Dangerous Complicity

I got a few samples of this and kept coming back to it. On the same day I got 500 years, La Fin du Monde, and Une Amourette. 500 years was my obvious favorite, but I'm not going to fork over $225. Anyway, Dangerous Complicity was next best. I couldn't really put my finger on exactly why I was so drawn to it. It has slightly powdery, fruity apricot osmanthus and tea like scent. The bay leaf really comes through on me, and reminds me of Lalique le Parfum. It's very pretty and easy to wear. Nothing groundbreaking, but I was tempted to buy a full bottle, and I couldn't figure out why. It's not really a sexy scent, the name is misleading, I agree with the other reviews. I'm a Mugler girl, Womanity and its flankers are my faves. I prefer loud, unique scents with massive sillage and longevity. This has low to moderate sillage and moderate longevity on skin. Lasts longer on clothing and hair. For me, Dangerous Complicity is not what I would normally gravitate to. This morning I figured out the attraction. I sprayed some on at 8 am, and a couple of hours later I was working out and it hit me. It reminds me of a softer more mature Exclamation by Coty!!! Exclamation was my first perfume, I practically bathed in it as a 9-12 year old. It made me feel so grown up. So it's nostalgia that is making me crave this fragrance. Coty Exclamation, with a dash of grown up Le Lalique Parfum. Edit-2/28: I gave in and bought the medium sized 1.7 bottle. I knew with it longevity and sillage issues I would burn through 1oz. I considered buying 3.4 oz but it is not a strong enough love for that. Infatuation for now. Edit 3/6- I got 11 hours longevity today without reapplying! It's not as weak as I thought. Sillage is still on the low side of moderate

My older sister gave me a number of samples from ELD many years ago when I was young, dumb, and lacked taste for the finer things in life. It's intoxicating. I'm not sure why some people find the opening to be underwhelming. To me personally it's the best part. It's a colorful explosion of passionate energy, screaming in your face in the best way. Maybe it's because I'm working with an old batch from 2018-19. For a good two minutes immediately after the opening, it smells like an atrocious and distasteful old lady scent before settling into the exhilarating mid notes. During the drydown it evolves into this quietly confident fragrance that makes me happy. The opening brought me back to my childhood, biking to dollar tree to waste money on candy. After that, I'd picture a woman wearing this at night. It's mysterious and confident. The combination of osmanthus (which I'm finding to be one of my favorite fragrance notes), ylang ylang, and jasmine is perfectly blended. As Spaceybailey said in her review below mine, this is not a powdery fragrance at all. It's just juicy, candy florals in an artistic expression of scent. To me this leans more feminine. I genuinely want to wear this out, but I'm afraid of the roasting I'd get from the boys. It's a beautiful night time fragrance. If a girl I'd never met before walked past me wearing this, I'd put a ring on it, no questions asked.

poor misunderstood dangerous complicity. it just goes to show how consequential a name can be ! in my mind, it is not meant to smell dangerous. it's meant to smell innocent, and dangerously so ! which is why it's...dangerous to be....complicit (it's in the name !). ANYWAY, like most reviewers, the first time i smelled this i was underwhelmed. nothing special, perhaps even (shock ! horror !) conventional. i moved on, and tried it again weeks later, and this time something happened: i couldn't stop smelling myself. it was exhilarating. the sweet booziness of the rum mixed with the creaminess of the cashmere wood and coconut was pleasant, but the osmanthus was a revelation for me. it may border on the conventional, but there is nothing teenybopper mall scent about this (i assure you). the osmanthus and ylang ylang grow it up -- this girl has come of age, and she's curious and open to what the world has to offer; any lingering naïveté gives her strength. it's a mood lifter, it's optimistic, and it holds the potential to charm the jaded (how dangerous then indeed, actually). but don't be fooled: you don't have to be young to wear this--just sensual. i never want to be without her. consider me complicit.

