A+ classy and clean for the WIN! It has a nice citrus opening blended with spicy florals. At this point ... it sort of reminds me of the same feeling I get when smelling Burberry Touch. In the drydown you pretty much lose most of the citrus and are left with spicy florals with a touch of sandalwood. So, there seems to be a masculine/feminine/unisex debate. Well, I'm 67 and if I would have smelled this "back in the day" when I was wearing my masculine powerhouse fragrances ... I definitely would have said it leaned on the feminine side. But ... since then guys have become accustomed to more unisex or men's fragrances that are sweet leaning ... including many floral notes. So ... my take ... as I evaluate it today ... it's a masculine leaning fragrance that could be considered unisex by some. Because of the spice and the sandalwood it really does lean a little more masculine to create a nice, fresh, slightly soapy, spicy floral forward fragrance that has a touch of sandalwood in the drydown. Who should like this ... guys who like Azarro Chrome, Nautica Classic, Uomo Moschino, Burberry Touch, Alfred Sung Hei, Lacoste Blanc (to a slight degree), Eternity for Men or even Versache Pour Homme ... or any other fresh, clean, soapy, spicy, floral leaning fragrance. If this sounds good ... get this oldie ... especially since it's also a great budget buy, too!

I have many fragrances, some that I like, some that I love and some that have a very special place in my heart. I usually wear those at specific times of the year. M7 in the winter, Balenciaga pour homme or vintage Kouros in Spring...and then there is Pleasures for men by Estee Lauder. This eau de toilette has nothing pretentious. It is a nice fresh clean springy smell that brings me back to the year 1998. And you can buy a bottle in a shop today and it will still have the same smell. Some do not like it, fair enough. At the end of the day, a fragrance is all about personnal taste and you cannot convince someone to change their taste because you like something that they find "whatever!" or can't bother about all the fuss. But, let's go back to this fragrance. What I like in this one is this nice fresh floral smell which can linger on my skin for a reasonable time. No matter whenever I spritz it on my skin or clothes I am brought back over 20 years ago when I was living near South Ken in London. What a time has passed by. And I still sherish this eau de toilette for the pleasures it gives me and the memories it brings back to me. This is what a great frangrance does. Make you travel through time and enjoyment. Long live this nice and simple fragrance!

I bought this around the time it came out. I don't remember if it was the late 90s or the early 2000s, and there doesn't seem to be a launch year listed here. Anyway, this is a pleasant, clean, almost otherworldly fragrance that blends its ingredients so seamlessly that it's hard to pick out individual notes. It's fruity and floral mostly, which doesn't sound too masculine, but it works. The base notes are rich, even a little creamy. Again, hard to pick out individuals. I suppose the creaminess is thanks to the benzoin/sandalwood combination. The fruits and florals, with the subtle spice notes (pepper, ginger, and coriander), create a vibe akin to freshly laundered clean linen hanging outside on a warm summer day, next to a garden of white flowers, while you catch a faint nuance of a vanilla scented candle wafting from the open window and a cool aquatic breeze wafting past from the nearby beach. It's all warmed by the mid June afternoon sun. I originally marked this as a like, but I upgraded to a love, smiling as I remember the scent. Pleasures, indeed. 8.5/10

I've found a bottle of this classic in a Burlington for only $22 so I grabed it without hesitation. This was my middle school signature scent back in 1997. I still remember I was with my mom at a SEARS and she tried the women's version and bought it. It was around my birthday so she asked to try the male version and bought it for me too. I always loved it how strong and puncturing it's opening was with a Green Blast to the nostrils . . . . It would wake an hybernatimg bear . . . . The mixture with roses was so good. Back to 2025 when I bought it again . . . . Yes I still smell it but man . . . . The reformulation has been CRUEL . . . . . It has lost the strength it had back then and it's pretty understandable. Is not TOTALLY BAD because now this can be a PERFECT Gym scent for me . . . . The nostalgic feeling that it evoques is right there very present. Thats why I love fragrances so much and for $22 is a no brainer. I dont know how much ot costed back in the late 90's thou.

Pleasures is a for men perfume that is very safe to wear for banging, hence the name and why a lot of chicks probably rated it as "unisex". Blind bang safe. 2 hours longevity is just enough for that purpose ;) In all seriousness, I had a bottle back in the end of the 90s when it was launched - completely finished it back then, used it as signature scent and moved on. Recently saw it for a good price and decided to grab one. Batch 81323066 from March 2023, smells delicious, just as I remember it. Having more experience with different scents, I come to appreciate this scent even more - what a combination of notes, provides a very unique fresh olfactory experience. There's nothing like it, but maybe this is just personal nostalgia from my "How I Met Your Mother" days. Worth smelling it, and probably blind buy safe if your discounter has a good deal on it.

