Super Fragrance for Men

This rare delight is as mysterious as a brume over a hay field, brimming with clary sage, cedar, and a distant costus oiliness. Its musks are similar to those used by Bruno Acampora in his early works: dusty, powdery, mushroom-like apparitions. Pleasant pungency merges with gold soap, its tonka dry and dirtied up and seasoned with pepper. It's presence is a loud whisper. There is the sensation of holding a bundle of bitter herbs, squeezing to inhale them, and then as one exhales, two hairy, strong arms cocoon you and a warm body spoons you. Suggested times to enjoy: after sunset, rain tapping against the window, lounging under dim light—or attending a cocktail party with a well-read cohort who seeks to understand rather than react.

I ve had it a long long time ago. Had actually 2 versions, the brown bottle first and few years later it was reformulated and reappeared in the same bottle but with a silverblue metallic paint, this version is still for sale on ebay. Both smelled unique, my girlfriend at that time said it was the nicest fragrance (brown bottle) she ever smelled. From what I remember, the first moments of Etats Afternoon of a faun had some similarities with the 1st Superfragrance version.

Super Fragrance lives up its name. I get a huge load of hay. Hay and musk. It smells like typical laundry soap. It smells kind of dated but very elegant. I understand why it was called super fragrance, musky fragrances were "in" in the 1970 and this was the rolls royce out of them. I do really like the loundry soap smell of this fragrance, even if I am not a fan of soap fragrances.

Dremerick, I totally do agree with you! One of the greatest male fragrances ever! I've used super fragrance for years when I was younger. Fabulous stuff, couldn't get enough of it. Such a shame that Aigner has discontinued this, in my opinion it was the best one they're ever produced. Tried several launches after this one but they're all so-so...

Unique scent and good projection and longevity. Its hard to find this now

OMG! What a find! I was looking for info on this long forgotten scent that I was introduced well after its heyday back in the late 70ies. I was given this as a gift back in the mid to late 80ies when it was completely out of style and frankly I did not understand it as a mid to old teen. All I can remember that it was the darkest, dampest and warmest scent I have ever smelled. I think back then there were no oakmoss restrictions and this must have had tons of it (err it's actually 'hay' lol)! I experienced it also slightly mouldy and dirty smelling: perhaps similar to Salvatore Dali (original one that smells "dirty and sinister") and "Dioressence". It was also somewhat smokey and leathery. I guess it must have been popular with the "Studio 54 crowd" as an even more 'stinky intense' option over "POLO" by Ralph Lauren. The ultimate scent for horses in heat! (hay note)!!

SIMPLY THE BEST FRAGRANCE I'VE EVER TRIED. I ONLY WISH AIGNER WOULD BRING IT BACK. I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE VERY, VERY POPULAR...IT WAS AHEAD OF IT'S TIME

Fortunately I have one bottle of 60ml at home! Actually I have never used it so far- will try tomorrow. If anyone is interested in it, let me know.

Still my favorite and for sure unique. I use rarely, but when I do, I hear complements. It's about time Aigner brings back on the market.

I don't know if mine has gone off, but it smells a bit like curry-BO. Pungent. Dry down is powdery.

Can not get this anywhere.Help