Oh my god, this smells like heaven. I didn't expect to love this fragrance as much as I did. This is so invigorating, complex, delicious, and exciting. When I first spread this on my arm, I got a wiff of strong florals and bright greens. I could definitely smell ylang-ylang, backed up by some deeper, richer green notes. Mabey, it was the bay leaf of calamuas. Then, as I let the opening develop more, I smelled coconut, and then some of the wood finally came in. This was so rich and complex; every note played off of each other in such a beautiful way. It had this calming and warm green herbal smell that I just couldn't stop smelling. In the drydown, I got a bit more of that spice, and the floars faded. It now smells like a sexy, green, spicey, woody fragrance. It was intoxatingly spicy yet sweet. This is a very unisex fragrance; the florals in the opening are great, and the woody, hardy green base really rounds it out. This lasts forever, and the project is great. I really fell in love with his fragrance. It is perfection in a bottle. This is a 10/10 fragrance everything about it is perfect.

I was looking for a more unisex scent - I usually go for more feminine florals - and bought this after I saw a review online. At first I didn't really know how to feel about it, the way it smells the first couple of minutes reminds me of something that I can't really seems to place. The dry down is really lovely however. There is a soft sweetness to it that I really enjoy with a little bit of spicyness. The coconut doesn't feel overpowering or 'sunscreeny' at all, but is more reminiscent of the soothing addition of coconut milk to a well balanced dish if that makes sense 😅 I've really grown to love this one. Seems more suitable for spring, summer and autumn than for winter. I'd wear this any time of the day depending on the occasion. Maybe more of an 'evening with friends' than date night type of scent. I would go for something more feminine for the latter occasion, but that's up to personal preference I supppose.

For some reason i had always read this title as 'dangerous compliancy' which i think is much more suitable as an idea of the message of this perfume. In which case i thought they meant to make a statement about the seduction of being ruled and eventually taken over by the ordinary. As that statement i think this scent totally works. Its approachable, likable. Nothing that will take you away from what you have already seen. But it will make you feel comfortable and at ease with the ordinary mundane aspects of social life. A little loose, boozed up and ready to accept and be accepted However its 'complicity' and i dont think that fits so much I personally do really find the smell appealing maybe the name was a typo and they just went with it

Sweet, woody, complex, and warm. I have to believe those who find this to be an underwhelming scent just have skin chemistry that doesn't comply with it. This always gets pushed to the back of my shelf because when I smell it from the bottle or on paper, all I can smell is a harsh sandalwood. Without letting it set on my skin, I forget about it's beauty for months at a time. The first 10 minutes the ginger, jasmine, and sandalwood steal the show. But the longer it sets, the sweeter it gets. The full dry down on my skin is a sweet boozy coconut, without the generic beachy coconut vibe that comes with most coconut fragrances. It's so beautifully blended and smells more like an essence than an actual perfume. I just love this.

i really like this - i purchased the full bottle after finishing my sample. it's a very clean, powdery floral with a woody dry down - it reminds me of how dove's original bar soap smells, which i love. i would've guessed there were some violet in this, as it has a sharp, tart edge to it, but there isn't. in spite of it's name it is very safe - i'd say it's quite feminine, and overall just really nice, whilst still having an interesting enough scent profile. i guess if i was to sum it up - it's not like the other girls. different on the surface but still palatable, almost trying too hard. i just enjoy it for what it is - it's a cold, soapy, powdery wood floral, that's an easy wear for me. 8/10

This is a shape-shifter, a wraith in a corset, a crude gesture concealing a blessing. It somehow smells different on my wrist to how it smells on my inner elbow. Admittedly I'm not in love with the strident opening, it reminds me of something I used to wear in my youthful slut era: maybe 212 sexy, or ultraviolet. But the dry down is a very different animal. There's rum here, but it's top shelf. The coconut is a soft balm on the breeze. Mostly what I am left with is a gentle seduction, suggestion rather than salaciousness. Dangerous Complicity would be softly spoken words of persuasion, not a screech or a yowl. I can hear it whispering again, and I like what it's saying.

