The Sol

I just got a 10ml decant from a friend, and honestly, I’ve been loving it in this scorching summer. It smells fresh, clean, and airy—just super easy. The bergamot and lemon really pop in the opening, blended with a light touch of rosemary and lavender. On my skin, I can clearly pick up a minty vibe in the drydown, which I really enjoy. This thing projects surprisingly well, people around me keep asking what I’m wearing whenever they catch a whiff of it. Compared to Thameen Fanfare, the rosemary here is much softer. Next to Etat Libre d’Orange You Or Someone Like You, this one feels more rounded, like a well-balanced cocktail, no fizzy effect, but still very uplifting. It actually reminds me more of Torino 21, though this one leans much heavier on the citrus. The mint also comes through stronger on my skin, and I think the ambroxan is what gives it that impressive projection and longevity for a citrus-based scent. I get about 7 hours out of it, which is honestly surprising. Definitely picking up a bottle for the hot days ahead.

It opens with fresh-squeezed coastal lemons and salty sea air, resting on a warm amber base that feels like sunshine on your skin. This brand nailed the artisanal blending nothing synthetic here. It's vibrant, elegant, and the longevity is bravissimo for a freshie. Extremely realistic, giving you that effortless Italian sprezzatura all day.

Received a mini discovery set from a buddy, and out of all 8, three totally stole the show: The Sol, Ethereal Iris, and Solaris Paradox. 😆 The Sol is a total summer banger. People say it's close to Torino21, but I beg to differ. While T21 is mostly a citrus, bergamot bomb with a whisper of mint, The Sol opens with a blast of fresh, cocktail style mint. The seaweed note is there but not fishy at all, balanced by a light saltiness and a crisp, clean bergamot 👏 It has this amazing airy, floating quality to it definitely getting some ambroxan vibes here. Longevity is surprisingly good for a freshie, easily lasting 7+ hours on my skin with solid performance

Got my hands on a 5ml decant from a friend, and it's quite nice tbh! Reminds me a of Torino21 but much more lemon and orange. Does anyone else get a strong mint note from this? Strangely, it's completely missing from the official breakdown. Longevity is average for me, about 3-4 hours, but I have perfume-eating skin so that's decent enough.

I appreciate a scent that is just easy to wear when you're moving from place to place. As someone constantly on the road, I prefer scents that feel grounded and don't try too hard. It’s a very chill, straightforward fragrance that doesn't scream for attention but makes you feel put together . Keeping this in my travel bag.
