Debut

I'm really enjoying Aigner Debut -- I'm on the edge of love with it, in fact. It's sharp green-white orange blossoms up top, like orange blossom hotel soap from the 1970's. It has that sharp, cold sweetness, too, that I experience in the spring here in Southern California when the orange and lemon blossoms are blooming in the early spring and I feel like I just CAN'T shut the doors and windows even though it's getting f***ing cold out -- it's that intoxicating! It has this sweet watery coolness that's just lovely, and the drydown is so pretty, like very light honey. It's definitely similar to Elie Saab Le Parfum that I have and love, but it doesn't have the strong honey note that ES LP has; it's simpler and cleaner and less operatic or statement-y than that strong beauty. If you're an orange blossom lover, as I am, you may enjoy adding Aigner Debut to your orange blossom collection.

A citrusy floral scent. I bought it couple year ago and didnt like it so much. Bought it simply because i love its bottle, so simple and introvert. After years, the juice is still quite full lol i used it rarely ... i event lost its cap and box.. didnt put so much attention to this perfume. Just sit there in my shelf for years... And today suddenly i fall in love with this perfume.. an old brand new scent to me. Fresh, light, clean and so rich with mixed fruit scents. A tropical scent... and dry down is not so sweet i think because top and hearts is more dominant...i dont know about perfumery i just feel what i feel... i like it so much and wont take granted for the second time with this gem. Projection and sillage is moderate, and price is affordable so for me is a YES.

Blind bought this one and it's my first Aigner perfume. I would say it smells very powdery fresh not to mention citrusy-floral as well ! Once it touches the surface of my skin and clothes, the top notes started to come out and it is very citrusy fresh type of scent. My fav part is after around1 min the top notes calmed and blended with the middle notes which is soft floral scent. It turns to powdery in the dry down also soapy. Not the scent that I love in the first sniff because of that strong citrus, but it is definitely getting a lot of my attention as I always go back to this perfume when I want to stand out by smelled different. The major drawback is that the very poor longevity. It lasted max 3 hour on fabric, while on the skin maybe only 1 hour ish :((

I tried Debut this morning at a local drugstore where I went to buy something totally irrelevant, but as a devoted Fragrantica member, I never leave a chance to try perfumes pass me by! I love drugstores, I can spend hours looking around, especially browsing the cosmetic and perfume shelves where I can find little treasures such as this. Spicy candied fruits on a musky base with sultry flowers!!! Started fresh but quickly settled without ever becoming really sweet, it kept me good company through the whole day. It even survived a one hour and a half Yoga session, but not the shower that followed. Impressive longevity, around nine hours and even if it's not loud it kept projecting, people coming near me could smell it and I received two compliments?! This isn't unique nor groundbreaking but it is beautiful and cheery! I'm getting a bottle to enjoy during this still cold rainy spring the soonest possible and I suggest that if you see it, try it!!!

Had a chance to sample. Goes on sharp and green fresh. In the sea of samples and new flankers, this fragrance was rather unique and pleasing. It is light and airy, low/moderate sillage. In terms of longevity it develops and dries down into a lovely musky still citrus-lily scent that does last for several hours; 4+ on skin, longer on fabric. Beautiful bottle, but over-priced.

First spray, ugh! it is just like wet tissue with tons of Alcohol that i used to know.. fresh, but nothing special since i only get a bit of jasmine and musk for the dry down.. Poor longevity and sillage also..

Opens much sweeter than what i expected, later turns into a soft musky floral. I was expecting an opulent white floral, but it is not bad. Final note: 6/10

In my country Indonesia, Aigner Debut is only $25 for 50 ml. very affordable like Elizabeth Arden and Guess.

Its light, sweet and soft. I prefer it in spring and summer. Lovely.

I have this one and smelled Elie Saab Le parfum today in the store: they really are very very similar!!! Everyone I know always tells me this one smells elegant and I agree but have to add, it's more on the mature side of elegnace... it used to be my office scent... has quite good longevity!... don’t know why citrus is the first accord, I wouldn’t quite agree on that...

I had high hopes for aigner debut imagigining it a musky orange flower-jasmine scent with a hint of earthy notes to make it more intresting but it has a strong leafy/green note which must be petitgrain which ruins it for me.it opens with a sharp citrus-floral-petitgrain combo.a springy scent but not as fresh as it's top notes suggest I was waiting for vanilla and musk to showup and give it feminity or sweetness but they never appeared.it just became lighter,less citrusy and a bit woody.I didn't like it but still I'd like to try debut by night

Hmm.. i must say i agree with wet tissue thing.. first sniff is fresh, when applied on my wrist, it becomes wet tissue but still acceptable. nice fresh scent.. But when applied on my neck and the back of my ears, it gives me headache..:(( This is my first Aigner and i must say i kinda sorry..

A mediocre floral scent that comes along freshly enough so that it can be worn as a business scent. Nothing special, but could be worse (or be labeled "Hugo Boss", it's just the same type of modern female all-purpose scents). **

17. june 2013 Such a beautiful description of the fragrance: "The perfume is inspired by an elegant woman in a satin dress who attracts everyone's attention and lures you with her beauty at first glance." And such a dissapointment after trying it. First, when i sprayed it onto papaer blot, i couldn ́t detect almost nothing, so i thought it ́s my nose so i sprayed it generously onto my both wrists. A bit sharp and bitter opening thanks to petitgrain and orange blossom. But it turns very quickly into very light (supposedly just like the dress in advertising) and airy (almost undetectable) jasmine scent mixed with bergamote. And there is a water lily which gives even more airness to this fragrance. The vanilla is very light here and musk is more detectable, but no patchouli for my nose in here. Super soft sillage and very weak lasting power. I can ́t smell anything after 1 hour. The bottle is actually so lovely and very pretty because of it ́s simplicity and clean lines, also the colour, but the fragrance itself is a huge dissapointment. You won ́t be making a memmorable debut wearing this one sadly. And for the price over 60 euros for 50ml, i don ́t know what they were thinking. Sad. Aigner has actually some really nice fragrances just not this one this time. P.S. This one is also available in 30ml and 50ml as well as in 100ml sizes. Please do not remove this comment, since others might find it useful. Not every review should be positive, so people like me wanted to make a blind buy might find it very informative. Thanks. .

if you love elie saab le parfum wou might also love this! really similar imo but cheaper. debut a lol bit sweeter but from the floral not sweet from fruits or vanilla

Nice affordable sweet fruity floral perfume. Something with Aigner perfumes that for me almost each of it smells classic. But i kinda love classic.

Love it. The smell like grass in the morning...so fresh...

smells like mature woman for me, indeed, classy