Hands down, one of my fave ELdO scents. As others mentioned, it’s unfortunate the marketing lingo for this beautiful fragrance is so off-target and misleading. To me, it is bright, colorful, sweet, soothing and serenely smooth fragrance. If I were on the marketing team, I’d probably opt for something more along the lines of “fête de rêve extatique”. It’s boozy, dreamy, sophisticated and gorgeous. My nose primarily gets rum, osmanthus, sandlewood, light white floral and, actually, a bit a of juicy red rose vibe ala La Fille Berlin (not in the listed notes). It’s highly wearable and v. Unisex. A regular go-to, everyday scent in my collection.

For me, this dries down to a woody floral-ish skin scent that my husband finds utterly intoxicating (seriously like catnip for him). On some of my friends it is "too masculine" not not womanly enough and some of my guy friends think that it is clearly femme. It is like a Basic B level ELDO scent, maybe a good newbie-friendly introduction scent for their work. ELDO's Frustration remains my ELDO fave and MVP of my perfumes, but this is a totally uncomplicated, unobtrusively pleasant daily driver that might not net compliments from random strangers.

This is so delicious, but I don't know why I got orange soda in the opening! After that it settles into this smoky rum, like a gingery dark 'n' stormy. Gorgeously boozy and spicy in a very balanced manner. Definitely more accessible than other ELDO fragrances, but still really good work from them. My favorite part is the cashmere wood, it really adds a comforting warmth to the scent. I also get some musky skin accords in the background which perfectly subtitle the spicy sweetness of it all. Will be buying for myself.

Dangerous Complicity on me is slightly boozy (In a Malibu Rum kind of way) sweet and incredibly juicy. I imagine slightly over ripened fruits on a forest floor, turning to alcoholic mush in the dry earth. I imagine the plump red lips of Caravaggio's Uffizi Bacchus, the hand on his robe, un tying the cord to reveal soft flesh. It's a youthful fragrance, a forbidden lust bottled. Not my favourite from EDLO but certainly one of the most wearable. I would love to own a full bottle of this mouth watering fragrance.

Dangerous Complicity is a sultry skin scent; warm rum and ginger spices melt into creamy coconut, jasmine, and osmanthus, with just a whisper of leather. The base is smooth sandalwood and vanilla wrapped in patchouli, creating an intimate, second-skin warmth. It’s not loud but it has this pull to it, quiet, a bit mysterious and kind of addictive. Purchased a tester box and my wife grabbed this one out as soon as she read the note information. I jumped online and ordered a full size bottle once I smelled the scent on her. My goodness, how amazing. Just beautiful. I love the way that Etat Libre d'Orange go about their art. Dangerous Complicity is maybe the most traditionally beautiful feminine leaning scents they have developed. Very wearable, but still unique. These guys don’t do boring.

This was a blind buy for me and I usually don’t do blind buys but this was a success. Dangerous Complicity is boozy, unisex goodness. My first ELDO fragrance and I will definitely come back to try others. I got a 1.7 oz bottle on discount for $50 and for that price I’m happy. I’m a 27 man and I could easily see myself wearing this year round, it’s nice. Not the loudest projection but it hangs around for some time on clothes.

Ultra-modern perfume, unusual and very charismatic. Emanates an unforgettable wake, sweet but not too... complicated! For me it was love, I love, the note of osmanthus is divine,even as interesting as the skin is combined with other notes. Unfortunately (only) negative is the sillage soft, but longevity is average. Worth a try,very nice! Sillage: 5.5/10 Longevity: 7.5/10 Scent: 9./10 Overall: 9./10

sweet, fruity, rich and heady in the top with patch that reminds me of some other deep patch fruit florals like Euphoria and others in the top but then took a turn that became more herbal and my skin felt tingly like mint or toner; the ylang and sandalwood are present, the drydown is more woody

what i told a friend “ dangerous complicity is very rum and leather and spicy in like a womanly way, like maybe this is a tatted up masc lesbian. It’s really woody almost like cupboard or countertop but i like it a lot” I dont have much to say about it. it’s a very good fragrance.

This is my first scent from this brand, and I am impressed. I find this very sexy in a subtle way. It subconciously appeals to a base instinct, a deep erotic feeling. I believe this was correctly named. I would certainly wear this on a date, to arouse my partner's interest.

