Absence

This is both a love story and one of heartbreak! Visiting Bangkok and keen to try some Thai niche brands, I sampled this yesterday at one of the Skonx concessions. In a state of sensory overwhelm I left without a bottle. The super friendly sales associate gave me a sample. And I have revisited it in the cold light of day as I board my flight back to London Heathrow and I’m in love and filled with regret. Absence is a perfect blend of sharp citrus, earthy green cannabis with a sweet vanillic amber base. Not only this, but it is so well priced and blooms beautifully on the skin. I would say this is suitable for all seasons and signature appropriate. I’m shocked to be the first reviewer of this wearable, unisex creation. Please does anyone know how I can get this in the UK!?

Was more taken by the opening than the dry down where it flopped for me. The green smokey (didn’t quite conjure cannabis), vetiver, citrus has an interesting lofty feel to it which captures ‘absence’, but as it dried it became sweeter than my tolerance and when combined with the smokey palo santo made me feel slightly nauseated unfortunately. But that’s just me (first reviewer below enjoyed much more) and the brand as a whole has some interesting offerings.