Green and zingy in the opening. Some pepper and wood start to appear as it dries. Modest performance with disappointing to moderate projection. For the 35+ crowd and office friendly. This scent was created by 3 MPs who are known for creating some of the classics we all know and love today. It presents with DNA similar but not identical to Banana Republic Classic, Good Life by Davidoff, and Joop’s What About Adam, among others. Again very green, vegetal, zingy, peppery and woody could be used to describe this. I assure you: women gravitate to this. It hits that nostalgic button inside the nose of many. But it doesn’t perform well so be prepared to overspray. If you can find this in the $30 range it’s worth a shot. Above that? Sample. It may not be for you. I stumbled across this one a decade after it was introduced and have been trying to make up for it ever since. I always toyed with the idea of wearing Pleasures for Women, but who cares about that now when you meet this stunner! It's a clean, intriguing, masculine floral--not an overpowering floral, but a floral that is icy, almost wintry even. Staying power is excellent (over 15 hours on me), and it possesses just enough sillage to have people walk by you again to ask what it is you're wearing. Reminds me of the color silver, for some reason, so its attractive bottle and packaging (to me, at least) are an artistic triumph. Although very versatile--it can be worn casually or elegantly--I enjoy wearing Pleasures most when I'm suited up.

What can I say, it's fresh/warm and spicey goodness. This was for a long time my signature scent. Heck, I've been wearing this one since high school, nearly 18 years ago! The scent will always take me back, and for that I love it. It's given me more compliments over the years than I could even pretend to recall, and I've been through numerous bottles. I'll continue to buy this one as long as it's sold. No one ever, in the nearly 20yrs of wearing this has ever had anything bad to say about it. Literally, every girl I have ever been around has liked it (all ex's and my now wife included). This is probably one of the safest buys in the men's cologne game. If you just want a rock solid workhorse, this is it.

I remember working in a perfumery during the launch of this, the late nineties was a great time for mens fragrances. Estee Lauder had Lauder for Men, but this was seen as a big deal. I'd agree it's in the same realms as Eternity, but I like this one more. Ultra fresh and clean, it's fruity and floral, definitely aquatic, one of those aromatic fragrances that were once so popular. I can't imagine anyone saying they dislike it, as it is so inoffensive. It's comforting to wear, lasts about four hours, projection is moderate. You will feel clean and awake wearing it. I always thought this deserved to be bigger, I'm not a big fan of Estee Lauder fragrances, but this is wonderful stuff.

I live in a city where in any given day or situation you will experience the latest and greatest scents that money can buy just walking around. Yet this cologne makes any man appear 40% more attractive to me. After years of smelling trails at school, college and work, I've loved this cologne so much, that I've bought several bottles for my dad and ex's, just so I can appreciate the scent. Now, I even thought of buying a bottle for myself so I can just enjoy it. It's that wonderful, and I ask people to try this still very great scent. It smells like Mr. Attractive Kind Thoughtful who Feels Great about Himself Fresh Citrus and Hidden Sweet. Spray on clothes and pulse points!!

I may be one of the few people who must have done it in the recent years but in the 2000s may have been more common. What I’m talking about is layering this fragrance with Dior’s Fahrenheit. Oh it just becomes so much stronger and smoother and just takes me back to college days! Amazing layering combo. If anyone who reads this and has both you must try it. Spray pleasures for men by Estée first followed by Fahrenheit by Dior! Amazing amazing amazing. Especially for a night out! Both of these fragrances which I’m using are of batches from the last 10 years so not extremely vintage.

This is another "signature" for me. This is an uncomplicated, masculine, and energizing scent. Powerful, but not overwhelming up front, with vibrant, bitter, citrus notes (grapefruit is most prominent). This leads to middle notes of white pepper and rose/geranium florals which give it a clean, soap/shower aroma. The dry down is mild sandalwood,oakmoss(which retains a slight earthiness), and orange blossom. Perfect amount of sillage and as is the case with most Lauder fragrances: excellent longevity. Highly recommended for daytime wear all year or summer day or night.

