Rummo Desafio

Rummo Desafio appeared in early 2020, being the third fragrance within the Rummo line, which was launched in 2019 through the fragrances of Rummo Liberdade and Rummo Aventura. This time, the concept was to find freedom and go further, facing the unexpected open-hearted. On the visual side, Rummo Desafio follows the pattern of the previous perfumes, now with a gray glass. The fragrance of Rummo Desafio is classified, by Eudora, as fougère-spicy and has notes of lemon, mandarin, ginger, and ginseng, on top; basil, violet leaves, and black pepper, in the body; patchouli, vetiver, and the exclusive accord called Eudora’s Secret, in the base. As I mentioned in the review of Rummo Liberdade, for this perfume the sales force was also instructed on the olfactory path that the fragrance follows, having as reference Y (Yves Saint Laurent). In my opinion, I don't think that kind of comparison was effective. The fragrance of YSL is fruitier and citrusy on the output, not to mention the power of a single spray. Strangely, the one from Rummo Desafio reaches the skin very sweetened, completely different from what I expected. And here I leave a warning: on the olfactory tape, it opens much more spicy and pleasant. That is, test it on your skin (always)! With the evolution, Rummo Desafio begins to become spicier and mysterious and the leaves of violets become more noticeable. Here, it looks like another fragrance totally different from the one applied minutes ago. It is less oriental and, at the same time, spicier. Again, if it is to compare with the evolution of the perfume of the brand YSL, the difference is immense! During this phase, the latter exhales a minty pineapple. To finish, Rummo Desafio closes with a greater presence of patchouli, stops projecting too fast, and did not perform well on my skin. Even having facets that navigate the oriental style, it was below the result I got with Rummo Liberdade, for example. In my opinion, a generic and completely expendable release.
