Serene Sierra

If you want a delectable floral gourmand which smells different than most of the perfumes currently on the market, on the moderate side when it comes to the performance, Serene Sierra should be the next scent to try. It’s the perfect mimosa perfume for warm weather in my opinion! In the same time, if you want something that features heavily mimosa flowers get yourself a sample of Serene Sierra. Not many brands highlight this gorgeous flower! It’s sweet without being cloying or sickly sweet. It’s nutty without being dusty, earthy or oily. It’s just right in the middle of everything, an exquisite balance of mimosa in full bloom, rich, gooey honey and unsweetened pistachios. I would go as far to say that it smells like it would have something like vanilla or tonka beans in the base but it’s not listed. Compared to Velvet Splendour by G&B, another great mimosa scent I have, Serene Sierra is a lighter, subtle mimosa perfume, still sweet and powdery, but airier. It has a more simplistic composition but I like it a lot more than I have anticipated when I’ve seen the very simplistic pyramid notes. I have sprayed my 2 ml sample twice on my hand before going to bed three nights in a row and I could still smell on the skin next morning. So it does last long, but it doesn’t project much, sits close to skin. It’s an intimate scent. To put it simply, I would say Serene Sierra is the type of mimosa scent suitable for warm seasons while Velvet Splendour would be the mimosa focused scent for fall and winter. Depending on what kind of climate you are living in for most of the year, you might choose one over the other. But you can’t go wrong with either if you love sweet mimosa scents! On my to buy list for next summer! It’s not outrageously expensive and performs quite well! I am new to this Estée Lauder luxury collection so I didn’t knew what to expect. It’s not looking bad as first experience! I have ordered a sample of Radiant Mirage to try next because I love patchouli! Cannot wait to get my nose on it...

Wow. It's been a long time since I've fallen in love with a perfume at first sniff - I had to buy it immediately. Beautifully comforting - love the honey, mimosa and particularly the nutty pistachio. Lasts really well on my skin, a good 7 hours (more on clothes). Good projection (I found just a couple of tiny sprays on my wrists plenty, so the bottle will last ages). Floral, sweet - but not in a sickly or teenage way, yet still fresh, and warm. A sophisticated perfume and I definitely don't get the cheap analogy from a previous review - nothing cheap smelling here, it smells expensive and well constructed. I tend to prefer green or incense scents in general, so this one is a bit of a departure for me, but I'm loving it. I would be happy to wear this year round in all seasons. I hope Estée Lauder make this a permanent part of their collection.

I was curious about this as I love pistachio and was a bit disappointed to read that the pistachio note is not very strong, but as I was waiting for a train back from London I popped into Boots and tried it. At first I only smelled mimosa and after 30 minutes the pistachio came out. I was obsessed with it. I bought a bottle and I am enjoying it, during the day in the office and even at night, before bed. It is very sweet, I now pick up the honey note as well but to me it is super comforting. It lasts a good 6 to 12 hours on my skin, longer on clothes 💚💛🍯

I am so bummed this is limited edition. I really liked it! Would have even potentially made it my new day time signature. Really sweet, nutty delicious honey that actually lasted and packed a punch. Boarded on powdery. Pistachio is a note a struggle to get to be pronounced on my skin and here it was perfect. I really hate Estee Lauder fragrances so this is a double gut punch. Please bring this back! I have a rule of never buying limited editions (I don’t want to get attached) but I am SO tempted....

I really loved this scent when I sampled it in Boots so I bought a full size - the opening is just gorgeous and I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist, light sweet honey explosion. Adored the nutty pistachio. It settles strong and for me the mimosa became too overpowering and far too powdery that I couldn't tolerate it and it gave me headaches. It's one of those that I would enjoy smelling on a friend when I would reach in for a hug hello or goodbye, but I ended up selling mine on eBay.

