Reve d'Anthala

Picked up some samples yesterday from that more edgy and directional department store close to that big behemoth on Brompton Road (London). Very pleasant Jasmine/ Vanilla number. Very good ingredients and quality and it is pleasant from first spritz to dry down. However, it lacks some counterpart: something pungent or sour to make it more interesting. Very sweet, very powdery and very gourmand. Just too sweet and linear. Wearing this you could run into danger to be mistaken for a cake and take a bite out of you, it is that yummy. But then again, so you wanna smell like a cake? Probably a good base for layering with other scents (if you wanna have a really heavy vanilla base to start with) Very fair and good price point for a niche fragrance that I place on par with Diptyque.

Well...it's quite sweet even for my gourmand tastes! It's exotic and sweet, like a creamy cocktail with extra vanilla topping. It's a like, but not something that I would wear daily...I prefer Bronze Goddess over it, with it's Pinacolada vibe.

152) 2€ shower gel C'est l'odeur du Tahiti douche au Tiaré, un savon liquide bon marché. Je ne serais pas sincère en utilisant un mot plus qualitatif que nul ou affligeant. It is the scent of Tiare Tahiti douche, a cheap liquid soap. I would not be sincere if using a more qualitative word than zero or distressing.

Strong with tiare, vanilla and musk. Smells very very similar to body products Karite des Iles by La Sultane de Saba, more sweet and powdery though. Strong and headach-y for me.

In french: Une belle réussite pour ce parfum qui Me transporte vers une plage ensoleillé d'un pays exotique, un peu dommage que la vanille soit si présente! Les hommes aimant les parfums vanillé gourmand peuvent tenter celui-ci l'été pour son coté plus floral.
