthus. What's not to like, I thought. Turns out, a lot. Too much ambroxan. When will it dawn on them that it almost always ruins everything if it's not kept in check? Also, opening was too fruity-sweet. Surely that's another note altogether.

I work at the Estée Lauder counter in Macy’s and I absolutely can’t tolerate when someone sprays this one. We all make fun of Youth Dew, but in my opinion this one is way worse! It’s the most disgusting, repulsive, and downright offensive perfume I’ve ever smelled and I’ve worked in fragrance for years...The first time I smelled it I completely lost my appetite and couldn’t eat the entire rest of the day it made me so sick. I love sweet gourmand scents and I’m confused how this is described as sweet or candy by some reviewers because it smells like repugnant chemicals or cleaning products. I’m not sure how to describe it, I wish I could think of notes but I must hold my breath around it so that’s hard. I would use this if you want people around you to go away. I couldn’t even stand anywhere near my coworker who sprayed this on herself. And unsurprisingly I’ve never sold one! I felt obligated to write this review to warn people not to blind buy it, go smell it before you decide.

To me, the opening spray is super sweet, almost alcoholic, peachy, pear-like, and definitely candyish. I thought it was *meh*, not unpleasant, but it goes away after less than a minute, so it doesn't really matter to me. The initial dry-down is more mature, and the osmanthus becomes more obvious and less (but still slightly) sweet. The sillage is at least arm's length, because I was in the car with my fiance when I was wearing this, and he said it smelled like watermelon-scented children's hand sanitizer. I disagree with this, but buyer beware. An hour into the wear, the Labdanum shows itself and that's what I prefer. It's leathery and feminine and sweet. When I first smelled after an hour or two of initial wear, I thought "Oh, this stinks" and then went in for another long whiff. It's smelly in a really good way. Pungent and pheromonal; super animalic and really really sexy. The perfume lasts the entire day, especially the osmanthus and labdanum (emphasis on the leather). I put it on overnight to test it, and it was only at 3pm the next afternoon that I couldn't smell it anymore. I've never smelled anything like it, and it's a good feminine animalic for girls who lean on the more masculine side of perfumery.

The opening of PM reminded me of the candied fruits in HdP 1889 Moulin Rouge, and as it settles, I detect a powdery similarity to the dry down of TF Rose de Chine, but without the florals. Unlike the light osmanthus scents I'm used to, PM is unexpectedly not a bright scent. My initial expectation of a delicate fragrance came from my first experience with osmanthus in a Chinese jelly dessert and L’erbolario Osmanthus. However, PM aligns more with the depth of Burberry Society, sharing a condensed interpretation of this floral note.

Paradise Moon is a name that belies the juice lying within; there is nothing luminous about it, but it does feel somehow nocturnal. Labdanum lovers will have their toes curl as this glorious component stands front and center from its flight to its drydown, and paired with osmanthus, is a marriage made in heaven. A celebration of florals and balsamic resin dances over a diaphanous leather trail. The result; an addictive labdanum bomb treated with respect and panache.

This is the only one in this line I don’t really care for. I don’t know if I would say it’s a bad scent, it’s just not something that really speak to me. I struggle to really fully appreciate the Osmanthus here and I guess I just don’t quite understand it, or who it’s for, or where you’d wear this to. I suppose if you liked leather you’d like this but I don’t really identify the leather notes either. Idk. You just have to try it yourself to see if it’s for you.

I absolutely love this composition. It’s sweet, yet not gourmand. Very clean, perhaps because of the amber accords. Even though it is wearable, it is unique and will capture the attention of a sophisticated nose. The dry down is creamy and sweet, almost addicting. I love it, but it doesn’t smell like me so I will pass.

How are people no smelling the leather? This smells like a new handbag to me (in the best way possible of course) There are hints of cool powdery florals, there's a touch of sweetness too, but overall this smells like a designer store full of leather goods. If you're going for the "I'm rich" smell, this is it!

By notes, and how the Estee Lauder presents Paradise Moon, this was the second one I decided to buy, and I am waiting to receive it. The perfumer is RODRIGO FLORES-ROUX listed on the Estee Lauder website. He is known for Hidden Fantasy, Clinique Happy, With Love.

lovely balsamic perfume and kind fruity something is hidden because there is a vibe is like fruit notes and its charm it's fantastic for work or everyday using because is not too complicated, simple and elegant. Overall: 7.5/10

This is a nice inoffensive Leather. Probably my fave from the "Collection". The only other one I own is Infinite Sky. I like this a little better. ;). Def Unisex, but not too masculine.

Exquisite, lemony osmanthus with a light touch of leather. Very airy and beautiful. Reminds me of Osmanthe Yunnan Hermes, only a little bit more feminin.

Has the same hot floral stuffiness as Pictor Parfums Aperture, & also Timelapse. Really wasn't keen. A hot stale room full of Elnet.

Smells like an unfrozen icy pole initially. The dry down is a light musk. Pleasant, but not overly impressive or memorable.