I can'g believe how fresh and wearable it is. Not a summer fragrance, but the flowers and ginger peek through very nively. It smells like rum a cocktail. It is, however, a quite common scent, so nothing out of the ordinary (unlike some ELDO fragrances)

Smells like a whore that gets flown out to tropical places. Sexy and exotic. I don't know why it says unisex as I can't imagine the type of man that could wear this. This is a gift I would buy for a high class escort.

Rum to give it depth, ginger gives it power, patchouli for daring, leather is all about tenacity, sandalwood and osmanthus bring on the sex appeal, but the jasmine and ylang ylang keep it classy and lady like.

Spectacular mix of rum with something sweet that makes this fragrance all special, this works and very well. I'm loving this. I evaluate this: Smell: 9.5/10 Projection: 7.5/10 Longevity: 8/10

If "Double Indemnity" had been written in 2015 instead of 1936, Phyllis would be wearing Dangerous Complicity, because this is the rare kind of perfume a man would kill for.

Lipstick, booze, and motorcycles. Huge bad girl energy.

I really like this house so far with my sample set, and, I think I would like this better if more coconut and sandalwood were amped up. They're certainly present, but the silage is so low, and the boozy-ozmanthus turns a bit into generic sweetness. This is a pleasant rum and coconut sweet smell, kind of tropical, definitely bordering if not actually fully in Gourmand territory. I usually spray on both arms to test, and, for some weird reason, my arms and wrists smell differently when I do. On left is the sweet rum coconut and ylang, and on the right is a screamin' Patch! I quite like the right side. Ginger is nuanced but present. Essentially, all the notes listed above are "there" but to greater or lesser degrees (bay is quite low, but when I press my nose, I get the mentholated medicinal quality simply not there with a 3-5 inch gap). For that matter, an amped up bay would be interesting. Overall, I'm passing on a FB of this--for those of you out there that like this scent, I'm not sure what the price comparisons are, but this is a near dupe of Vince Camuto Vince Camuto (the original--not the flankers, the one with...the RUM in it). If's very similar minus patch, and, I suppose the VC is just a bit more simple and definitely more overtly sweet than the DC--still, very close in the fruitchouli genre. Edit: Just looked up the VC--notes are identical--save for "rose" in VC; DC has more notes overal--but VC has all notes of DC.

I received this as a tester in the (almost) complete collection. The first time I sprayed this on my skin, I couldn't even smell it, but that's probably because I was testing a number of other samples at the same time that were perhaps stronger and dwarfed this one. The next time I sprayed it, I made sure to not wear any other perfumes. It's a really pleasant, warm, comforting scent, but despite the brand's description, it does not elicit any "carnal" feelings. I've worn perfumes with osmanthus but I'm not familiar with its individual scent, though I quite enjoy the combination of all the notes in this one. This one, however, sits very close to the skin, even a few minutes after spraying, and longevity is weak to moderate, as I sprayed a fair amount about 3 hours ago. It has completely disappeared from my wrists, but I can still faintly smell this under my shirt. It might perform better in warmer weather, but it's comforting on a cold winter day when you just want to snuggle under a blanket. Update: this actually stays on clothes really well, considering the lack of longevity on the skin. A day or two later I was still able to smell it on a shirt I was wearing when I sprayed it. I really don't think this is a particularly simple or uninteresting fragrance? It's definitely very quiet, drying down almost immediately to a skin scent that hovers just on the edge of noticeable which makes it hard to take in everything at once, but it seems to develop quite a lot even after the drydown. There's lots of rum, coconut and ylang towards the start but it's not an obvious beachy/summery fragrance due to all the warm, spicy woods and ginger that emerge later and also not gourmand at all; I'm not sure the osmanthus is as prominent as the blurb suggests but it's present, giving it more depth than simply being a woody-spicy scent. It's a truly androgynous blend to me, genuinely unisex rather than leaning masculine or feminine. Without being out-loud erotic (not everything needs to be Secretions Magnifiques, after all) I think there's something very sensual about it - even just the quality of being a complex scent that stays so close to the skin is an invitation to get closer to it, after all. I think the name makes sense in that context: instead of being overtly sexual or extreme, it comes across quiet and restrained with hidden, intriguing depths that only come out in close proximity.

