In Leather Man

Fragrance made in Spain. Captivating opening scent but becomes synthetic and very quick to diffuse. Familiar fruity warm scent but you cant really single out the specific fruit top note here. Probably synthetic, but not offensive synthetic note. Cant smell the leather also just like what the reviewer Elitsa stated below.The scent in general is what you can smell from todays mass market line of woody aromatic fragrances for men. Rating 7/10

There is a real earthy patchouli in here that when combined with the leather makes it feel quite a realistic leather, with the concoction of citrus fruits on the top it gives quite a harsh fragrance on the skin. My intitial sprays almost felt like a very simple leather scent and a very simple citrus scent were layered but fighting against each other. It's not offensive, its not a mind blowing scent either, but with good longevity and decent sillage, at the price I paid (£12) and allegedly discontinued according to the review below from 10 years ago. This could well be a diamond in the rough for some people. However, if I were to pick between this and Aigners Statement, Statement would be the choice hands down.

This used to be one of my favourites. I'd always have a bottle in my collection...I've probably gone through at least 10 bottles. It's a shame it's been discontinued!!! The opening is citrusy and slightly spicy. Within 10-20 minutes it changes to a smooth Ambery/spicy scent. After approximately an hour it dries down to a very pleasant woody, mildly spicy leather. It's a mild leathery scent, best worn in winter/autumn. U can pull it off in summer as well. I usually layer it with Cambodian oud oil. And I get a lot of compliments and hugs!! ;-)

I like the bottle - it's quite original and give some sense of leather. The scent is warm, sweet, a bit oriental but i don't smell any fruits in it. I don't find anything special in this fragrance, it's ordinary and boring, nothing reminds me of leather.
