Most Precious

This perfume is gorgeous. I had the pleasure of meeting it when I was a preteen when a local department store had a section with some hard to find vintage perfumes and it was not expensive to my surprise. It was the pyramid bottle with the goldish green juice inside that caught my attention but it was the first wiff on the back of my hand that stole my heart A good perfume can conjure a whole scene in my mind if it creates an atmosphere and this does. I pictured a petite and delicately featured girl, she is innocent, heart breakingly beautiful and effortlessly sexy with honey colored wavy/curly hair in a very fluid and romantic summery dress with an alluring floral print walking barefoot in a garden being spotted from afar by a gorgeous young man who promptly moves in to introduce himself. As he comes near the waft of her Most Precious solidifies his notion that he must have her..It has some of the DNA of White Shoulders but it's not powdery, but a bit green, dewy and succulent, while being delicately floral and innocent. There is a very appealing violet like note to it though there are no violet notes in it. I imagine the blend of certain flowers is creating that feel, almost like the Choward's violet candies I like so much lol. It's sweet, but not in a gourmand way, just in a sweet, innocent floral way. I am determined to find a sealed vintage pyramid bottle of the perfume. And I love it's sweet aqua packaging. Just a piece of a more innocent time and a salute to sweet, more innocent, romance novel kind of femininity.

This has become my Holy Grail of spring fragrances. I inherited a bottle from my Great Grandma Bird, the little heart shaped Eau de Parfum, and I wore it all spring long for a couple of years. Then I could not find it anymore. I never quit looking, and finally found a bottle, the pyramid shaped spray, in 1990, fifteen years later, on sale, brand new, at a local upscale department store. I bought it immediately. Later, I wished that I'd bought three or four of them, because I never saw it again. I used every last drop of that bottle, too. And since then, it has remained in my mind, Most Precious, a perfumed dream of spring woods and sweet summer days. I wish someone would revive it.

Such a lovely fragrance. I bought the cologne based on the review from Jobob and I'm glad I did. It is soft and pretty, a nice floral similar to White Shoulders. It is a little greener and fresher than White Shoulders. I plan to eventually purchase the perfume if I can find it. It is perfect for spring and summer. It wears close to the skin but seems to last a good 4 or 5 hours on me. A wonderful, soft and pretty vintage fragrance that I enjoy.

A lovely scent that is similar to white shoulders minus the powder notes. Subtle gardenia, orange blossom and delicate green notes on me. Too bad it’s discontinued. I recommend picking up a vintage if you can find one. Mine is probably at least 50 years old and smells great!

Pretty, pretty, pretty. Feels more current that White Shoulders. Possibly because it wasn’t as famous. Notes are as represented and smooth as can be. Sometimes you just want a lovely white floral that doesn’t scream. This is that.