It is reminiscent of a green version of Cool Water with a bit of Good Life mixed in. When I first encountered it, it didn't particularly fuss me, but it has grown on my over the years to a point where I really quite like it. Perhaps it is an age thing as Pleasures is a quite reserved scent that doesn't scream out for attention, which suits me now that I am older. It is definitely more citrus aromatic than anything else but while it has real staying power, it never overwhelms. Definitely one for all seasons and anytime of day.

This is a great one, perhaps my favorite. Simple, clean, elegant and light. I have been wearing it off and on since 1998, although I have never let my supply run out. I mostly love this one because it is subtle, my preferred cologne to wear casually. Family gatherings, kids baseball or soccer games etc. Not a soul will be put off when you wear it. At least that's what I have found after fifteen years of wearing Pleasures. The most important thing is I just feel happy when I'm wearing it. Pleasurable? Definately.

I must admit i've fallen back in love with this, i've ignored all things Estee Lauder for over ten years, but gave it a go and picked up a 100ml. I find some of the notes difficult to pick out, with the exception of the gloriously chemically grapefruit, which is stunning. It's quite soapy, and lasts/projects very well. It stands out, not like anything else i know. I think i'll keep it for the Summer, perfect for hot summer evenings :-)

Worked for Estée Lauder right out of college and was “forced” to wear this, as the only other scent for men at the time was the bold, 80’s-fougere Lauder for Men. At the time I liked it but got so sick of it after a while. Haven’t worn it in 24 years, but now that I smell it again, it invokes those amazing memories of my youth. It’s fresh, clean, and a great summer scent that doesn’t really fall into any sort of aqua or blue category.

Clean, floral, green, soapy, unisex... I used to love it when it came out in 1997, Now I'm 38 and got me a small 50ml so I can reconnect. And yes... I'm smelling the innocence, literally feeling my young dreams and vibes. It's nice for me to keep a bottle around but I doubt that I will actually use it :P UPDATE: I am actually starting to reconnect with this fragrance - and loving it again!

I wore this as my signature scent for decades. The nostalgia factor is real... rated it LOVE for that reason. I do still really love it, but there is a HUGE number of better options these days. Pretty much any fresh blue fragrance is going to outperform and (subjectively, of course) smell just as good or better. But hey, I still love this classic!

Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men, Burberry Touch for men, CK Contradiction - these take me back to my high school, carefree days. never knew why I loved those fragrances so much since then, they are not for a high school kid that is for sure ! :D i have about 90+ fragrance in my collection but these always hold a special place in my heart!

I love this fragrance on men and I’ve also enjoyed wearing it myself though it’s been a while. The bottle I had was from the 90’s so I’m hoping it hasn’t changed like the women’s one has :( I prefer Pleasure’s for Men to Pleasure’s for women’s on me and I agree with Crystals On My Converse that this is definitely a unisex(y) fragrance!

This smell is so nice, fresh and clean. I had it on for the first time from a sample and my girl was sniffing on my neck and said, what are you wearing? it smells really good. Than i told her what it was, so i knew i had to get me a bottle. Sillage and Projection are excellent as well. Made this my Signature scent 10/10

Definitely the best EDT I have in my collection. Gifted casually by wifey coming back from her own perfume buying spree. Floral, spicy, woody and intimate, the moment you apply, you feel happy for yourself. But for the political stance of the company, I would have bought a new bottle.

This was what my dad wore. He died when I was 11, almost 15 years ago. I still have his old bottle but the smell is obviously gone now. I want to get a new one because smells just automatically take you back but apparently it’s been reformulated? I hope not too much. I loved this.

just to add to my earlier review: many many sprays of this beautiful fragrance and layering it with Molecule 01. I just have one word for it. WOW! if you have are lucky enough to have both of them in your collection, please try it if you haven't already! just amazing!

I got to smell this yesterday and was shocked. This is nice! There is a summery ...light.... Happy feel with this. It doesnt smell cheap or over produced. It doesnt even have a familiar vibe either that screams everyone wears it. I would buy this one for sure.

I love it! Fresh, fruity, light floral and mild citrusy, clean, manly and versatile scent. Dominant notes are grapefruit, nectarine and sea notes. Moderate performance overall. A hidden gem which remindd me something from Dzintars house.

This should be a classic staple in every man's collection, especially for the price. I reach for this when I don't feel like using up my bottle of Chanel Platinum egoiste; it gives me a similar vibe. I find this scent very calming!

