No 6

Eutopie No.6 ends my initial journey of tests and reviews of the house. The fragrances that pay homage to the gardens of Paris (7, 8 and 9) were only launched in 2015 and, more recently, the company released Eutopie No.10 on the international market. And before you ask me about the fragrance of number 5, I inform you that I already questioned the founder of the company, who explained to me that there is only one No.5 in the world of perfumes: Chanel No.5. Better answer is impossible! Eutopie No.6 pays tribute to the Slav peoples and their genetic and cultural heritage, through the journey of the nomadic couple (which represents the concept of Eutopie’s house) towards Russia. The fragrance transits between the cultural tradition and the modernity of nowadays, combining top notes of cypriol and frankincense, on a body of geranium, labdanum and leather and a base of patchouli, cedar, musk and pepperwood, also known as clava-herculis. It was made by Nadège le Garlantezec (from Givaudan), who has already created for Boucheron, Les Liquides Imaginaires and, more recently, for L'Occitane en Provence. Eutopie No.6 has Slavic soul and Arabic smell. It follows the same style of Eutopie No.2, but with a leathery smell. If in the latter, the rose and the saffron were the highlight, in this one the mix of labdanum + leather + patchouli are responsible for the final result. When applied on the skin, the scent is slightly smoky. It was a nice idea to put the incense right at the top. The labdanum, which is warm and ambery, merges with the leather and brings a body of oriental soul. It is here that resides the backbone of the fragrance, oriental and woody. From the base, the patchouli brings sweeter facets of chocolate. The musk gives durability and the rest is just a woody accord, which cuts the sweetness. Eutopie No.6 is not as differentiated as Eutopie No.1, for instance, but it is the kind of fragrance that carries the DNA of the most known niche perfumes in the world. It exudes very well and has a high durability, remaining more than ten hours on my skin. Those who enjoy leathery fragrances should know that they have another beautiful option available in the market.

This is a really high quality niche fragrance, complex, leathery, smoky, slightly sweet, expensive smelling and not too expensive, I am a big fan

This is just great, a heavy, sweet and flowery hot asphalt potion.

First of all i must day that i am not objectf at all reviewing this fragance because for me It has a smell that i dont know why i dont like. So even when i can feel some quality here and i find a great performance i would never wear It because this is a kind of fragance that i beber know when to wear. This is not elegant so i cant imaginé wearing It on elegant eventos, but It is not soecially nice so i dont find It a sexy fragance to wear for night out for example. Too intense for a daily use too. I think It follows most of niche brands which always have a similar scent to this. So i can understand that this probably is more like a kind of art designing perfumes than really a fragance thought to be wore. The smell is very leathery, smoky and intense. It is unisex so It could be wore for a woman too although i find It a bit more masculine. Scent: 5 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 8 Quality/price: 6 Versatility: 5 Originality: 6 Global: 7

Heavy and loud, almost screechy at the opening. "No 6" is such a misbehaving scent! At some points I absolutely adore it and sometimes I feel the urge to scrub it off, yet all trough the journey I could not stop sniffing my wrist. It sometimes smells so wrong yet it's hard to resist. The first 6 hours are like this - unpredictable, changing all the time from heavenly to hellish, from intoxicatingly beautiful to annoyingly gross. It's like a ride on a very bumpy road with an awesome scenery, you kind love the view, but then sometimes on the road you do get a bit sick. The rest of the journey is smooth sailing on a woody, leather base - perfectly unisex, incensy and nice scent with a good quality. "No 6" has a staying power of 12+ hours and it's very heavy. Worth a try and worth hunting down a sample!

A weird clash in the immediate opening, reminiscent of when frankincense has burnt for too long and releases a sickly, tonka like sweetness. This is paired with a chilled leather note and some warm resinous accords. The dry down is much more favourable and mellows into something wearable and inoffensive but forgettable. There is nothing particularly standout about it, it’s a little bit of everything and all combines into something a little tedious. The performance is also terrible. People are saying this scent represents Slavic culture but I think other fragrances do a better job e.g. Oligarch Roja Dove and Enchanted Forest, Cuir de Russie Chanel

First of all I'd like to share some info regarding my olfactive experience, so that you could perhaps choose to give a better credit to the comments that I made for this brand and its products below: I've started to use designer parfums in 1989 in an age of 12, and ever since I might have used more than 100 bottle of different designer parfums.(as seen in my fragrantica profile) After getting know the niche parfum concept in 2011 with Tom Ford series I have used over 20 bottles of different niche parfums of various niche brands too.Beside the ones I purchased, I used samples of more than 400 different products (niche and designer) And the number of parfums I have tested in stores could be roughly more than 2000. The reason why I am telling this,is I humbly believe that my nose is expreienced and sensitive enough to recognize the ingredients in a composition and differentiate the genuine from the synthetic ones. By falling in love to the ingredient list shown above, I ordered the no 3, no 6 and no 10 from Eutopie, and I swear, none of the ingrdients listed is inside, For no 6, not a single shred of olibanum (which I adore and recognize so easily), no slightest trace of leather , not a hint of labdanum , not a single quantum of patchouli, no smallest particle of musk either.no nagarmotha no pepper wood, no geranium and no cedar.What I smell is a shamelessly synthetic and horrifyingly cheap mixture of such untastefully chosen and so unskilfully blended pharmaceutical flavours that we know otherwise from cough syrups or liquid vitamins.It's a money trap, I strictly advise to refrain.

Unusual and intriguing. Eutopie No.6 opens sweet and flowery. Fortunately the cedar, patchouli and leather combo keeps it from becoming overly feminine. Nevertheless it feels rich, as if there has been added some oriental essence; Amouage like quality. As time passes on the cypriol oil comes in with its calming charm. The geranium is omnipresent. All in all an exciting and captivating composition and modern work of art of perfumery.

LEATHER over a fat plush deep red rose. Lovely and dry and airy. GET IT IF YOU LIKE LEATHER SCENTS!! leaning towards feminine vibe. Still unisex though It clung to my skin after a shower and well into the next day. This is really freaking strong. I can see this causing issues if you're vulnerable to scent.

I got a leaked, sticky vial of this perfume as a complimentary sample to my online order. The fact that it leaked doesn't help, but this scent is just uncomfortably overpowering and heavy, like burnt cough syrup or something. Not a fan.

It smells a lot like Dueto Parfums Golden Boy, but better, switter, smoother. It has better ingredients than Golden Boy, but also, a higher price. It gets 5 stars from me, as it gets the job well done.

It's scent is very cheap with longevity and sillage awesome. 5/10
