Cara Mia Ti Bacio

first off: aigner, hey girly... münchner zu münchner... ich komme zu dir... the font on the bottle is not it. kannst du ändern, herzliche grüße 🫡 otherwise: what the hell, this is great!?️ I have not checked for aigner at all, owing to the pricing and the brand not really feeling like me (A, it's the Munich Rich Girl Brand and it's not my speed, and B, I tend to go for the flashier brands [HELLO ESCADA!!!!]) but I grabbed this on a whim while shopping for drag makeup stuff at Rossmann, and it was discounts on discounts, so why the hell not. (hopefully not getting discontinued, but the way the world is... maybe idk) somehow despite my leanings to anything that looks like Catty Noir/CA Cupid/Draculaura would have on their vanities and closets (PINK.) I got Ti Bacio, mostly because I read cacao and went absolutely feral. sadly, NOT a dark deep hooker-y cacao, but this perfume holds her own against a good chunk of my loud ass mainstays. 1 point for you, aigner. I love the opening, despite my distaste for citrus; i think the artemisia is holding it down and giving my body something bitter and BITING to hold on to, as citrus never really goes well on me. it's very much a strong yet smooth cocktail type of scent. pear and orange are there, but never delve into an overripe scent, they stay crisp and crunchy (I do love me an overripe scent though. mmmmmm indolic sweetness) the flowers do show up, but not in a way I expect. jasmine always comes through on my body, and makes herself known like a pleaser heel clack, but somehow it's laid back? she's THERE but it's like a bodyguard. THE ROSE? okay, there's something here! as a lush girl, I know the scent of glen cocoa INTIMATELY. chocolate and rose oil is always so good, and here I can say: this is a perfume that does smell like a very, VERY refined version of glen cocoa. the rose is laid back as well, but she seems to be closer to the star, which is the cacao and vanilla. there's a distinct fresh rosiness to the sweetness, as well as a more aldehydic edge to it, but both flowers somehow don't overpower the scent. surprising development to me, honestly. most of my rose and jasmine perfumes tend to have the two of them going AT IT. the star is the cacao and vanilla (sorry ambroxan, you're not the superstar but you do make the team!); this perfume again doesn't go to the logical extreme of a decadent sweetness, but just makes everything fresher than usual. the cacao note is more of a nib/unsweetened powder kind of scent; it's a bit waxy and bitter, but still warm and comforting. the vanilla also doesn't feel like syrup; it's like a good quality extract that got sprinkled on. enough for sweetness, but still very fresh and warm. still need to test longevity and how this performs after macerating, but projection is another surprise! not ear splitting, nuyorican neighborhood speaker projection (hello, Mugler/Cavalli/Escada!) but it's louder than expected from the Rich Girl Brand of Munich. points for you, Aigner! the bottle design needs some tweaks still, but you ate that one! honestly, would probably work better in the dead of winter, but you never know. I could wear this in summer and no one will have to know. will test when it comes to that. verdict? you ate that! EDIT (not the maceration edit): was gonna write a paragraph about somebody lying about davana being listed instead of artemisia/wormwood, but I think it could just be the language used. it is a wormwood scent. davana is something I'm again, intimately familiar with, and it's more boozy and warmer than the one used here, so I'm inclined to believe it's the wormwood. could be wrong though! I could be lying out my ass.

This one came as additional purchase for replica beach walk.. and honestly I was dreading it, seeing how red and pink packed the pyramid accords of cara mia ti bacio while I didn't quite like either pink or red flower notes (I prefer white and yellow flowers, hence). It came out nice actually. Despite the warning of pinkness and redness of the pyramid also the presence of ambroxan (that I also hate, naturally), I have to say, 'it's not bad,' and, 'I like it?' You see I like Ysl black opium and perfumes alike with cocoa and vanilla notes. I don't really like fruity scents but pear is always tolerated. That saying, I actually love citrus (hello D&G light blue). Cara Mia Ti Bacio came to me as a chore that I thought I would hate doing, but it was actually alright. I can smell that cocoa-ness and I love it. Mandarin-pear-rose actually blend pretty nicely and this has no screechy opening that I usually correlate with ambroxan. The projection is huge, I don't know about the longetivity yet but the way it stays on my skin after a while kinda convinces me that it'll do alright (unlike some that disappear right away despite coming from high end brands). I think it'll show it's potential in colder months, and for formal or night occasion. Also the scent is pretty mature, you don't smell like a teenager with CMTB. It's elegant, poise, and friendly. With CMTB you get to be that cool and good person (not a prick). I think anyone who loves ysl black opium or d&g the only one will like CMTB. Though I am happy that the scent reminds me of black opium, I don't think this perfume is ground breaking enough for me to repurchase (I choose to replenish my black opium or zara gardenia as alternative that's why). Still someone else will love it 😊
