Diva Nuit

The Diva Nuit perfume was launched in 2019, being the second flanker of the Diva line, whose original fragrance appeared in 2017, and the version Diva por Natureza, in 2018. The concept remains the same, with the real woman who becomes a reference and manages to conquer everyone around her, thanks to her beauty and, above all, attitudes. The company defines Diva Nuit as a floral-oriental perfume and the fragrance brings notes of lychee, mandarin, and pear, in the head; Jasmine, tuberose, and hazelnuts, in the body; Cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, and the Eudora’s Secret accord, in the base. Visually, it maintained the pattern, but it was painted in midnight blue with golden finishings, following the trend that has been presented to the market in recent months. As an example, I can quote Byzance (from Rochas), relaunched in the same year. On the skin, Diva Nuit pleases me a lot, even more than the original version. Its fragrance has a very common olfactory profile from the late 90s and early 2000s, which continued to be replicated for some years and was replaced in the last decade when Ethyl Maltol came in in lots of feminine compositions. This white-floral profile made a point of enhancing ingredients such as jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang, and gardenia, always bringing fruity notes on the top and a sensual base, with hints of vanilla and musk. Diva Nuit reminds me of fragrances like 5th Avenue NYC EDP (Elizabeth Arden), Emporio Armani She (Giorgio Armani), among others. It is the type of floral-lush perfume that has replaced the floral-aldehyde from past decades. It is not the perfume that our mothers wanted while we were children, like Anaïs Anaïs (Cacharel) or Chanel No.5 (Chanel). It is one that today's mother, around 30 years of age, desired in her adolescence and today identifies as being a more mature perfume. Diva Nuit has no appeal with Millennials, nor will a 20-year-old man find it seductive. But try to wear it nearby a 40-year-old man with a few strands of gray hair and see the difference. No, I'm not giving tips to lolitas who want to seduce older men. I'm just drawing a real scenario to explain how this fragrance works and what its target audience is. Diva Nuit has a lot of mandarin orange, striking jasmine – although not very indolic – and a touch of vanilla perfectly placed. If there are hazelnuts, I didn't feel them! Its fragrance leaves a good trail, exudes well, and has excellent longevity. Regarding the term Nuit (night, in French), I think it is misleading and ends up not getting the attention it deserves. In my opinion, the original fragrance is sweeter and more nocturnal than this one, by the way. Diva Nuit really smells like a Diva, be it from music, theater, or TV. The only difference is that she doesn't wear that feather robe and doesn't even smell of talcum powder anymore. For me, quite a hit by Eudora!

This fragrance is super juicy, with a beautiful floral and sweet but not cloying. Very different from the OG imo. It's by far the best fragrance of the brand, which has the most redundant portfolio I've ever come across. Everything is sweet, cloying, generic, linear, and with the same dry-down. And I understand that this is what the Brazilian market demands from an affordable perfume brand. The four Eudora fragrances I'd put my money on are Diva Nuit, Chic the OG, Eudora Rouge and Eudora Royal.