About as classic as it gets. Quintessential 90s/early 00s. Citrus/fruit, water and wood. Familiar and inviting. If you’re fond of this particular profile and if the price is right, it’s a total no brainer.

Clean, green, fresh, smooth, magnetic; within the same spectrum as Green Irish Tweed/Yardley 442 classic/Cool water/Aspen/Armaf Tres nuit. If you like any of these, do try them all!

The perfect definition of fresh out of the shower. To be honest, I can't pick out any individual notes in this one. It just smells like freshly washed skin. And it's brilliant.

A Classic, always a favorite unique scent and the ladies always love it. I've had several bottles over the years scent never gets old to me 10/10

Well, folks...this is the first year that the EL counter did NOT have the four piece mens giftsets (much to my chagrin)for Christmas; so I got samples of all the ones I wanted to try... Pleasures for Men is really nice. If Intuition for men is spring into summer, this is summer into fall/winter. This opens with a lovely fruitiness that is so balanced by the tart grapefruit and the succulent nectarine, and the greens are just great along with the "sky air" accord (aldehydes/ozone?). The pepper is evident from the first spritz but is not sneeze-inducing or too too spicy, the heart is dominated by dry florals (lavender and geranium) and the subtle rose is so elegant-like a boutaineer in a man's tuxedo lapel. The herbs and a warm (not too juicy) ginger bring the whole thing to life and keep it lively, without overpowering the clean flowers. The drydown is where it gets even more autumnal: soapy creamy sandalwood, rich cinna-vanillic benzoin and oakmoss bring to mind changing leaves and sunny (but shorter) days. This has something very cool and refined in it. It gives one an air of being fashionable and looking and feeling "smart" or sharp... Sillage: okay Longevity: good Overall: 3.75/5 PFM is something I would wear to work, or with a casual dress outfit. It is equally appropriate for a date or family outing/gathering. I find it very appealing and think most others would as well. Here, and other sites that I have read reviews of this on, the only negative feedback or complaint has been the longevity. On me, it does just fine in that department; but after about an hour, I cannot smell it...but others notice it! There is something in this that does remind one of Cool Water, but only in the drydown, and even then it is more airy than aquatic...

If you’ve seen the commercial, which I watched on YouTube after my friend gave me a bottle, the vibe matches exactly that. Pleasures for Men is a father wearing a polo shirt while playing with his golden retriever and his three year old daughter. It’s nice and casual, sunny, yet still put together with no pressure. More mature and hardened by life, yet still finding joy - a day perfume that I enjoy in my 30s. This is what a nice dad smells on a Sunday. He is a man who finds rest after a week of hard work. It’s a watery lavender grapefruit, on a bed of dry nectarine with fresh leaves. With a hint of pepper and oakmoss to give it that classic men’s cologne. Ginger is at the back like sunlight on the lawn, just there shining. It changes a little and does not last long in hot humudity, at most 3-4 hours on clothes. I get the part where it might smell feminine and I do see women enjoying this for office days too. I’ve always enjoyed cardamom, ginger, lemons for my day scents - this one offers a nice break from that. Where I’m not forced to be so cheerful, the watery notes help give it a solemn feeling. It’s an 8/10 that I will keep on wearing, because I don’t need to be 10/10 everyday.

Fresh, peachy ,green. it’s really capsulate the 90’s in a bottle. On the first splash it smells pretty unisex, but after it dries down into the mid and base notes i can get the ‘Eternity’ comparisons, And thats when the masculinity of it is more present. i remember back then in my teen days, smelling this will be intoxicating to me , but since those scents were so popular then, they’ve been emulated into all kind of cheap deodorants, aftershaves and shower gels, one could’ve smell everywhere, so 30 years later it doesn’t smell so special anymore ... Nevertheless! This is still a good buy! I found it online for less than 20 bucks, it’s super inoffensive, could be a good casual frag for work/gym and outdoor activities . And really nice freshener for warm summer days. Performance is descent. It will last 3-4 hours but then it’s gone . But you can splash a lot of it due to its inoffensiveness . I give 7.5/10 for the nostalgia factor

Sampled this at the EL counter and decided on Beyond Paradise instead. They had this, Intuition and BP for men (no Lauder-I really wanted to try that one)and BPfM stood out the most to me although this one is quite nice... The unique fruity accord blends well with the greens for a sweet fresh approach. The heart is an a blend of very manly florals and smooth spices and, what I guess from the tester notes is, the SKY AIR(?) accord. This finishes warm, green and woody. Pleasurable? Indeed... I will be buying one of the four piece gift sets at Christmas time (a little holiday love for myself) that contain all four EL Men's scents bottled in 1/2 oz sprays. At that time I will give a better review of this, as sillage can be judged when testing something in the store, but longevity and overall appeal cannot...

