Flocked & Gilded

I didn't plan to buy it since i was expecting a common sour citrus note, but i got a sample and i don't regret it at all, it's beautiful. The citrus note is nothing but sweet, more tangerine than blood orange, and tinted by the cocoa and tobacco. The scent slowly evolves into a more even sweet note on my skin, that is hard to identify - i think i sense the cream and amber most. I am yet to smell if any woody notes emerge from the mix, but the current total is wonderful and definitely bottle-worthy. Upd - nope, no patchouli or vetiver for me. Maybe they need a colder environment.

Dark yet gothic sweet... It opens with an apricot spicy mix with touches of citrus & herbs. I get doses of unknown tobacco that i couldn't figure at first, then i got some mandarin, honey labdanum, benzoin, & cedar. My sample was from March 2019, today i just got back to again and i wasnt surprised that i saw this in my love blend page because of that dark apricot at the beginning that captivated my from first sniff. Beautiful.

It opens with a bitter fragrant orange, a bit oily and smoky because of the labdanum. That just mellows a bit, turning softer and a bit powdery, and that's it. I do not like at all. I'm very sorry, but it smells like kid's orange syrup medicine to my nose.

I really respect the house, but this one was a huge miss on me. I don't even know what I'm smelling, but I don't like it.