Putain Des Palaces baby sister. This one is fresh and non powdery. It's probably the barely there fresh coconut. Perfect for both him and her. Don't be scared of the notes, everything is blended in the softest way, almost silky. It's creamy, not a warm perfume but it does turn COZY, very elegant. Harley and Joker probably smells like this when they're together. Suicide Squad version. Without all the craziness, a more toned down, less psycho version of them. Do I love it YES, I do indeed. Will I die for it, I mean... Would I live for it, yes. Some people really have no vision. Just because a perfume has a certain note listed DOES NOT mean it's going to give it to you HARDCORE, it's there but in a very subtle kinda way. There is rum, fresh coconut but not to your face, soft leather, Jasmine and probably ONE bay leaf added to the concoction. Fresh ginger and sandalwood. No it is NOT churchy, but if it smells like this, wow. What church do y'all go to? Who's grandmother smells like this because I would LOVE to be around her. This has a baby lotion (pink bottle) smell to it. In a sensual type of way. Boozy, creamy, sweet (not too sweet) cozy but FRESH. A night time, very sexy perfume. BISOUS

This was a perplexing experience to smell for the first time because the listed notes do not make you envision this fragrance smelling the way it actually does. I thought with the rum, coconut and leather this would be much deeper, warmer, and more pronounced - boozy and jazz clubby. Instead, the first time I smelled it I felt like I got pure rubbing alcohol and then went nose blind almost immediately. I gave it a few more sprays with adjusted expectations and found that the Adam and Eve skin touching skin scent story is a much better representation of this fragrance than the notes alone. That said, the notes are all here, allbeit extremely subtly. There is no star, this is a soft ensemble. It’s a sort of ethereal jasmine skin scent. The rum and very vegetal/raw coconut (not sun screen or gourmand coconut at all) give it a summer-y feeling. The dry down is pretty powdery and clean but still sexy and interesting. It’s growing on me quickly. Unlike anything else I’ve put my nose to. You can get this from Jomashop for pretty cheap right now, so I think it’s well worth it.

I say this is a woody floral scent which when it's dried down is complex enough to be interesting but subtle enough to just as easily be forgotten. I fear I am getting ahead of myself. Not being someone who is overly familiar with Osmanthus, I must say it's a lovely fragrant smell mixed with jasmine in this composition it's very nice. The opening is really sweet, playful and quite feminine with ylang ylang and a boozy berry scent which fades quickly but made me stand up and take notice. Then it just becomes a bit lack luster, pleasant but far from special. I think the tongue in cheek title of this fragrance is definitely poking fun at pretentious blurbs associated with brands like By Killian which @Sherapop points out brilliantly below. I've only tried 3 Etat Libre d'Orange fragrances so far in my life and each has been a real experience Dangerous Complicity is no exception.

The sixth pick from the taster set and the first time I got a sense of the DNA of this house. I think I might particularly enjoy the way they use leather, a note that in the past I have really struggled with. Here in the base, combined with the woods and sweet notes, it just work particularly well. Dangerous Complicity is fresh and light to begin with; sweet and cute rather than dangerous. It's a very flirty scent at first, but it quickly dries down to sexy smoky sandalwood that becomes increasingly, subtly attractive. You could find yourself unwittingly seduced by it before you even knew it was happening. It's a very intimate, beautiful fragrance that I find totally wearable. The development certainly matches the story that goes along with it, and it makes me think of heretical rituals that undermine the biblical intent of the opening - I'd wear this to read the tarot.

I think the name of this fragrance is probably what is causing issues with most people's perception of this offering. There's really nothing "dangerous" at all about this scent. As a matter of fact, I'd describe it as sweet, clean, and maybe a little cuddly. That's definitely not to say it's a bad fragrance by any stretch of the imagination. The first hour or two are dominated by a rum-like, gingery, spicy mix on my skin that's soft and enjoyable. Drydown goes into a methol-based patchouli similar in scent to the patchouli in Thierry Mugler's Angel EDT. I was surprised how much this scent changes over its wearing and it becomes more masculine through the hours. I'd describe it as quite nice and enjoyable it's not as weird as any of the other fragrances from the ELDO range. Not very strong and overly present, but there and enjoyable. Overall, a solid 7/10 for me.

