Whisky Black Op

Wow. Very pleasantly surprised. This little cheapie in Chemist Warehouse has surprised me very well. The bottle is... okay, definitely out there but could be worse for $15, less kitschy than Armaf by a country mile, which is testament to Armaf really... The scent. More synthetic Sauvage EDT that is Dead-on, no ‘inspired’ fluff, no twists or thrills here. Straight up Sauvage EDT, no added lemon or reduced metallic tinge, no smoothing. Sauvage spelled out clearly, I own a total of 400ml of the original EDT and 300ml of the EDP and have done many side by sides, the Dior is louder, longer lasting, very slightly more peppery and airy, and that’s IT! The performance is, for what you’re paying, very reasonable. I get anywhere from 4-6 hours, pushing 7 sometimes, I also may be going noseblind but the performance seems pretty good as well, very nice, pretty strong initially as well but quickly subsides. The versatility is obvious, clones a best selling cologne, so ubiquitous. All in all, very pleasantly surprised, I don’t use this as a perfume per say, I use it as a ‘body mist/spray’ and I find that works for me the best, about 5-6 on my bare chest works wonders, get compliments with this once used that way, obviously paired with the EDT or another close clone like Modest Une by Afnan.

At first I thought this was going to be an aromatic woody freshie, but the lavender and musky husky warmth popped though. It's not as sweet and aromatic woody husky semi as sugar skull, which is fine, but shares that smooth -not powdery but sorta ??... the way lavender makes things, as in one of Beckhams offerings. Anyway, I really like all three I've mentioned. I'd say unisex but not unisex for newbie frag heads.. Warm, pleasant, this one isn't Linea it changes. Awesome and very decently priced

This smells really nice. It’s meant to be a clone of Dior Sauvage, which I have never smelt before, but this stuff is wow. It’s not too overpowering. I got this for real cheap too, NZD $25! Highly recommended!

This has a good anamiser and is really good for a cold and hot day. This cologne is also very cheap, I like how cheap this cologne is and how it smells so good I recommend this cologne

You really cant say much bad about this fragrance considering the price and it competes with a lot of my designer fragrances.

I tried this today in a supermarket, it's very similar to Dior Sauvage in scent although I found the opening more fruity somehow but the dry-down is definitely Sauvage-like. The performance is alas not in the same league and there are other also better performing replicas (ie Urban Elements Stone by NEXT UK) but bear in mind this was a very rough test with one quick small spray to the hand. Worth looking into if you like the Sauvage vibe, in fact this may appeal to someone who wants that vibe but in a less harsh/softer style as it's very inexpensive (around 9 Euros where I saw it). Update; Lasted about 5 hours with around 2 hours of decent projection/sillage, not bad considering the low price.

Brought this blind as I own and love Whisky Sugar Skull. Initial thoughts is this has much of the same warmth and sensuality, but is a lot more masculine (not hard vs Sugar Skull), more boozy, quite familiar, it's like an upmarket version of an Axe scent, smoother and with extra layers. Could it even be Black Night it's reminding me of, with the lavender, geranium, cedar and ambroxan. Not yet convinced this has longevity beyond a body spray, but I can see it drawing some compliments. It has a low-key intoxicating/addicting aspect to it. Would say it's an easy blind buy on account of the quality you're getting here vs price.

Absolutely incredible sauvage dupe. In the first 30--60 minutes, smells exactly like sauvage with a little bit more citrus, and the drydown I would say is 90-95% similar. Overall a fresher, lighter Sauvage for a fraction of the price. Longevity and sillage are a bit disappointing though. I only got around 2 hours on clothes, and it's probably even shorter on skin, with not much sillage at all. Nobody in my family really noticed it until they leaned really close in. Great cheapie to have in the collection overall, and nice if you want something versatile, fresh and low profile. 8/10

this smells very similar to Dior Sauvage but less intense, less sweet and much cheaper, Chemist Warehouse is selling this for only $15 for a 100ml bottle. I love Sauvage but it's very expensive, if you want a nice cheap alternative that smells very similar to Sauvage that won't burn your wallet then this is a great option.

I have Dior Sauvage edt and edp so I was stunned how similar whisky Black Op is and its fantastic . Definitely worth purchasing as a Sauvage alternative and for $15 aud it's a no brainer.

Best Dior Savauge dupe that you can buy. Smells just like Savauge and costs 15 AUD!! Projection and longevity are actually really good for the price, it doesn’t even seem real.

smells like four savage put more peppery and less fresh. it’s not really that good but i’d say it’s worth around 40-50 bucks so 15 is a good deal if you ask me

Nice Sauvage alternative for $20. If you own Zara Ice Walk you can skip this though, they are pretty similar.

Seems more 'flowery' than 'woodsy' lasts a decent amount and smells ok - 3/5 for me!

It's ok for $15 AUD. It's got a weird peppery smell, without the pepper it would be a lot better. its also got a pepper after-smell.

Usually like a blue/green frag and own a few ambroxon frags. Saw this on tiktok for $20 so wasn't expecting much. People say this smells like a clone of sauvage and when I initially sprayed it i could smell the similarity but was not convinced until I let it dry down into my skin for an hour. After that it honestly smells about 85% like Sauvage but its just missing that slightly sweet/metalic undertone sauvage has.This one is a bit more powdery/soapy but the sauvage base is definitely there. My friends know what sauvage smells like but they do not own it but this would probably fool them if they smelled it on me and I asked them what it was, however it wont fool someone that is into their frags. For $20NZD this is an absolute steal and the atomizer is actually better than some of my frags that are 2-4x the price. People that say this sucks have to keep in price in mind, for $200 NZD at a perfume discounter in NZ I could get a 100ML sauvage EDT or 10 bottles of this for the same price, obviously I prefer sauvage as its way more refined but this still does the job for gym or casual public wearing. Want a cheap sauvage clone thats close enough for $20NZD? Pick this up, you wont be disappointed.

Gifted to me as a joke. And indeed it is... 1) it’s nothing like whisky 2) yeah, it’s super generic (and gawd how I hate using that term) and yeah like below it’s a piss take on Dior Sauvage 3) fairly miserable i performance in line with its price... 4) don’t kid yourself... save your money and buy Sauvage EDP, Elixir or Parfum. 5) clearly the bottle design and marketing is designed to entrap young men with hoodies trying to feel like they have something flash... Being told a Nissan V6 Ute is great value compared to a Porsche V6. Nah I’m not being snobby either... there’s just no comparison...

In France this is a supermarket super-cheapie (in comparison to designer fragrances), particularly in the run-up to Christmas they stock gift-sets of this and many of the other Whisky flankers. For under 10 euros for 100ml you can't expect too much and I think for the price this is quite decent (lasts well for me), it doesn't smell horrible and is obviously inspired by Dior Sauvage. Granted there are better options but I think for people who don't want to (or can't) spend much on the luxury that is fragrance, well there are a lot worse too. I found that UDV Star (also a Sauvage-like scent) is a little nicer and fruitier up top, stronger too but it's been a while since I owned that one.

I’ve smelt a few guys at work and then a gentleman at the chemist the other day wearing sauvage and thought it smelt great. I heard about this fragrance so got it for $20 and couldn’t be happier. Scratches my itch along with the awesome tabac craftsman which is just as good and the same price of $20 AUD for100ml. I might even combine the two next time at work. I spray heavy on my shirts so performance isn’t ever really an issue. Modern, masculine is the vibe I’m digging these days. Recommended if you like the sauvage DNA, you’ll be very happy. Alternatively Armaf also make sauvage clone called the pride of Armaf which is another good one but more pricey at around $50-$60 AUD.
