Aigner No 2

I don't know if i have the vintage of the reformulated version but i like it. It is to me one of the most dry and herbal of fragrances i have found as of yet. Not soapy at all. Most prominent ar the lavender and sage followed by the vertiver and orris. No musk but some oakmoss in the base. It is a very clean smellig fragrance.

This is, after all these years, one of the best scents there is. It’s a soapy and fresh fougere, great longetivity and sillage, and, although 35 years old, still feels modern and different. A real sophisticated and standout release. This one is why I really like the Aignerhouse, and tried them all, without ever regretting.

They don't make them like this anymore! A citrusy, herbal and woody scent that screams masculinity. This will be considered dated by most, but thats because people are used to share shower gels and sweatpants with their wives and girlfriends and have christmas cookie candles in their bedrooms.

A true masterpiece 🏆. From the past ❤️ one of the best soapy lemony fragrance 👍 very close to habit rouge by Guerlain! I love even the current version of No.2 💕

I love this but would give it a minute to become itself. It has different stages, all nice, and I think it smells quite grand. Definately unisex.

In the mold of elegant musty lemons, soapy blossoms and musky fougères of past, No.2 carries a floral-hearted tradition in a citrus, sage, lavender accord that tastefully dries indolic, herby, dusty and musky. With a savon-like quality in the fine derogatory label that is the grandma mounting grandpa wiff, No.2 sings its lemon song to a heaving chorus of rose, heliotrope, orris and geranium, that is slighted by bare woodies to an amber rich base of moss, labdanum, coumarin, musk and vanilla. All this supposedly dated action works like a slightly sweeter blooming of Turkish Arko/Derby shaving soap. Generally, those who have an inclination for pleasant piss alley drifts that swing both ways and a penchant for the chalky side of the grid will be intrigued... Surely, No.2 is a fine barbershop that summons the dandified and the randified mill of clean... Lovely!

A quite soapy and somehow metallic fougere. Powdery and spicy. Labeled here as unisex, but I find it to be leaning quite a lot to the masculine side. Opening with bergamot & citrus, after about 20 minutes enters the drydown with lots of lavender, clary sage with a shot of geranium, cedar and fern thrown in the mix. The base consists of oakmoss, tonka and some musk. To me it seems strong in projection and very traditional. If you're into early 80s types of masculine soapy scents, this could be for you.

To me it smells like Paul Sebastian Fine Cologne, but it is more refined. Less sweet and a bit soapy with dominant Lavender. I have the new reformulated version and I quite like it. I am glad that I never smelt the vintage stuff, not because I don't think the vintage is better, but because my experience with the new edition is so good that I don't want it to be ruined if I smell a better formula. I recommend it to new buyers who never smelt it before, not for vintage lovers.

I found an old miniature discovery set bottle, which would be around 25-30years old. It still smells amazing !! The quality seems outstanding to be preserved for so long; German quality :) I have no idea what the new production batches smell like, but this 25-30 years old one smells fantastic. Fresh, green, thicker cologne vibe. In context, this fragrance was launched a couple of years before I was born ! I would love to find find a new full bottle and give it a try.

Just purchased a lot of two vintage mini-bottles and gave it a proper SOTD wearing. It's very pleasant and reminds me most of Canoe by Dana and Wild Country by Avon due to a powdery note that, albeit less pronounced, is present throughout. Accordingly, it's definitely in the broad "barbershop" category of fragrances. While it has some other interesting and attractive notes, I'm not a fan of this type of powder, so it's not full-bottle worthy for me; would still recommend otherwise.

I owned this fragrance but I heard it was a reformulation, I didn't like it as it had a generic soapy vibe I really couldn't handle (normally I don't mind for soapyness). It is strong and kind of fresh but not my cup of tea. I sold it and never smelled the vintage but this new version gets a thumbs down. Rated: 5/10.

The original one used to be a beautiful fresh fougere, with no soapy notes. Lavander was wonderful and sage and cedar also prominent. Not sweet and absolutely unisex. It was a classic, something you can't go wrong with. From what I read here the reformulation butchered another good scent. Pity.

I owned also the original fragrance, which i loved and used for about 10 years. This one now must be a reformulation, as the soapy element dominates all other ingredients. Abolutely not my cup of tea. Rated 1/5

A very classic fresh lemony,dry and a bit green-flowery fragrance,i think that today it is really watered down by the modern standards of production.Classy and comfortable.

This reminds me alot of Canoe/Ambush/Brut, but stronger. Classic.