This is so creamy! I thought it had milk, whipped cream, or marshmallow note, but I don’t see it listed here. I am guessing this lactonic scent is from milked pistachio? Quite unusual for an Estée Lauder perfume to be this milky, even creamier than Bronze Goddess EDP or Nuit. I like both. I think Serene Sierra is very pleasant. My partner likes it a lot, too. I have also been decluttering my too-many-perfumes, but he said I should not declutter this one. ☺️😉 The only other pistachio perfumes I have are Zara’s Moonlight Whisper and its intense version. The regular MW has cardamom and is thus more aromatic. Of the 3, Serene Sierra is the creamiest. I like all of the three for the different representations of the green nut. Update: 01/29/2025 I wore this again today. I like it. Even though it says there’s honey, I don’t find it to be a sweet perfume, which I am glad about. I have been sniffing too many gourmand, sweet perfumes lately (during winter) that I like this better. Creamy tends to go well in the winter, and it’s softly nutty. I wish I could get more mimosa note, and I will try layering with a mimosa perfume.

Nice perfume, I feel like this could be such a cute signature scent for a teacher or something as it's a floral not too gourmand gourmand. The mimosa is interesting against the pistachio although I definitely felt like the mimosa was a top note and disappeared after half an hour almost fully and the rest smelled a lot like sol de Janeiro Cheriosa 62 to me. Another note, although I'm not allergic to pistachio I am allergic to other nuts and I did feel strangely aggravated by this scent for a while? Maybe just psychological but I was sneezing like crazy and lips were a little swollen😬 it wore off with an antihistamine and I was obviously fine but I still don't recommend for anyone with a nut allergy.

It opens with warm, enveloping honey, followed by delicate mimosa that brings a softly powdery freshness. After a while, a sweet, creamy note of roasted pistachio emerges. It is the pistachio that gives the composition its addictive, distinctly feminine character. On my skin, the longevity is around five hours with moderate projection, while on clothes the scent lasts all day.

Very creamy, round fragrance. First spray you get the honey and mimosa. Followed quickly by the pistachio. This has a softness about it, like wearing a cozy blanket. The dry down is pistachio. It's not a very complex fragrance, its is exactly what the ingredients suggest. Pistachio mainly with a hint of mimosa. It's lovely. Not sexy or empowering. It's one of those fragrances where you blend in with the crowd.soft and easy to wear. Not my cup of tea for this price. But then I like my perfumes to announce my arrival. Edit: I've woken up this morning, this fragrance is still detectable on my skin. It has a tonka like drydown..reminds me of feve tonka.

Agreed, generic yellow floral with some sweetness. If I wouldn’t look at the notes I could not pick out pistachio. It is pleasant, probably best from this line (do not like any others at all), but not for me still.

Nope, this is not one for me. The initial spray is ok.. if not outstanding.. just a pretty generic light floral. (Think the phrase 'it's fine' represented in fragrance form). The drydown, though, brings forward something that I really don't like, and there really isn't enough in the notes to give a clue what it may be (i like pistachio, so it is not that). Not truly offensive, but I did have to scrub it.

Awful. My mum's just found a little vial of this she'd been given and sprayed it on her arm and we're both regretting it. Just smells so cheap and cloying, not sure what Lauder were doing putting it in the 'luxury' range.

Smells simple and cheap, following current vanilla-ish trend. Unremarkable.

Cheap basic a@& smelling fragrance in a nice bottle with pretty name. If this was £6.99 I would say its worth the money- to throw in your bag, use when you go hiking, freshen your car, or in the plane, spray in your bathroom, or spray around the office kitchen or on the table before you wipe it down. Forgettable, generic, basic and utterly meh.... disappointed.... what is going on..?

I had to come back to say it gets better and better , longevity is fantastic and the projection is very good too . Heavenly honnied.. I genuinely don’t think I have an understanding of the pistachio note in general .. I can smell a bit of mimosa and At times it it is reminiscent of Guerlain Champs Elysees the old bottle .. Final note , absolutely divine and classy .

So I bought it .. I am very surprised about the cheap smell analogy .. there is nothing cheap in the composition , it smells luxurious and the longevity is impressive. I must admit I can’t smell the pistachio at all but the mimosa and honey is quite prevalent. It is also reminiscent of Guerlain s Champs Elysees. It smells classy .. but each to their own..

I've been searching for a small sample of this one in the USA since this is the only one in the line that I never got a chance to smell. Please message me if you know where I can get a sample of this one. It looks like a lovely scent!

I sampled it recently , it made a great impression on me as florals are not normally my go to ..The sample still smells amazingly strong .. I would say projection is good .. I am definitely considering buying it ..
