Whisky Homme Sport

Most of Us are smelling this gem incorrectly, no thanks to already far too many Dior flankers... Lol! THIS IS INSPIRED BY DIOR HOMME SPORT (OG-2008) I've OG 2008 Dior Homme Sport as well as 2012 Iris-infused Citrus-powdery Dior Homme Sport. Whisky Homme Sport is the inspired version of the former DHS OG, without Iris of DHS'12. This is absolutely a beautiful rendition of the ultra-strong Citrus-Ginger top of DHS OG'08! I did not buy another bottle of DHS '08 after 2012 version, but always loved the simple citrus-ginger blast of the OG from time to time. Although I like DHS'12, but it isn't a summery fragrance at all especially in a sub-tropical region. However DHS OG was a perfect standard as a Summer Scent with Class! DHS'12 is infact a L'Eau/Fraiche version of DH/DHI but definitely not a Sport or a Summer fragrance to my liking. So about Whisky Homme Sport, if U love the OG'08 DHS and need a similar alternative without wasting too much time/money/energy in owning it, then this should suffice. It's a no-brainer really! On it's own WHS is very uplifting fresh scent, so people who have never tried DHS OG'08 will definitely get this in a heartbeat. Also, people who don't like powdery-citrus of DHS'12 will treasure this as a go-to Summer Sport fragrance. Only condition, U must Love Citrus and U must adore Ginger with this one. No Iris, No Nose Powder here... OH BTW... the price lol... Now don't let Me get started! GET IT PEOPLE :)

I have had this cologne for a few weeks now and it grows on me, when i bought it i did not really like that must but now i really like it. It does not smell cheap for being a 7€ cologne, but it does not smell super expensive either.

Smells nothing like Dior Homme Sport, it's too musky and creamy and never any iris. I have no idea how people are getting that. If you want to draw a comparison, it's more like the ugly 2nd cousin of Chanel Allure Homme sport. Upon initial spray I get a TON of muskiness to the point where it almost smells like body odor, mixed in with a candle-like waxiness, amber, and ginger. The amber rating on the current listing for this cologne doesn't do it justice. From start to finish, the amber is more than noticeably there. Once it dries down, the BO goes away and you're left with a nice and fresh orange, citrusy, creamy drydown thanks to the amber/sandalwood backbone. That's when this baby smells the most like AHS. The tonka bean is there, just blended suprisingly well to add to the creaminess, never too sweet like it tends to get in some scents. What I never get in this is the patchouli, but that might just be my skin, who knows. It sticks around for a good 3 hours at arms length before it becomes a skin scent, overall it's OK but there are plenty of other sport frags in my collection I'd rather reach for, including DHS and AHS. Overall: 6.5/10

Stole an old bottle from my dad as I missed this frag a lot. It was bought long-long ago so idk if since then it had been reformulated or not. It’s a really fresh and cheering frag! I find it most suitable for hot weather as it feels like a cool citrus water with some herbal notes (it’s sage). Yes, it a sports scent mostly, but I remember using it while travelling by car n planes. You may find some a bit soapy shades in it, but ‘ey’re manly and not cheap. Citrusy sage with water! And I like sandalwood here (I often get nauseous from it since it’s mostly synthetic now, but we remember this time I have an old bottle). Ginger here’s used as a spicy note and it makes the frag even more fresh. I recommend at least to try it as an interesting experience. It’s not expensive and has a really awesome quality. Also, I find it a pure unisex.

It's kind of a mash-up of the original (masterpiece IMO) Dior Homme Sport (2008) with vibes of the most recent edition of DHS (2021 - although Whisky Sport was released well before 2021) in that at least to me, it's not so ginger and citrus focused somehow, or perhaps because it's different citrus not the citron from the 2008 original. In any case this is surprisingly nice and while it doesn't seem to project greatly it lasted a decent amount of time for me for such a low-priced fragrance and of this type (around 6 or 7 hours). Not really a satisfactory replacement for DHS in terms of scent but it's good value for around 10€/100ml and not everyone has the cash to splash on Dior.