This fragrance feels like an autumn day spent in the woods surrounded by the orange and red leaves of maple leaves. It's woodsy and spicy, a little crisp but with a hint of softness. To me, this is more masculine then feminine which is great because I'd love for my husband to wear it! I really don't get any sensual or sexual vibe from this fragrance at all though, and I'm not quite sure why it's marketed as such. If anything, this is a casual comfortable scent, i definitely do not get any "dangerous" feelings from it. I really do love this scent and think that it is quite unique, in fact I can't stop sniffing my arm right now! It changes quite a bit as it wears too, getting more musky and cozy as is warms up on my skin. I'm not always impressed with fragrances from this house but this is a definite win for me.

I'm a teeny bit disappointed. Mostly because, once again, my thirst for a deep boozy rum fragrance wasn't met here. Neither was my love for prominent coconut. That's not to say "Dangerous Complicity" is not a pleasant fragrance. I enjoyed it. The tone is light and predominantly sweet, but balanced by soft woods and ginger. The coconut, while not upfront like I was hoping for, offers a complimentary smoothness to the fresh burst of jasmine and osmanthus. It feels very airy and calm, perfect for Spring, wearing fairly close to the skin. If I had to give you an image, I would say it reminds me of a pretty girl who just shampooed her hair with jasmine and coconut, sipping a glass of ice tea. In that vein, it's rather similar to Versace "Crystal Noir", but with a bit more substance.

Nothing super dangerous about this one. This was mostly osmanthus and cashmere woods on me - in a beautiful way. My initial trial, I loved because it had this juicy plumpness to the osmanthus, but I realized the longevity and sillage was pretty poor on my skin. For my second trial, I emptied the whole sample vial on myself and could only smell it when I buried my nose into the crook of my arm. I would catch these pleasantly fragrant wafts throughout the day, but mostly it stayed near the skin. The jasmine is stripped of its heaviness here, and even the leather was almost nonexistent. I thought I’d love it from the notes alone, but the notes remain mostly in hiding. I’d pick up a small travel spray of this, but not a full bottle.

Dangerous, really? Sorry for saying so, but to me this fragrance is memorable for being unmemorable. Don't get me wrong, it's good but it's not something you'd expect from ELDO. Maybe this is a part of their charm, gracing us with the unexpected? Anyway, it didn't work for me this time. I parted ways with Dangerous Complicity more than a year ago and I still remember it being an absolutely safe, somewhat boring scent for such a provocative house. Even the jasmine here is stripped of its indolic side, having been rounded with a coconut note instead. Sandalwood and rum make sure to enhance the comforting sweetness. Sexy like a long-time partner, not like a stunning stranger. Too bad I prefer the latter when it comes to fragrances.

Dangerous Complicity opens with a fresh jasmin-ginger-osmanthus impression. It is wild at the beginning, leaving a noticeable scent trail after you. The fragrance is pretty mysterious: I can't imagine any fragrances that are similar to this. It's actually a pretty sexy scent but tilted more towards private occasions because its power could not last a thorough night out, not at least at the service of yours truly. Besides the leather there seems to be a tobacco note that mellows in the drydown and overall, gives the scent a wonderful edge. After four hours into wearing Dangerous Complicity, the dangerousness has faded away, giving room to a balmy and light scent that has room for the osmanthus and a hint of spiciness.

I feel like this is a crowd pleasing scent, I haven't worn it in public yet but from how much I've sampled it so far I enjoy it, it's not too out there. When we were smelling it on our wrists with a friend we came to the conclusion that it's a fresh but fun scent, something a sporty posh girl would wear after getting out of her swimming classes. It's bright, neutral, and reliable. Not overpowering at all and very much good for any occasion. My only con is that I don't feel like this fragrance has any personality or is a must have in a bigger perfume collection, but if you're looking for a beginner daily wear fragrance with a little more substance than the usual this could be the one for you.

