A class act! Actually a juice that perfectly fits my taste. A 100%. Fresh spicy, leathery optimistic, bright, manly, invigorating, classy, very natural smelling and strong. Its the kind of fresh spicy that makes you feel larger than life. The entire development of the fragrance is stunning. Fresh fruity, lemony, flowery, with a great lavender and leather, cool oak moss and smooth cedar at the very base. Perfection!

I really do like this one an awful lot. It took me a while to really appreciate Aigner's Statement. To me, it's very smooth. It's one of those fragrances that makes me think of shopping at an expensive department store. It smells like a masculine version of elegance and understated good taste. I bought this after watching a YouTube video by FragranceMatt.

Very nice and fresh! Mostly lavender with citrus and fruits. I do not see any leather but I am OK with that! This was a successful blind buy with the help of the reviews below!! Price was very good too!

Has essential elements of Quartz Molyneux and less so Givenchy Insense. A very easy going classy scent.

There is a difference between a fragrance that smells like an "old man", and a fragrance that smells like what a mature man would wear. The first implies dotage, incontinence, etc. The second implies class, something that the older generation would wear back in the days when suit and tie were required for work, and something that you might wear to a wedding or business meeting. This is the latter, so if you are looking for something youthful and clubby, don't buy this. If you like non-unisex, non-bubblegum fragrances, this could be worth a try for you, even as a blind buy. Starts with a lemon candy, lavender and nutmeg accord, but before long a green, oakmoss and fougere profile steps in, eventually becoming dominant. Within 45 minutes, this is 40% classic fougere, 40% Geoffrey Beane Bowling Green (a discontinued genius), and about 20% nutmeg/leather/amber. For a $17 fragrance, this is very good. It is a four season scent because it is bracing enough for warm weather, deep enough for cold. Will I be wearing this a lot? Probably not, because I have a good stock of GBBG which does this even better, and several fougeres. If I didn't have those, this would get some use. This would be perfect for some starting out with a limited budget, who wants to advance the blue freshies and One Million sweet gourmands, or someone who is not afraid to smell unabashedly masculine. This is like a hoppy, nicely bitter IPA, not a passion fruit hard seltzer or Michelob Ultra.

Citrus heavy but very far away from the big classic citrus/woody frags. it has sort of a sweeter hedge that makes it easy to wear. Sadly it never really feels very special and I find it difficult to find the right day/occasion to wear it. Still, it was a blind buy of mine because it's very cheap and I do not regret. it will just take years to reach the end of the bottle at this rate.

This fragrance reminds me a lot of Boss Elements. Maybe a bit sweeter and louder in the opening and with a more prominent leather note. But the overall vibe is just there. Nothing exceptional quality wise, but for this price it is blind buy worthy. And it is different enough to the majority of current blue and red fragrances. The opening of this edt is to die for.

I've got in my collection this scent,i don't feel anything so great about it,it is different but not so interesting,a weak leather a bit soapy,a bit fruity,but really for yourself,a private frag.Still producing,maybe the first batches were better blended.

Its beautiful but it does smell like an old style perfume

i got it as a “fuck it” I’ll try it bc i usually like the notes this fragrance has. This is awful, smells like an old man, and has an overall extremely outdated scent. Just my opinion. Do i think it’s overall well made and complete? sure. would never wear it, no. everyone i’ve asked about it thinks it smells like an old man, and i agree.

I've had this fragrance in the bathroom for like 2 or so years, it's been like 2 christmases ago. And I am aware that it absolutely most likely have been affected by the heat and humidity but- I haven't liked this that much and tried to use it again cuz I've grown tired of the shared Acqua di gio(the og) and it wasn't that great with the lemon citrus notes nor the fruits. Like every other comment here, I believe it has old people smell and I get that with the 1996 release date that it's an outdated smell that predates my existence, but I can't just like it because it's older than me. For me it doesn't even have a dry down and becomes a little rotten-y but I can't describe it exactly but around that feeling. It sorta does well with the citrus in the absolute start of the spray but quickly becomes meh :/ after 3 mins. Do not be like my mother that bought me this, the gift itself and the thought was nice but I wish it would've been something more my time. I would not recommend this as a starter fragrance to give to your kid for example or anyone you know. Do start with the modern version of Acqua di gio that smells more citrusy than what Statement does(even though I don't particularly like the acquatic scent, it will surely be nicer for another person)

I'm a big fan of vintage fragrances and have a big collection of them, but this particular scent profile doesn't suit me. It has that aromatic sheen that is almost metallic, and metallic facets irritate me. Statement isn't nearly as metallic as Chanel Platinum Egoiste, and is probably closer in scent profile to a Burberry Men from 1995 than the Chanel, but its qyasi-metallic sheen still hums in the background. Its not nearly as enjoyable for me as other masculine scents from the mid 80's to mid 90's, such as Ralph Lauren Safari for Men, Guerlain Heritage, Tiffany for Men, Moods Uomo by Krizia, YSL Jazz, Escada Pour Homme, even Hero by Prince Matchabelli. All vintage masculine scent profiles of the period, with significant Fougere aspects, and all WITHOUT AN IRRITATING QUASI-METALLIC SHEEN. Statement is not very similar to Safari for Men, YSL Jazz, nor Salvador by Salvador Dali, as the comparison votes above suggest.

I'm suprised there is no review for this scent. Statement is a friendly leather, and I think it's nice one. I tried lots leather scents but seldom got anyone smells as smooth as Statement. Leather note on me often goes like burning wood or rubber, not a pleasant smell at all. So Statements is a little suprise to me. The little bit greasy feeling leather note actually reminds me some brand new leather goods. One can argue that Statement doesn't show the best aspect of leather note or it doesn't present leather note from a good director, nevertheless I think it's done skillfully, at least on me.

This is an inexpensive hidden gem. Only Notino makes a good distribution of Ettienne Aigner fragrances, and not in all the countries. This is a smooth leather fragrance with niche quality. I probably would prefer it to have vanilla instead of the fruity.I would like it to have a bit more stirax to make the fragrance more balsamic. But probably with those changes it would not be as smooth as this old school version is. it's near perfect as it is !!!!

One of the best cheap fragrances I've bought to date. Smells reminiscent of Oscar for Men by Oscar De La Renta to me. Should be a staple for every collection. Longevity is around 6-8 hours with a good amount of sillage for half of it.