How to describe Estee Lauder Pleasures for Men...well, it's sweet, aromatic and has some floral tones. To be honest, I detect no discernible notes to my scent pallet - just the accords I previously mentioned. Moreover, there are some things I like about this fragrance and some things I don't. I didn't like the opening. I found it to be overly sweet and, to me, the scent struck me as being way too feminine for my tastes. However, this stage lasted only a few minutes as the woody tones pushed forward to join the aromatic elements. It was certainly a pleasant enough scent, but too sweet for me. Also, Pleasures has a fair-amount of that department store baloney-cologney DNA...people pleasing, but frag heads will find it a bit generic. Overall, this fragrance isn't for me but it is not a bad scent at all.

My first exposure to this DNA was in the early 2000s through an inspired perfume line called 'Prescripto'. Yes, we already had clones back then. But they were not yet called 'dupes' or 'clones' but just 'inspired fragrances'. Fast forward to 2024 and I finally got the real thing. Smelling the real deal for the first time took me back to those times. They smell similar but the difference, of course, is that the real Pleasures is a lot smoother...bordering on being a refreshing fruity gourmand. Higher quality raw materials will do that. Dry down reminds me of CK Eternity. All in all, I'm just happy that, after all these years, I finally got this in my collection.💯

The love of my life wore this, so I'm biased in favor of Pleasures for Men. That out of the way, there is a very harsh spicy citrus start to this fragrance but after this fades it is rosy, sandalwood, and soap. I often find women don't like this on men because the scent is rather on the feminine side of fougeres. I it's a very happy, non threatening fragrance. Good for office wear because the sillage is pretty light and it makes you smell clean more than anything else. I like it a lot. If you are really daring I guess you would be bored by Pleasures for Men but otherwise you'll probably find it comforting rather than arousing or enchanting or exciting.

A greener Irish Tweed ? No, seriously this may not have that much to do with GIT as the ambergris base is not present, but it certainly has quite some similarities to the million-bottle-selling Cool Water by Davidoff (the vintage version that is), including the aquatic notes, a hint of musk and a bit of calone. Overall it's synthetic but fresh, floral and fruity. I find it really hard to make out the different notes in this scent, but why there is no violet leaf listed in the note pyramid is beyond my understanding. Longevity is actually surprisingly good and sillage is acceptable, I find it a nice casual wear for spring or even summer.

Pleasures for men is an aromatic fruity which is a very good choice for summer. The nectarine note is a killer. Like all Lauder fragrances this one also has a synthetic feel but the uniqueness of the scent is well worth it I say. Pleasures has good sillage and longevity and is unlike the aquatics (like Acqua di Gio, AqVa etc). It has the charm and energy of a 22 year old man, who is dying to try his pick-up tricks on ladies coming summer. When I smell Pleasures for men it conjures up images of a young man who is waiting for the summer to unleash his primal energy to attract women. Pleasures for men is a sexy cologne.

Nose Note #478 On my it's very weak and it has minimal sillage. Only slight similarity to CK Eternity, which is more bitter and more juicy to my nose. This one is a tiny bit fruity typical of its time aromatic fougere, softer than Eternity. The performance is so bad that it's difficult to talk about it at length. I bought an official sample and it's absolutely appaling. But I'll still give it 5/5, because I like this style of perfumery. On second thought, it does resemble Eternity! 7.5/10, performance is depressing

Man, I can see how this used to be a big thing. It's such a fresh, invigorating fragrance and has an exquisite note pyramid. It's got a lot of lavender like all '90s aromatics but the supporting notes give it more character than most. The sample I got has horrible performance, though. I suspect it's because of reformulation but not 100% sure. It just doesn't leap off my skin at all which is super unfortunate.

Straightforward and bland but nevertheless good perfume from estee lauder! I don't get any rose or nectarine... For me it's all about ginger, grapefruit and spices... Not bad but not new or different! Tested on my skin, it's sillage is weak and 3 to 4 hours longevity. Overall: 6/10

Smells airy, fresh, clean, it's soft and nice, definitely not cheap smelling. However, the longevity and sillage are very minimal unfortunately, around an hour of projection, 2-3 hours of lasting time. That's it. So can't recommend it to anyone.