First blast of a spicy floral wood. Quite difficult to pin down exactly what spice, what floral, and what wood it is at first. It's faceless yet quite pleasant for being nondescript. After a minute, the wood starts to warm up on my skin and all I can get is the bay leaf along with it before it all calms down a to generic warm sweetness. Overall I do like this one although it's quite puzzling to define exactly what it is i like about it. This is like one of those people who are generally liked by a crowd but not too well known by the crowd. Unisex and suitable for all weather. 6+ hours later: Had completely disappeared by the 4th hour.

Crushed orange fruit mingling with ylang-ylang and cashmere blanket covered sandalwood woods. At the very start, it’s brought forth through the ginger. As it settles into the skin, the jasmine and osmanthus begin to leak through, as well as the creaminess of the coconut. The rum gives it a bit of a backbone, pairing well with the herbal earthiness of the patchouli and bay leaf. The leather is not as prominent, but it is there, in the background. I don't know why I like this scent, but I do. I don't get anything dangerous from Dangerous complicity and in a way it is quite ordinary. To me it is all about Osmanthus and Ginger, even though Ylang, Coconut and the leather chord also have roles to play. I am not too familiar with osmanthus and I have a complex relationship to ginger. Maybe this is the key to why I like it. The slightly unknown interwoven with something ambiguously familiar creates a tension that is in no way dangerous, but rather quite interesting. I only have a small decant of DC and I think it will be empty fairly soon.

I am trying now dangerius comolicity. The scent is nice, fresh an very weareable. I like the opening very much. It is intense, a bit watery but with a very noticeable osmanthus. However half an hour later the perfume becomes very soft. I think It is an unisex flowery scent, better for day and weareable under any weather or temperatura. The biggesr issue i find is the performance which is not very good. I would wear It during the day. Could be a good spring scent for the daily Life. First spray I thought hmm, maybe, nice, smooth, somewhat elegant. By mid afternoon couldn't smell it. Second application and wow, woosh of ginger and spice straight up reminding me of Scherrer 2 - as that is how I experience that. S2 was one of my all time faves back in the day. I am working through the very exciting 20 piece 'almost' the full collection and having so much fun! This is #4 and I think definitely worth more skin time. I also like 'Cologne' despite, or maybe because, of the simplicity per reviews.

Initially it starts off as a very creamy floral fragrance with a hint of red lipstick? that brings about a more feminine scent to one’s nose; after about 6sh hrs it becomes an almost soft woody fragrance that leans slightly on a masculine profile but sweet. I wore it at work and no one seemed to notice it I would randomly get wiffs of it anytime I turned around or walked and abruptly stoped as if it were following me. So I assume it leaves someone’s of a trail? But no one said anything so... it’s nice though:)

Im getting a lot of sweet rum, ginger and woods. Its super sweet at the start but as it warms on my skin the more balmy it becomes. I own an old bottle of with love which has slightly turned this is kind of what this smells like, off with love. Does not smell anything like a fresh bottle of with love, to me anyway. Its hard for me to get past all the herbs and spice, plus my association. But other than that its an interesting scent and worth a try for anyone that loves boozy scents.

This fragrance is very subtle compared to the rest of the line. I expected this to be deeper. I don't get any rum, ginger, leather or patchouli. This smells clean and pretty and casual. Definitely more of a skin scent.... All in all quite rather tame compared to the rest of the offering from this house. With that said, if you layer this with oil concentrate with notes of tobacco or something deeper I think it will make this fragrance more profound.

As many have said, there is nothing really risque or weird about this ... but it doesn't smell like a mall scent either. If the rum it opened with lasted throughout I would almost love this fragrance. Since it doesn't, I simply like it. Rummy, nutty powdery patch this is, with moderate sillage and projection. With the cooler temps on the way, I may actually spring for a small bottle of this at some point.

A really complex scent. Powdery and softly sweet. Even then I still think it leans slightly masculine. This is because I really found the scent remind me so much of the Dior Homme Intense. Right off in the very opening I thought it was the iris note and that really got me to think of DHI. I even like this much better than DHI. Lasted over four hours on skin and over twelve on clothing.
