TRIP Itacaré

Trip Itacaré was launched in 2014, being the first variation (flanker) of the Trip pillar, whose original fragrance reached the Brazilian market in 2011. Now, the explorer man continues in search of paradisiacal landscapes, whose inspiration was Itacaré, in Bahia. Trip Itacaré has an aromatic-fougère fragrance, created by Rafael Marano, with notes of bergamot, lime, mandarin, orange, cardamom, and basil, on the output. Then, notes of sage, lavender, geranium, and rosemary were combined, in the body. Finally, a base with cedar and sandalwood, amber, patchouli, vetiver, and the Eudora's Secret, an exclusive accord of the brand. On the skin, Trip Itacaré starts juicy, with a lot of orange content, but it is not as citrusy as I expected. The aromatic content is very present and the highlights are the notes of basil, sage, and rosemary, which bring green, refreshing, and even spicy nuances. As it dries, it becomes a more dated-looking fragrance when the fougère signature appears. And here's the biggest problem with this perfume, in my opinion. The idea of freedom and paradisiacal landscapes, explored in the concept and also in the Trip Itacaré's bottle, loses its direction when it "gets old" and does not please the man who loves hiking and unveiling small paradises. Trip Itacaré starts very well but evolves into a perfume with a generic smell, which reminds me of deodorants sold in pharmacies in the 80s. And this type of product has no longer space in the current market, especially having been launched in 2014. The bottle repeated the visual pattern of the original fragrance, gaining a painting with palm trees on a gradient background. It is cool, but it wasn't enough to win me over.
